US Defends Use of MOAB in Afghanistan, Despite Questionable Results
An $18M bomb and even the US says only 36 (civilians/terrorists?) were killed. We have wiped out larger wedding parties with a drone launched missile.
We don’t hear much about the tunnel system that was supposed to be a target. Those are easily replaced if it was hit or indeed existed.
We did the same thing with tunnels in Vietnam. That didn’t turn out so well.
This was a “sucker is born every minute” circus side show. Why not an airstrike then walk in with explosives and do the job right?
More and bigger. That is what is supposed to impress us and justify “rebuilding” the biggest, most expensive by far and grossly inefficient military on the planet.
I am reminded of the million a piece in 1960s dollars pen the government developed for use in space. The Russians used pencils.
