Yet we are aware that by posting the 10 Rules of Propaganda… we will be accused ourself of distributing propaganda — Russian propaganda.
We plead nolo contendere… comrade.
https://dailyreckoning.com/the-10-rules-of-propaganda/

BY BRIAN MAHER
Lord Arthur Ponsonby was a British diplomat and politician, dates 1871–1946.
This keen and cagey fellow pinpointed 10 rules of propaganda. They are these:
1. We don’t want war, we are only defending ourselves.
2. The other guy is solely responsible for this war.
3. Our adversary’s leader is evil and looks evil.
4. We are defending a noble purpose, not special interest.
5. The enemy is purposefully causing atrocities; we only commit mistakes.
6. The enemy is using unlawful weapons.
7. We have very little losses, the enemy is losing big.
8. Intellectuals and artists support our cause.
9. Our cause is sacred.
10. Those who doubt our propaganda are traitors.
A daily scan of the newswires calls to mind three or more of these propaganda rules. On some days, six or seven. On others still, all 10.
We refer specifically to the conflict presently arage in the eastern European nation of Ukraine.
Let us now consider these rules. We will not take up each of them since some rules relate closely to others. We will instead weld these together. To proceed…
1. We don’t want war, we are only defending ourselves.
2. The other guy is solely responsible for this war.
On how many occasions have you read or heard condemnations of Mr. Putin’s “unprovoked” act of aggression?
To phrase it differently, when has it not been described as unprovoked?

Not even close to covering depositors.
What! You still keep savings in a bank?
https://www.dailywire.com/news/no-bailout-for-collapsed-silicon-valley-bank-yellen-says

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Sunday that there would be no bailout for the collapsed Silicon Valley Bank.
Appearing on CBS News’s “Face The Nation” with host Margaret Brennan, Yellen said the government would assist regulators in helping protect depositors but made clear that there would be no federal bailout for the major tech bank.
“Let me be clear that during the financial crisis, there were investors and owners of systemic large banks that were bailed out,” Yellen told Brennan when asked whether the U.S. had ruled out a bailout. “And the reforms that have been put in place means that we’re not going to do that again. But we are concerned about depositors and are focused on trying to meet their needs.”

“Freedom means freedom from forces and circumstances which would turn man into a thing, which would impose on man the passivity and predictability of matter. By this test, absolute power is the manifestation most inimical to human uniqueness. Absolute power wants to turn people into malleable clay.”
Author: Eric Hoffer
Many wonder why things are as they are today, why unique and sovereign individuals gather in large groups en masse, (as one) why they seek and embrace the herd mentality, and why they demand a dominate government, when this behavior can only lead to a loss of identity and an elimination of all critical thought. This does not happen due to a lack of intellect, it does not happen because of any intentional desire for one to destroy his own free will, it is the result of purposeful long-term planning on the part of the ruling class, and the voluntary acceptance of dependency by the masses. This technique, is in essence, the use of people as chattel, little different than that of animals, by the select few in society whose aim is to control all others. It is humans using and abusing humans as a matter of policy. This is why the (State) government schooling system was created in the first place, and in today’s highly technological environment, this designed experiment is proving its worth to the evil ‘elites,’ and their controlled pawns in government.
None of this, as mentioned above, was or is accidental in any regard, as allowing the general populace to remain self-reliant, entrepreneurial, self-sufficient, and fully literate, is anathema to the authoritative element of society, and is considered by the powerful ‘elites’ a deadly weapon against their rule and domination. The elimination of the individual in favor of the lie that is the ‘common good,’ the dumbing down and indoctrination of each generation of children from infancy to adult by structured intellectual obsolescence, and the propagandizing and promotion of a general attitude of non-existent ‘equality’ and entitlement, leads directly to dependence on the State.
To examine our distant past, is to walk in a world that is completely opposite of this totalitarian hell-hole that is America today; an America that has been voluntarily surrendered to the few. This is due to a total breakdown of the individual in society, replaced by cogs in a machine of scared, non-thinking, dependent, conforming, lost souls, hiding in a collective mass of confused people without purpose. This once society of independent free men has allowed others to control their lives, instead of accepting themselves, and pursuing life as a confident individual. This has happened because most have turned over their children to a government system bent on destroying their drive, their individual talents, and their unique abilities to live, grow, prosper, and follow their own path, without resistance from any illegitimate authority; especially given the harm caused by the heinous ‘public’ (government) schooling system.
According to research confirmed by The Columbian Phenix and Boston Review in 1800, “no country on the face of the earth can boast of a larger proportion of inhabitants, versed in the rudiments of science, or fewer, who are not able to read and write their names, than the United States of America. Literacy had been an obsession in America since as early as 1642. In Massachusetts, children were to be able to read and understand the principles of religion and capital laws of the country at this time. Thomas Jefferson even stated in the 1770s: “Those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny; and it is believed that the most effectual means of preventing this would be, to illuminate, as far as practicable, the minds of the people at large.”
During much of the 18th, and throughout the 19th century, literacy was nearly universal in this country, but there is much more to this story. Basic literacy, reading, is one thing, but knowledgeable and active literacy is a different matter. In the past basic literacy was only the beginning, as gaining great knowledge, having the ability to communicate with others intelligently in conversation, and being able to write and successfully present thoughts and information, was common. Even with this advanced society of the time, much more was required in order to remain free and prosperous. That was the independent spirit of the individual, entrepreneurial drive, self-reliance, and a high degree of confidence.
Most all desired to work for themselves, own their own businesses, and even if one began work as an apprentice or not, he wanted to use all knowledge and assets gained in order to soon work for himself.

Those uppity Africans don’t want to be told what to do.
Time to invade…ooops…we already have.
By Daily Wire
An African delegation bucked the UN by screening The Daily Wire’s “What Is A Woman?” in honor of a women’s conference Friday, even after they were told the hit documentary did not align with the hosting commission’s values.
The Nigerian Mission to the UN screened the Matt Walsh film during an annual meeting for women’s rights, in defiance of the left-wing Commission on the Status of Women, New York. Delegates from multiple African countries were in attendance, including Uganda, Malawi, and Cameroon. A delegate from Suriname, in South America, also attended.
“The movie was very informative,” said Peace Regis Mutuuzo, Ugandan State Minister for Gender, Labor and Social Development. “The people whose gender has been arranged can never lead a happy life no matter how much they pretend because gender is biological and not ideological.”
The screening was held in collaboration with the Center for Family and Human Rights (C-Fam) and Family Watch International, two non-profits that have worked with the UN to further pro-family causes. In response to the event, Daily Wire host Matt Walsh said it was clear African nations do not want gender ideology imposed on them.

It was a bizarre collective display of a whole group of politicians not understanding some pretty basic things about how not to act around journalists.
Testifying with Michael Shellenberger before a House Subcommittee was one of the more surreal experiences of my life. I expected serious attacks and spent a nervous night before preparing for them. Then the hearing began, and an episode of Black Adder: Congress broke out. The attacks happened, but it was more farcical horror and a parade of self-owns that made me more sad than upset.
The Democrats made it clear they were not interested in talking about free speech except as it pertains to Chrissy Teigen, seemed to suggest a journalist should not make a living, and finally made the incredible claim that Michael and I represented a “direct threat to people who oppose them.” Of all that transpired yesterday, this was the most ominous development — perhaps not for me but for reporters generally, given our government’s recent history of dealing with people deemed “threats.”
Beyond that, much of the hubbub yesterday involved the many “When did Elon Musk start beating your wife?” questions, and the line about me being a “so-called journalist.”
Regarding the former, both ranking member Stacey Plaskett and Texas Democrat Sylvia Garcia repeatedly asked questions about when I first got Twitter Files information, and from whom. It was a bizarre collective display of a whole group of politicians not understanding some pretty basic things about how not to act around journalists.

If successful, the case against Julian Assange will set a legal precedent that enables the US to snatch and imprison anyone, from anywhere in the world, who writes or publishes facts that embarrass the US.
It will be interesting to see how the government handles (or not) the fact that the NYT published much of Julian’s info.

This is the second video in my ongoing art series The Disappearing of Julian Assange, about the way Assange’s image is being deliberately erased from the public’s consciousness:
Transcript:
Like a stretched-out loop of VHS tape, if you do a Google Image search for Julian Assange today, you will only get pages and pages of stale, outdated pictures, repeating over and over.
That’s because there have been no official images of him since May 1, 2019 when the paparazzi snapped a bunch of pics of Assange through the window of the prison van including this iconic pic of him, staring right down the barrel of the camera, holding up a defiant fist.
But that was nearly four years ago. In a culture hungry for novelty, this is death to a story.
Because if you work for a media outlet and you go to a professional image library like Getty or AP or Reuters and you can’t find anything new to run your story with, that story is going to get buried.
More than ever before the internet demands new, fresh images all the time and inhibiting the press’ access to them is a small, but significant act of sabotage.
If successful, the case against Julian Assange will set a legal precedent that enables the US to snatch and imprison anyone, from anywhere in the world, who writes or publishes facts that embarrass the US.
The ramifications are enormous for pretty much everyone on planet earth, but especially foreign journalists who might want to write about what the US war machine is doing to their country.
But with only this worn-out tape of increasingly vintage images to present them with, the stories defending Assange and warning of what this precedent means often go unseen.
Is this deliberate? I don’t know. But for the US war machine, it’s certainly very convenient.
In case you missed it, here’s In My Wallet, the first video in my The Disappearing Of Julian Assange series:
