A Lone Voice of Principle in a Sea of Hypocrisy

Posted by M. C. on March 11, 2025

It is the same Republican Party that weaponized debt concerns under Obama, only to balloon spending under Trump, Biden, and every administration before them. They do not fear big government; they fear accountability.

Massie’s vote is a reminder that true liberty will never come from the two-party duopoly. He is carrying the spirit of Ron Paul and the founding principles of this country on his back while the GOP, the self-proclaimed “party of limited government,” turns against him.

From The Libertarian Party Newsletter

While Republicans campaign on promises of fiscal conservatism, Thomas Massie has once again proven he is one of the only members of Congress who truly means it. By standing firm and pledging to vote against the latest Continuing Resolution (CR), Massie refuses to play along with the never-ending expansion of government that both major parties enable.

Yet instead of being applauded, he is now under attack. Not just from Democrats, but from his own party and even Donald Trump himself.

Stand with us as we stand with Thomas Massie! >>>

This is the same Donald Trump whose supporters just celebrated mass audits of government waste, fraud, and abuse, yet now advocate for kicking the can down the road and continuing to fund that very corruption.

Libertarians recognize this betrayal for what it is: a warning that the Republican Party will always cast aside its most principled members when they become inconvenient.

Support the Party of Principle today >>>

Massie is not just one Congressman; he represents every American who believes in real fiscal responsibility and the fight for limited government. When they attack him, they attack all of us.

The Libertarian Party stands in unwavering support of Massie’s commitment to principle. We will not back down, and we will not forget those who have exposed themselves as frauds.

To the Republicans who pretend to be the party of smaller government: If you have no place for Thomas Massie, then you have no place for liberty.

Department of Education & The GAO; Audits & Incompetence

Posted by M. C. on November 15, 2024

As a former CPA/Comproller/Finance Director – we used to joke about small corporations hiring their wife’s, sister’s best friend who knew someone who took a couple bookkeeping classes in high school.  To save money.   But we are talking about our Federal Government hiring incompetents who have never actually worked in any capacity as an accountant – running the financial apparatus of our entire COUNTRY.

by Helena

The Liberal left are miserable given Trump’s statement regarding his desire to eliminate the Department of Education;  children will have no schools – there will be no money for special needs – our education system will collapse…   It already did.

The Department of Education:  Their last audit for September 2023 financial statements was a disclaimer –  “KPMG has not been able to obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence to provide a basis for an audit opinion because of unresolved errors KPMG identified in the underlying data, we do not express an opinion”.

In the world of accounting this means KPMG, the auditor, is covering their arse because the financials are ‘misleading and/or unrepresentative of truth’.  The Financial Statements did NOT delineate expenditures – in any definable mode.   Although it did assign $812 million to ‘unknown and improper loss to Taxpayers while identifying “Climate Related Financial Risk”

They spent $100 million on ‘equity’ K thru 12.  Their largess liability is loans which is what they owe back to the Treasury for over-spending.   Their largest Receivable is student loan debt which they are cancelling.  Meaning they could effectively add an additional $1.3 trillion to the Treasury Deficit if they successfully write-off their entire Asset Base.

Income and expense statements typically provided in every financial report are non-existent, MIA.   There is no breakdown of departmental use of funds – which could be a huge basis for KPMG refusing to grant them an audited opinion.  They Are Rogue.  And ANY low life accountant would fear having ANY relation with such a dervish entity given liability and LAWSUITS.

The entirety of their Assets are based on Loan Receivables to students which continue to be forgiven under the Biden Regime.  In 2023 that amount was $94 billion.   The Department’s appropriation of $881 billion in CoVid funds represents nearly 1/5 of the total $5 trillion.  $6.4 billion of CoVid aid was sent overseas.  CoVid funds cannot be traced or accounted for – by the Government Accounting Office.

The government being handed to Trump is a veritable Financial nightmare – MESS.  More than we can possibly realize – it is based on fraud.    Every agency tied to The West is based on Fraud (including NATO which I previously posted in a blog).   The money doesn’t exist.  The debt is likely 500times what is revealed as a direct result.   The US is literally well beyond broke and is hoping to blame it on Trump when reality sets in.

IRS Chief Hints At Possibility Audits May Rise For Americans Earning Under $400,000

Posted by M. C. on October 31, 2023

“One of your predecessors, John Koskinen, testified before this committee in 2015, and he said it would not be advisable to audit your way out of the tax gap, yet that’s exactly what you’re trying to do,” Mr. Palmer said.

The title should say “ALL” Americans. That mark on your back is a target.

What self respecting person would work for the IRS?

IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel faced a grilling by lawmakers on Capitol Hill this past week, where he hinted that there’s a chance that the agency will—contrary to its repeated pledges—increase tax audits of Americans earning under $400,000.

The question of whether the IRS will use some of the $80 billion or so funding boost to increase tax enforcement of people making less than $400,000 has been a contentious issue.

IRS and Treasury Department officials have pledged not to increase audit rates for this group of Americans, while Republicans and others have argued that this pledge is either false or wishful thinking.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has directed the IRS not to raise audit rates above historical levels for this group of taxpayers, while Mr. Werfel has repeatedly made the same pledge.

But a watchdog recently cast doubt on this promise, warning that Americans making less than $400,000 could inadvertently get caught in an enforcement dragnet because the IRS doesn’t have a clear definition of “high-income” and its enforcers use an outdated $200,000 high-income threshold as their default.

Meanwhile, the latest data on the tax gap (the difference between taxes owed and paid to the government) show that it has jumped from $601 billion to $688 billion, putting pressure on the IRS to ramp up enforcement and bring in more money for all the Biden administration’s big spending plans.

At the Oct. 24 hearing on Capitol Hill, Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Ala.) pointed out that former IRS Commissioner John Koskinen once testified that increasing tax audits as a way to reduce the tax gap was not an advisable strategy.
