Who killed Ashli Babbitt? – The Spectator World

Posted by M. C. on July 2, 2021

Sources close to and within the intelligence community tell Cockburn that Babbitt was actually shot by a member of then-vice president Mike Pence’s protective detail. The VP’s detail, of course, is provided by US Secret Service, not the Capitol Police. One person asserted to Cockburn over drinks in DC that this is ‘basically an open secret’ in the intelligence community.

Who shot Ashli Babbitt, the pro-Trump Air Force veteran who was killed by police during the January 6 riot at the US Capitol building? The American people were told that it was a Capitol Police officer who fired the fatal shot. But Cockburn has stumbled across some information that points to a different explanation.

Law enforcement sources suggested to Cockburn that the Capitol Police Department and Department of Justice have publicly identified the shooter as a Capitol Police officer in order to protect the reputation of the Secret Service. Cockburn also wonders if this isn’t an attempt to protect Pence from further anger or threats from Capitol rioters who wanted him to refuse to certify the results of the election on January 6.

A cover-up of this nature would also explain why the government hasn’t been forthcoming with other information about the alleged Capitol Police officer who they say shot Babbitt. Police officers who are involved in shootings are almost always identified publicly. The unnamed officer’s lawyer says that his client is being kept anonymous due to threats against his life. Babbitt’s family, however, argues that they have a right to know who shot and killed their beloved relative. Her husband, Aaron Babbitt, is suing Washington DC for access to records that would supposedly reveal the name of the officer.

Michael Brendan Dougherty floated the idea that Babbitt was shot by Secret Service on his Twitter account in early June, writing in response to Aaron Babbitt’s lawsuit, ‘I mean, at this point you have to suspect that it’s not a Capitol cop.’ He replied ‘SS’ when asked who he thought could have been responsible instead.

The video of Babbitt being shot as she attempts to climb through a broken window that leads to the Speaker’s Gallery shows a man in a suit jacket holding the gun. The Capitol Police do have plainclothes officers, but it is much more common for the Secret Service’s protective details to be spotted in suits while tailing the president or vice president.

There have been many other theories as to who may have shot Babbitt. Some on social media posited it could be Special Agent David Bailey, the Capitol Police officer who took down the Bernie Sanders supporter that opened fire on a Republican baseball practice. However, the Capitol Police issued a statement in February denying that theory:

‘As the investigation continues into the events of January 6, 2021, it’s important to correct misinformation some in the media have reported, and that’s been shared on social media. Reports identifying Special Agent David Bailey as the officer involved in the shooting in the Speaker’s Lobby are inaccurate.  The Department will share additional information once the investigation is complete.’

Cockburn reached out to Pence’s team for comment and was redirected to the US Secret Service. The Secret Service had a full 24 hours to give comment. They did not respond.

UPDATE (7/1/2021 6:15 p.m. ET):

The Secret Service finally responded to Cockburn’s inquiry more than a full day after publication of this piece. A spokesperson did not issue either a confirmation nor a denial of Cockburn’s conversations with his sources. Instead, Cockburn was directed to again read the Department of Justice press release from April in which the DoJ announces it will not file any charges against the ‘U.S. Capitol Police officer involved in the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Ashli Babbitt.’

Dr Simone Gold Bombshell: Pence’s Next-Level Betrayal – Forbidden Knowledge TV

Posted by M. C. on June 17, 2021

The two Tennessean hosts shake their heads in dismay. Brad Barton says of Pence, “That takes his Judas to a whole ‘nother level…It’s a bombshell!”

https://forbiddenknowledgetv.net/dr-simone-gold-bombshell-pences-next-level-betrayal/

During the recent America’s Frontline Doctors speaking tour in Tennessee, Dr Simone Gold, an LA-based physician with a law degree from Stanford joins self-described “hillbilly” broadcasters, Tim Greer and Brad Barton to talk about the experimental vaccine, Big Tech censorship, the FDA and more.

Dr Gold publicly reveals for the first time a meeting she had in July 2020 with Vice President Mike Pence, in which she explained to him how the way to win the Election in November was to have the President sign an Executive Order to make Hydroxychloroquine an Over-the-Counter (OTC) drug, available without a prescription in the US, thereby bypassing the horrifically unethical Big Pharma-financed attack on a safe, WHO-designated Essential Medicine, approved in the US since 1955.

Hydroxychloroquine is OTC in the tropical countries where COVID-19 cases and mortality rates are found to be the lowest, due to the drug’s proven effectiveness, both against a range of early-stage viral infections and as a prophylaxis to prevent such infections.

Dr Gold informed Pence that if the American People were given access to this drug, the cases would go down to zero, which would make Trump look like a hero and guarantee his re-election.

She told Pence, “Once it’s Over-the-Counter, there’s nothing Congress can do, there’s nothing the doctors and pharmacists can do to stop it…They were going to hold this coronavirus thing over him [Trump], so if the death rates went down to zero, it would have been beautiful.

“I didn’t understand how I met obstruction at every level…It’s tragic that the President never heard this. And the reason that it’s tragic is I know that the President, himself was an advocate of hydroxychloroquine.”

Dr Gold hired a legal team to create a draft of the legislation. “We actually presented it to the Vice President.”

The two Tennessean hosts shake their heads in dismay. Brad Barton says of Pence, “That takes his Judas to a whole ‘nother level…It’s a bombshell!”

Dr Gold continues, “I’m a doctor and a lawyer, so I was upset for the patients…and then, on the policy level, it would have changed the outcome of the world.”

What Pence Should Have Done on January 6 – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on March 17, 2021

The “state” in action. More Pennsylvania groundbreaking.

I doubt Pence wanted Trump to win.

For example, when the jurists on Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court took it upon themselves to change PA’s election laws, they violated the Elections Clause , which stipulates that in the states, only legislatures are empowered to make election laws. Yet, those jurists aren’t being made to account for their unlawful usurpations, even though they struck at the very heart of the American system — our elections, which give us our democracy.

By Jon N. Hall

Some 2020 changes to election law in the battleground states were prima facie violations of the Constitution.

It’s heartening to know that members of PA’s legislature can occasionally summon up the will and grit to impeach jurists, but they don’t seem to have done so in these recent cases (see this and this). But the PA legislature is also guilty. Like their Supreme Court, the PA legislature has also violated the law by the way they changed their election laws, as did other battleground states.

It’s necessary to stress that many of the actions taken by public officials in the 2020 presidential elections ran afoul of the law. It’s irrelevant that the infractions were committed in full view of the public and by groups, such as legislatures and courts; they were still breaches of the law. It’s much more egregious when public officials break the law than when individuals do, as the People have put their trust in public officials and have given them extraordinary power.

The 2020 presidential election is one of failure. The safeguards meant to ensure the integrity of our elections broke down on every level of government, local, state, and federal, and involved every branch of government, legislative, executive, and judicial. The issue here is not only that the changes to election law to counter the Wuhan virus opened the gates to even more election fraud; it’s that the changes violated the law.

One would be hard pressed to assess which of the many government failures in the 2020 presidential election was most damaging to the republic. But in the end, the massive government failures and lawlessness of 2020 could be fixed only by a lone individual and only on the final day of the election. On Jan. 6 at the joint session of Congress that counts the votes of the Electoral College, Mike Pence as President of the Senate could have put a patina of legitimacy on an election shot through with illegitimacy and fraud. But how could he have done that?

Some argue that a V.P. cannot unilaterally and summarily reject disputed states’ electoral votes. In “All Pence Can Do Is Count,” a Jan. 3 commentary in The Wall Street Journal, Alan Charles Raul and Richard Bernstein wrote: “Neither the vice president nor Congress has the power to reject electoral votes.” These analysts were saying that the joint session of Congress to count the Electoral College votes is just a formality, and the only action that can be taken in the session is to simply “rubberstamp” the states’ electors. If members feel certain that election laws were unconstitutionally changed or that election fraud was determinative in certain states, that’s a pity, for they are compelled to “ratify” those tainted ballots.

In “Alexander Macris on the 2020 Battleground States” at LewRockwell, this writer showed why the above position is wrong. The article contends that the V.P. does have the power to reject disputed states’ electoral certificates. If the reasoning is correct, then some might say that the Constitution has a hole in it that needs to be filled. In fact, the article cites a 19th Century senator of that opinion. But perhaps the “hole” was deliberate; perhaps the drafters of the 12th Amendment foresaw unconstitutional “elections” and created an escape hatch for some future V.P. to save the republic.

This escape hatch, however, involves defying the Constitution. Democrats would surely raise holy hell about Pence rejecting disputed states’ certificates, and moan about traducing the supreme law of the land. But why should Pence have obeyed the Constitution when so many other public officials hadn’t? Also, what would have happened to Pence had he rejected tainted certificates? President Trump wasn’t about to sic federal marshals on him. Maybe Chuck and Nancy would have gotten apoplectic, but so what.

If a V.P. were to “go rogue” and reject tainted certificates from “rogue states,” with the disputed battleground states’ votes not being counted and with only the states whose certificates had been accepted determining the winner, the nation’s domestic tranquility, such as it is, might end, at least in Blue States and Democrat cities.

With only two weeks from Jan. 6 to Inauguration Day, there wouldn’t be enough time to conduct do-over elections in the disputed states, as the Texas case had urged in December. But because the illegalities in those states were just the most obvious problems, what Mike Pence should have done is to reject the certificates of all the states. And he should have executed the rejection with panache, by ceremoniously tearing up the certificates from the great states of Georgia and Pennsylvania, much like Nancy Pelosi tore up her copy of Pres. Trump’s last State of the Union speech. Pence should then have fed all the remaining certificates into a paper shredder, an appropriate end to an election irremediably corrupt.

Had Pence rejected all certificates, we’d have had a tie which would have thrown the presidential election into the House of Representatives. And that’s where the 2020 presidential election with all its irregularities and improbabilities belonged. The voters of Pennsylvania, Georgia, and all the other rogue states would still be able to weigh in, but with their U.S. representatives rather than electors.

Had Pence rejected all certificates, singlehandedly throwing the election into the House, it would have been a fitting rebuke of the government failure that made the 2020 elections a mockery of democracy. Mike Pence was a great V.P.; this kid still admires him. And it’s not “fair” that one man be made to correct all the failures of everyone else. But in not taking the bold unprecedented action that was clearly called for, Mike also failed. And that’s a tragedy, because such an act might have at long last provided the impetus for real systemic reform in American election law. Instead, with H.R.1 – For the People Act of 2021, the most hideous horrendous anti-democratic legislation in over 150 years, Democrats seek to codify the battleground state outrages and impose them on the entire nation. It’s as though the Dems were trying to foment another civil war.

There are many authors of the failure that has given us the most un-American government we’ve ever experienced. But perhaps the biggest failure of the 2020 election is that the People of this great nation continue to tolerate the failures of their government.

Two Contrasting Commencement Addresses a Half Century Apart – PaulCraigRoberts.org

Posted by M. C. on June 4, 2019

When John Kennedy was president, America was a proud country.  Today it is a shameful place in freefall, a grave danger to its own citizens and to the rest of the world.

https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2019/06/02/two-contrasting-commencement-addresses-a-half-century-apart/

Paul Craig Roberts

On June 1, 2019, American vice president Mike Pence gave the commencement address at West Point. He told the graduates that it was a certainty that they will “be on a battlefield for America” and “will move to the sound of guns.”  https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-vice-president-pence-west-point-graduation-ceremony/

Pence did not say for whose agenda they would be fighting, whether it would be the oil companies’ agenda, or Israel’s, or the New York Banks’, or for the neoconservative ideology of US world hegemony, or for the CIA’s drug business.  Indeed, the West Point graduates will die without ever knowing for whose interest they are fighting.

Pence’s address is a perfect illustration of The Matrix at work.  The innocent and ignorant graduates are sitting ducks for recrutiment into what US Marine General Smedley Buttler described as the hit men for American corporate interests.  https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2019/05/27/something-to-think-about-on-memorial-day/

War and the preparation for war has been the hallmark of America since the Clinton regime. In American history, the wars have always been for empire and the economic and financial interests that benefit from empire. There are very few years in American history when the government has not been at war with someone.

On June 10, 1963, 56 years ago, a much greater man than Pence, President John F. Kennedy, gave the commencement address at American University in Washington, D.C.  His speech stunned the military/security complex.  It revealed a president who was committed to establishing a peaceful relationship with the Soviet Union.  This would be a peace that would threaten their budget, power, and importance.  Kennedy’s brave speech was a nail in his coffin. Five months later President Kennedy was murdered by the CIA and Joint Chiefs of Staff in Dallas Texas.  Their deed was blamed on Oswall, who was promptly shot dead inside the Dallas jail by a private citizen given admittance for that purpose. Thus, the set-up fall man was murdered before he could deny his involvement.

President Eisenhower had rattled the cage of the military/security complex when he said in his last public address in 1961 that they were a threat to American democracy.  But at American University President Kennedy went further and said his intention was to make peace and to remove the threat of war:

“I have chosen this time and this place to discuss a topic on which ignorance too often abounds and the truth is too rarely perceived–yet it is the most important topic on earth: world peace.

“What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children–not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women–not merely peace in our time but peace for all time.

“I speak of peace because of the new face of war. Total war makes no sense in an age when great powers can maintain large and relatively invulnerable nuclear forces and refuse to surrender without resort to those forces. It makes no sense in an age when a single nuclear weapon contains almost ten times the explosive force delivered by all the allied air forces in the Second World War. It makes no sense in an age when the deadly poisons produced by a nuclear exchange would be carried by wind and water and soil and seed to the far corners of the globe and to generations yet unborn.” https://www.jfklibrary.org/archives/other-resources/john-f-kennedy-speeches/american-university-19630610

Kennedy also had  confidence in America that no president since, except Ronald Reagan, had:

“We can seek a relaxation of tension without relaxing our guard. And, for our part, we do not need to use threats to prove that we are resolute. We do not need to jam foreign broadcasts out of fear our faith will be eroded. We are unwilling to impose our system on any unwilling people–but we are willing and able to engage in peaceful competition with any people on earth.”

Contrast Washington today with President Kennedy, and you can see the total collapse of America.  Today we seek to stamp out all news except from those presstitutes that repeat the official explanations. We jam foreign broadcasts by requiring Russian news services to register as “foreign agents.” We close down websites and ban free speech from Facebook and Twitter. We have zero diplomacy, only threats.  Indeed threats are America’s hallmark.  Threats of war.  Threats of sanctions. The President of the United States gives away other countries’ territories and decides who is to be the president of Venezuela.  Today’s America is scared to death of peaceful competition and imposes tariffs on everyone from Mexico to China.

When John Kennedy was president, America was a proud country.  Today it is a shameful place in freefall, a grave danger to its own citizens and to the rest of the world.

Pence Promises Combat to West Point Class – News From Antiwar.com

Posted by M. C. on May 27, 2019

Madeleine Albright – What is the point of having an army if you can’t use it.

https://news.antiwar.com/2019/05/26/pence-promises-combat-to-west-point-class/

“It is a virtual certainty that you will fight on a battlefield for America at some point in your life. You will lead soldiers in combat. It will happen,” Vice President Mike Pence told the most diverse graduating class of West Point on Saturday, “Some of you will join the fight against radical Islamic terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq.” This speech comes just a day after the Pentagon confirmed 1,500 more American troops will be deployed to the Middle East.

“Some of you may even be called upon to serve in this hemisphere … When that day comes, I know you will move to the sound of the guns.” Pence warned the 980 newly commissioned second lieutenants. We know Pence spoke with Juan Guaido the night before he declared himself President of Venezuela almost igniting a civil war in the country. Guaido has since had several failed attempts to overthrow Maduro, it seems the only way to get Maduro out of power would be with an invasion of a US coalition. Let’s hope Pence doesn’t get his wish of this class serving in our hemisphere.

Pence went on, “As you accept the mantle of leadership I promise you, your commander in chief will always have your back. Mr. Trump is the best friend the men and women of our armed forces will ever have.”

If President Trump was truly the best friend of the men and women of our armed forces, 1,500 more of them would not be on their way to the Middle East right now. He would actually have ended our wars in Syria and Afghanistan like he said he was going to. The 2019 class included 233 women and 110 African Americans. How about we don’t celebrate this diversity by sending them off to die in pointless wars Mr. Vice President?
