The Falsest of Flags; Gimme True Colors!

Posted by M. C. on June 13, 2025

It seems obvious that at the top of the pole today should hang the Israeli flag since they have parasitized our nation, corrupted congress, the media

There is no honest government Of/By/For the people, but an empire controlled by dark forces always promising fun and ice cream.

By Capt. Randall

The Stars and Stripes we proudly fly ain’t the one I pledged allegiance to as a kid.

It seems obvious that at the top of the pole today should hang the Israeli flag since they have parasitized our nation, corrupted congress, the media, The Donald and even many confused “Christians.”  Our once iron-clad Bill of Rights is no more when one cannot criticize 20+ hyper-expensive years of Mideast destruction on behalf of Israel much less an ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Why else would the U.S. government continue to fund the destruction of Gaza and the “solution” to Israel’s overpopulation problem?

Or bomb Yemen and threaten Iran?

Or continue to support Zelensky and obsolete NATO while threatening Russia?

Or stage a Soviet style military parade,…on Flag Day???

Just watching network dorks and douchebags who are always wrong or lying support this insanity,.. makes a little puke rise in my throat.

Don’t they realize our militaristic foreign policy wasted trillions that actually could have made America great and prosperous,… and that World Peace and Cooperation wouldn’t cost a nickel?

Or that resultant inflation, loss of self expression/connectedness/loneliness are key health problems causing anxiety and despair which fuel our epidemic of addiction, suicide and chronic disease?

On Down the Flagpole

Below the Star of David should hang a Nascar-style flag bundle of high paying sponsors; the “defense” industry, Wall Street, Big Pharma, Big Ag/Big Food,…not to mention “Silly-con Valley” subversives and their AI scams designed to control public perception and micromanage people.

Almost as egregious but no less deadly are the endless cheery drug commercials and come-ons for Fruit Loops, fast foods and soft drinks.

Oh how I despise washed-up celebrities lending their images to endorse a wide range of sketchy products and rip-offs!

Only idiots argue political theater while ignoring the fact that the U.S. has become the 4th Reich, a National-Socialist-Fascist nation purely aligned with industry, oligarchs and Zionist Neocon traitors.

All information is controlled, even to the extent that lifesaving treatments are “forbidden.”

Laws and lawyers protect the system and elite criminals over their victims.

Universities project authority favoring corporate sponsorship.

Employers seize overseer power over workers, as do institutions and all top-down chain-of-command organizations.

Police wear military armor and work in heavily armed gestapo-like SWAT teams.

Travel is a pain in the ass.  We are all digitized, face recognized, tracked, thought-surveilled and DNA registered.

The Patriot Act has outlived “terrorism” if that was ever a real thing.

And Why?

Pentagon proposes slashing funding for Stars and Stripes – Task & Purpose

Posted by M. C. on February 11, 2020

Lederer said in a Stars and Stripes story that the Pentagon plans to cut $7 million from the newspaper’s budget, or about 35% of its annual expenses.

That is just a handful of big bombs. May S & S got too close to the truth too many times for it’s own good.

The Defense Department plans to cut funding for Stars and Stripes, the editorially independent newspaper for U.S. troops and their families overseas.

“We essentially decided that — kind of coming into the modern age — that newspapers are probably not the best way that we communicate any longer,” the Pentagon’s acting comptroller Elaine McCusker said during a briefing Monday about the Defense Department’s budget request.

The decision to cut funding for Stars and Stripes came as a result of a Defense Department wide review that looked at trimming costs, said McCusker, who could not say exactly how much the Pentagon wants to cut the newspaper’s subsidy by.

(Disclosure: This reporter worked for Stars and Stripes from August 2005 until December 2011).

Stars and Stripes publisher Max Lederer said he was notified on Monday that the Defense Department plans to eliminate all appropriated funding for the newspaper starting in fiscal 2021.

“Consequently, I have just begun to evaluate the impact to operations,” Lederer told Task & Purpose. “The loss of funding to support the Stripes mission around the world will definitely reduce the ability of the Stripes staff to gather, produce, and deliver the content needed and desired by the military community. The men and women who sacrifice every day for the safety of our nation deserve the objective and balanced unique content produced by Stars and Stripes.”

Lederer said in a Stars and Stripes story that the Pentagon plans to cut $7 million from the newspaper’s budget, or about 35% of its annual expenses.

Stars and Stripes is often the only source of information to deployed service members, especially since the Defense Department has begun preventing troops from taking their cell phones with them when they go downrage.

The newspaper first published during the Civil War and it has served troops continuously since World War II. It is available both in print and online.

Past defense secretaries have tried to phase out Stars and Stripes but the newspaper has traditionally enjoyed strong support in Congress.

Wall Street reporter Gordon Lubold first reported on Sunday that the Defense Department plans to cut Stars and Stripes’ funding as part of an effort to transfer $5 billon to higher priority projects.

“There were no previous discussions with the organization before today’s announcement,” Stars and Stripes editor Terry Leonard told Task & Purpose. “We have not had time to do an assessment. But it seems likely it will have a large impact on our ability to provide the fair, balanced and often unique content about and for our military audience that our readers have a right to expect.”

Washington’s Backfiring Bombing

Posted by M. C. on January 11, 2019

BRIAN CLOUGHLEY

Wikipedia tells us that “The Times Square Ball is a… prominent part of a New Year’s Eve celebration commonly referred to as the ball drop, where the ball descends 43 metres in 60 seconds… to signal the start of the new year.” It’s one of these silly things that is quite appealing in the spirit of the Christmas-New Year season, and most of us have a chuckle and consider ourselves slightly foolish for enjoying it.

But there was another and less amusing ball-drop on New Year’s Day, involving a tweet from US Strategic Forces Command or Stratcom, which declares it “deters strategic attack and employs forces, as directed, to guarantee the security of our nation and our allies” In the gobbledegook language of the military it, amongst other things “deters catastrophic actions from adversaries and poses an immediate threat to any actor who questions US resolve by demonstrating our capabilities.”

According to Stars and Stripes, the Stratcom tweet read “Times Square tradition rings in the New Year by dropping the big ball… if ever needed, we are ready to drop something much, much bigger.” As greetings go, you couldn’t get much more crass, confrontational and puerile than that.
