Separating the Mundane’s From Their Guns-Nice Try- The Real Issues Are Hidden

Posted by M. C. on February 20, 2013

An Erie Times letter writer’s attempt to separate the Mundane’s from their guns, via Article 1 of the Constitution is a nice try but I believe flawed.

We must start with the idea that many founder’s did not want a standing army.  They feared it would be used against the citizenry.  They may have had some foresight.  The government’s (armed) drone surveillance, DHS ammunition stockpiling and FEMA camp construction end game has yet to be played out.  The founders also leaned toward a weak central government per the (preferred by some) Articles of Confederation.  The vision was no standing armies, just civilians available when called upon to repel foreign invasion, put down domestic insurrection and rogue governmental tyranny. The nation’s defense against enemies without and within was the various state militias.

TheDailyBell.com has an interview with Edwin Vieira regarding his book The Sword and Sovereignty.  Mr. Vieira is a Constitutional scholar, having presented before the Supreme Court.  His Constitutional interpretation is state militias consist of every able bodied man.  They being armed with personally possessed firearms, ammunition and accoutrements comparable to those used by regular armed forces.  Somewhat similar to that hotbed of violence and oppression Switzerland.  Most arguments over second amendment terms such as “regulated militia” and “right of the people” leave me wanting.  This discussion of gun ownership is fulfilling.  Conventional arguments for and against gun ownership rights seem unenlightened at best.  Militias are not standing armies nor state national guards.  They were from the beginning to be just plain folks.  We Mundanes.

The US was intended to be a confederation of states with no standing army, not a powerful centralized government with an army that would control the populace and invade foreign lands.

Reread Article 1 Section 8 again with these arguments in mind.  Note Article II, section II and the “when called into service” phrase.

Don’t be fooled by this philosophic Constitutional discussion.  It is a ruse.  A false flag meant to stampede the sheep to the cliff.  Progressives, Socialists, Keynesians and anyone thinking government knows best and should control our lives versus those having the audacity to believe they can make their own life decisions, preferring to live peaceably, free to buy and sell, free of coercion, free of failed policies that generate dependence on incompetent government (as if there is any other kind), free from drug addled murderous teens and free from a FED mangled economy.

Things don’t always turn out as they were intended. The “Confederation of States” as envisioned by the Founders, morphed rather quickly into a murderous, blundering, Global thug.
