In a World Fraught With War and Danger… Signs of Hope

Posted by M. C. on January 8, 2024

The emergence of a multipolar world is a reminder that the world has a lot to be optimistic about – despite the ravages of conflict and manifold perilous tensions.

Russia and China’s strength to face down U.S. aggression is one such assurance of a better world taking shape.

Out with the old and in with the new. There is an unerring sense that we are witnessing not merely one year giving way to the next.

The world is undergoing truly historic changes that are related to the inexorable decline of the U.S.-led Western order and the emergence of a multipolar global order.

The United States is still undoubtedly a global power with hegemonic ambitions. Its possession of hundreds of military bases in over 100 countries around the world is a testimony to its formidable military strength.

Nevertheless, the Washington-dominated Western order – or so-called “rules-based order” – is in fateful decline. The emergence of a multipolar alternative order is illustrated by numerous fora, the BRICS with its growing membership, the increasing influence of the G20, and the dynamism of the Eurasian economies. All these developments bear witness to the demise of the Western order.

The substantial move away from the U.S. dollar as the premier currency of trade is perhaps the most consequential manifestation of the global shifts in power.

Empires rarely expire quietly as millennia of history show. There is always a hard-bitten struggle to maintain privileges and monopoly control. The fading of the U.S. is no different. The empire is going down screaming and kicking.

This would account for the mainspring of tensions and conflict in today’s world. The proxy war in Ukraine against Russia, the eruption of genocidal violence in the Middle East and the incendiary tensions in the Asia-Pacific with China are all related to the U.S. loss of imperial power.

Given the appalling violence and danger of these conflicts escalating into a conflagration, we nevertheless conclude the year with hopeful realism.

Russia, China, and many other nations are steadfastly refusing to capitulate to U.S. aggression.

The American empire is cornered by its own corruption and internal crisis. There was a time in history when Western powers could shoot their way out of trouble by starting wars overseas under all sorts of false pretences.

Those days are over. The U.S. and its Western partners are bankrupt in every way, financially, morally and politically. The world can see that as clear as the fable of the naked emperor.

Russia, China and other nations that aspire for a new, fairer world based on respect for international law and the founding principles of the United Nations are not going to pander to the geopolitical blackmail of the U.S. and its dying Western empire.

Despite the grim circumstances existing in parts, the world has much to look forward to in terms of achieving international cooperation, development and peace. Signs of hope are all around us.

When an empire goes down there is much grinding and gnashing. But it goes down and the world goes on.

Happy New Year to all our readers.

The Obvious Hypocrisy at the COP28… Here’s What It Means For Global Energy Demand

Posted by M. C. on January 7, 2024

by Chris MacIntosh

So much to cover. Where to start?

Marxists traditionally called religion “the opiate of the masses,” which is ironic since the Marxists now use “climate change” as the new religion. The climate change religion, however, does not even offer any such sedation, only misery for the masses.

Not only do they offer nothing, but misery they do so while ensuring they pay no such price.

These psychopathic Malthusian monsters all popped over to the UAE and then promptly lectured the little people how many showers you’ll be allowed to take each week to fix the weather.

Chuck stood up and proceeded to tell all the “elites” that the peasants are all a perverse drain on the climate and must be eliminated with all due speed. No kidding! Keep in mind this is the same Charlie who, back in 2009, at one of these absurd junkets said we all had 96 months to avert “irretrievable climate and ecosystem collapse.” So according to Charlie, 2017 was D-Day for humanity. It is a miracle we have made it nearly seven years and we’re still around. Of course, the peasants will keep being fed idiotic nonsense and kept in a state of panic.

Meanwhile

Which is not at all releasing CO2. Not a drop. You taking a shower, though? Ooh, bad.

And a gazillion bombs being dropped in both Ukraine as well as Gaza far exceeding emissions from your entire country’s CO2 emissions. Nothing to see here, folks. Move along and here, have some bugs — you’ll be saving the planet. For real.

It’s all so unbelievably absurd, which is why I was heartened by what happened with this guy.

This good looking fella here is the UAE’s Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology in the United Arab Emirates as well as the Managing Director and Group CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.

With all those titles he must be a busy man. Not too busy, though, to be the Chairman of COP28 this year. And he took this opportunity to slay some virtue signalling demons.

Responding to one such virtue signalling shrieking shill, the good Sultan said he expected the conversation to be “sober and mature,” but not “alarmist.”

He then proceeded to decisively lay waste to the idea of ending fossil fuels.

There is no science out there, or no scenario out there, that says that the phase-out of fossil fuel is what’s going to achieve 1.5°C,” he said, adding that the move would not “allow for sustainable socioeconomic development, unless you want to take the world back into caves.

Perhaps, like us at HQ here and you our wonderful readers, the Arabs can’t seem to find the science that keeps being discussed.

By the end of the conference, not even the sirloin steaks and champagne had cheered poor old grifter Al Gore who was distraught.

CNN Runs Gaza Coverage Past Jerusalem Team Operating Under Shadow of IDF Censor

Posted by M. C. on January 6, 2024

The Jerusalem bureau has long reviewed all CNN stories relating to Israel and Palestine. Now, it’s helping shape the network’s coverage of the war.

I am shocked too.

Daniel Boguslaw

The Intercept

Whether reporting from the Middle East, the United States, or anywhere else across the globe, every CNN journalist covering Israel and Palestine must submit their work for review by the news organization’s bureau in Jerusalem prior to publication, under a long-standing CNN policy. While CNN says the policy is meant to ensure accuracy in reporting on a polarizing subject, it means that much of the network’s recent coverage of the war in Gaza — and its reverberations around the world — has been shaped by journalists who operate under the shadow of the country’s military censor.

Like all foreign news organizations operating in Israel, CNN’s Jerusalem bureau is subject to the rules of the Israel Defense Forces’s censor, which dictates subjects that are off-limits for news organizations to cover, and censors articles it deems unfit or unsafe to print. As The Intercept reported last month, the military censor recently restricted eight subjects, including security cabinet meetings, information about hostages, and reporting on weapons captured by fighters in Gaza. In order to obtain a press pass in Israel, foreign reporters must sign a document agreeing to abide by the dictates of the censor.

CNN’s practice of routing coverage through the Jerusalem bureau does not mean that the military censor directly reviews every story. Still, the policy stands in contrast to other major news outlets, which in the past have run sensitive stories through desks outside of Israel to avoid the pressure of the censor. On top of the official and unspoken rules for reporting from Israel, CNN recently issued directives to its staff on specific language to use and avoid when reporting on violence in the Gaza Strip. The network also hired a former soldier from the IDF’s Military Spokesperson Unit to serve as a reporter at the onset of the war.

“The policy of running stories about Israel or the Palestinians past the Jerusalem bureau has been in place for years,” a CNN spokesperson told The Intercept in an email. “It is simply down to the fact that there are many unique and complex local nuances that warrant extra scrutiny to make sure our reporting is as precise and accurate as possible.”

The spokesperson added that the protocol “has no impact on our (minimal) interactions with the Israeli Military Censor — and we do not share copy with them (or any government body) in advance. We will seek comment from Israeli and other relevant officials before publishing stories, but this is just good journalistic practice.”

One member of CNN’s staff who spoke to The Intercept on the condition of anonymity for fear of professional reprisal said that the internal review policy has had a demonstrable impact on coverage of the Gaza war. “Every single Israel-Palestine-related line for reporting must seek approval from the [Jerusalem] bureau — or, when the bureau is not staffed, from a select few handpicked by the bureau and senior management — from which lines are most often edited with a very specific nuance” that favors Israeli narratives.

Androgynopolis

Posted by M. C. on January 5, 2024

Part 1: Ending the agathokakological man.

If every former boy who evolves into this perverted version of a man demands to be identified as a victim to garner the pity of others to justify his self-pity, who will be left to offer pity if the world is drowning in the perpetual narcissistic exploits of the pitiful?

Good Citizen

The world needs bad men. We keep the other bad men from the door.

https://thegoodcitizen.live/p/androgynopolis

— Rust Cohle

The men of yesterday are never coming back.

The transhuman agenda is not just one of species alteration at the DNA level, and iatrogenocide carnage at the reproductive level, it comprises a distinctive component of demolition through gender confusion and sex-specific trait destruction.

On the male side of the spectrum, this involves inducing effeminate and unnatural characteristics in men, to create passive, and submissive creatures who will consciously deny millennia of hard-wired psychology and biology so that the forces of global eugenics and depopulation can render their most adequate resistance impotent.

Socially and culturally this destruction has been engineered through movements like feminism and progressive education, with orthodoxies fabricated in faux academic departments to propagate terms like “toxic masculinity,” so that parents encourage their young men to actively question their innate dispositions and participate in denying their biology as something righteous and noble.

Strong, resilient, fearless men who can recognize that a war has been declared on their families, their countries, and their beliefs—denying their children a better life (not necessarily a peaceful and stable one as everything worthwhile must be constantly fought for) and the opportunity to evolve into their biological imperatives—would not so easily back down against the forces they recognize as culpable. So these men have to be, not just neutered and neutralized, but constantly humiliated and demoralized.

The struggle to hold onto those men, to shepherd and usher all their advantageous qualities from previous epochs to resurrect them in the present is a dignified challenge whose resurrectionists should be applauded.

But this struggle is either won or lost inside the family, the classroom, and online, inside The Matrix, with boys of all ages wearing a target on their backs.

The belligerents are patient. They play a long game. They have recognized that the road to manhood starts with boys, and their futures as worthy men can be robbed in advance of biological, psychological, and physiological actualization.

The forces of social and cultural deterioration have spent decades endocrinologically wrecking and psychologically targeting boys so that they never develop into those strong and useful men—the defenders of society in bygone eras.

The majority of mothers and fathers today are clueless about this war on their boys. They are lost causes in shielding their sons from the forces aligned against them, prohibiting their natural transformation into young men with measurable levels of testosterone that will increase their libido and desires to procreate in the future, blessing their parents with those coveted grandchildren.

The biological transformation of their slinky wirey frames into stout and bulk machines is no evolutionary guarantee. It may not happen, denying them the confidence that partially comes from possessing toughness and grit to defend themselves, and protect their future mate and offspring. The latter is a top three hardwired psycho-biological factor in male mate selection for females.

The other two factors for mate selection are the ability to provide for her and her offspring, and women being competitive creatures will seek out men whom other women find highly desirable. No matter what delusions programmed feminists embrace, no man who displays effeminate traits over masculine traits; is physically incapable of protecting a woman and her offspring, and who provides less than the woman, will ever be desirable to women.

The young boys of today don’t have a chance without fathers who comprehend just how many landmines have been planted along their son’s path toward becoming what his natural predisposition intended.

Today’s fathers shrug when they see young sons sedentary and catatonic in front of a screen wiling away hours each day watching other young sedentary effeminate young men pressing buttons on a keyboard while screaming hysterically at non-threatening pixelated zombies or ‘bad guys.’

Fathers shroud their culpability in convenient excuses. “It’s a generational thing,” they tell themselves as their sons deteriorate into estrogen-radiating pansies one marathon gaming session at a time.

Suppose the father is a Millennial who has already undertaken the journey from boy to man-boy in adulthood and was barely capable of conceiving life himself. In that case, he may encourage his son’s destructive behavior or even pull up a multi-colored bean bag and join him in his gaming sessions, also known as “conscious wasting” sessions.

Extensive gaming creates anxiety and stress increasing prolactin production, which interferes with testosterone production. Years spent with their eyes reflecting blue screens and obnoxious app alerts disrupting their valuable sleep cycles deprive them of the most important hours for hormonal rejuvenation.

Their mothers do not help by actively filling their kitchen pantries with processed foods, limiting nutrients essential for hormone production, such as zinc and vitamin D, which have adversely affected testosterone levels. The average twenty-five-year-old today has testosterone levels 40% lower than the average male of the same age in 1985, with the same body mass index.

The same is true for men of all ages.

By the time they are teens, if they are not considered overweight or obese on the one hand, or sickly, frail, and effeminate on the other, parents can consider their sons among the rarities who have survived the initial endocrinological onslaught; whose bones strengthen and develop; whose muscles expand to support their skeletal system, whose shoulders broaden, and height stretches to whatever figure their parent’s genes blessed them.

For the vast majority overdosing on processed chemically poisoned foods, carrying excess body fat will lead to increased aromatase activity, converting testosterone to estrogen.

Apocalypse Now: The Government’s Use of Controlled Chaos to Maintain Power

Posted by M. C. on January 5, 2024

By John & Nisha Whitehead

For years now, the government has been pushing us to the brink of a national nervous breakdown.

https://www.rutherford.org/publications_resources/john_whiteheads_commentary/apocalypse_now_the_governments_use_of_controlled_chaos_to_maintain_power

Figure One: Just stop a few of their machines and radios and telephones and lawn mowers…throw them into darkness for a few hours and then you just sit back and watch the pattern.

Figure Two: And this pattern is always the same?

Figure One: With few variations. They pick the most dangerous enemy they can find…and it’s themselves. And all we need do is sit back…and watch…and let them destroy themselves. — “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street,” Twilight Zone

Will 2024 be the year the Deep State’s exercise in controlled chaos finally gives way to an apocalyptic dismantling of our constitutional republic, or what’s left of it?

All the signs seem to point in this direction.

For years now, the government has been pushing us to the brink of a national nervous breakdown.

This breakdown—triggered by polarizing circus politics, media-fed mass hysteria, militarization and militainment (the selling of war and violence as entertainment), a sense of hopelessness and powerlessness in the face of growing corruption, the government’s alienation from its populace, and an economy that has much of the population struggling to get by—has manifested itself in the polarized, manipulated mayhem, madness and tyranny that is life in the American police state today.

Why is the Deep State engineering this societal madness? What’s in it for the government?

What is playing out before us is a chilling lesson in social engineering that keeps the populace fixated on circus politics and conveniently timed spectacles, distracted from focusing too closely on the government’s power grabs, and incapable of standing united in defense of our freedoms.

It’s not conspiratorial.

It’s a power play.

Rod Serling, the creator of the Twilight Zone, understood the dynamics behind this power play.

In the Twilight Zone episode, “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street,” Serling imagined a world in which the powers-that-be carry out a social experiment to see how long it would take before the members of a small American neighborhood, frightened by a sudden loss of electric power and caught up in fears of the unknown, will transform into an irrational mob and turn on each other.

It doesn’t take long at all.

Likewise, in Netflix’s apocalyptic thriller Leave the World Behind (produced by Barack and Michelle Obama’s studio), unexplained crises lead to a technological blackout that leaves the populace disconnected, disoriented, isolated, suspicious, and under attack from mysterious ailments and each other.

As one of Leave the World’s characters speculates, the culprit behind the escalating catastrophes, which range from WiFi outages and mysterious health ailments to cities under siege from rogue forces, may be the result of a military campaign intended to destabilize a nation by forcing people to turn against each other.

It’s really not so far-flung a scenario when you consider some of the many ways the government already has the ability to manufacture crises in order to sow fear, fuel hysteria, destabilize the nation and institute martial law.

The government has the tools and the know-how to manufacture health crises. Long before COVID-19 locked down the nation, the U.S. government was creating lethal viruses and unleashing them on an unsuspecting public.

The government has the tools and the know-how to manufacture civil unrest and political upheaval. Since the days of J. Edgar Hoover, the FBI has been using agent provocateurs to infiltrate activist groups in order to “expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit and otherwise neutralize” them.

The government has the tools and the know-how to manufacture economic instability. As the national debt continues to rise upwards of $34 trillion, with little attempt by federal agencies to curtail spending, it stands as the single-most pressing threat to the economy.

The government has the tools and the know-how to manufacture environmental disasters. Deployed in 1947, Project Cirrus, an early precursor to HAARP, the government’s weather-altering agency, attempted to disable a hurricane as it was moving out to sea. Instead of weakening the storm, however, the government steered it straight into Georgia, resulting in millions of dollars in damaged properties.

The government has the tools and the know-how to manufacture communications blackouts. Internet and cell phone kill switches enable the government to shut down communications at a moment’s notice. It’s a practice that has been used before in the U.S. In 2005, cell service was disabled in four major New York tunnels (reportedly to avert potential bomb detonations via cell phone). In 2009, those attending President Obama’s inauguration had their cell signals blocked (again, same rationale). And in 2011, San Francisco commuters had their cell phone signals shut down (this time, to thwart any possible protests over a police shooting of a homeless man).

The government has the tools and the know-how to manufacture terrorist attacks. Indeed, the FBI has a pattern and practice of entrapment that involves targeting vulnerable individuals, feeding them with the propaganda, know-how and weapons intended to turn them into terrorists, and then arresting them as part of an elaborately orchestrated counterterrorism sting.

The government has the tools and the know-how to manufacture propaganda aimed at mind control and psychological warfare.

The 10 Most Positive Things That Might Happen In 2024

Posted by M. C. on January 4, 2024

But here’s the thing: Peering through the thick smoldering smog of the ’70s, you could barely make out the dawn of this new era of opportunity. Amid fears of Paul Ehrlich’s “population bomb” and global cooling, 50 years of amazing innovation and invention were about to begin.

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/10-most-positive-things-might-happen-2024

Authored by Mike Shedlock via MishTalk.com,

A close friend told me that my articles are generally too gloomy. He asked me to put together a list of ten good things that could happen in 2024.

Ten Positive Things That Could Happen

  1. The war in Ukraine ends
  2. The war in Gaza ends
  3. AI leads to to amazing medical advances
  4. Battery advances reduce the cost of producing batteries by 50 percent and increase the milage per charge by 50 percent.
  5. Huge rare earth deposits discovered in the US and Canada with mine permits quickly granted.
  6. Mexico agrees to refine the rare earths avoiding NIMBYism and environmental concerns in the US and Canada, which reduces global dependence on China.
  7. Republicans and Democrats come up with a compromise solution to the border crisis that works, is quickly adopted, and pleases nearly everyone.
  8. Huge advance in desalination techniques provides cheaper ways of converting salt water to fresh water.
  9. New cures discovered for several types of cancer reducing or ending the need for chemotherapy.
  10. President Javier Milei’s Libertarian economic plan and government worker reduction in Argentina is a huge success.

Points #1, #2, and #10 have some controversial elements.

Eventually, the war in Ukraine will end, but the most likely way is a settlement that causes some loss of territory to Ukraine. A similar setup applies to Gaza.

Regarding point #10, socialists are probably not rooting for Milei. I believe the other 7 things would be welcome by at least 99 percent of the people.

Things Considered But Discarded
