The New Resistance Is Rising

Posted by M. C. on December 2, 2020

Another example: my daughter shared a post from Pennsylvania State Representative David Rowe, who was seated in a bar holding a drink in one hand and a phone showing the time—5:01 p.m.—in the other, with the post’s message reading “Happy Thanksgiving, Governor Wolf!” Wolf had ordered all bars and stores to quit selling alcoholic beverages at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Eve.

Whether Trump is reelected is immaterial to this cause. Indeed, given his penchant for spending us ever deeper into debt, we should hold Trump’s feet to the fire as well. We must rise above politics and start advocating for what’s best for the country and for individual freedom.

It’s the American Way, and we need to get back on this path as soon as possible.

In the 1976 film Network, a newscaster driven to the brink of insanity by his rage exhorts his viewers to throw open the windows of their apartments and homes, and shout “I’m mad as h—, and I’m not going to take it anymore.” Within minutes, thousands of people are roaring these words into the night.

In the wake of a decades-long culture war, four years of bile and lies from the left and the mainstream media, nine months of coronavirus lockdowns, and now an election possibly rife with fraud, more and more Americans are opening their eyes to the debased state of their political system and the abusive machinations of their governments.

More and more of them are spitting mad and are not going to take it anymore.

The COVID-19 lockdowns are seeing greater pushback from angry citizens who fear the loss of their jobs and their way of life. In “Civil Disobedience Over Lockdowns Spreads Across America,” Foundation for Economic Education’s Jon Miltimore cites several examples of these protests in the streets, by private citizens and even by sheriffs and country officials who refuse to carry out the extreme orders of their governors, particularly the dictates and regulations issued just before the holiday season.

In “Cops Refuse to be the Thanksgiving Police,” Daniel Greenfield reports in even greater detail the refusal of many police departments to investigate citizens in their homes for possibly violating such orders. From coast to coast, the police are bravely and righteously ignoring dictates demanding they knock on doors and disperse families and friends eating supper together.

Here in Warren County, Virginia, for example, the sheriff’s department issued a statement just before Thanksgiving instructing residents not to call 911 or the sheriff’s department to report neighbors hosting large numbers of visitors. Instead, the department politely asked those with such concerns to contact public health officials, as such matters fell under their jurisdiction.

In other words, the sheriff was saying that they were not going to be knocking at the doors of those enjoying their Thanksgiving meal.

Many Americans are also incensed over the 2020 presidential election results. President Trump’s lawyers are attempting to find evidence of possible frauds—mail-in ballots, tens of thousands of dead voters who miraculously cast ballots, massive computer irregularities and malfeasance—that if nothing else reveal the sorry state of our election system. Thousands of Americans have come forward to swear under oath that they observed such irregularities, again a sign of protest.

Social media provides more evidence of American fury with the system. With social media giants such as Facebook and Twitter censoring different outlets, including Intellectual Takeout, droves of people are abandoning those platforms for less suppressive outfits like Parler, Rumble, and MeWe.

Meanwhile, millions of Americans are expressing their anger with the system in more personal ways. Many families this past summer, for example, abandoned the public school system, switching to private schools or taking matters into their own hands and teaching their kids at home.

Others are supporting one another through social media and informal networking. For example, my friend John was at the laundromat this week, where he has befriended one of the employees. When the man asked how he was doing, John gave a disheartened answer, referencing the state of the country, at which point his friend gave him such an impassioned speech—“It’s not time to quit, it’s time to get fired up!”—that John left with his spirits renewed.

For four years, we have heard about the Resistance, a conglomeration of radicals, leftists, officials in various government bureaucracies, wealthy donors, and others, all of them determined to damage Donald Trump’s presidency or remove him from office altogether.

Now the time has come for a New Resistance. Into this merry band we should welcome everyone—Democrats, Republicans, conservatives, liberals, libertarians, men and women, straight and gay, black, brown, and white—who cherishes liberty and despises tyranny. We can make our voices heard in myriad ways, we can protest every time a “servant of the people” puts on a tin-pot hat and starts issuing edicts as if he were an emperor, and we can stick together and stand fast in the face of oppression.

Don’t Expect Any Truth From Washington – PaulCraigRoberts.org

Posted by M. C. on December 13, 2019

Paul Craig Roberts

On November 25 I predicted that the DOJ would never rat on itself. https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2019/11/25/washington-the-cesspool-of-the-world-will-never-rat-on-itself/

Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who is part of the problem, has proven me correct with his whitewash of the politically orchestrated “investigation” of President Trump for collusion with Russia to steal the US presidential election. No one in his right mind could believe such a ridiculous accusation was worthy of investigation, especially when there was not a nano-gram of evidence, as the Mueller report confirmed. Horowitz even ruled that there was no FBI political bias despite the total proof of it in FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok’s emails with DOJ lawyer Lisa Page, showing the plot against Trump:

“At the heart of GOP lawmakers’ complaints about Strzok were a series of texts from Aug. 8, 2016, between Strzok and Page, his alleged mistress, in which Strzok wrote to Page, ‘We’ll stop’ a Trump presidency. Trump is ‘not ever going to become president, right? Right?!’ Page wrote. ‘No. No he won’t,’ Strzok responded. ‘We’ll stop it.’”

Horowitz, obviously a person very short on integrity or intelligence, declared this blatent bias to not be bias. So we have a DOJ Inspector General giving us Newspeak, the language in George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984.

Horowitz’s real assignment was not to investigate, but to cover up the crime, which he did by finding that the FBI made a large number of “mistakes” that the FBI director promises new controls in place to prevent in the future. Thus Horowitz did his job. He converted crimes into “mistakes.” That is the way Washington works.

Will John Durham’s criminal investigation of the Democrats, CIA, and FBI for their Russiagate hoax, an investigation that should include investigation of the complicit Presstitute Media who are without any doubt accessories to the crime, also prove me correct?

When has the United States government told the truth about anything?

President John F. Kennedy’s assassination?
Robert Kennedy’s assassination?
Martin Luther King’s assassination?
The Gulf of Tonkin?
The USS Liberty?
9/11?
Saddam Hussein’s “Weapons of Mass Destruction”?
Assad’s Use of Chemical Weapons?
Iranian nukes?
The destruction of Libya and Gaddafi?
Russian invasion of Georgia?
Russian invasion of Ukraine?
Russiagate?
Impeachgate?

It is easy to add to this list.

America is ruled by lies. Truth is completely absent. And the American population tolerates it. Rule by lies is now the American Way.

War Is the American Way of Life – LewRockwell

“Kill one man, and you are a murderer. Kill millions of men, and you are a conqueror. Kill them all, and you are a god.” ~Jean Rostand– Pensées d’un biologiste

How has a nation that boasts of being a bastion of freedom and liberty become the most prolific killer of on earth? This question will immediately enrage most Americans, and not in any moral sense of remorse for the innocent victims around the world, but due to a false sense of exceptionalism and backward patriotism.

To do any legitimate study of U.S. aggression would take one back to the very beginning, but the past 120 years have seen the continued slaughter of innocents as a normality of the American way of life. I say this because the masses have for the most part supported this indiscriminate killing, and lauded those responsible for the carnage. There were of course dissenters from this norm, but in the end, they were mostly marginalized or worse. Those who do not tow the line of the military today are in many cases ridiculed. And given that every major event, especially sporting events, display 300 foot U.S. flags, military jets, and military personnel ad nauseam, including the recent presidential spectacle, a parade dubbed the “military show of a lifetime,” the devotion shown by the spectators is nothing less than unadulterated worship…

“Kill them all, and you are a god.” Is that how the term God is on our side came into vogue in this country? Is this notion the impetus for public justification for mass murder? Worship these days, at least in this country, has moved away from the devout, and been replaced as reverence to the state. Many churches in this country now pay homage to the military and its troops, the very ones committing murder in their names. Contradiction and hypocrisy at this level belies logic and sanity.

Soon after the birth of the Revolution, the U.S. began warring against its own people, including the Indian tribes, and has continued the war policy ever since that time. When one speaks of American history, the single constant over the past  243 years has been war. War against the American Indians, dissenting American citizens, its neighbors, and most of the rest of the world has been nearly continuous. This is not a country that should any longer be known for exceptionalism or freedom, but for war and aggression. The United States as a nation is the most brutal killing machine that has ever existed, and is continuing to kill around the globe…

What should be evident is that the U.S. and its military have been responsible for tens of millions of deaths due to its wars, its violent aggressions, and its sanctions. No other nation on earth has ever been responsible for such carnage, and no other nation has caused such widespread suffering. How many have really been wounded, disfigured, or harmed by war, chemical weapons, sanctions, and total destruction of infrastructures at the hands of the United States? How many have been displaced, and lost their families? How many continue to live with the horrors of war?…

While American citizens are preoccupied with their smart phones and their Facebook page, and languish over fake racism, gender identity, agenda driven “climate change,” and robotic sex, much of the rest of the world lives in fear. That fear is justified, and is due to U.S. aggression that is ever present and never ending.

A better way is to end war and seek peace. In order for this to occur, the general population must have an awakening, an awakening based on humility instead of arrogance, love instead of hate, harmony instead of divisiveness, and patience instead of indifference. This will require individual thought and individual action, and a mass separation from the political state. A revolution of sorts is vital if societal catastrophe is to be avoided.
