Keep On Rockin’ In The Twilight Zone – The Good Citizen

Posted by M. C. on January 31, 2022

What made their art so effective and still cherished today was that they were the rebels, the skeptics, the ones going against all the power structures of the state, the military industrial complex and framed their crusade as being anti-establishment, anti-authority and for the people. All of that has been completely inverted the past twenty years, which is part of what has killed great art in America, because propaganda cannot exist as art.

Good Citizen

Rod Serling
I want you to imagine a future, a not too distant future, where actors and musicians work on behalf of multi-national mega corporations who control all the governments of the world and work in tandem with unelected global technocrats. Imagine Elvis Presley telling those of his adoring fans who do not get themselves injected with an experimental toxin, for a virus that is no more deadly to them than the flu, that they are selfish killing machines putting all of mankind in danger by believing their bodies didn’t belong to these governments, corporations or the least intelligent and most neurotic of society. Imagine if you will these famous figures working on behalf of all powerful institutions to suppress freedom, bodily autonomy and civil liberties, while believing themselves to be stewards of righteousness and good will. In such a future, you will have entered the…Twilight Zone New Normal.

Vapid Mecca
There are numerous reasons Los Angeles is one of the most despicable places on earth. Trust me Good Citizens, I was born there. Even before the Soros-funded woke DA legalized violent crime to unleash a dystopian nightmare of deliberate anarcho-tyranny, or millions of homeless heroin addicts flocked there for the free needles and tiny canvas houses with gorgeous interstate freeway views; or the democrat policy reactions to a virus forced everyone toward a paradigm of herd animal behavior, child abuse and dehumanization, the city has always been a superficial and vapid national magnate for vain and narcissistic celebrity obsessed hordes to flock.

Actors and musicians. Musicians and actors. He has a script. She’s working on a project with so and so. “Have you heard of this new director blah blah blah? Well I’m doing set decoration on zir next film.” Today it’s also the mecca for the latest vapid and narcissistic craze of social media obsessed “hype houses” and “influencers”. Famous for downloading an application on their pocket computers and eagerly wasting their time making asses of themselves. It pays incredibly well to make an ass of yourself today. From Humphrey Bogart and Donna Reed to choreographing self debasing stunts to perform for the masses of low IQ automatons enamored with talentless nobodies. Welcome to the cultural New Normal.

When I asked a German friend what his impressions were of the city of angels, having traveled all over the United States, Europe, Asia and half of South America, he paused for a long moment to think and replied, “I don’t remember it so well to be honest. The only memory I have is the plane rising up over the pacific ocean and I looked back through the airplane window and all the way to the eastern horizon was smog and houses blended together like a wall of shit. I think my fondest memory was probably leaving.”

Neil Young
Imagine thinking because you had a few hit songs fifty years ago that you still had the power to cancel the largest podcaster in the world with over a hundred million listeners because you’re stupid enough to watch NPR and CNN and think that podcaster is disseminating “misinformation”. It takes a special level of delusion to arrive at this crossroads, willing to die on a big pharma/legacy media hill of propaganda and censorship while still believing you’re against “the man” and fighting “the system”.

Limitations of the Hatred Coalition › American Greatness

Posted by M. C. on May 18, 2021

As a political glue, hatred does have its limits. Love of country and attachment to community may work better.

https://amgreatness.com/2021/05/15/limitations-of-the-hatred-coalition/

By Paul Gottfried

Reading Michael Anton’s rejoinder to my response to an article that appeared in Chronicles, I noticed that he and I agreed categorically on certain points: Whatever madness is afflicting this country and the rest of the West can in no way be blamed on the founders of the American republic. The rot set in later, despite the political achievement of those who won American independence and framed the Constitution.

Further, the woke enthusiasm and anarcho-tyranny now besetting us may have to burn out on their own, seeing that we’ve had exceedingly limited success as a country controlling these disorders.  Assuming that we are lucky and this combination of cultural radicalism and political totalitarianism does collapse, how exactly would that happen?

According to ancient philosophers, political societies undergo deterioration (phthora) owing to both internal and external causes.  They lose the ability to deal with internal disorder, while they are increasingly threatened by foreign enemies. Adversaries jump in for the kill when aberrant political leadership acts consistently against the common good. The foreign challenges that the Biden Administration is now facing, from the hacking of fuel supplies to the war that Hamas has unleashed against Israelis, to the recent expressions of Chinese and Russian adventurism, are intended to take advantage of an administration that has turned inward toward bizarre diversions such as battling white “systemic racism,” to carrying out a “green revolution” while simultaneously paying off Democratic constituencies with increasingly devalued money.

The present administration, which represents both the woke Left and partisan Democratic interests, refuses to pay attention to a hemorrhaging Southern border. Allowing illegals to overrun a largely unprotected border to fill the country, starting with Texas, with future Democratic voters, is the transparent reason for Biden’s inaction in the face of this stampede. Federalizing elections, while removing controls against fraud, and then awarding statehood to the District of Columbia and possibly Puerto Rico would allow the Left to create a permanent electoral majority, certainly at the federal level. Packing the Supreme Court with Democratic partisans, another project of the Biden Administration, will prevent these actions from being judicially overturned.

An American government that is preoccupied with such vagaries will not likely be inclined to meet foreign challenges boldly. Making sure that our military is taught critical race theory, that the CIA recruits plenty of lesbians, gays, and transsexuals, that American embassies fly the Rainbow Pride flag next to the Stars and Stripes, and that our president cheerleads an international crusade against global warming defines our supposed national interests.

If readers of this website notice the dottiness of these priorities, so do foreign foes, who will take advantage of our nutty government. Why shouldn’t they? I certainly would do so if I noticed that the American federal administration was becoming a lunatic asylum. Our new foreign policy priorities have been accompanied by the emergence of internal problems that are likely to get worse—for example, increasing energy shortages and soaring crime rates in cities. Spiraling inflation is also underway.

But these problems may have less historical significance than what will happen if the present leftist coalition comes apart. What will transpire if, say, Islamic activists and black nationalist rioters turn on their LGBT allies, once they decide not to put up with these weirdos any longer? Save for hatred for normal people and for those thought to be on the Right plus the drive for power shared by its leadership, little keeps this leftist coalition together. It is the quintessential alliance of the haters and the power-hungry aligned against the rest of us.

What gives it cohesion is its wrecking mission. Unlike the Marxists, to whom this intersectional Left is often compared, this adversary does not offer a positive vision of a “scientific” future. It offers nothing more than an opportunity for cultural and social wreckage.

The greater danger is not that these wreckers will usher in global managerial rule, as envisioned by the Davos crowd, but that they will totally devastate our society. And so far, they’ve had a free run. They’ve pushed around the weak-minded and weak-kneed with minimal resistance, while corporate capitalists have selfishly funded their war against constitutional liberties and public order. But what will happen if the intersectional Left falls out among its members?

What if Black Lives Matter rioters fan out from inner cities to ransack fashionable leftist suburbs or, as almost occurred last year with CNN’s headquarters in Atlanta, vent their indiscriminate violence on their own apologists? What will happen to the leftist alliance if Muslim immigrants in France turn against LGBQ activists or show even more explicit contempt for the naïve sponsors of influential “antiracist” organizations like LICRA (la ligue internationale contre le racisme et l’antisémitisme)? Why should these wreckers imagine they share common interests beyond what they want to tear down?

As a political glue, hatred does have its limits. Love of country and attachment to community may work better.

The Calm Before the Storm: Use it To Gain Strength To Fight the Coming Tyranny – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on May 8, 2021

This is the way of achieving total control over the long term of this population. It is based on fear, so new threats will emerge on a regular basis in order to perpetuate a dependence on government as savior. In fact, there will most certainly be additional threats and multi-faceted attacks on the psyche of the American public. Each step of this process will bring more suffering, more misery, and more carnage. This is the nature of the ruling beast, and if their campaign is successful, the people will become easier to control as time passes.

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2021/05/gary-d-barnett/the-calm-before-the-storm-use-it-to-gain-strength-to-fight-the-coming-tyranny/

“Nobody’s going to save you. No one’s going to cut you down, cut the thorns thick around you. No one’s going to storm the castle walls nor kiss awake your birth, climb down your hair, nor mount you onto the white steed. There is no one who will feed the yearning. Face it. You will have to do, do it yourself.”

~ Gloria E. Anzaldúa

Life is full of ups and downs, of calm and crashing waves, of silence and pandemonium, of joy and heartache, of living and dying. What smoothes these ever-changing and precarious times comes only from within, as individual inner spirit and the strength it brings is the essence of not only survival, but of life itself. In order to defeat the oppression and corruption that exists in this world, in order to be free, one must always depend on self, and never cower in the presence of evil. There is in this moment a brief time of more calm, but hell is coming, and death is coming with it. Prepare to face this challenge instead of fleeing from it. Prepare to fight back!

At this point in time, reverse propaganda has begun, and it will become more pronounced in the short term. It is being and will be said more often that the cases and death over the fraudulent ‘pandemic’ are lessening, and permission to move about, albeit with state-supported caution, will be slightly increased, but only temporarily. The ‘vaccines’ will be credited for ‘slowing the spread,’ but of course this is only a lie and a smokescreen. This is the calm before the storm. It is my studied opinion that these poisonous injections falsely called vaccines will cause extreme numbers of deaths in the near future. It may be a few months or later this fall, and certainly sustained over longer periods of time, but the death counts due to the very toxic and deadly nature of all of the Covid-19 shots will weaken the immune systems of tens of millions of people or more, and cause irreparable harm. At that point when deaths greatly increase, it will be blamed on yet another strain of this fake ‘virus.’ When this occurs, new and even more deadly injections will be touted, and the cycle will be never ending.

In addition to these multiple threats, civil unrest, politically promoted and supported violence, looting, rioting, and allowed assaults will become normal, and this will lead to more lockdowns and extreme police state measures being prevalent across the country, especially in the highly concentrated population areas. The more intense this chaos becomes, the heavier the hand of the state will be.

Due to this staged calm, many falsely believe that all will return to what is ludicrously referred to as ‘normal,’ and that the destruction of the economy and financial system is not one of the agendas sought by the ruling class. This is a gross miscalculation, as in order to complete this takeover of society; the current financial and monetary systems must collapse. Controlling property and people, digitizing all money and monetary transaction, and capturing and controlling all life-sustaining necessities such as food and energy, must be accomplished before any finality of control can be assured. This requires starting over and completely restructuring all aspects of existence. This agenda cannot be accomplished by any marginal reform of this social and economic system, hence the term of the oligarchs, “building back better.”

The abhorrent CIA manipulated mainstream media, and the governing class will continually foment extreme division among the masses. This has been easy work to date, as the herd has taken the bait of its masters hook, line, and sinker. The left has been castigated more often by the right for this dividing of society, and it does seem obvious that there is some truth to this as post modern Marxists seem to revel in the destruction of morality, history, and tradition. But of course, this works both ways, and since the left and right where politics are concerned, are one and the same, and their agendas are virtually identical, taking sides is just falling into the division trap from another angle, and therefore a losing proposition. It is a better way to throw off all political ideology in favor of individual responsibility and self-awareness, thus setting the stage for the possibility of real independence for all.

Some may believe that philosophizing about these issues is not constructive and does not give specific solutions for how to defeat these monsters. That thinking is empty and without merit, and is the coward’s way out. It is merely an excuse for not taking action. In order to defeat evil, one must fully understand the enemy and how he thinks. In the case of the Covid scam, and the claimed ruler’s intent, it is imperative to forget the perceived threat, and concentrate on the end game sought. Total control of the people is the goal, and once this is known by the many, the solution should become obvious.

While I tire of saying the same thing over and over again, and of the repetition, the only viable solution to our problems is unity in disobedience, and a refusal to accept any mandate issued by this criminal cartel called the state. This strategy can destroy the perpetrators of this fraud without ever firing a shot or resorting to extreme violence that can only lead to death, destruction and defeat. As simple as this sounds, it is the most powerful response possible, and requires only that one seek independence by taking personal responsibility for himself, his family, and his own freedom. In order to help others, in order to regain sanity, each of us must first help himself, and shun all efforts to seek the rule of others or participate in collective idiocy. Stand and face adversity as an individual, or be swallowed up in a sea of mob ignorance and totalitarian madness.

“I was not born to be forced. I will breathe after my own fashion. Let us see who is the strongest.”

~ Henry David Thoreau, On the Duty of Civil Disobedience

Why There’s a Left-Right Divide among Libertarians | Mises Wire

Posted by M. C. on September 6, 2020

So while thin libertarians are primarily concerned with limiting state power and protecting private property, it is thick libertarians who often seek to infuse their political philosophy with leftist social justice exhortations and calls to fight injustice and racism everywhere, even if the state must eventually be invoked as an intervening power (e.g., Gary Johnson’s “bake the cake” fiasco, or Jo Jorgensen’s recent Tweet). As Rockwell has noted, this has happened before, with what he sees as the degradation of classical liberalism into today’s American “liberalism.”

https://mises.org/wire/why-theres-left-right-divide-among-libertarians?utm_source=Mises+Institute+Subscriptions&utm_campaign=a777ee7200-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_9_21_2018_9_59_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_8b52b2e1c0-a777ee7200-228343965

Amid the sociocultural convulsions and boutique displays of urban anarcho-tyranny that have taken place in America in recent months, there has been renewed discussion within certain circles of the liberty movement about how appropriate it is for libertarians and their intellectual brethren to self-identify as “right-wing” or “left-wing.” While libertarianism itself, which merely requires adherence to the nonaggression principle (NAP) and a desire to minimize or abolish state power, need not be considered a “right-wing” or “left-wing” political philosophy, I contend (from a decidedly right-wing perspective) that individual libertarians are almost certainly on the right or on the left.

All too often, libertarian infighting and internecine squabbles come across as mere navel gazing, with many mainstream libertarians—especially Libertarian Inc.—insisting that they have heroically transcended the old left-right spectrum. (Strangely enough, some libertarians seem to believe that this spectrum primarily pertains to red/blue politics.) Nevertheless, in recent months there have been some important conversations touching upon rights, human nature, the left-right spectrum, and what being a libertarian actually means. These conversations have taken place on podcasts such as Dave Smith’s Part of the Problem, Free Man Beyond the Wall, and The Tom Woods Show, among others.

I believe that these conversations are quite useful, as they might help convince some libertarians to abandon the hackneyed idiocy of defining and summing up the movement as “economically conservative but socially liberal.” It is a cheap cop-out, and individual libertarians should not shy away from accepting a “right-wing” or “left-wing” label; in fact, attempting to do so is an exercise in futility.

Stripped down to its very core, being right-wing entails a defense of natural hierarchies and a recognition that human beings are not all the same. This is consonant with thinkers from Aristotle all the way through the “revolutionary” leaders of the American War for Independence. Thomas Jefferson—admittedly not typically cited as a right-winger—voiced this sentiment in a letter to John Adams:

I agree with you that there is a natural aristocracy among men. The grounds of this are virtue and talents….The natural aristocracy I consider as the most precious gift of nature, for the instruction, the trusts, and government of society.

Many on the right augment their worldview by noting that there is an objective moral order in the universe—and that it is knowable to us. Imperfect human beings are capable of great evil but also incredible acts of love, mercy, courage, and creativity. The embrace of an objective moral order (i.e., natural law) can be traced back to Catholic scholastics such as Thomas Aquinas and, later on, the Jesuit thinkers of the School of Salamanca (whom Murray Rothbard considered to be proto-Austrians in their approach to economics).

The very understanding that we are born with inherent natural rights is a sine qua non for civil society that is embraced by most anarcho-capitalists, propertarians, “paleolibertarian” minarchists, Ron Paul supporters, and true conservatives on the right. They recognize that the sacrosanct rights to private property and free association do not come from any government or collective entity.

Critics of the Right toss around (what they believe to be) slurs such as “reactionary” and “counterrevolutionary.” Yet, as Jeff Deist and others have argued, when considering the twentieth century’s long and disastrous litany of egalitarian and statist experiments here in the United States (e.g., the institution of the federal income tax, the Federal Reserve, the popular/democratic election of US senators, the New Deal, the Great Society), it is almost impossible for a libertarian NOT to take up a reactionary stance against these statist usurpations. After all, right-wingers contend that not all changes to civil society are desirable and that not all novelty serves the good. There might even be a modicum of wisdom from past generations that should be retained and imparted to future generations.

The Left, on the other hand, is defined by a devotion to egalitarianism, fighting for what they define as “oppressed” groups, and working for what they see as social and economic justice. They typically promote radical social change and keeping the ancien regime in a state of upheaval, believing that “inclusion” and tolerance are more appropriate for a progressive polity than reactionary morality and societal mores.

It is a leftist view that human beings are not born with intrinsic natural or God-given rights; rather, they are granted and assured those rights by the state or the collective. Any differences that might exist between human beings—whether disparities in wealth, innate abilities, health, intelligence, or even biological sex—could be unjustly exploited, so it follows that there might be a much bigger role for the state.

There are a variety of different economic views among left libertarians. Some adhere to anarcho-socialism and mutualism as described by Pierre-Joseph Proudhon. Others on the left practice countereconomics and agorism as promulgated by Samuel Konkin. All left libertarians are against economic and military imperialism; many of them recognize the labor theory of value, along with the rejection of private ownership of natural resources and the means of production, as fundamental economic principles.

In many instances, the line between left libertarians and right libertarians roughly approximates the delineation between “thick” and “thin” libertarianism. Thin libertarians merely believe in the NAP, the inviolability of private property, and the illegitimacy of state violence. Under subsidiarity principles, any government that is allowed to exist has its relatively small, distinct sphere of influence, and it must not intrude upon local communities—and especially not the family. Thick libertarians usually go much further, though. As Lew Rockwell has argued:

Proponents of a “thick” libertarianism suggest that libertarians are bound to defend something more than the nonaggression principle, and that libertarianism involves commitments beyond just this. One such proponent recently said, “I continue to have trouble believing that the libertarian philosophy is concerned only with the proper and improper uses of force.”

Certainly, it is possible for left libertarians and those with “thick” tendencies to avoid the siren song of authoritarian power and live according to the NAP, but it could very well represent a constant internal ideological struggle. After all, who would enforce the far left’s desired ban on privately held land and factories? Who would step in and prevent workers from being exploited? What entity will outlaw discrimination, curtail racism, and punish rogue bakers?

The differences in economics, ethics, and worldview among libertarians are plainly evident. When libertarians approach political and societal questions—and when they define the scope of their own libertarianism—they clearly do so from the left or from the right.
