We are good at killing fellow Americans.

The U.S. killed an alleged Muslim terrorist with a drone attack in September 2011: Anwar al-Awlaki.

What the media did not mention was this: he was educated at U.S. government expense as a college student. Then, after he became listed by the government as a terrorist, he returned to the USA. The FBI arrested him. Then they let him loose.

Your tax dollars at work!

Al-Awlaki became the first American citizen targeted who would become the official first American who was targeted for death by the CIA.

All this came out as a result of an inquiry into the Fort Hood, Texas, massacres by one of Al-Awliki’s email correspondents. He exchanged 19 emails with Maj. Nidal Hasan, who is accused of murdering 13 in the shooting.

Mark Giuliano, the FBI’s assistant director for national security, testified Wednesday that the FBI knew in advance that he was making his way back to the United States, though he didn’t explain how.Al-Awlaki was detained at New York City’s JFK airport because a customs database flagged him based on an outstanding arrest warrant. Giuliano, under intense questioning by [Congressman] Wolf, also admitted Wednesday there were discussions between an FBI agent and the U.S. attorney in Colorado about the U.S.-born cleric’s re-entry and the warrant.

Jesus spoke of the blind leading the blind into a ditch. That was before the Department of Homeland Security multiplied the number of blind people.

Former FBI agents say there are only likely two explanations: The bureau let the cleric into the country to track him for intelligence, or the bureau wanted to work with him as a friendly contact.

If either is true, then the FBI ought to get out of the anti-terrorism business. It does not know what it is doing.

It gets worse…

The best thing we can say of all this is that Larry, Moe, and Curly are still in charge.

America is not becoming a tyranny. It is becoming a long-running comedy sketch for Jon Stewart.

Be seeing you

Obama Says Anyone in Close Association or Giving Aid to Terrorists Can Be Reached Out to and Touched By a Drone. How Large is the Radius of Guilt? Terrifyingly Vague.

Posted by M. C. on February 6, 2013

Don’t expect justice anytime soon.  The odds are better of being struck by a drone lightning.

Let us hypothesize a government company with a cabinet board of directors.  Say a cabinet secretary board member is found supporting a terrorist organization criminal activity.

Would the president of the company who is well aware of the goings on be subject to drone strike assassination criminal penalty?

Would direct reporters to the secretary board member, also aware of the criminal activity, be subject to drone attack retribution?

What about the congress financial backers that enabled the criminal activity?

Then there is the company friendly media advertising arm that willingly obfuscates or ignores the situation.

There was a sixteen year old son of jihadist Islamist cleric Anwar al-Awlaki .  Neither had committed nor was accused of a crime.  The father and son are blown to pieces by a drone along with the usual collateral splat.  In separate attacks, days apart!

What is the radius of guilty association?  Why are ALL of the above mentioned remote control killers and their accessories to murder running around free? Read the rest of this entry »
