Celebrities Protect The Interests Of The Empire: Notes From The Edge Of The Narrative Matrix

Posted by M. C. on January 31, 2023

Even if you believe that all this nuclear brinkmanship is justified and good, you still need to fully acknowledge the reality of the risk and the unfathomable horrors that it would unleash upon our world. And you need to do it with all the respect and solemnity the subject deserves.

If you say you oppose Russia because you’re an anti-imperialist but you don’t oppose the US empire for its role in starting and perpetuating this war, then you’re a liar. You don’t oppose Russia because you’re an anti-imperialist, you oppose Russia because you’re an imperialist.

The only people who say “Putin can end this war at any time by withdrawing” are those who deny the US empire’s aggressions which led to this conflict, which is just a nonsense garbage position based on lies. They don’t actually want peace, they just want victory for the empire. The real unbiased position which supports peace is wanting both Russia and the western empire to begin engaging in diplomacy, de-escalation and detente to end this war. But empire simps will call you treasonously biased if you support anything other than total Russian defeat.

This dopey propaganda-addled notion that the west did nothing wrong and Putin attacked Ukraine solely because he is evil and hates freedom actually prevents peace from happening. If one side only acknowledges the reality of the aggressions of the other side, peace is impossible. If you don’t understand how a war was started and perpetuated, then you can’t understand how peace can be started and perpetuated. The empire deliberately works to prevent the public from obtaining this understanding, because the empire wants war.

It’s not okay for grown adults to act like Putin is just running around invading countries willy nilly because he’s a crazed madman. You’ve got a whole internet of information at your fingertips. Use it.

It’s impossible to overstate how much our society is shaped by the fact that those who are given the most influence and the largest platforms will experience our status quo systems as working very nicely and have a vested interest in preserving those systems which benefit them. The media-owning, culture-manufacturing class of the super-wealthy elevates people to wealth and celebrity who look like they will be good protectors of their class interests. Those people will necessarily speak fondly of the status quo political systems which let them be rich.

These are the people who put on all the shows, movies and music almost everyone consumes, thereby engineering mainstream culture to the benefit of the super wealthy. It shapes the way the people think, speak, act and vote. What they feel entitled to. What they think is possible.

A rich celebrity who makes millions of dollars a year in a fun, easy and egoically gratifying job is not going to be spotlighting all the lives who are being destroyed by the status quo systems which elevated them. They’re not going to favor the revolutionary changes that are needed. They’re not going to be calling for a massive, sweeping overhaul of the systems which are crushing ordinary people to death and creating widespread misery; at most they’re going to be telling you to vote Democrat or Republican and quibbling about minor disagreements on tax rates. But these are the people with the loudest voices in our society — not just the loudest, but many orders of magnitude more amplified and influential than the voices of the ordinary people who are suffering under existing systems. These loudly-amplified rich celebrities shape and direct mainstream culture.

Why Do Western Celebrities Usually Support Collectivism?

Posted by M. C. on October 25, 2022

Thirdly, as mentioned how this can be a strategy to uplift the careers of people through publicity and more fan following, to add more, any form of collectivism is master of making cronies fatter. The established ones try their best to suppress the competitive environment to keep their dominance alive with a kind of monopolistic power. More government is better for them according to their benefit.

Thomas Sowell: “When you want to help people, you tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear.”

It won’t be away from anyone’s knowledge not to observe the way many active celebrities favor collectivist ideology. Most probably the answer to why intellectuals favor socialism or collectivism is answered clearly. Unlike in the twentieth century, actors and athletes are more popular than scholars. Therefore, the new concern should be why these famous personalities in the majority favor one or the other way of collectivism. It’s not that this case holds for everyone but only those who are more actively involved in these topics.

To make confusion clear, this article is not talking about someone leaning to the left or right but simply to someone supporting any form of collectivism that is on both sides of the political spectrum. Obviously, some stars don’t tend to speak on these matters and avoid them to their best, and probably many of them might be individualist because all they do is, “Mind their own business.”

The obsession with collectivism amongst these popular names can be because of the theory’s aesthetic feature, to gain followers and a marketing strategy to attract the masses. In the West, there are so called “liberals” and in India, it depends mainly on which side of political spectrum is in power. But no matter what they show to support, their main aim is to portray themselves as wise and moral in front of the public. This reminds a popular quote by Thomas Sowell: “When you want to help people, you tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear.”

Celebrities are just like intellectuals. Though there are a few differences, a celebrity attracts those who are in their teenage or who have the mental capability of that level whereas Intellectuals attract people in power and students. Both are dangerous in their way as one attracts the masses while the other attracts power and in all this democracy becomes a joke.

Secondly (my friend raised this question to me that we are both trying to find the answer), it is important to understand why and how these people especially from the Left get to the conclusion that whatever they are doing or supporting is moral. In this dogmatic belief, they become intolerant. This applies to all collectivists, and they almost always present their thoughts forcefully.

This question might seem simple, but it isn’t, because even if everyone in their own belief considers themselves doing right and are not all intolerant, the individualists or the scholars advocating it aren’t like those on the other side. This seems to be the nature of the collectivists. This psychology might be of celebrities too who have self-confidence or overconfidence on their morality.

It can also be a case that there is some political strategy involved in a political organization too. Anyone supporting anticapitalistic and progovernment approach with an anger and hate toward rich are actually making them more powerful and richer.

Celebrities Are Such Scumbags Because They’re Invested In The Status Quo

Posted by M. C. on May 19, 2022

Caitlin Johnstone

Horror author Stephen King made the bizarre decision to tweet “I stand with Nina Jankowicz” the other day in support of the freaky shitlib who will be leading the Department of Homeland Security’s Ministry of Truth. Nothing really to say about that beyond what it is.

Have you ever wondered why a famous person whose work you’ve enjoyed has such a myopic perspective on world events? How someone can stir you at your most intimate depths with their words or their music and yet have a blinkered mainstream political worldview that is manufactured by think tanks and spinmeisters?

Celebrities have been particularly odious empire sycophants these last few days, and it’s probably worth taking a moment to reflect on what’s going on when that happens.

Bette Midler has been drawing headlines for her recent let-them-eat-cake remark about baby formula shortages, taking to Twitter to tell Americans, “TRY BREASTFEEEDING! It’s free and available on demand.”

There are of course many reasons why parents might be unable to consistently provide breast milk to their baby, including but not limited to the very health problems and long working hours that the US status quo often creates. More than this, telling individuals what to do in response to a systemic problem created by the wealthy and the powerful serves to divert attention away from criticisms of those people and those systems.

Midler often uses her Twitter account to broadcast her indifference to the struggles of the less fortunate, like in March when she tweeted “I’d happily pay more for gas for her” with a picture of a child holding a Ukrainian flag. Midler has an estimated net worth of a quarter billion dollars.

While we’re on the subject of Ukraine, U2’s Bono and the Edge recently played a concert in Kyiv in support of the world-threatening US proxy war against Russia, because of course they fucking did. Bono, who says he has “grown very fond” of war criminal George W Bush and praised capitalism at the World Economic Forum and teamed up with warmonger Lindsey Graham to promote US empire narratives about Syria in 2016, would of course be seen singing “Stand by Ukraine” in support of US empire narratives in a Kyiv subway in 2022.
