The Whole POINT of the Internet of Things Is So Big Brother Can Spy On You

at a meeting for the CIA’s venture capital firm In-Q-Tel, CIA Director David Petraeus reportedly noted that “smart appliances” connected to the Internet could someday be used by the CIA to track individuals. If your grocery-list-generating refrigerator knows when you’re home, the CIA could, too, by using geo-location data from your wired appliancesaccording to SmartPlanet.

What Is the CIA Hack All About?

Posted by M. C. on March 16, 2017

Alexa demonstrates that CIA and NSA intrusion into the lives of ordinary people is not unique. In the cyber-sphere there are many predators. Amazon has apparently run special sales to get Alexa devices into as many homes as possible, presumably for commercial reasons, to have a machine in one’s home that will eventually replace the cookies on computers that collect information on what people are interested in buying. The company’s president Jeff Bezos also recently completed a deal worth $600 million for Amazon to provide cloud hosting services for the Agency. And there are, of course, two clear conflicts of interest in that deal as Bezos is selling a device that can be hacked by the government while he also owns The Washington Post newspaper, which, at least in theory, is supposed to be keeping an eye on the CIA. Rule by Thieves – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on March 15, 2017

Case in point: in the same week that Wikileaks dropped its bombshell about the CIA’s use of spy tools to subject law-abiding Americans to all manner of government surveillance and hacking—a revelation that caused barely a ripple of concern among the citizenry—the government quietly and with little fanfare continued to wage its devastating, stomach-churning, debilitating war on the American people.

Incredibly, hardly anyone noticed.

It is up to us to make people notice.

Truman Was Right About the CIA

Posted by M. C. on March 13, 2017

But even if Truman’s homespun honesty and common man persona sometime wore thin, he deserves enormous credit for the startling admission that he regretted creating the CIA. Speaking to a biographer in the 1960s, less than 20 years after signing the National Security Act of 1947, Truman expressed a sense of foreboding about what the agency had become, and would become: Read the rest of this entry »

Does the CIA Vault 7 Leak Make America Less Safe? | The Daily Bell

Posted by M. C. on March 10, 2017

http://www.thedailybell.com/news-analysis/does-the-cia-vault-7-leak-make-america-less-safe/

But we just got a glimpse into that mission. The CIA mission seems to be controlling the world economy and choosing who will win elections of foreign governments. Where is the focus on Isis, China, and Iran coming from? The leaked documents specifically mention 10,000 targets from North America, Europe, and South America.

So really the leak will do damage to the CIA’s mission, but the media is pretending the CIA has a different mission. The media is still pretending the CIA first and foremost keeps America safe when in reality it is clearly more interested in exerting influence around the globe.

8,000 Documents Detail CIA Crimes — But US Media Won’t Touch Them

Unless you look hard, you would never know that we are witnessing a historic public disclosure about an intelligence agency’s vast criminality:
Why would it say anything against its paymaster? Woe to those that don’t do as they are told.

Do the sheeple really understand or care that the Samsung TV in their bedroom is really a one way mirror? Or that any room that contains an Internet connected device TV, fridge, range, phone is an open book.

The Left’s great Russian conspiracy theory | Coffee House

Posted by M. C. on March 8, 2017

http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2017/03/lefts-great-russian-conspiracy-theory/

The spectre of Putinite meddling is now blamed for everything that doesn’t go the liberal elite’s way. Ben Bradshaw said it is ‘highly probable’ Russia interfered in the EU referendum. Here, ‘highly probable’ is code for ‘I don’t have a solitary shred of evidence for this but I feel it in my waters’.
Yesterday’s revolations that the CIA can make malware appear as though it came from anywhere it chooses makes Russia’s interference suspect. Interference no worse than the world wide devestation caused by the CIA over the last 60+ years.

Wikileaks Unveils ‘Vault 7’: “The Largest Ever Publication Of Confidential CIA Documents”; Another Snowden Emerges

Posted by M. C. on March 7, 2017

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-03-07/wikileaks-hold-press-conference-vault-7-release-8am-eastern?_sm_byp=iVVDLDSSm3k3Np0k

WikiLeaks has published what it claims is the largest ever release of confidential documents on the CIA. It includes more than 8,000 documents as part of ‘Vault 7’, a series of leaks on the agency, which have allegedly emerged from the CIA’s Center For Cyber Intelligence in Langley

Another profound revelation is that the CIA can engage in “false flag” cyberattacks which portray Russia as the assailant. Discussing the CIA’s Remote Devices Branch’s UMBRAGE group, Wikileaks’ source notes that it “collects and maintains a substantial library of attack techniques ‘stolen’ from malware produced in other states including the Russian Federation.

“With UMBRAGE and related projects the CIA cannot only increase its total number of attack types but also misdirect attribution by leaving behind the “fingerprints” of the groups that the attack techniques were stolen from. UMBRAGE components cover keyloggers, password collection, webcam capture, data destruction, persistence, privilege escalation, stealth, anti-virus (PSP) avoidance and survey techniques.”

As Kim Dotcom summarizes this finding, “CIA uses techniques to make cyber attacks look like they originated from enemy state. It turns DNC/Russia hack allegation by CIA into a JOKE Read the rest of this entry »

Google and Facebook Are Not Really Private and Shouldn’t Do as They Please With Alex Jones and NaturalNews.com | The Daily Bell

Posted by M. C. on February 25, 2017

http://www.thedailybell.com/news-analysis/google-and-facebook-are-not-really-private-and-shouldnt-do-as-they-please-with-alex-jones-and-naturalnews-com/

It shows that one of the founders of Google, Sergey Brin virtually reported to the Pentagon/ CIA while developing the project that would eventually become Google. Interestingly, later in the article, people close to the CIA and Pentagon are quoted as denying a close relationship. So obviously there is a good deal of sensitivity around the topic.

When it comes to Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg was funded indirectly by the CIA via Peter Thiel. Thiel is a cofounder of PayPal with Elon Musk of Tesla fame.
