Posted by M. C. on July 12, 2021

Over the weekend the FBI Tweeted that Americans should observe their own family members for possible “extremism” and report them to the FBI if they find any. Haven’t we seen this movie before in East Germany? Also – Washington is spending millions to create a new database of the “insurrectionists” from January 6th. Is this justice, or political persecution? These stories and more in today’s Liberty Report…

Watch “Pre-Crime: Is The Pentagon Spying On Soldiers?” on YouTube

Posted by M. C. on May 20, 2021

The Pentagon is denying reports in The Intercept from earlier this week that it is contracting with outside firms to monitor the social media postings of US soldiers to weed out “extremism” in the ranks. Is “white nationalism” really a problem in the military, or is this an attempt to purge those not adhering to the emerging cultural Marxism and “woke-ism” that is plaguing the country? Also today: Uniformed US soldiers giving the covid jab at bars? Mayor Lori “Racist” Lightfoot. And Ted Cruz goes “Russiagate” conspiracy theorist…

Expressing ‘Patriotism’ Could Be Sign of Far-Right Extremism, Says British Army

Posted by M. C. on May 31, 2019

Calling yourself a patriot in the UK military puts you on an extremist watch list.

With whom are they supposed to place their allegiance? The EU? The US? Saudi Arabia?

What do you expect from a country where a citizen who defends himself from criminal activity gets jailed?

Soldiers describing themselves as “patriots” or using words such as “Islamofascism” or “traitors” could be a sign they are right-wing extremists, according to a leaked document from the British army.

Originally written in 2017, the leaflet “Extreme Right Wing (XRW) Indicators & Warnings” was sent to senior defence staff to “educate Chains of Command on the indicators and warnings of personnel who may harbour extremist views”.

Amongst the two-dozen thoughts and expressions listed, the leaflet advised recipients to “look out” for soldiers who: “Describe themselves as ‘patriots’”; “Add ‘istan’ to British place names”; “Use the term ‘Islamofascism’”; “Involve colleagues in closed social media groups”; “Refer to Political Correctness as some kind of left wing or Communist plot”; or who “Make inaccurate generalisations about ‘the Left’ or Government”…

“Exhibiting one or two of these in no way suggests someone is an extremist, and the card does not suggest that all patriots are extremists.

“Through the Government’s counter terrorism and counter extremism strategies (PREVENT) the MOD takes a comprehensive approach to tackling all forms of extremism and terrorism.”

The document was produced after the 2017 arrest of four soldiers accused of links with the proscribed National Action group.

Last year, the British army was criticised for its perceived heavy-handed approach after it threatened to investigate a group of young soldiers who posed for a photograph, later published on social media, with right-wing activist and citizen journalist Tommy Robinson.

The army released a statement saying: “Far-right ideology is completely at odds with the values and ethos of the armed forces,” before saying that any military personnel “in breach of the army’s values and standards will face administrative action”…

The Rutherford Institute :: A Badge of Shame: The Government’s War on America’s Military Veterans |

Remember: no one is spared in a police state.

By John W. Whitehead

For soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq, coming home is more lethal than being in combat.” ― Brené Brown, research professor at the University of Houston

Not all heroes wear the uniform of war.

In the United States, however, we take particular pride in recognizing as heroes those who have served in the military.

Yet while we honor our veterans with holidays, parades, discounts at retail stores and restaurants, and endless political rhetoric about their sacrifice and bravery, we do a pitiful job of respecting their freedoms and caring for their needs once out of uniform.

Despite the fact that the U.S. boasts more than 20 million veterans who have served in World War II through the present day, the plight of veterans today is America’s badge of shame, with large numbers of veterans impoverished, unemployed, traumatized mentally and physically, struggling with depression, suicide, and marital stress, homeless, subjected to sub-par treatment at clinics and hospitals, and left to molder while their paperwork piles up within Veterans Administration offices.

Still, the government’s efforts to wage war on veterans, especially those who speak out against government wrongdoing, is downright appalling.

Consider: we raise our young people on a steady diet of militarism and war, sell them on the idea that defending freedom abroad by serving in the military is their patriotic duty, then when they return home, bruised and battle-scarred and committed to defending their freedoms at home, we often treat them like criminals merely for having served in the military.

The government even has a name for its war on America’s veterans: Operation Vigilant Eagle. Read the rest of this entry »
