Facebook. The new Face of the CIA.
http://www.voltairenet.org/article199155.html
A recent Bloomberg report has revealed how a secret unit of Facebook has helped create troll armies for governments around the world including India for digital propaganda to influence elections [1]. Under fire for Facebook Inc.’s role as a platform for political propaganda, co-founder Mark Zuckerberg has punched back, saying his mission is above partisanship…

The article forgot to mention the part about Facebook data mining your life for the NSA/CIA. Good for government, bad for you.

http://www.collective-evolution.com/2017/11/10/ex-facebook-chief-sean-parker-warns-site-was-built-to-exploit-peoples-weaknesses/
Were there sinister intentions behind its creation or did all those, if any, creep in after its success? Was it designed to essentially suck as much of our time away from us as possible? Well, according to former Facebook president, Sean Parker, that’s exactly what it was designed for and continues to do.
Either Parker is a disgruntled ex employee trying to seek revenge on the corporate giant, or he is worried enough about the implications of Facebook as we know it now, and potentially where is headed. I’ll leave it to you to decide after reading some of what he recently announced during an interview with Axios. Read the rest of this entry »

No dossier is complete without photos.
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-11-06/facebook-now-wants-your-nude-photos
To combat ‘revenge porn’, Facebook is now asking users to send in their nudes, to test a new anti-revenge porn technology.
According to the Daily Mail, sending your nudes to Facebook will stop the so-called ‘revenge porn’ phenomenon:
- The trial requires users to send naughty pictures to themselves via Facebook Messenger.
- Ms Grant said: ‘It would be like sending yourself your image in email, but obviously this is a much safer, secure end-to-end way of sending the image without sending it through the ether.’
- Once the image has been sent, Facebook will then ‘hash’ the image – create a digital fingerprint or link.
- Ms Grant explained: ‘They’re not storing the image, they’re storing the link and using artificial intelligence and other photo-matching technologies.
- ‘So if somebody tried to upload that same image, which would have the same digital footprint or hash value, it will be prevented from being uploaded.’
- If the technology works , the photo should never appear on Facebook.

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2017/11/no_author/facebook-tells-congress-that-russian-ads-comprised-only-004-of-newsfeed/
On Tuesday, senior executives from the big three tech giants, Google, Facebook and Twitter, appeared before a Senate Judiciary subcommittee chaired by Republican Lindsay Graham and came up with stunning revelations regarding Russia’s election meddling on social media.
Social media giant Facebook said that Russian ads comprised only .004% of the newsfeed during the election.
Democrats were claiming Russia ads on Facebook helped flipped the election away from Hillary to Trump…all .004% of those ads.
Best of all…half of the .004% of the ads were pro-Hillary Read the rest of this entry »

Remember when Facebook first offered to pay “media partners” to create video content for its news feed? A lot sure has changed since then… and that was only six months ago. In a development that’s elicited anger among journalists and various content providers, the world’s largest social media company appears to be testing a new content-distribution model that would move it away from an organic, free-for-all to a pay-to-play environment. Predictably, news of the tests prompted howls of rage from the media establishment, which depends on Facebook’s referral traffic for survival. Read the rest of this entry »

Facebook, the world’s top social media platform, is reportedly seeking to hire hundreds of employees with US national security clearance licenses.
As Bloomberg reports: “Workers with such [national security] clearances can access information classified by the US government. Facebook plans to use these people – and their ability to receive government information about potential threats – in the company’s attempt to search more proactively for questionable social media campaigns ahead of elections.”
A Facebook spokesman declined to comment, but the report sounds credible, especially given the context of anti-Russia hysteria. Read the rest of this entry »

“It is difficult to talk to people who confuse Austria and Australia.”

The United States shows the world such a ridiculous face that the world laughs at us.
The latest spin on “Russia stole the election” is that Russia used Facebook to influence the election. The NPR women yesterday were breathless about it.
We have been subjected to ten months of propaganda about Trump/Putin election interference and still not a scrap of evidence. It is past time to ask an unasked question: If there were evidence, what is the big deal? All sorts of interest groups try to influence election outcomes including foreign governments. Why is it OK for Israel to influence US elections but not for Russia to do so? Why do you think the armament industry, the energy industry, agribusiness, Wall Street and the banks, pharmaceutical companies, etc., etc., supply the huge sum of money to finance election campaigns if their intent is not to influence the election? Why do editorial boards write editorials endorsing one candidate and damning another if they are not influencing the election? Read the rest of this entry »

Are organizations like Wikileaks really a threat to National Security? Or are they simply a threat to a small group of powerful people who make millions, billions, or even trillions of dollars via government secrecy?
http://www.collective-evolution.com/2017/09/03/document-surfaces-showing-cias-plans-to-infiltrate-academia-change-universitycollege-curriculums/
But times are changing, thanks to efforts by a number of researchers, academics, journalists, whistleblowers and more, and information is rapidly spreading. So much so that internet censorship is on the rise, and platforms like Google and Facebook are now actually censoring information and deciding what is real and fake for the people, instead of letting people decide for themselves. For example, Google had to recently admit that their contractors suppress information, like the info provided by alternative media, not mainstream media. Read the rest of this entry »
