Why Nobody Trusts the FBI… and that’s a good thing | The Daily Bell

More recently the FBI spent three years covering up evidence that they sent snipers to surround Bundy Ranch. They conspired with the Bureau of Land Management to suppress evidence favorable to the Bundy’s.

The FBI also performs warrantless searches of computers using paid informants on The Geek Squad.

When the FBI came out with a report on Hillary Clinton weeks before the 2016 election, Democrats were livid.

But so were Republicans… The report said that even though she had committed a crime by negligently using a personal computer for state business, she would not be charged.

Democrats later cheered the FBI as the Mueller Probe began investigating Trump. Investigations are the same thing as a guilty verdict, right?

And Republicans fumed when it surfaced that two agents exchanged anti-Trump text messages. They even discussed ways to subvert the presidential election and choose the winner!

And now Democrats are back to accusing the FBI of being a partisan tool used by whoever is in power. That’s because an FBI investigation could not prove a 36-year-old sexual assault accusation true.

Clearly, no one feels super confident in the FBI. And of course, we shouldn’t. They’re sketchy as all hell. Read the rest of this entry »

Best Buy’s Geek Squad Techs Search Customer Computers For The FBI, Reports Claim

Judge Cormac Carney said an FBI agent made “false and misleading statements” to obtain a search warrant for the doctor’s house.

My goodness, really? Old news but worth repeating as it will likely quickly disappear again down the memory hole.

The FIB’s tentacles are long. It’s integrity is non-existent.

Best Buy cannot be trusted. Independent, non-scum computer repair businesses are abundant.

Digital rights non-profit Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit last year after it was discovered that the FBI allegedly paid Geek Squad employees to go through their client’s computers while they’re being repaired. Read the rest of this entry »

FBI Used Best Buy’s Geek Squad To Increase Secret Public Surveillance

To sidestep the U.S. Constitution’s prohibition against warrantless invasions of private property, federal prosecutors and FBI officials have argued that Geek Squad employees accidentally find and report, for example, potential child pornography on customers’ computers without any prodding by the government. Assistant United States Attorney M. Anthony Brown last year labeled allegations of a hidden partnership as “wild speculation.” But more than a dozen summaries of FBI memoranda filed inside Orange County’s Ronald Reagan Federal Courthouse this month in USA v.
