The Misanthropic Bankers Behind COP26 and the Green New Deal – by Matthew Ehret – Matt Ehret’s Insights
Posted by M. C. on October 31, 2021
Following the royal decree, the Bank of England and some of the dirtiest banks in the Rothschild-City of London web of finance have promoted “green financial instruments” led by Green Bonds to redirect pension plans and mutual funds towards green projects that no one in their right minds would ever invest in willfully.
https://matthewehret.substack.com/p/the-misanthropic-bankers-behind-cop26
A vast sweeping change towards a “green economy” is now being pushed by forces that may make an educated citizen rather uncomfortable.
Of course, news reports flash daily showcasing the brave young movement of “eco-warriors” led by Sweden’s “forever 15 year old” Greta Thunberg or America’s 17 year old Jamie Margolin who have become a force across Europe and America leading such movements as the Extinction Rebellion, This is Zero Hour, the Sunrise Movement and Children’s eco-crusade. The young face of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez daily sells the idea that the only way for outdated capitalist forces that have plagued the world for decades to be replaced is by imposing a sweeping Green New Deal that priorities de-carbonization as a goal for humanity rather than continuing to allow the mindless forces of the markets to determine our destiny.
When EU President Ursula von der Leyen had stepped into her office, she lost no time attacking China’s Belt and Road Initiative (which is ironically representing a true 21st century New Deal) by saying “some are buying their influence by investing in dependence from ports and roads”… but “we go the European way”. What is the “European way”? Not the development plans of Charles De Gaulle or Konrad Adenauer who envisioned industrial growth and increasing population as positives, but rather a Green New Deal. Von der Leyen then announced that “I want Europe to become the first CO2 neutral continent in the world by 2050! I will put forward a Green New Deal for Europe in my first 100 days in office…”
Attacking the “mindless forces of the market” and vested power structures of capitalism are not bad things to do… but why must we de-carbonize? Re-regulating the too-big-to-fail banks is long overdue, but why do so many assume that a “Green New Deal” won’t just empower those same forces that have run havoc upon the world for the past half century and just cause more death and starvation than has already been suffered under Globalization?
One might only think to even ask such questions by first confronting the uncomfortable fact that behind such young cardboard cut outs as Thunberg, Margolin, Cortez or the Green New Deal are figures whom one would not associate with humanitarianism by any measure.
Green Bonds and Oligarchs
When we begin to pull back the curtain we quickly run into figures like Prince Charles, who recently met with the heads of 18 Commonwealth countries to consolidate climate emergency legislation which was promptly passed in the UK and Canadian Parliaments. At the end of the meeting Charles said that we “have 18 months to save the world from climate change” and called for “increasing the amount of private sector finance flowing towards the supporting sustainable development throughout the commonwealth”.
Matthew Ehret is the Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Patriot Review , and Senior Fellow at the American University in Moscow. He is author of the‘Untold History of Canada’ book series and Clash of the Two Americas. In 2019 he co-founded the Montreal-based Rising Tide Foundation .

EconomicPolicyJournal.com: Greta Thunberg Heaps Abuse on World Economic Forum Participants
Posted by M. C. on February 2, 2021
Right out of the Edward Bernays’ playbook. Use a child, who will take orders and direction, as a prop to call for action on a vague and questionable threat to mankind.
https://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2021/02/greta-thunberg-heaps-abuse-on-world.html
In a video message last week to the World Economic Forum’s Davos Agenda of virtual meetings, Greta Thunberg accused political and business leaders of dragging their feet on tackling the “climate and ecological crisis.”
She read from a teleprompter and one wonders who wrote the script of absurd charges.
This is how her comments started:
My name is Greta Thunberg and I’m not here to make deals. You see, I don’t belong to any financial interest or political party. So I can’t bargain or negotiate. I am only here to once again remind you of the emergency we’re in. The crisis that you and your predecessors have created and inflicted upon us. The crisis that you continue to ignore.
Proposals to reverse global warming are “vague, insufficient, hypothetical targets way into the future”, she said in her vague speech which contained an undertone of a call for global authoritarian action.
Naturally, the globalist (in the worst sense of the word) World Economic Forum, of course, cheered on her call for global action.
WEF reported on her teleprompter reading this way:
- Greta Thunberg has urged world leaders to take immediate steps to address the environmental crisis.
- Activists from around the world share her concern that international and national climate commitments aren’t being translated quickly enough into sustainable action.
- Greenpeace Executive Director says COVID-19 pandemic has shown that only a multilateral approach to tackling climate change will work.
We asked…activists, leaders and economists to respond to her speech. Here’s what they said…Greenpeace’s Executive Director said many people around the world agreed with the teenage activist’s call for immediate action.
The pandemic has “shown us where multilateralism can make a real difference in finding solutions. And these are valuable lessons as we turn to the bigger crisis upon us, the climate crisis”, she said.
“Globally, we need strong rules to counter the climate emergency and to fight inequality. Environmental and social bodies should be able to impose sanctions and fines.
“Corporate accountability and liability need to extend to all corporate impacts on people and the environment around the world. Tax rules, similarly, need to be revamped to put people and planet first.”…
The public policy and economics professor [Kenneth Rogoff] said Thunberg’s ability to rally young people would lead to change but “ultimately, politicians are the ones who need to be held accountable”.
He suggested ”a global compact” between business and governments was needed to translate sustainability pledges into action. Below is the full Thunberg call for globalist authoritarianism measures (5 minutes and 51 seconds):
“Right now more than ever we are desperate for hope. But what is hope?
For me, hope is the feeling that keeps you going, even though all odds may be against you. For me hope comes from action not just words. For me, hope is telling it like it is.”#wef2021 #DavosAgenda pic.twitter.com/Gt9PnRkcGm— Greta Thunberg (@GretaThunberg) January 26, 2021

CNN to feature teen climate activist Greta Thunberg in coronavirus town hall | TheHill
Posted by M. C. on May 15, 2020
Thunberg said earlier this year that she had recovered from what she believed were mild coronavirus symptoms.
Climate expert AND virologist. A treasure.
She probably knows more about COVID than CNN and Anderson Cooper.
CNN to feature teen climate activist Greta Thunberg in coronavirus town hall
CNN announced Wednesday it will feature teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg in its next “Coronavirus: Facts and Fears” town hall program set for Thursday night on the cable channel.
The town hall, hosted by “AC 360” anchor Anderson Cooper and CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, will also include former acting Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Richard Besser and former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Both officials served in the Obama administration.

Doug Casey on What the International Ruling Class Have Planned for You
Posted by M. C. on February 1, 2020
Davos people see the common man as the real problem.
And leading the charge is Davos attendee Greta Thunberg. She’s emblematic of how thoroughly degraded this has become. Greta is a manufactured celebrity. She came out of nowhere last year; massive but completely undeserved media attention made her into one of the planet’s most famous people. It’s not just laughable, but amazing, that a high school sophomore—with no knowledge or experience—has become a world opinion leader.
by Doug Casey
International Man: No matter the problem, the prescription of the Davos crowd is always more welfare, more warfare, more money printing, more taxes, and of course, more centralization of power into global institutions.
What’s your take?
Doug Casey: The people who attend Davos are all welfare statists. They’re not necessarily socialists, insofar as they don’t want to see government nationalize industries. Most understand how totally dysfunctional that is and that they don’t really benefit from it. Strict socialism, defined as State ownership of the means of production, is off the table. They prefer economic fascism, where a powerful State can funnel wealth to the corporations the elite own or control. They’re happy to throw some table scraps to the unwashed masses, of course. Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) is the best way to do that.
Again, they’re not socialists. They’re welfare statists. Completely opportunistic and absolutely unprincipled. Despicable people, actually. Few are entrepreneurial, independent thinkers or free-market oriented. Those types would be disruptive at Davos, and if they’re ever invited, it would be only once.
Other than celebrities, court intellectuals, and publicity-oriented multibillionaires, the attendees are almost all bureaucrats and politicians who thrive on stolen money. But it’s no longer easily visible briefcases full of cash. That’s quaint in today’s world. They steal indirectly, by making sure they benefit from state regulations, state favors, and the inflation of the currency.
Bribes are in the form of tax-deducible donations to charitable foundations and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). That’s not only much safer, but the money is vastly bigger, and the way it’s rigged adds to their prestige. Both making and taking a bribe disguises the miscreants as philanthropists and do-gooders when they use an NGO as a funnel.
But getting back to their economic views, they’re all for “quantitative easing.” Printing money—MMT—directly benefits the stock market. It raises corporate earnings, and much of the newly created cash directly boosts the prices of shares. It’s really sweet, if you’re an insider.
International Man: At this year’s event, climate change appears to be a big focus.
What are your thoughts on this?
Doug Casey: These fools love to talk about global warming, which they attribute to carbon dioxide. Their jets and limos are a small price to pay for the invaluable moral hectoring they give to the billions of hoi polloi.
Davos people see the common man as the real problem. And perversely, the common man believes what he’s told in the media—namely, that he is the problem. Pseudo science has become a new religion. It’s become a moral crusade against carbon, the one element that’s basic to all life; it’s now more hated than uranium, plutonium, or gold. Carbon is being pursued by a lynch mob of angry chimpanzees.
You may have heard her famous deranged rant, but just in case, here it is.
She has absolutely nothing going for her but things like anger, resentment, hatred, and fanaticism. No matter. The Masters of the Universe sit there as she scolds them for their evil in destroying the world and ruining her youth.
The silly little bitch is a frothing-at-the-mouth fanatic and suffers from several really severe psychological aberrations. She is to the world what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is to the United States. She will undoubtedly go into some multi-billion dollar NGO, where she can do a maximum of damage.
People value urgency, sincerity, and passion. Like Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin, Castro, and the like, she’s got plenty. And nobody dares say a word about it, because she’s been granted the moral high ground. This augurs very poorly for the future.
Probably the only intelligent words spoken at Davos this year came from Donald Trump, of all people, when he decried “prophets of doom,” referring to the global warming crowd.
Climate change has been around for about four billion years. And the biggest driver of it, by far, is the sun. Not carbon dioxide, a trace gas. There’s 20 times more argon, in the atmosphere. Without the sun, earth would be a ball frozen at about two degrees above absolute zero. Not counting the effects of cosmic rays, the planet’s changes in orbit and tilt, the solar system’s rotation around the galaxy, and a score of other critical factors. But these people don’t talk about that, because those things are totally and obviously beyond our control. Best to stick with carbon, which is proving helpful in controlling the masses.
International Man: Given the disastrous policies the Davos crowd has in the pipeline, what should the average person do?
Doug Casey: Treat these people with the respect they deserve—which is to say, treat them like drunks discussing the weather at a cocktail party. Davos is just a social gathering for people who have a busybody streak. It would be completely unimportant except for the fact the media says it’s important.
The only thing that surprises me about Davos is that the hustler who runs it hasn’t yet invited the Kardashians.
Editor’s Note: There’s no question the elite are eager to promote policies like negative interest rates, the abolition of cash, and mass migration. These trends are in motion, and are accelerating at a rapid rate.
It’s all shaping up to be a world-class disaster…

Nolte: Private Aircraft Flew Prince Charles 16,000 Miles Days Before Greta Meeting
Posted by M. C. on January 27, 2020
Nothing we don’t already know. Just liked the comment.
by John Nolte
“Prince Charles took three flights on private jets and a helicopter before meeting the activist Greta Thunberg,” reports the Daily Mail.
Here we go again…
The Daily Mail lays out in graphic detail all the private flights Prince Eco-Hypocrite took in just 11 days, and includes the math, which adds up to 16,000 miles, 162 tons of carbon emissions, four flights with Charles on board, five flights without him on board (flying empty to pick him up and return to base), all at a cost of 280,000 pounds, or roughly $360,000 American dollars.
The Daily Mail adds that in just 11 days, Charles spewed more than 18 times an “average Briton’s yearly total” of carbon emissions.
Worse still, Prince PlanetKiller did all of this irreversible damage to Gaia just before he went to meet the world’s most famous high school dropout, Climate Alarmist Greta Thunberg.
Prince Polluter met the 16-year-old Thunberg at the World Economic Forum in Davos last week for a photo-op.
A big deal was made of the fact Charles drove an electric Jaguar to the forum, as though the carbon burned elsewhere to charge the car somehow doesn’t matter.
Naturally, Prince PlanetRapist is claiming none of this is his fault…

The Sad Tale of Greta the Pawn – by Robert Ringer
Posted by M. C. on January 17, 2020
These adults have clearly saturated her with the notion that the
world is doomed as a result of “climate change,” and that climate
change, in turn, is caused, first and foremost, by fossil fuels.
Obviously, it was ridiculous for Time to name Greta Thunberg its Person of the Year, but I doubt many people take this award any more seriously than they do the Nobel Peace Prize. Regardless, it’s not Greta’s fault that Time chose her for its annual award. It is the fault of her parents, teachers, the media, left-wing politicians, and liberal activists who have stoked her anger and her macabre view of life.
https://robertringer.com/the-sad-tale-of-greta-the-pawn/
As everyone expected, Greta Thunberg, 16-year-old Swedish teenager, was chosen as Time magazine’s Person of the Year. Greta is a young lady who has taken a considerable amount of abuse from climate-change skeptics, which is very sad given that she purportedly suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, a challenging disorder usually caused by an injury to the brain during pregnancy or birth.
Technically speaking, Asperger’s Syndrome falls under the ASD (autism spectrum disorders) umbrella, which includes a wide-ranging number of subsets, such as autism, high-functioning autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, non-verbal learning disability (NVLD), and many iterations in between.
I have a pretty good layman’s understanding of autism spectrum disorders, and I can say unequivocally that these conditions almost always make life extremely difficult — often unbearably so — for both victims and their families.
The one characteristic common to all ASD disorders is a lack of social skills. In the musical West Side Story, there’s a song titled “Gee, Officer Krupke” with a verse that goes like this:
Gee, Officer Krupke,
We’re down on our knees,
‘Cause no one wants a fella with
A social disease.
You can’t help but smile when you listen to the words to this humorous ditty, but whenever I hear the above verse, I think of children with autism spectrum disorders, because ASD really is like having a “social disease.” It’s a very difficult problem for an afflicted child, because it subjects him to teasing and bullying by both classmates and teachers, which in turn makes caring for a child on the ASD spectrum a frustrating, fulltime job for parents.
Knowing the pain ASD children endure and the difficulty they have interacting with others, watching Greta Thunberg’s angry speech at the United Nations was all too familiar to me. At a minimum, her anger seemed completely out of proportion to the occasion (“How dare you?”), and her words demonstrated an extremely depressing outlook on life.
It is certainly understandable why children afflicted with a condition on the autism spectrum are angry, given the amount of rejection and frustration they experience, and in that regard I feel a great deal of compassion for Greta. Nevertheless, it’s obvious that her anger and depressing outlook have been made much worse by negative thoughts put into her mind by the influential adults in her life.
These adults have clearly saturated her with the notion that the world is doomed as a result of “climate change,” and that climate change, in turn, is caused, first and foremost, by fossil fuels. Since the minds of ASD victims function in a very primitive, concrete manner, feeding them such negative thoughts only worsens their anger issues.
Unfortunately, President Trump chose to chime in on Greta Thunberg’s newfound fame, which has brought an angry backlash from many quarters. Like so many of his questionable tweets, there’s no doubt he would have been better off to have avoided commenting about Greta, but I think it’s a stretch to believe he was attacking her disability, because I doubt he even knows much about Asperger’s Syndrome.
Regardless, those who are upset about Trump’s comments regarding Greta Thunberg fail to take into account that she is not speaking as a disabled child, but as a political activist, which casts her in a whole different light. Of course, the reason she’s a political activist is because not only are her parents and teachers pushing her in that direction, she is also being used as a pawn by the leftwing media and Radical Leftists.
It’s similar to the radical Islamic strategy of using women and children as human shields when attacking their enemies. It’s a cowardly, age-old tactic employed by radicals of all stripes and, unfortunately, a significant percentage of the population can always be counted on to fall for it.
It’s very painful for a parent to come to grips with the reality that their child’s condition can never be cured or made less painful by medication or a medical procedure. However, with nurturing, teaching, patience, and a positive, low-stress environment, children afflicted with ASD disorders have a much better chance of adapting to the rigors of life and achieving a reasonable degree of happiness.
Unfortunately, that is not likely to happen in Greta Thunberg’s case, because she appears to be trapped in a depressing, low-information environment. It’s hard enough to try to educate low-information liberals who do not have disabilities, so the prospects for replacing the poison in young Greta’s mind with actual facts and a positive outlook on life are slim.
It’s a sad irony that because her thoughts are being guided by the Radical Left adults in her life, it is highly unlikely that this anguished teenager will ever be in a position to learn the facts about the climate-change hoax, the very subject she is so angry about. What the adults in Greta Thunberg’s life have done to her is nothing less than emotional child abuse, and the thought that she is unlikely to be exposed to information that could help her become a less stressed, happier person is a human tragedy.

Our Real Existential Crisis – LewRockwell
Posted by M. C. on January 4, 2020
Self Destruction: A dream come true for invaders of the West.
Greta Thunberg won’t have to worry about climate change destroying Sweden. Birth rates and foreign invaders have Sweden well on it’s way.
https://www.lewrockwell.com/2020/01/patrick-j-buchanan/our-real-existential-crisis-extinction/
If Western elites were asked to name the greatest crisis facing mankind, climate change would win in a walk.
Thus did Time magazine pass over every world leader to name a Swedish teenage climate activist, Greta Thunberg, its person of the year.
On New Year’s Day, the headline over yet another story in The Washington Post admonished us anew: “A Lost Decade for Climate Action: We Can’t Afford A Repeat, Scientists Warn.”
“By the final year of the decade,” said the Post, “the planet had surpassed its 2010 temperature record five times.
“Hurricanes devastated New Jersey and Puerto Rico, and floods damaged the Midwest and Bangladesh. Southern Africa was gripped by a deadly drought. Australia and the Amazon are ablaze.”
On it went, echoing the endless reports on the perils of climate change to the planet we all inhabit.
Yet, from the inaction of the carbon-emitting countries like India, China, Russia and the USA, the gravity with which Western elites view the crisis is not shared by the peoples for whom they profess to speak.
For many First World countries, there are more compelling concerns. High among them is population decline, and, if birth rates do not rise, the near-extinction of many Western peoples by this century’s end.
Consider. The number of births in Japan fell in 2019 to a level unseen since 1874, around 900,000. But there were 1.4 million deaths for a net loss of 512,000 Japanese. An even larger loss in Japan’s population is expected this year…
South Korea has an even lower birth rate, and its population is expected to start diminishing this year.
But it is Eastern Europe where the population crisis is most advanced.
At the end of the Cold War, Bulgaria had 9 million people. By 2017, that had fallen to 7.1 million…
By 2050, Ukraine and Poland are each projected to lose another 6 million people, and Hungary will lose 1.5 million.
Lithuania and Latvia have seen serious population losses since the end of the Cold War and are in the front rank of European nations losing people at the fastest rate.
U.N. demographers project Russia’s population may fall from 145 million today to 121 million by 2050. Such losses rival those that Russia suffered under Lenin, Stalin and World War II…
Since this writer published “The Death of the West,” nothing has happened to alter my conclusion as to where the West was destined:
“The Death of the West is not a prediction of what is going to happen. It is a depiction of what is happening now. First World nations are dying. They face a mortal crisis, not because of something happening in the Third World, but because of what is not happening at home and in the homes of the First World. Western fertility rates have been falling for decades. Outside of Muslim Albania, no European nation is producing enough babies to replace its population. … In a score of countries the old are already dying off faster than the young are being born. … There is no sign of a turnaround. Now the absolute numbers of Europeans have begun to fall.”
We are talking here about what historians, a century hence, will call the Lost Tribes of Europe. And if a people has ceased to replace itself, and the national family is dying out, it is difficult to generate alarm over the slow sinking of the Maldives into the sea, the melting of the polar ice caps, or the fact that Greenland is getting greener every year.

2019: the year of peak green bullsh*t – spiked
Posted by M. C. on December 31, 2019
https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/12/30/2019-the-year-of-peak-green-bullsht/
Greta, Prince Harry and Extinction Rebellion took the eco-cult to new heights of madness.
Ben Pile
2019 was the most extraordinary year of green bullshit yet. Despite the planet being a wealthier, healthier and safer place than it was when fears of global warming first appeared on the political agenda in the 1980s – and despite the failure of more than half a century of green prognostications – crazy and destructive green ideas still dominate politics.
Royal hypocrisy
In 2019, green doublespeak went mainstream. Harry and Meghan had intended to ‘eco-signal’ by warning us about climate change. At the same time, they were hopping on private jets to stay in luxury villas…
Greta and the school strikes
… There could be no doubting the sincerity of the teen who bore the emotional scars inflicted on her by the movement that she was to lead – she had been so traumatised by green propaganda that she had not spoken, not eaten and had refused to go to school. Environmentalism is nothing if not a cult of self-harm.
Extinction Rebellion
…leading in one famous case in Canning Town to people taking matters – and the protesters – into their own hands. Agitated commuters dragged protesters off the roof of the train they were holding up. Despite favourable media coverage, XR was emphatically rejected by the public…
