Crap! Obama Won, Yea! Romney Lost – Our Options Are Limited

Posted by M. C. on November 7, 2012

This begins with Jim Thompson’s editorial in the Oct 31 Erie Times. He is taking Rep Mike Kelly to task.

Kelly has done nothing to cancel Bush’s tax cuts for the wealthy, a massive redistribution of wealth to the top 10%.

Obama has stated he is in favor of wealth redistribution. The difference appears to be to whom the money gets redistributed. No mention that every analysis I have seen says the top 20% pays 80% of the tax. No mention the 53% of earners pay all the income tax.

Kelly is against an increase in the minimum wage.

Yeah, like we need another hole in the head. Minimum wage increases don’t encourage the small businessperson to go looking for new hires.

Columnist Walter Williams, for example, makes the case that increases in the minimum wage hurt young black people. The poorly educated are now too expensive to hire. Their leg up is now cut off.

Thompson says we need more regulation because of failing government roads, failing government bridges, failing government schools and lack of government enforcement of government consumer laws. I think the focus is misplaced.

Wall Street bankers, supported by Kelly, have ripped us off.

No argument there. What is the enabler? The FED. The FED was created by 1913’s axis of evil-jay P. Morgan, John D. Rockefeller and Woodrow Wilson. The original and primary purpose of the FED is to bail out banks when they screw up. The FED now prints money and encourages low interest loans to people and organizations that shouldn’t have it. Big banks can play their games and take their risks with our money with no worries. The result is massive bank failures and a collapsing housing bubble.

The FED is a progressive concept.

Kelly’s votes contradict his claims.

That is an eye opener! He is a politician. My first thought is promises to close the Guantanamo concentration camp.

Kelly is holding us hostage with his hard line on tax cuts.

That won’t matter much because spending will not go down under any administration. Borrowing or taxing, it doesn’t matter, we are still going down. I laugh where Thompson says national defense spending will be cut. It should be cut as we spend more on defense than almost the entire developed world put together. The defense cuts we discussed are reductions in proposed increases.

Finally, it is ludicrous that Kelly has been placed on the foreign affairs committee.

I say the foreign affairs committee is ludicrous. Within a few weeks we went from “There is no problem” in Egypt to “We are behind Ehud Barack all the way” to “Ehud, you are toast”. All the color revolutions we back have put “Islamists” in power. Our government doesn’t have a clue. We have traded our SOB for their SOB. We are backing and supplying Al Qaeda rebels in Syria because our master in Israel Netanyahu doesn’t like Syria. We are going to go to war with Iran who doesn’t have the bomb and doesn’t want the bomb according to the ayatollah. Iran is a signatory to the Nuclear Non Proliferation treaty. If they did use the bomb, Israel (more likely their servant the US) would turn Iran into a sheet of glass. The same Israel who has 200-300 nuclear warheads, doesn’t acknowledge the world’s worst kept secret that they are a nuke power and has not signed the NNP Treaty.

Too bad we have a national press that has reduced itself to a sniveling lap dog waiting for its handout. Otherwise things like this would not have to be pointed out.

Today the Erie Times announces its endorsement of Obama. Why you may ask.

His economic policies have us on the right track.

Really? A $5T increase in the debt over 4 years is progress? It is if you are a progressive whose goal is to bankrupt the economy to force us into a UN run new world order. See Cloward-Piven.

Our foreign policy has improved under Obama.

Tell that to all the Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and the several African countries who hate us guts because of drone strikes that spread fear and loathing while killing more innocents than terrorists. Romney at least leaves us with no questions. He will go to war with Iran.

Obama’s centrists views.

Say what? He is centrist when it serves. Just Like Romney, Obama is expert at flip-flopping (lying) his stand on any given issue. If one “considers lack of candor” the same as lying then both are of equal caliber. I don’t take anything either says at face value. WE SHOULD FEEL INSULTED THAT THE ERIE TIMES WOULD PRESENT THE ARGUMENT THAT “MOVING TO THE CENTER” IS ANYTHING BUT LYING TO GET VOTES FROM A PARTICULAR DEMOGRAPHIC.

The only thing Romney has had a clue about is the handling of domestic auto makers. Contrary to what our glorious press would tell you, letting GM and Chrysler go bankrupt does not mean they would disappear. A chapter 11 bankruptcy would theoretically put these companies in the charge of someone who actually knew what they were doing, cut the company dead wood and get them operating efficiently. Instead we have a president that buys a failing company, tells US he won’t tell them how to operate, then proceeds to tell them to push electric and hybrid cars. Obama spends $Ms on a domestic battery supplier for the administration’s poster car the Volt. It goes bankrupt because the hyper expensive Volt sales are so poor it has had to shut the production line down twice. Chevy buys what few Volt batteries it needs from Korea. So much for central planning comrade.

I hope you weren’t looking for debate, in the paper or elsewhere, on issues of real import.

Abortion

Really ending war in the ‘Stans and Africa

Ending the FED

Auditing the FED

Auditing our gold reserves

Ending the drug war

Ending executive orders

Ending the travesty that is the DHS

That actual unfunded liabilities are in the $100Ts

The point?

The high and mighty are too afraid, too dumb or have too much to lose to address anything of real substance. The presstitutes are part of the problem. The election results will mean nothing. Just more of the same only worse.  The real problems are so bad no one will acknowledge them let alone address them.

So what do we do to fix the mess?

The mess can’t be fixed.

Washington is incapable of fixing anything. It is too corrupt.

We face massive inflation or default as the only way out. Paying debt with printed, devalued money or default encompassing foreign debt, social security, medicare, everything. I do not see a long term solution with the present system.

Our options.

A totally new Libertarian based government (not likely) or Bail Out, as in expatriation.

The government is making leaving difficult.

Proposed new requirements passport regs are meant to mine information and provide reasons for disapproval. Why do you want to travel comrade? Currency control has already begun with transactions over $10K having to be reported. How long before we can’t transfer any assets outside the country? How can the government spend and tax if the money is in another country. Foreign and military aid to Europe has them bending over when we ask for bank account records. The emphasis on strictly digital transactions is intended to make it easy to track where we go and what we do. Freedom is getting harder to find, let alone get to.

Places like The Dollar Vigilante and The Sovereign Man offer advice on obtaining passports and transferring wealth. What is your pleasure-Guatemala, Mexico the Caribbean, Viet Nam?

If you can’t or won’t leave get prepped. Stock up on necessities and items for barter, get off the grid, learn defense. Cash will be king. When TSHTF you will need all of these and more.

The United States of Thomas Jefferson is dead, only no one has told it yet.

Be seeing you.
