Poison Gas, John McCain, Sydney Schanberg and Lying Media
Posted by Martin C. Fox on July 15, 2016
Main stream media has me more irritated than usual lately. Especially when I hear about gas attacks.
One of the reasons we invaded Iraq was because Hussein was or was about to use poison gas. The only Iraqi gas attack was during the Iran-Iraq war. Guess who supplied the gas? Guess who provided logistical support for those attacks. Reagan’s US and UK. See here, here and here.
Then there are the gas attacks in Syria. Thanks to Seymour Hersch and others it is common knowledge to all except network news viewers that Turkey’s Erdogan facilitated false flag gas attacks to draw the US further into the quagmire. See here, here and here.
The press spews only what the warparty neocons tell them.
Now the walking gas attack John McCain.
The recent death of Sydney Schanberg has Ron Unz, formerly of The American Conservative and now the The Unz Review, walking down memory lane. Unz was apparently tight with Schanberg whose work was the basis for the film The Killing Fields. Unz republished a 2008 American Conservative article about John McCain and his covering up the hundreds of POWs left in Southeast Asia after Vietnam. See here, here and here.
McCain’s sad story begins with his capitulating with his North Vietnamese captors. His scripted confession tapes were constantly played over loud speakers in the prison camp in order to wear down other captives. Never having had to experience a prison camp…yet (FEMA) I can’t blame McCain for anything in that regard. The recordings are in government hands and classified. The real McCain POW story starts later.
McCain was on the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA affairs. Official POW documents, satellite images of pilot help symbols and electronic messages with pilot code numbers were all suppressed with the help of McCain. Why, you ask.
Amongst this data was a transcript of a NV general telling his Soviet friends about the peace deal with the US. NV demanded reparations. For leverage NV released only 591 of roughly 1200 POWs they held. The same trick pulled on the French in the fifties. Congress, not aware of the POW aspect, never approved the money and after a while it was decided on both sides that any mention of the prisoners was too embarrassing. Hundreds of Americans were left to rot in labor camps.
McCain has also suppressed the “Pave Spike” report. Pave Spike involved sensors dropped from aircraft designed to stick in the ground and record movement data and manually entered data such as pilot/soldier ID codes.
Defense Secretaries James Schlesinger and Melvin Laird admitted in public testimony they thought, based on data they had seen, that prisoners were left behind, with no great media fanfare.
Schanberg’s story goes on to elaborate on many and varied attempts to get the truth out to POW families with McCain fighting these attempts all the way.
The American Conservative story broke during McCain’s 2008 presidential bid. It is more damning than my feeble attempt to summarize indicates. The McCain POW story was and continues to be ignored by the lamestream media.
“Their biggest accomplice is an indolent press, particularly in Washington”.
To mark Sydney Schanberg’s death Ron Unz is taking another stab at getting the McCain Story out. Wish him luck. He will need it.
The McCain respect for the truth is genetic.
This describes McCain’s part in the killing of 134 of his buddies on the Forrestal.
Admiral Daddy got him quickly transferred.
As WMR previously reported, at the time of the Forrestal disaster, McCain’s father, Admiral John McCain, Jr., was Commander-in-Chief of US Naval Forces Europe (CINCUSNAVEUR) and was busy covering up the details of the deadly and pre-meditated June 8, 1967, Israeli attack on the NSA spy ship, the USS Liberty.
The Liberty is another story left wanting. Friend Israel is whole ‘nother story.
It is no wonder McCain has a temper. The boy has baggage.
Be seeing you
