Columns > Pastors And Physicians: From Protectors To Predators

Posted by M. C. on June 26, 2020

In fact, physicians and hospitals are being paid by our federal
government to NOT treat people. And that same federal government is
bribing hospitals and doctors to make an all-out effort to “find” corona
cases. They are paid to issue corona tests (which are largely
inaccurate); they are paid to identify corona cases, whether they exist
or not; they are paid to isolate people as a preventative against
corona; they are paid to put people on respirators; ad infinitum; ad
nauseam. And we are not talking chicken feed here; we are talking
hundreds of millions and even billions of dollars. By the same token, 501(c)(3) government churches are being paid by that same federal government to NOT conduct services.

https://chuckbaldwinlive.com/Articles/tabid/109/ID/4028/Pastors-And-Physicians-From-Protectors-To-Predators.aspx

Historically, society has deemed pastors and physicians two of its most sacred callings. Pastors watched over our souls, while physicians watched over our bodies. The duties of each office were both respected and protected in our nation’s most important documents and doctrines. But in about four months, our federal government has turned both professions from that of protector to that of predator.

The so-called coronavirus pandemic has totally changed the spiritual, emotional, psychological, philosophical and medical soul of America. The entire country has turned against itself. No one trusts anyone. Everyone they meet, whether in a grocery store, drug store, restaurant, gas station, department store or even church, is viewed as a threat. Masks, social distancing and home isolation are all considered the “new normal.”

Tens of thousands of pastors are yet today forbidding their congregants from assembling together for worship. And tens of thousands of physicians are still largely out of reach from their patients.

Many physicians have been on vacation for months. Hospitals are still refusing to see patients. Surgeries have been postponed. Cancer victims are not being treated. People with heart disease are not being treated. Gallbladder disease is not being treated. Meanwhile, our hospitals are as EMPTY as our churches.

In fact, physicians and hospitals are being paid by our federal government to NOT treat people. And that same federal government is bribing hospitals and doctors to make an all-out effort to “find” corona cases. They are paid to issue corona tests (which are largely inaccurate); they are paid to identify corona cases, whether they exist or not; they are paid to isolate people as a preventative against corona; they are paid to put people on respirators; ad infinitum; ad nauseam. And we are not talking chicken feed here; we are talking hundreds of millions and even billions of dollars. By the same token, 501(c)(3) government churches are being paid by that same federal government to NOT conduct services.

Almost overnight, two of the most respected callings in the country, pastor and physician, have become nothing more than sniveling servants of the state.

The horror stories that are taking place in nursing homes, retirement facilities and hospitals across America rival the horror stories that came out of Nazi Germany. All over America, tens of thousands of seniors are dying totally ALONE. They endure life-and-death surgeries alone; they are enslaved in their medical wards alone. Their families are forbidden to see them as they suffer and die. Families have no idea of the kind of care (or lack thereof) that their loved ones are receiving.

Think of the despair and suffering these elderly people are experiencing as they are forcefully separated from their loved ones—at the time when they need them most. Think of those with diminished mental acuity who don’t understand why their husbands and wives or their children and grandchildren are not coming to see them.

What is happening to America’s seniors today is CRIMINAL. Families should be suing these heartless, money-grubbing, conscienceless “caregivers” out the ying-yang. Ah, but, the U.S. Congress is in the process of protecting physicians and hospitals who deny medical treatment from being sued, don’t you know.

The act is called the Coronavirus Provider Protection Act (H.R. 7059). In a nutshell, it gives physicians and hospitals (and other caregivers) carte blanche insulation from any attempt by the victims of all of this medical negligence to seek justice.

The federal government is using the coronavirus to turn physicians into predators. All of these stupid socialists who are clamoring for government healthcare are quickly going to find out what America’s veterans have known for a long time: Government healthcare is a monstrous FAILURE that shatters the doctor-patient relationship and turns patients into human guinea pigs and physicians into nameless bureaucrats.

Furthermore, the corona scamdemic is already in the process of creating an Orwellian, Stalinesque Police State in this country.

Dru Kristenev observes:

The overblown response to the WuFlu coronavirus has ushered in another chapter of data collection and regulation that is being used to restrict the rights of citizens, and it’s infected even the most conservative states.

Weaponizing emergency, urgent care and hospital policy was a major step. Entrance into these facilities requires mandatory temperature reading, donning a facemask (proven to be useless against the spread of the disease) before an employee will tend to the visitor.

Recent events have shown that the CDC has pressured doctors and nurses to view every potential patient as a Covid-19 carrier, disregarding the individual’s complaint as superfluous. Personnel are armed with a sketchy list of possible WuFlu symptoms that could describe seasonal allergies to heartburn, and the first thing done by healthcare workers is insist that the patient be tested, which they are still free to refuse. Refusal, however, is close to becoming a black listing. Don’t be surprised when rejecting a test will brand the individual as a danger to society. Dictatorial states like Washington have already implemented contact tracing, where “trained interviewers” knock on doors and take names.

The objective behind pressuring individuals to be tested is to boost case numbers in order to validate the overreaching regulations being implemented by government agencies. Should the individual refuse to be tested? That’s hardly an obstacle. Medical professionals are being directed to report “probable” infections based on the catchall list of symptoms.

It’s become imperative for individuals to arm themselves with the real facts about Covid-19: that the mortality rate is .1% of cases diagnosed; that testing positive is not indicative of resultant illness nor does it require vaccination; that the virus is not that easily spread and that the vast number of false positives and reports of probable cases is far beyond the actual numbers. Dr. Deborah Birx said publicly that the numbers are inflated by approximately 25%.

What is true is that the pandemic is an epidemic of government repression focusing on tracking individuals in their activities (if they tend toward freedom of conservative speech and religious expression) and confine them to living separate, censored lives. This is the only way the progressive agenda can press ahead. Inexcusably, too many republican officials and administrators accept the propaganda, ignoring their constitutional duty and becoming accessories to creeping tyranny.

Recommendation? Refuse testing for the virus. The vast number of false positive results make it of no use. Refuse vaccination when it is finally offered for being ineffective. Vaccines have proven to infect individuals more often than protect them against viruses. Do not relent from speaking out against ineffective, vain regulations being forced upon individuals under the guise of seeking a cure.

The only cure available to a free society is to adamantly maintain our mobility and freedom to conduct business without social limits, gather with friends in public and worship without constraints.

This nation was designed to protect and defend commerce, unrestricted speech and religious pursuits, never to suppress liberty.

And as I said at the very beginning of this nonsense, none of it could happen without the sheepish submission of America’s pastors.

The pastor is rightly characterized as being a shepherd. His duty is to both feed the flock and protect it from wolves. Any pastor who cannot see that these government lockdowns, forced isolations, forced business closings and forced church closings are the work of demonic forces is no shepherd. His sheep should certainly move on to safer pastures.

By surrendering their flocks to the worst kind of Nanny State, pastors have abandoned their role as shepherds and are leading their sheep to the slaughter from the most savage of beasts.

P.S. This is the last call for people to vote for a pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-Natural Law, pro-Liberty, pro-Second Amendment, anti-government lockdown, anti-forced vaccination and anti-Scofield futurism pastor (Yours Truly) in the current online poll. There are only a few days left to vote. I really need your help. PLEASE VOTE.

Please read my appeal on Facebook, which includes a link to vote.

And while you are voting, I urge readers to also vote for Dr. Annie Bukacek as Best Physician in the online poll. In the middle of the worst lockdowns and shutdowns, Dr. Annie courageously stood in the pulpit at Liberty Fellowship and told the nation the truth about how the CDC was encouraging physicians to inflate and exaggerate corona deaths on death certificates.

You cannot believe the fury that was unleashed against this 30-year primary care physician for her courage. I mean it was VICIOUS. And she never flinched. Dr. Bukacek was voted “Best Family Physician” last year, and she should definitely be given that award again this year.

Please vote for Dr. Annie Bukacek here.

This is also the final call for THE FREEDOM DOCUMENTS. This is the giant compilation of America’s greatest historical documents in one volume. It is available nowhere else. We print each June; and this is the last call. If you want a copy of this magnificent collection of America’s great documents, ORDER NOW.

And also remember that we are NOW shipping the Matthew Henry Study Bible. This is the one study Bible that I can recommend, as it is the one study Bible that does NOT promote Christian Zionism.

Written between 1708 – 1710, the Matthew Henry Bible commentaries are yet today the gold standard of Bible commentaries. And I am excited to now be able to offer the Matthew Henry Study Bible to my readers.

Your iPhone has a hidden map of EVERYWHERE you go – how to find it

Posted by M. C. on June 26, 2020

https://www.the-sun.com/lifestyle/tech/1035842/iphone-map-location-tracking-significant-settings/

YOUR iPhone keeps track of your real-world movements – which you can view on a map.

The little-known feature is buried deep within your iPhone settings, and shows your exact movements over the past few months.

Your iPhone keeps a log of your real-world movements, but you can clear it whenever you like

What is iPhone Significant Locations?

Your iPhone has a feature called Location Services, which uses your location to improve various features on the device.

This includes Significant Locations, a rolling log of your real-world movements, which are then used to offer other services.

For instance, if your iPhone knows about your daily commute, it can provide tailored timing information about your journey.

“Allow your iPhone to learn places significant to you in order to provide useful location-related information in Maps, Calendar, Photos and more,” Apple explains.

It stores your movements around the world through the Location Services feature

Is iPhone Significant Locations safe?

You might be panicking that Apple is keeping a log of your every move, but that’s not quite the case.

“Significant Locations are encrypted and cannot be read by Apple,” according to Apple.

That means that the location info is stored on your iPhone, and is encrypted and dissociated from you if it needs to leave the device.

No outsiders can see your Significant Locations, and they’re not accessible through iCloud either.

And even if a pal is using your iPhone, they can’t get into Significant Locations without getting past a Face ID or Touch ID lock first.

However, if you’re really worried that a spouse might sneak their way onto your iPhone and catch you at the pub when you were supposed to be at work, it might be worth deactivating the system – or clearing your history at the very least. We’ll explain how to do that below.

To find Significant Locations, you need to go into Privacy then find Location Services

It’s also worth mentioning that Significant Locations is opt-in, although you probably never knew that.

It turns on when you activate Location Services during iPhone set-up, but it’s buried beneath several layers of Settings, so most people have no idea it exists.

The location data tracks back around a year.

Significant Locations can be turned off at any time

How to find your iPhone Location Map

First, launch the Settings app on your iPhone, then tap on the Privacy section.

Then click on Location Services and scroll to the very bottom of the page, where you’ll need to tap on System Services.

Go to the Significant Locations tab, at which point you’ll be asked to log in with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.

You should see a long list of cities, which you can tap into to find various locations you’ve previously been at.

All of these locations are time-stamped, and are included on a map at the top of the screen.

It may even highlights your ‘Home’ and ‘Work’, which should be your most-visited destinations.

How to delete iPhone Significant Locations

There are a few ways to clean up your Significant Locations on the iPhone.

The first is to simply toggle Significant Locations off when you’re in the correct menu.

You can also hit the Clear History button inside Significant Locations, which deletes your locations collected so far.

Alternatively, you can toggle Location Services off entirely, although this means you’ll lose out on some really useful mapping features.

We’ve asked Apple how frequently the tracker updates with your location, and how it works out where your home and work addresses are.

Elite television news rescued by COVID « Jon Rappoport’s Blog

Posted by M. C. on June 26, 2020

https://blog.nomorefakenews.com/2020/06/25/elite-television-news-rescued-by-covid/

by Jon Rappoport

Yet another consequence of the fake pandemic is the propping up of that doddering old fool, elite television news.

The COVID story doesn’t need Walter Cronkite. It only needs wall to wall. From 5AM to midnight, pandemic updates (mixed now with riot coverage), and the network ratings get well. The ratings jump out of the dumpster and rumble on the studio set and do cartwheels.

I’ve written a number of articles about network television news. Here are excerpts—

NEWS ABOUT THE NEWS.

The elite anchor is not a person filled with passion or curiosity. Therefore, the audience doesn’t have to be passionate or filled with curiosity, either.

The anchor is not a demanding voice on the air; therefore, the audience doesn’t have to be demanding.

The anchor isn’t hell-bent on uncovering the truth. For this he substitutes a false dignity. Therefore, the audience can surrender its need to wrestle with the truth and replace that with a false dignity of its own.

The anchor takes propriety to an extreme: it’s unmannerly to look below the surface of things. Therefore, the audience adopts those manners.

On air, the anchor is neutral, a castratus, a eunuch.

This is a time-honored ancient tradition. The eunuch, by his diminished condition, has the trust of the ruler. He guards the emperor’s inner sanctum. He acts as a buffer between his master and the people. He applies the royal seal to official documents.

Essentially, the television anchor is saying, “See, I’m ascetic in the service of truth. Why would I hamstring myself this way unless my mission is sincere objectivity?”

All expressed shades of emotion occur and are managed within that persona of the dependable court eunuch. The anchor who can move the closest to the line of being human without actually arriving there is the champion. In recent times, it was Brian Williams—until his “conflations” and “misremembrances” surfaced, and he was exiled to the wasteland of MSNBC.

The vibrating string between eunuch and human is the frequency that makes an anchor “great.” Think Cronkite, Chet Huntley, Edward R Murrow. Huntley was just a touch too masculine, so they teamed him up with David Brinkley, a medium-boiled egg. Brinkley supplied twinkles of comic relief.

The cable news networks don’t have anyone who qualifies as an elite anchor. Wolf Blitzer of CNN made his bones during the first Iraq war only because his name fit the bombing action so well. Brit Hume of FOX has more anchor authority than anyone now working in network television, but he’s semi-retired, content to play the role of contributor, because he knows the news is a scam on wheels.

There are other reasons for “voice-neutrality” of the anchor. Neutrality conveys a sense of science. “We did the experiment in the lab and this is how it turned out.”

Neutrality implies: we, the news division, don’t have to make money (a lie); we’re not like the cop shows; we’re on a higher plane; we’re performing a public service; we’re a responsible charity.

From the early days of television, there has been a parade of anchors/actors with know-how—intonation, edge of authority, parental feel, the ability to execute seamless blends from one piece of deception to the next:

John Daly, Douglas Edwards, Ed Murrow, Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, Harry Reasoner, Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, and more recently, second-stringers—Brian Williams, Diane Sawyer, Scott Pelley.

They’re all gone.

Now we have Lester Holt, David Muir, and the newly appointed Norah O’Donnell. They couldn’t sell water in the desert.

Lester Holt is a cadaverous presence on-air, whose major journalistic achievement thus far is interrupting Donald Trump 41 times during a presidential debate; David Muir has the gravitas of a Sears underwear model; Norah O’Donnell, long-term, will have the energy needed to illuminate a miniature Xmas-tree light bulb.

The networks have no authoritative anchor-fathers waiting in the wings. They don’t breed them and bring them up through the minor leagues anymore.

Instead, armies of little Globalists, and ideologues who don’t realize they’re working for Globalists, have been infiltrating the news business. At best, they’re incompetent.

Thus, news-production techniques that enable an ongoing illusion of oceanic authority collapse like magnetic fields that have been suddenly switched off.

The selective mood lighting, the restful blue colors on the set, the inter-cutting of graphics and B-roll footage, the flawless shifts to reporters in far-flung places…it’s as if all these supporting features have suddenly been overcome by actors in a stage play who are abruptly stepping out of character. The spell is broken.

Elite mainstream news, in a fatuous attempt to save itself, is trying a democratic approach. Anchors are sharing more on-air minutes with gaggles of other reporters. But this is counter-productive in the extreme. The News has always meant one face and one authority and one voice and one tying-together of all broadcast elements. It’s as if, in a hypnotherapist’s office, the therapist decides to bring in colleagues to help render the patient into an alpha-state. Read the rest of this entry »

Rationing Life: A Major Objective of the Coronavirus Scam – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on June 26, 2020

Beware the language used to appease the worries of those in the herd, as
it hides the real truth and the agendas sought by the elites and their
pawns in the political class in favor of something that sounds more
palatable to the general public. One such example is that of only
allocating scarce resources to those most likely to survive as a
necessity. Obviously, the young are more likely to survive, so according
to current medical establishment protocols, there are no resources
available for the old and truly sick.

“The moment we face it frankly we are driven to the conclusion that the community has a right to put a price on the right to live in it … If people are fit to live, let them live under decent human conditions. If they are not fit to live, kill them in a decent human way. Is it any wonder that some of us are driven to prescribe the lethal chamber as the solution for the hard cases which are at present made the excuse for dragging all the other cases down to their level, and the only solution that will create a sense of full social responsibility in modern populations?”

~ George Bernard Shaw, Prefaces (London: Constable and Co., 1934), p. 296.

The idea of killing off large segments of the population is nothing new, as eugenics has been a desire of the elite since ancient Greece and Rome, but the actual term eugenics was not first used until 1883 by Sir Francis Galton. As time passed and human progress accelerated during the early 20th century, the popular term eugenics lost its previous popularity among the herd, and was relegated to secret meetings of the eugenicists of the time. Although the elite’s desire to control life and death did not diminish, the manner in which it was discussed was forced to change. Today, population control is a euphemism for eugenics, and is a term that can be manipulated to promote ideas not readily accepted by the masses. Evil and deceitful people have changed little, but the ways in which they promote their ideas have become much more sophisticated. Real agendas are mostly hidden and certainly more sinister than imagined.

George Bernard Shaw thought that many people would have to be put out of existence because it wastes other people’s time (and money) to look after them. Isn’t that the feeling today by the ruling class concerning the old and weak during this fraudulent pandemic created for the purpose of gaining total control over all populations? Has not this practice of eliminating certain segments of the population been firmly in place since the beginning of this fake coronavirus scam? Which parts of the American populace have been targeted for death since the inception of this false crisis? It has been the old and infirmed, the poor, the weak of mind, and minorities, especially in the inner cities like New York.

In my opinion, nursing homes and long-term care facilities have become the hotbed of murder by the state, and many forced to be in those types of institutions have been purposely targeted for extermination, albeit under the guise of protecting them by forcible isolation, which led to little or no medical care. Depending on state or country, once a single symptom or two of so-called Covid-19 was said to exist in one patient, the entire establishment was considered infected. Because of this mandate, few, if any, would be allowed admittance to hospitals for general care, and none for Covid. This was in essence a death sentence for any that were sick from any ailment in these care homes.  In these circumstances, the death rates at nursing homes and senior centers have escalated dramatically, and with any planned second phase, even a higher level of orchestrated death in these types of places will occur. This is a travesty.

This seems to have been carefully plotted, and shortly after the so-called outbreak, new triage guidelines were implemented, with age alone being considered. Rationing care, and therefore rationing life, became another “new normal.” Using age requirement for triage had never been done in the past, but this change alone was effective in helping to eliminate much of the population that has high care, and therefore, expensive care needs. This was a designed outcome to be sure, but also one based on completely immoral grounds. But then, eugenicists are never moral, and the government apparatus bowed to the commands of its eugenics masters. The benefits of these new rules were numerous, as not only were high need care individuals eliminated, but nearly each and every one could be said to have died from Covid, when this was not the case. These atrocities were valuable to the government from an economic perspective, and were useful in falsely driving up the numbers of deaths from Covid, which also helped to propagate more virus fear among the masses. Economically and psychologically, this was considered a win by the ruling class, which exposes the depraved attitudes of those controlling this nefarious pandemic plot.

Beware the language used to appease the worries of those in the herd, as it hides the real truth and the agendas sought by the elites and their pawns in the political class in favor of something that sounds more palatable to the general public. One such example is that of only allocating scarce resources to those most likely to survive as a necessity. Obviously, the young are more likely to survive, so according to current medical establishment protocols, there are no resources available for the old and truly sick. While this may on the surface sound logical to some, it is but a trap meant to create the appearance of concern by the government based on the lie that resources are in short supply. That notion is but a ruse due to the deception that a real pandemic is evident when it is not. Remember that during this fake crisis, many hospitals were empty or closed, nurses and doctors were laid off across the country, and most common and critical care, other than for alleged Covid patients, was purposely suspended or eliminated. What this means is that none of us are deemed important to the system, young or old, and that the primary objective is not only to reduce or eliminate the older population, but to also reduce care for all.

The “next wave” is now being pushed heavily, and this is meant only to create more panic, and less scrutiny of current medical practices and government mandates. The more fear evident among the people, the easier it will be to advance the agendas of control, of isolation, of masks, of a closed and devastated economy, of a loss of family and friends, of constant lockdown and surveillance, and of the “final solution,” as Bill Gates so laughingly describes it, of mass mandatory vaccination of poisonous toxins worldwide. This is where we are headed.

It is not just the old that are being targeted by these ruling monsters and their accomplices in government; it is all of us. The divisiveness now evident pits all against all, every group against every other group, black against white, and each individual against every other individual. Young, old, sick or healthy matters not to the elite, it is only total power and control that is important to those in charge, and that agenda is being masterfully executed due to the weakness of this now ignorant and impotent American society. What once was special about this country is now simply a perverted distortion of reality that is steeped in utter madness.

“This life in us; however low it flickers or fiercely burns, is still a divine flame which no man dare presume to put out, be his motives never so humane and enlightened; To suppose otherwise is to countenance a death-wish; Either life is always and in all circumstances sacred, or intrinsically of no account; it is inconceivable that it should be in some cases the one, and in some the other.”

The State: The Deadliest Virus | Mises Wire

Posted by M. C. on June 25, 2020

The deadliest virus is the notion that the state can guarantee our public health and universal welfare, when economic science has demonstrated the theoretical impossibility of the central planner’s giving a coherent and coordinating quality to the coercive commands it issues in its attempt to achieve its pompous objectives.

https://mises.org/wire/state-deadliest-virus?utm_source=Mises+Institute+Subscriptions&utm_campaign=061a028589-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_9_21_2018_9_59_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_8b52b2e1c0-061a028589-228343965

The deadliest virus is the institutionalized coercion which lies in the very DNA of the state and may even initially permit a government to deny the outbreak of a pandemic. Evidence has been suppressed, and heroic scientists and doctors have been harassed and silenced simply because they were the first to realize and expose the gravity of the problem. As a result, weeks and months have been lost, at an enormous cost: hundreds of thousands of people have died due to the worldwide spread of an epidemic which, in the beginning, the shamefully manipulated official statistics made appear less dangerous than it actually was.

The deadliest virus is the existence of cumbersome bureaucracies and supranational organizations, which did not manage or wish to monitor in situ the reality of the situation, but instead endorsed the information received, while offering constant support and even praising—and thus becoming accessories to—all the coercive policies and measures adopted.

The deadliest virus is the notion that the state can guarantee our public health and universal welfare, when economic science has demonstrated the theoretical impossibility of the central planner’s giving a coherent and coordinating quality to the coercive commands it issues in its attempt to achieve its pompous objectives. This impossibility is due to the huge volume of information and knowledge which such a task would require and which the planning agency lacks. It is also, and primarily, due to the fact that the institutional coercion typical of the agency impacts the social body of human beings, who alone are capable of coordinating themselves (and do so spontaneously) and creating wealth. Such coercion prevents the emergence of precisely the firsthand knowledge the state needs to bring about coordination with its commands. This theorem is known as the impossibility of economic calculation under socialism. Mises and Hayek discovered the theorem in the 1920s, and the events of world history cannot be understood without it.

The deadliest virus is the dependency and complicity shown toward the state by countless scientists, experts, and intellectuals. When authorities are drunk with power, this symbiosis leaves a manipulated civil society unarmed and defenseless. For instance, the Spanish government itself urged citizens to take part in mass demonstrations of hundreds of thousands of people while the virus was already spreading exponentially. Then, just four days later, the decision was announced to declare a state of alarm and coercively confine the entire population to their homes.

The deadliest virus is the demonization of private initiative and of the agile and efficient self-regulation characteristic of it, combined with the deification of the public sector in every area: the family, education, pensions, employment, the financial sector, and the healthcare system (a particularly relevant point at present). Over 12 million Spanish people, including—quite significantly—almost 90 percent of the more than 2 million government employees (and among them a vice president of the Spanish government), have freely chosen private healthcare over public healthcare. The doctors and nurses of the public healthcare system work hard and selflessly, and their heroic efforts are never sufficiently recognized. However, the system cannot possibly do away with its internal contradictions, its waiting lists, or its proven incompetence in the matters of universal prevention and the protection of its own workers. But, by a double standard, any minor defect in the private sector is always immediately condemned, while far more serious and flagrant defects in the public sector are viewed as definitive proof of a need to spend more money and increase the size of the public sector even further.

The deadliest virus is the political propaganda channeled through state-owned media and also through private media outlets which, nonetheless, are dependent on the state as if it were a drug. As Goebbels taught, lies repeated often enough to the population can be turned into official truths. Here are a few: that the Spanish public healthcare system is the best in the world; that public spending has continued to decrease since the last crisis; that taxes are to be paid by “the rich” and they are not paying their fair share; that the minimum wage is not detrimental to employment; that maximum prices do not cause shortages; that a universal minimum income is the panacea of well-being; that the northern European countries are selfish and unsupportive, because they do not wish to mutualize the debt; that the number of deaths officially reported reflects the actual number of deaths; that only a few hundred thousand people have been infected; that we are performing more than enough tests; that face masks are unnecessary, etc. Any moderately diligent citizen can easily verify that these are all lies.

The deadliest virus is the corrupt use of political terminology involving misleading metaphors to mesmerize the population and make people even more submissive and dependent on the state. We are told that we are fighting a “war,” and that once we win, we will need to begin the “reconstruction.” But we are not at war, nor is it necessary to reconstruct anything. Fortunately, all of our capital equipment, factories, and facilities are intact. They are there, waiting for us to devote all of our effort and entrepreneurial spirit to getting back to work, and when that happens, we will very quickly recover from this standstill. However, for this to occur, we must have an economic policy that favors less government and more entrepreneurial freedom, reduces taxes and regulations, balances public accounts and puts them on a sound footing, liberalizes the labor market, and provides legal certainty and bolsters confidence. While such a free market policy enabled the Germany of Adenauer and Erhard to recover from a far graver situation following World War II, Spain will be impoverished and doomed to move at idling speed if we insist on taking the opposite path of socialism.

The deadliest virus consists of the deification of human reason and the systematic use of coercion, which the state embodies. It appears before us in sheep’s clothing as the quintessence of a certain “do-goodism” that tempts us with the possibility of reaching nirvana here and now and of achieving “social justice” and ending inequality. However, it conceals the fact that the Leviathan thrives on envy and thus fuels hatred and social resentment. Hence, the future of humanity depends on our ability to immunize ourselves against the most deadly virus: the socialism which infects the human soul and has spread to all of us.

Project Veritas Catches Facebook Employees, Contractors Admitting to Political Censorship

James O’Keefe’s team of undercover journalists Project Veritas have released hidden camera footage of Facebook employees admitting to deliberate political bias, censorship of Trump supporters, as well as discrimination against conservative and white male employees.

A Facebook insider, Ryan Hartwig, has also come forward to Project Veritas to give his account of bias and discrimination at the company.

The hidden camera footage reveals a host of Facebook employees and contractors admitting to political bias.

Steve Grimmett, team lead for content review at Facebook can be heard admitting that he lumps the MAGA movement in with “Nazis” and “Hitler.” Grimmett can be heard telling an undercover reporter that he monitors “hate organizations” including “Hitler, Nazis, MAGA, you know, proud boys, all that stuff all day long.”

“We rig the game so it can work on the left side” admits another Facebook employee, who agrees that the company “100%” favors the left.

A content moderator at Cognizant, a firm that handles content moderation for Facebook, can also be heard saying she would accept a $81 million bounty placed on President Trump’s head by the government of Iran.

“It’s inhumane, but if it’s going to save the country why not do it?” asks Kassi Cimo, the content moderator. “We should just hand him over to them. Take the money, as a country, that’s what I’m saying. If we hand him over, our country would be saved, I’m just saying.”

“If I were to go in with a MAGA shirt or a MAGA hat I’d get my ass beat,” says another employee, apparently admitting to an atmosphere of political discrimination and intimidation at the company.

In further undercover footage, Facebook Senior HR manager Leslie Brown can be heard admitting that it’s easier for the company to fire white males because they aren’t able to sue the company for discrimination.

“They were able to fire him without having to worry about discrimination…” says an undercover reporter.

“Right, right. Because he’s a white man. Yeah, white man. So no problem.” – Leslie Brown, Senior HR manager, Facebook.

“Oh, it’s easier when they’re..” continues the reporter.

“..White men,” says Brown, completing the reporter’s sentence. “No one has the white man’s back anymore [laughs].”

Justice Department announces superseding indictment against Wikileaks’ Assange | TheHill

Posted by M. C. on June 25, 2020

“The Trump DOJ’s attempt to imprison Julian Assange for working with his source to publish classified documents that exposed US war crimes is the most severe US threat to press freedom since 2016,” Greenwald tweeted. “It’s sickening to watch so many journalists ignore it, & so many liberals cheer it.”

What is the point? The plan is to have Assange die in jail.

Like with Bin Laden, you can’t have people who know too much to do any talking.

https://thehill.com/policy/cybersecurity/504434-justice-department-announces-superseding-indictment-against-wikileaks

The Justice Department on Wednesday announced a superseding indictment in the case against WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange, alleging that he intentionally worked with hackers affiliated with groups “LulzSec” and “Anonymous” to target and publish sensitive information.

The new indictment, handed down by a federal grand jury in Alexandria, Va., did not add any charges to the existing 18 charges brought against Assange last year, but alleged that Assange and WikiLeaks actively recruited hackers to provide WikiLeaks with documents.

Assange is alleged to have provided the leader of hacking group “LulzSec” with a list of groups to target in 2012 in order to obtain information to post to the WikiLeaks platform.

The new indictment alleges that in one case, Assange gave the LulzSec leader specific documents and pdfs to target and sent to WikiLeaks, and WikiLeaks eventually published information obtained from an American intelligence company by a hacker associated with LulzSec and with Anonymous.

“To obtain information to release on the WikiLeaks website, Assange recruited sources and predicted the success of WikiLeaks in part upon the recruitment of sources to illegally circumvent legal safeguards on information, including classification restrictions and computer and network restrictions,” the indictment reads, noting this was done with the intent to publish the information online.

The 18 charges unveiled last year alleged that Assange worked with former Army Intelligence Analyst Chelsea Manning in 2010 to obtain and disclose sensitive “national defense information” through conspiring to crack a password tied to a Department of Defense computer.

WikiLeaks has published thousands of pages of material obtained from Manning, including details around Guantanamo Bay detainees and combat guidelines concerning the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

If convicted, Assange faces a maximum of 10 years in prison for each of the existing 18 charges brought against him except for alleged conspiracy to commit computer intrusion, for which Assange could face up to five years in prison.

Assange is currently detained in the United Kingdom after being evicted from the Ecuadorian Embassy, where he took refuge for several years. The U.S. has requested Assange’s extradition.

Manning was freed from prison in March after being jailed since May, 2019 for refusing to appear before the grand jury involved in the indictment against Assange.

A federal judge ruled that her testimony was unnecessary, but ordered her to pay a fine of $256,000. The ruling came the day after reports emerged that Manning had attempted suicide while in custody.

The earlier charges brought against Assange and Manning ignited a debate over the publication of classified materials, and whether the case could produce a chilling effect on journalists who publish these documents.

Glenn Greenwald, co-founding editor of The Intercept, tweeted Wednesday following the superseding charges being made public that the charges constituted a “severe” threat to press freedom.

“The Trump DOJ’s attempt to imprison Julian Assange for working with his source to publish classified documents that exposed US war crimes is the most severe US threat to press freedom since 2016,” Greenwald tweeted. “It’s sickening to watch so many journalists ignore it, & so many liberals cheer it.”

bionic mosquito: What of Natural Rights?

Posted by M. C. on June 25, 2020

At the same time, society today is taking a bastardized version of natural law and turning this into natural rights through human law. By law, others have a right to claim from me food if hungry, a home if without shelter, and clothes if cold.

Critics such as these are attacking a strawman, while the state is enacting exactly that which they fear – a theocracy, but based on a deformed concept of what it means to be a human being.

https://bionicmosquito.blogspot.com/2020/06/what-of-natural-rights.html

What of Natural Rights?

I have written extensively on the necessity of natural law as the foundation for a society grounded in liberty. What of natural rights? How are the two related?

Murray Rothbard addresses this question in chapter four of his book, The Ethics of Liberty, pointing to John Locke:

From the Lockean emphasis on the individual as the unit of action, as the entity who thinks, feels, chooses, and acts, stemmed his conception of natural law in politics as establishing the natural rights of each individual.

It is in a grounding of natural rights that the American experiment began, and it is the examination of natural rights that is the purpose of the remainder of Rothbard’s book:

It is this tradition of natural-rights libertarianism upon which the present volume attempts to build.

This distinction of natural law and natural rights has caused confusion for many – certainly me. For example, how can Rothbard open the first three chapters of this book describing the necessity of natural law to liberty and then spend the bulk of the book focusing only on the libertarian analysis of property rights? What of the “moral” stuff inherent in natural law? That’s what I want to get at here.

To begin, while it is true (as Rothbard suggests) that many of the earlier scholars of natural law placed emphasis on the king or state as opposed to the individual, Locke was not the first to demonstrate a distinction between natural law and natural rights. One could find this distinction in Aquinas (emphasis added):

Now human law is framed for a number of human beings, the majority of whom are not perfect in virtue. Wherefore human laws do not forbid all vices, from which the virtuous abstain, but only the more grievous vices, from which it is possible for the majority to abstain; and chiefly those that are to the hurt of others, without the prohibition of which human society could not be maintained: thus human law prohibits murder, theft and such like.

So, while natural law described how humans ought to act toward others (and, in my opinion, describes the type of behavior necessary if one is to expect any form of sustainable liberty on this earth), natural rights describe how others (society) ought to act toward the individual rights-holder.

It is this area of natural rights where Rothbard spends the bulk of his time in this book, all-the-while not discounting his strong statements in the opening chapters regarding the necessity of natural law toward liberty. The individual has a natural right to life and property. While natural law demands certain moral behaviors beyond this, I as an individual have no natural right to force others to behave toward me in such respects.

For a simple example, natural law is grounded in other-regarding action – call it the Golden Rule for simplicity. Yet I have no natural right to demand that others treat me in a loving manner – to feed me if hungry, to shelter me if homeless, or to clothe me if cold.

Natural law describes proper moral behavior – and, in my opinion, the behavior necessary if society is to sustain the natural rights in human law of life and property.

Conclusion

I do have a natural right to demand that others respect my property and my physical body: don’t hit first; don’t take my stuff. And it is here where human law plays a role – as touched on by Aquinas, further developed in Locke, and expanded upon significantly by Rothbard.

But none of these had the gumption to turn all of natural law into natural rights (and, therefore, human law). I have a right to my property and my physical body. Beyond this – whatever natural law demands – I have no right to claim, in human law, other actions. I have no right to demand that others treat me in a loving manner.

Epilogue

I find it quite interesting that one of the strong pushbacks against natural law is the idea that proponents of natural law wish to arrive at a theocracy. Yet it is clear, as early as Aquinas, that this was never the purpose.

Doug Casey on Anarchy and Voluntaryism – International Man

Posted by M. C. on June 25, 2020

It’s always been a battle between the individual and the collective. I’m on the side of the individual.

I simply don’t believe anyone has a right to initiate aggression against anyone else. Is that an unreasonable belief?

Let me put it this way. Since government is institutionalized coercion—a very dangerous thing—it should do nothing but protect people in its bailiwick from physical coercion.

https://internationalman.com/articles/doug-casey-on-anarchy-and-voluntaryism/

by Doug Casey

You’re likely aware that I’m a libertarian. But I’m actually more than a libertarian. I don’t believe in the right of the State to exist. The reason is that anything that has a monopoly of force is extremely dangerous. As Mao Tse-tung, lately one of the world’s leading experts on government, said: “The power of the state comes out of a barrel of a gun.”

There are two possible ways for people to relate to each other, either voluntarily or coercively. And the State is pure institutionalized coercion. It’s not just unnecessary, but antithetical, for a civilized society. And that’s increasingly true as technology advances. It was never moral, but at least it was possible, in oxcart days, for bureaucrats to order things around. Today it’s ridiculous.

Everything that needs doing can and will be done by the market, by entrepreneurs who fill the needs of other people for a profit. The State is a dead hand that imposes itself on society. That belief makes me, of course, an anarchist.

People have a misconception about anarchists. That they’re these violent people, running around in black capes with little round bombs. This is nonsense. Of course there are violent anarchists. There are violent dentists. There are violent Christians. Violence, however, has nothing to do with anarchism. Anarchism is simply a belief that a ruler isn’t necessary, that society organizes itself, that individuals own themselves, and the State is actually counterproductive.

What does that imply? It implies a police force to protect you from coercion within its boundaries, an army to protect you from coercion from outsiders, and a court system to allow you to adjudicate disputes without resorting to coercion.

I could live happily with a government that did just those things. Unfortunately the US Government is only marginally competent in providing services in those three areas. Instead, it tries to do everything else.

The argument can be made that the largest criminal entity today is not some Colombian cocaine gang, it’s the US Government. And they’re far more dangerous. They have a legal monopoly to do anything they want with you. Don’t conflate the government with America—it’s a separate entity, with its own interests, as distinct as General Motors or the Mafia. I’d rather deal with the Mafia than I would with any agency of the US Government.

Even under the worst circumstances, even if the Mafia controlled the United States, I can’t believe Tony Soprano or Al Capone would try to steal 40% of people’s income from them every year. They couldn’t get away with it. But—perhaps because we’re said to be a democracy—the US Government is able to masquerade as “We the People.” That’s an anachronism, at best. The US has mutated into a domestic multicultural empire.

The average person has been propagandized into believing that it’s patriotic to do as he’s told. “We have to obey libraries of regulations, and I’m happy to pay my taxes. It’s the price we pay for civilization.” No, that’s just the opposite of the fact. Those things are a sign that civilization is degrading, that the society is becoming less individually responsible, and has to be held together by force.

It’s all about control. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. The type of people that gravitate to government like to control other people. Contrary to what we’re told to think, that’s why you get the worst people—not the best—who want to get into government.

What about voting? Can that change and improve things? Unlikely. I can give you five reasons why you should not vote in an election (see this article). See if you agree.

Hark back to the ’60s when they said, “Suppose they gave a war and nobody came?” But let’s take it further: Suppose they gave a tax and nobody paid? Suppose they gave an election and nobody voted? What that would do is delegitimize government.

I applaud the fact that only half of Americans vote. If that number dropped to 25%, 10%, then 0%, perhaps everybody would look around and say, “Wait a minute, none of us believe in this evil charade. I don’t like Tweedledee from the left wing of the Demopublican Party any more than I like Tweedledum from its right wing…”

Remember you don’t get the best and the brightest going into government. There are two kinds of people. You’ve got people that like to control physical reality—things. And people that like to control other people. That second group, those who like to lord it over their fellows, are drawn to government and politics.

Some might ask: “Aren’t you loyal to America?” and “How can you say these terrible things?” My response is, “Of course I’m loyal to America, but America is an idea, it’s not a place. At least not any longer…”

America was once unique among the world’s countries. Unfortunately that’s no longer the case. The idea is still unique, but the country no longer is.

I’ll go further than that. It’s said that you’re supposed to be loyal to your fellow Americans. Well, here’s a revelation. I have less in common with my average fellow American than I do with friends of mine in the Congo, or Argentina, or China.

The reason is that I share values with my friends; we look at the world the same way, have the same worldview. But what do I have in common with my fellow Americans who live in the trailer parks, barrios, and ghettos? Or even Hollywood, Washington, and Manhattan? Everyone has to be judged as an individual, but probably very little besides residing in the same political jurisdiction. Most of them—about 50% of the US—are welfare recipients, and therefore an active threat. So I have more personal loyalty to the guys in the Congo than I do to most of my fellow Americans. The fact we carry US passports is simply an accident of birth.

Those who find that thought offensive likely suffer from a psychological aberration called “nationalism”; in serious cases it may become “jingoism.” The authorities and the general public prefer to call it “patriotism.” It’s understandable, though. Everyone, including the North Koreans, tends to identify with the place they were born. But these things should be fairly low on any list of virtues.

Nationalism is the belief that my country is the best country in the world just because I happen to have been born there. It’s most virulent during wars and elections. And it’s very scary. It’s like watching a bunch of chimpanzees hooting and panting at another tribe of chimpanzees across the watering hole. I have no interest in being a part of the charade—although that’s dangerous.

And getting more dangerous as the State grows more powerful. The growth of the State is actually destroying society. Over the last 100 years the State has grown at an exponential rate, and it’s the enemy of the individual. I see no reason why this trend, which has been in motion and accelerating for so long, is going to stop. And certainly no reason why it’s going to reverse.

It’s like a giant snowball that’s been rolling downhill from the top of the mountain. It could have been stopped early in its descent, but now the thing is a behemoth. If you stand in its way you’ll get crushed. It will stop only when it smashes the village at the bottom of the valley.

This makes me quite pessimistic about the future of freedom in the US. As I said, it’s been in a downtrend for many decades. But the events of September 11, 2001, turbocharged the acceleration of the loss of liberty in the US. At some point either foreign or domestic enemies will cause another 9/11, either real or imagined. It’s predictable; that’s what sociopaths do.

When there is another 9/11—and we will have another one—they’re going to lock down this country like one of their numerous new prisons.

It’s going to become very unpleasant in the US at some point soon. It seems to me the inevitable is becoming imminent.

Editor’s Note: Unfortunately there’s little any individual can practically do to change the trajectory of this trend in motion. The best you can and should do is to stay informed so that you can protect yourself in the best way possible.

That’s precisely why New York Times bestselling author Doug Casey just released an urgent new video that explains what could come next and what you can do about it. Click here to watch it now.
