82% of all jobs created in Australia in the last 2 years are govt funded with the private sector adding on 53,000.
Those numbers should terrify all of us. The govt has smothered the private sector and hollowed it out.
Expect productivity and living standards to continue to decline. This sort of economic imbalance leads to nowhere good.

The real issue is control and paranoia. The Australian government is again demonstrating that Australian citizens are its property. It has decided what they can consume, what they may be allowed to read or post, and can make the final say. Social media platforms must comply or they will be fined; how this is enforced is the next stage of overreach.

The Australian government is looking to further control speech and information online, deciding what its citizens may consume through stricter social media laws. The proposal is that social media platforms will be fined 5% of their global revenue should undesired posts or information be seen by Australians. This in conjunction with a South Australian ban on children under fourteen from social media. Steps are being made by the Australian national government to set a standard for information isolation. This is not just an Australian problem but one that is becoming apparent in Canada and the United Kingdom as well. It is a cautionary tale to nations that boast about freedom.
The intention is to censor hateful and deceptive content. The internet has been full of that since the first online forums, so nothing new there. It has also been full of other forms of information and art which at certain times and places (and without context) would also be considered “unapproved.” The intention of the government is to gatekeep and police what it decides the citizens of Australia are allowed to consume or produce.

A threat to democracy is the most common cited reason. Dissenting opinions which run contrary to permissible political ideologies or refute the notion of government itself are dangerous. They challenge the status quo and bring into question specific policies while exposing corruption. Instead of setting a better example, allowing transparency and running with consistency and efficiency, the response is to ban anything that presents a challenge. As such, the new bill is part of an Australian government crackdown to take control of the nation in regards to tech influence from foreign platforms.
The irony is that banning information adds an element of taboo and enhances paranoia. Those who already have a distrust of the state will lean into conspiracy theories or embrace rightfully repulsive persons or ideologies. Damn the nuance! Repulsiveness becomes appealing because in some way it is a snub to the status quo, which is hated and distrusted that much more than history’s pariahs.
It’s been the government that has betrayed people’s trust, not memes. Recall the constant lies and twists and turns from the Global War on Terror to the war on COVID. Other, less grand moments have also inspired challenges to a paranoid authority and its experts, who at different times made Pokemon Go, planking, fidget spinners and shirtless men on the Magic Mike poster all aspects of social concern to be policed, censored, or controlled. They’re now mostly forgotten, but were part of the culminating paternal arrogance of those who view themselves as your superiors.
Social media has continued to be a focus of censorship by various governments, and its still banned in some parts of the world. During the COVID years, those who sought alternative information found themselves in a place of controversy, while others were visited by the police for online posts. Information ranged from blatant lies to more subtle and complicated. The trouble is this went for corporate and state media agencies as well as meme accounts.
In 2023, the Australian government attempted to pass a bill that was criticized in Parliament for giving the governing authority too much power to determine what is permissible speech. The problem is in defining misinformation and disinformation. Social media is certainly rife with both, including the intentional spreading of lies, whether for ideological gain, clout, or for shitposting purposes. What someone does with this information is up to the discretion of the consumer. A person only needs to go to the comment section to find clarifications and explanations, or they could research further. For those who take a meme or spurious claim at face value, this in itself brings into question democracy; power is placed into the hands of individuals who can be swayed by memes. Are such memes any better or worse than the claims and “promises” of a politician? False claims and outright misinformation can be quite obvious to anyone who is not actively trying to feed their preconceived biases.
Social media platforms have been using community notes and self-policing to address the problems of bots and false claims. The trouble is that history itself is constantly being learned and studied, debated and reviewed by historians and amateurs in the field. Developments in cience are the subject of scrutiny and critical review and analysis. To have an authority determine the correct viewpoint leaves itself open to experts bias or outdated information.

Former deputy PM Barnaby Joyce says Assange is being pursued by the US for ‘being a journalist’ and ‘telling the truth’
This would all be over if Assange would hurry up and die in the foreign prison. That way his death could be blamed on some poor sap in Belmarsh prison. A win win.
A delegation of Australian members of parliament met with US officials in Washington on Wednesday and called for the release of WikiLeaks founder and Australian citizen Julian Assange, who faces up to 175 years in prison if extradited to the US and convicted for exposing US war crimes.
The delegation includes six MPs from different ends of the political spectrum in a show of unity aimed at freeing Assange. More than 60 Australian MPs also signed a letter in support of the trip that called for the US to drop the charges against the WikiLeaks founder.
After meeting with Biden administration officials at the Department of Justice in Washington, the Australian delegation held a press conference and said they would keep up the pressure on the US. Barnaby Joyce, the leader of Australia’s National Party and former deputy prime minister, said Assange was only guilty of being a journalist.
“Literally, all sides of politics have come together and united on this one key message, which is that an Australian citizen, Julian Assange, should come home,” Joyce said, according to Fox News.
“The only crime that we see that Julian Assange has been charged with is the crime of being a journalist, the crime of telling the truth.

As noted by Rennick, Australia had logged more than 10 million COVID-19 cases by September 2022, at which point the Australian Health Department stopped counting — a decision made out of embarrassment, Rennick suggests, seeing how more than half the country caught COVID despite the fact that 20 million out of Australia’s total population of 26 million2 got their COVID jabs.
Rennick goes on to highlight the rising excess death rate. In 2021, Australia had 8,706 extra deaths above norm, even though New South Wales remained in lockdown for three whole months. “In theory, the deaths should have been lower, like they were in 2020,” Rennick says.
When Will COVID Jab Injuries Be Addressed?
Then there are the jab injuries, which according to Rennick now number around 140,000, “more than all the injuries reported from vaccines since 1971.” Yet despite this shocking discrepancy, the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) — just as the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the U.S. — refuses to look at or even acknowledge the signal.
“[That’s] the whole point of having a database where doctors report these injuries, where they tick the box ‘Suspected [vaccine injury]’ — and as the doctors say, they don’t fill these forms out because they have spare time … no, they’re ticking these boxes because they believe the vaccine caused the injury they’re reporting — and yet the TGA wants to pretend that there’s nothing to see here.” Rennick says.
“And why wouldn’t they? Because professor [John] Skerritt [director of the TGA] is head of an organization that is funded by Big Pharma. If you want to talk about a conflict of interest, that’s it …
For the past 15 months, I’ve been contacted by people who have had their lives destroyed by the vaccine, a vaccine the government said was safe and effective. And if that isn’t bad enough … you people in this chamber here today, didn’t read the documents …
You took control over other people’s bodies because it suited your control and command narrative. You showed no humanity. There are people out there that are not only injured, they have lost their jobs and they cannot get medical support. Husbands and wives … had to quit their jobs to stay home and look after [them] … [They’re] in an incredible amount of pain …
The fact that the Green Party can sit in that corner over there and mock and laugh at the vaccine injured — These people aren’t anti-vaxxers. They believed what the government told them, as I did when I first got here. But I tell you what, it’s nothing but a cesspit of lies in this place.”
Chief Health Officer Hasn’t Read Key Science Reports
Rennick reviews how he asked professor Brendan Murphy, who was the chief health officer at the time, whether he’d actually read the nonclinical trial report for the Pfizer shot. As it turns out, he had not. And because he hadn’t, what he told the public was complete make-believe.
“These guys have NO IDEA what they are talking about,” Rennick says. “[Murphy] had been saying … that the spike protein wasn’t in the blood. Well, had he read the report he would have known that they never tested [for] the spike protein.
He would have also known that when they did the animal trials, the report said there was no difference in lung inflammation between the placebo group and the vaccinated group after nine days. There was not one [wit] of evidence that showed the vaccine was effective.
But did anyone in this chamber … actually read that report? I bet you not. But you all went out there and said it was safe and effective, when you didn’t have a clue what you were talking about.
Shame on you, because the law in this country, in the Australian Immunization Register, says you cannot be coerced into taking a vaccine, No. 1, and No. 2 is that you need to be properly informed about what is in the vaccine …
[T]hat spike protein in the vaccine isn’t even the same as in the virus. No, no, no, they’ve actually changed one of the nucleotides and they’ve got a synthetic gene in the vaccine … which is designed to make it last longer.”
Rennick points out that when it was discovered that the spike protein load doubled in the ovaries between Day 1 and Day 2 after the jab, they simply stopped the trial and continued to say that the spike protein stayed at the site of injection, which was a blatant lie.

The unspeakable stain of the Covid tyranny requires the very opposite of the “pandemic amnesty” that the craven poltroons at the Atlantic magazine suggested recently. That’s because the precedent was such a grave affront to constitutional liberty and capitalist prosperity that those responsible should be exposed, hounded and shamed, and prosecuted where warranted, so that future power-grabbers will forever be reminded that tyranny cannot be imposed with impunity.
From the very beginning of the pandemic, there were legions of pedigreed epidemiologists and other scientists—many of who later signed the Great Barrington Declaration—who correctly held that viruses cannot be extinguished via draconian quarantines and other clumsy one-size-fits-all public health interventions; and that when it came to corona-viruses in particular, it was doubtful whether even vaccines—which had never been successful with coronaviruses—could defeat the latter’s natural propensity to mutate and spread.
In a word, from its earliest days, there was no reason for a sweeping intervention by the public health apparatus at all. Nor for the coercive one-size-fits all, state-driven mobilization of quarantines, lockdowns, testing, masking, distancing, surveilling, snitching and ultimately mandated mass vaxxing with experimental drugs developed under a dangerous multi-ten billion government subsidy scheme called Operation Warp Speed, followed by an open-ended Emergency Use authorization that shielded the pharma companies from any and all liabilities.
That truth from the earliest days was especially the case because in addition to decades of scientific knowledge about the proper management of virus based pandemics, there existed the screaming real time evidence from the stranded Diamond Princess cruise ship. The 3,711 souls (2,666 passengers and 1,045 crew) aboard skewed heavily to the elderly, but the survival rate known in mid-March 2020 was 99.7% overall, and 100% for those under 70 years of age. In short, just 0.19% of an elderly skewed population had succumbed to the virus. So the facts which were known to the White House (or certainly should have been) made absolutely clear that the Covid was no Black Plague type threat. Full stop.

The US is planning to build facilities for the aircraft at a base near Darwin
“It’s a great expansion of Australian commitment to the United States’ war plan with China,” Richard Tanter, a senior research associate at the Nautilus Institute, told ABC. “It’s a sign to the Chinese that we are willing to be the tip of the spear.”

Australia’s ABC News has reported that the US is preparing to deploy up to six nuclear-capable B-52 bombers to Australia in a provocative move aimed at China.
The US will build facilities for the B-52 bombers at the Tindal air base, which is just south of the northern coastal city of Darwin. The US plan to expand the air base is expected to cost about $100 million and includes a parking area for up to six B-52s.
The US Air Force has said that the parking area will be completed by 2026. The revelation of the planned B-52 deployment comes about a year after the US, Australia, and Britain signed the AUKUS military pact.
The AUKUS pact focuses on technology sharing and aims to provide Australia with nuclear-powered submarines, which would likely be used to patrol waters near China. After the signing of AUKUS, Washington and Canberra also agreed to increase the US military presence in Australia.
In September 2021, then-Australian Defense Minister Peter Dutton met with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and said the increased cooperation will include “rotational deployments of all types of US military aircraft to Australia.”
The B-52 deployment is the latest example of growing US-Australia military ties, which some fear could guarantee Canberra’s involvement in a future conflict between the US and China.

It is what happens when Omicron hits a highly vaccinated population with little preexisting natural immunity; the early returns are not promising
Australia has deported Novak Djokovic for the crime of being unvaccinated.
Sending the world’s top tennis player home may make the Karens of the South feel better. Too bad it won’t solve their Omicron crisis.
Australia now averages more than 100,000 new Covid cases per day – equal to about 1.5 million in the United States. One fine day last week, it reported 175,000, the equivalent of about 2.5 million, maybe the highest per-capita total any country has ever reported.
Not even six months ago, Australia was still chasing zero Covid and patting itself on the back for “Doughnut Days” – with no new Covid infections. (Because a doughnut is shaped like a zero, see?)
Yeah, about that:
By the way, Australia is among the world’s most Covid vaccinated counties.
Its policy of open coercion and discrimination against the unvaccinated has “succeeded” – more than 95 percent of Australians 16 and over have received at least one vaccine dose, and 93 percent two doses. Those figures effectively represent full vaccination – many of the people left are probably simply too frail to tolerate Covid vaccines.

Yesterday, in a statement to Parliament on the UK’s planned “vaccine passport”, Health Secretary Sajid Javid admitted the NHS Pass would require three shots for you to be considered “fully vaccinated”.
“Once all adults have had a reasonable chance to get their booster jab, we intend to change this exemption to require a booster dose,”
While many of us predicted this would be the case, it is the first time any British politician has actually said it out loud, and in front of parliament too.
This incredibly cynical “evolving definition” of “fully vaccinated” is not a new phenomenon, and is not isolated to the UK either.
Israel changed their definition of “fully vaccinated” to include the booster months ago. New Zealand’s ministry of health is “considering” doing the same, as is Australia.
The EU isn’t far behind either, with proposals in place to make travel dependent on having a third dose.
The US hasn’t formally adopted a new definition yet, but you’d have to be blind not to see the signs. Just yesterday the LA Times headlined:
Should the definition of ‘fully vaccinated’ be changed to include a booster shot?
An article on Kaiser Health News asks the same thing.
Tony Fauci is quoted in the Independent as saying it’s only a matter of time before the definition is updated:
“It’s going to be a matter of when, not if” getting a booster shot will be considered being “fully vaccinated,” Dr Fauci said.
Opinion pieces are already appearing asking “is it safe to hangout with the unboosted”?
(This headline was so unpopular, the Atlantic changed it only a couple of hours after it was published, and even the archived version appears to have been scrubbed).
All in all it seems pretty clear that, by the time 2022 rolls around, most of the Western world will require three shots in order to qualify as “fully vaccinated”.
It’s also clear that this won’t stop at three. Already, just last week, Pfizer were claiming they may need to “move up the timeline” for a fourth vaccine dose.
This change is being blamed on Omicron, with articles warning the “new variant” can “hit” the vaccinated. Fortune reports:

So, the third (and maybe fourth) doses are (allegedly) for Omicron…but that model can extend to perpetuity. In order to go to five, six or seven they’ll only need to “discover” more “new variants”.
It will just keep going and going.
But there is good news in all this, every time the powers-that-shouldn’t-be change the rules in the middle of the game, it’s a chance to knock people out of their media-induced hypnosis.
There are promising signs that millions of already-vaccinated will reject the booster. We can build on that.
So tell your single and double jabbed friends, try to open their eyes to the path they are starting down.
They may consider themselves “fully vaccinated”, but the government doesn’t, and never will.

BERLIN—German Health Minister Jens Spahn has announced his aggressive plan to fight COVID, which will include gathering all the unvaccinated people and putting them in special secured areas where they won’t bother anyone.
“Ze key to fighting ze COVID iz very simple,” said Spahn. “Ve must concentrate all ze filthy undesirables into special camps with very tall barbed-wire fences all around, where they will not infect us with their filthy anti-vaxx presence anymore.”
Unvaccinated Germans will also be required to wear highly-visible markings on their clothing, so everyone will know to stay away from them, or turn them in if they attempt to buy food in a public market.
“Zis iz for ze good of ze German people,” continued Spahn. “Ve vill not tolerate zis disgusting unvaccinated in our presence anymore. Heil Science!”
Spahn then gave a very special pro-science salute.
Australia praised the move by the German Health Minister, saying it worked great for the Aborigines.
