Bill Gates Wants To Hold the World in Partial Lockdown Until His Vaccine Is Approved, Maybe 18 Months From Now – LewRockwell

There is a small undercurrent that many of the worldwide cases of pneumonia from COVID-19 coronavirus are actually from tuberculosis.  It is very difficult to distinguish flu-related pneumonia from TB-induced pneumonia.  Of particular interest is that nations that mandate TB vaccination have a coronavirus death rate six times lower than other countries.

Bill Gates is currently spending millions of dollars to build seven factories to develop a COVID-19 coronavirus vaccine.

The world would be better to spend money on increasing immunity from infectious disease with nutritional supplementation, namely vitamins C & D and zinc, and the targeted use of medicines, which includes the anti-malaria chloroquine, to treat or prevent severe COVID-19 symptoms among high-risk groups.  Such an approach would be more appropriate and less problematic than mass vaccination.

Speaking on PBS Newshour, billionaire and vaccine developer Bill Gates suggests the world threat of COVID-19 coronavirus infection will not completely subside and lockdowns of human populations will only open up “to some degree…… until we have very broad vaccination.”

Until then Gates suggests worldwide wearing masks, temperature monitoring, social distancing and tracing of individuals, probably via cell phone locators, who have been exposed to infected people.

So anti-coronavirus measures, which have closed restaurants and churches, grounded commercial aircraft and many other businesses, would be prolonged.  The financial harm appears to be worse than the disease.

If these coronavirus measures continue for a prolonged time, it is also possible the solvency of most medical practices would be threatened and most doctors would be out of business by the time a vaccine is introduced.

Such measures would seem onerous for an infectious disease that doesn’t induce symptoms for 80% of infected individuals.  This is what Bill Gates calls a “nightmare scenario.”  The “nightmare scenario” are the lockdown measures, not the virus.

While there are aggressive predictions a coronavirus vaccine could be approved and rushed to market in 6 months, other experts say such a vaccine may be 18 months away, and even then, that would “be risky.”

The International Vaccine Institute says a rush to market “may prove to be unsafe.”  It usually takes 5 to 10 years to roll-out vaccines.  The International Vaccine Institute says 93% of vaccines fail clinical trials.

More would suffer from the vaccine than the disease

Vaccines are tested on healthy individuals.  But hundreds of millions of people are not healthy and are at greater risk to experience severe side effects requiring hospitalization.  The unhealthy may not develop sufficient antibodies and acquire vaccine-induced disease which would likely be confused with community-acquired coronavirus infection, not vaccination itself.

Using a large flu study for comparison, around 6/10ths of 1 percent to 1.3 percent of people vaccinated for the flu experienced a side effect requiring hospitalization.  Among those hospitalized, another study reveals 1.4% would die.

Using these figures, even a relatively safe and effective vaccine if universally mandated among the world population of 7.8 billion could hospitalize 46.8-101.4 million and result in 655,200-1,419,600 needless deaths worldwide, far worse than the coronavirus in circulation without any vaccine.  There simply aren’t that many hospital beds in the world, let alone ventilators for patients who are on the critical list.

Over-estimated deaths being used to create demand for vaccine

Months of reported coronavirus deaths could result in public clamor for a vaccine, but in post-treatment review it appears 8 in 10 COVID-19 related deaths (Italy) were actually due to underlying conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer.  According to the CDC 83.3% of  of Americans with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 coronavirus infections have underlying medical conditions.  Yet the news media keeps blasting higher death counts which is irresponsible.

Then there is a financial incentive being given to hospitals to up-code cases of seasonal pneumonia by following newly issued CDC guidelines, to indicate they died of COVID-19 ($39,000 reimbursement instead of the normal $13,000).  So, is the CDC driving the appearance of COVID-19 deaths to push public demand for a vaccine out of what amounts to unsubstantiated fear?

Maybe it’s actually another infectious disease

Anthony Fauci sets stage for mandatory — lucrative! — vaccine

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Anthony Fauci, America’s most-listened-to medical professional on the coronavirus, and apparently on all the political, economic, cultural and social precautions every man, woman and child in the nation should take on the coronavirus, has just warned what cooler-head coronavirus watchers have suspected all along: that this country may never, no never, go back to normal.

Never, that is, Fauci suggested, until a vaccine is developed. And by logical extension, that’s to say — never, until a vaccine is developed that must then be included on the required list of shots for all children to attend school.

What great news for Big Pharma.

What great news for Bill Gates who just announced his foundation is going to spend billions of dollars to help build factories for seven possible coronavirus vaccine makers. “Spend” is probably the wrong word here. Invest is more like it.

After all, Gates, first and foremost, is a businessman. A billionaire businessman who made his billions in Microsoft and who just left his billion-dollar Microsoft enterprise to pursue other matters — specifically, to “serve humanity,” is how the Economic Times put it, in a March headline.

For a taste of how he’s already served humanity, one need only look to the disastrous Common Core one-size-fits-all, top-down education plan that his foundation bankrolled.

From education to vaccinations — the service to humanity never ends.

But this is what Fauci just warned, at a White House briefing with reporters: “When we get back to normal, we will go back to the point where we can function as a society. But … [i]f you want to get back to pre-coronavirus, that might not ever happen in the sense that the threat is there. But I believe that with the therapies that will be coming online, and the fact that I feel confident that over a period of time we will get a good vaccine, that we will never have to get back to where we are right now.”

He also said this: “If back to normal means acting like there never was a coronavirus problem, I don’t think that’s going to happen until we do have a situation where you can completely protect the population. This — as the dire, dark, deathly numbers that sent America into coronavirus panic in the first place were just revised downward. “America’s most influential coronavirus model just revised its estimates downward,” The Washington Post reported.

This — as Gates, the guy who has been the face of warning about the “nightmare scenario” of the coronavirus outbreak, just said the predicted death toll may not be as high as, well, predicted. Yes, viruses are, after all, seasonal.

This — as deaths due to the coronavirus are wildly open to interpretation, wildly speculative, wildly unscientific.

“The lack of widespread, systematic testing in most countries is the main source of discrepancies in death rates internationally,” BBC reported.

What do doctors consider a coronavirus death?

In the United Kingdom, health officials give daily counts of deaths of those who tested positive for the coronavirus, but who might have actually died from other medical conditions. In the United States, doctor discretion reigns.

“In the US,” BBC reported, “doctors … are asked to record whether the patient dies ‘as a result of this illness’ when reporting Covid-19 deaths to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”

So some patients may have underlying conditions that lead to death; others may not. Some hospitals may have policies that mandate the U.K. model — to chalk up any patient who died with the coronavirus to be reported to the CDC as a coronavirus fatality; other hospitals may let the doctor determine. It’s a toss-up, hardly fact-based.

And for all this, America may never see a return to pre-coronavirus normalcy?

We’re focused on fear.

We should be focused on this: the money trail.

The money and power trail.

The Global Vaccine Action Plan, for instance.

“The World Health Organization, UNICEF, the National institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have announced a collaboration to increase coordination across the international vaccine community and create a Global Vaccine Action Plan,” the Gates Foundation reported in a press release. “The collaboration follows the January 2010 call by Bill ad Melinda Gates for the next ten years to be the Decade of Vaccines.”

The “Decade of Vaccines?”

It’s a structured campaign. It includes a Leadership Council, a Steering Committee, an International Advisory Committee — and other bureaucratic so forths and so ons. But here’s an interesting link.

The Leadership Council “is comprised of … Dr. Anthony S. Fauci,” the Gates Foundation reported.

Fauci, the same guy who just set the stage for the dire need for a protective coronavirus vaccine, has a vested interest in seeing this vaccine come to fruition — come to widely administered fruition.

“Vaccines are miracles,” said Pedro Alonso, the director for the Institute for Global Health of Barcelona, and another stakeholder in the “Decade of Vaccines” program.

Yes.

And for certain folk, certain insider folk, vaccines are also great economic and political investments. Especially when they come as saving grace solutions to wildly spread fears — especially when they come as required, mandated protections for global populations.

In what has become a continuing series on the Great Coronavirus Panic of 2020, I would like to begin this much shorter article by thanking Remnant readers for their prayers for my father, Joseph, who is still locked down in a nursing facility in which the Wuhan virus is present. So far, he is doing well and shows no signs of the virus.

To sum up where we stand today, April 6: Based on the pretext that we must “limit the spread” of the Wuhan virus, the American economic boom of the past three years has been reversed in a matter of days, millions have lost their jobs, tens of thousands of small businesses have been shuttered and will probably never reopen, and three-quarters of the American population has been subjected to some form of house arrest by state, county and city governments.

 

All over the country people are being fined or arrested and jailed for violating suddenly imposed restrictions on their every movement and gathering, often with the aid of their neighbors, who turn them in to the police, following instructions on how to be a snitch.  Attendance at religious services has been forbidden altogether or limited to ten people, even in vast cathedrals, while “permission” is granted to crowd supermarkets and convenience stores, buy booze, purchase cannabis and have pets groomed.

In New York State, the Bill Gates-subsidized Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IMHE) “model” predicting doom in that state has been exposed as little short of a hoax, as its dire predictions are continually being slashed to match actual numbers and are still wildly off the mark. Yet, in New York City, hovering drones bark out commands to observe “social distancing” of “at least six feet” in a message that ends on a chillingly Orwellian note: “We are all in this together!”

It is becoming clearer with each passing day that the death toll from the Wuhan virus is not rising exponentially as the “experts” predicted but only modestly in some places while levelling off or even declining almost everywhere else in the country—as well as the world.  The incidence of infection borders on nil in the hot and humid countries, where the number of deaths remains in the double or very low triple digits four months after the virus emerged from the Wuhan province of China.

Common sense alone indicates that the number of deaths will ultimately be nowhere near the 2 million without “mitigation” or a best case 100,000 to 240,000 with “mitigation” as predicted by “Tony and Deborah” at the White House press briefings that have fueled nationwide panic.  Tony and Deb have since revised their “models” downward to predict 40,000 to 178,000 deaths. And that prediction has already been lowered again as the IMHE model Tony and Deb have been touting during the briefings now “predicts” 81,766 deaths by August 4. That prediction would require some 18,000 people to die every month between now and then, even though at 10,000 deaths since February 29—a number consistent with a heavy flu season—we appear to have reached the peak and a decline is already evident.

At some point, Tony and Deb will be “predicting” precisely what has already happened, as we saw with the “models” that first predicted Hillary Clinton was certain to win the Presidency.  And when the final death toll fails even to approach what they first predicted in order to panic the whole country into a nationwide lockdown never before seen in human history, they will make the unprovable, non-falsifiable,  junk science  claim that “mitigation worked.”

But it is becoming increasingly clear that “mitigation” has done nothing but cause a pointless, catastrophic disruption of social and economic life. This seems to delight the lying media and their Democrat partners, who are striving to keep fear alive, avoid or minimize any good news about the numbers, overstate the burden on local hospitals (without any unedited video or other reliable evidence), argue against curative treatment by hydroxychloroquine or otherwise, get everybody into masks after months of  “expert” advice that masks are ineffective, and generally prolong the economic damage and loss of civil liberties for months to come.

As the actual numbers belie the pseudo-scientific prophecies of doom, however, the lockdown of America that began with Democrat governors and mayors now exhibits a curious and hardly coincidental fissure along party lines.  As of today, nine states, all headed by Republican governors, refuse to join the lockdown regime and now provide embarrassing counterfactuals demonstrating that officially mandated lockdowns were never necessary and have probably made the situation worse by preventing the development of “herd immunity” to this virus, like all the others, from the normal interaction of large populations.

The following are the nine states that have refused to impose lockdowns.  All of them have minimal death tolls from the Wuhan virus, including the populous South Carolina, and five of them have not enacted even local lockdowns:

Vaccines are very big business: this Feb. 23 CNBC article, for example, describes the vaccine market as six times bigger than it was 20 years ago, at more than $35 billion annually today, and providing a $44 return for every $1 invested in the world’s 94 lowest-income countries.

In a recent candid interview, Bill Gates outlined that, despite the comparatively small threat of Coronavirus, he and his colleagues “don’t want a lot of recovered people” who have acquired natural immunity. They instead are hoping we become reliant on vaccines and anti-viral medication.
Shockingly, Gates also suggests people be made to have a digital ID showing their vaccination status, and that people without this “digital immunity proof” would not be allowed to travel. Such an approach would mean very big money for vaccine producers.

On March 24 Bill Gates gave a highly revelatory 50-minute interview (above) to Chris Anderson. Anderson is the Curator of TED, the non-profit that runs the TED Talks.

The Gates interview is the second in a new series of daily ‘Ted Connects’ interviews focused on COVID-19. The series’s website says that:

TED Connects: Community and Hope is a free, live, daily conversation series featuring experts whose ideas can help us reflect and work through this uncertain time with a sense of responsibility, compassion and wisdom.”

Anderson asked Gates at 3:49 in the video of the interview – which is quickly climbing to three million views – about a ‘Perspective’ article by Gates that was published February 28 in the New England Journal of Medicine.

“You wrote that this could be the once-in-a-century pandemic that people have been fearing. Is that how you think of it, still?” queried Anderson.

“Well, it’s awful to say this but, we could have a respiratory virus whose case fatality rate was even higher. If this was something like smallpox, that kills 30 percent of people. So this is horrific,” responded Gates.

“But, in fact, most people even who get the COVID disease are able to survive. So in that, it’s quite infectious – way more infectious than MERS [Middle East Respiratory Syndrome] or SARS [Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome] were. [But] it’s not as fatal as they were. And yet the disruption we’re seeing in order to knock it down is really completely unprecedented.”

Gates reiterates the dire consequences for the global economy later in the interview.

“We need a clear message about that,” Gates said starting at 26:52.

“It is really tragic that the economic effects of this are very dramatic. I mean, nothing like this has ever happened to the economy in our lifetimes. But … bringing the economy back and doing [sic] money, that’s more of a reversible thing than bringing people back to life. So we’re going to take the pain in the economic dimension, huge pain, in order to minimize the pain in disease and death dimension.”

However, this goes directly against the imperative to balance the benefits and costs of the screening, testing and treatment measures for each ailment – as successfully promulgated for years by, for example, the Choosing Wisely campaign – to provide the maximum benefit to individual patients and society as a whole.

Even more importantly, as noted in an April 1 article in OffGuardian, there may be dramatically more deaths from the economic breakdown than from COVID-19 itself.

“By all accounts, the impact of the response will be great, far-reaching, and long-lasting,”

Kevin Ryan wrote in the article. Ryan estimated that well over two million people will likely die from the sequelae of the lock-downs and other drastic measures to enforce ‘social distancing.’…

Then at 32:50 in the video, Anderson asked whether the blood serum from people who have recovered from a COVID infection can be used to treat others.

“I heard you mention that one possibility might be treatments from the serum, the blood serum of people who had had the disease and then recovered. So I guess they’re carrying antibodies,” said Anderson. “Talk a bit about that and how that could work and what it would take to accelerate that.”

[Note that Anderson did not ask Gates about, instead, just letting most of the population – aside from people most vulnerable to serious illness from the infection, who should be quarantined — be exposed to COVID-19 and as a result very likely recover and develop life-long immunity. As at least one expert has observed, “as much as ninety-nine percent of active cases [of COVID-19] in the general population are ‘mild’ and do not require specific medical treatment” to recover.]

“This has always been discussed as, ‘How could you pull that off?’” replied Gates. “So people who are recovered, it appears, have very effective antibodies in their blood. So you could go, transfuse them and only take out white cells, the immune cells.”

However, Gates continued, he and his colleagues have dismissed that possibility because it’s “fairly complicated – compared to a drug we can make in high volume, you know, the cost of taking it out and putting it back in probably doesn’t scale as well.”

Then a few seconds later, at 33:45, Gates drops another bomb:

We don’t want to have a lot of recovered people […] To be clear, we’re trying – through the shut-down in the United States – to not get to one percent of the population infected. We’re well below that today, but with exponentiation, you could get past that three million [people or approximately one percent of the U.S. population being infected with COVID-19 and the vast majority recovering]. I believe we will be able to avoid that with having this economic pain.”

It appears that rather than let the population be exposed to the virus and most develop antibodies that give them natural, long-lasting immunity to COVID-19, Gates and his colleagues far prefer to create a vast, hugely expensive, new system of manufacturing and selling billions of test kits, and in parallel very quickly developing and selling billions of antivirals and vaccines.

And then, when the virus comes back again a few months later and most of the population is unexposed and therefore vulnerable, selling billions more test kits and medical interventions.

Right after that, at 34:14, Gates talked about how he sees things rolling out from there.

Eventually what we’ll have to have is certificates of who’s a recovered person, who’s a vaccinated person […] Because you don’t want people moving around the world where you’ll have some countries that won’t have it under control, sadly. You don’t want to completely block off the ability for people to go there and come back and move around. So eventually there will be this digital immunity proof that will help facilitate the global reopening up.”

More and more evidence is forthcoming daily that this new coronavirus called Covid-19, is not only being blown out of proportion, but is purposely being manipulated to show many more deaths than are actually caused by this mystery virus. In some cases, as in Italy, the so-called current epicenter of this falsely identified pandemic, the obvious deception is easy to identify, but it goes on none the less; this due to the perpetrators of this fraud understanding that fear sells, and allows for the unimpeded ease of population control. This is partially due to a weakness of mind, but also to the fact that the American public is no longer independent and free, but is beholding to the state as guardian of the flock. 

Much of the hype surrounding this ordeal has been refuted, and those responsible for making magnificent and unsubstantiated death claims early on have not only backed off, but have ratcheted down their initial warnings exponentially. This was done quietly and without fanfare of course, unlike their mass fear mongering, but nonetheless their claims were patently false. This is why the continued tyranny due to this hype is so ridiculous, as the false basis for the initial fear has been exposed, but the political class and its media continue on as if their lies were not noticed. In the meantime, millions of Americans are without a job, without savings, and without any way to support their families, all due to forcible government interference into their lives in the name of “safety.” The economy was shut down, and is still shut down, with no apparent end in sight.

The salacious headlines continue, and read as if Armageddon is already here, but by some legitimate estimates, the actual numbers being reported of death due to this virus could be ten times too high. There should be no doubt at this point that this entire episode of viral panic has either been purposely staged, or used to accomplish nefarious political agendas, or both. All this for a pneumonia-like sickness that is minor compared to the common flu, but a very convenient tool if control of the masses is sought.

Much of this began due to governments’ around the world, especially in the U.S. and UK, listening to one man, a supposed coronavirus “expert,” Epidemiologist Neil Ferguson. He projected 2.2 million deaths in the U.S. and over 500 thousand in the UK if extreme actions were not taken. After the first day of the UK lockdown, he lowered those estimates by a factor of 25 down to 20,000. After this was properly scrutinized, he made a statement in an attempt to cover his own incompetence, but was not successfully in my opinion. But did things change after his fraudulent model was exposed; a model used to close down entire countries? Of course not, because that would never fit the agenda sought by the ruling class.

If things continue as of late, the U.S. will be the next country to completely shut down, claiming death numbers that are also extremely misleading, and in fact could be outright lies.

Much of the economic damage is already done, and the continued devastation due to the extreme measures taken under the guise of protecting all of us will linger for an unknown amount of time. GDP in this country is estimated to fall 35% in just the second quarter alone, but with much of the economy completely destroyed, and possible unemployment up to 30% or more, even when these restrictions are lifted, the damage already done will prove to be unbearable. With this comes extreme psychological problems as well, and sickness and despair at every level will not only increase, but will be deadly. When all is said and done, this virus will seem tame compared to the horrible consequences of the state’s version of a cure.

The next menacing government threat of this plotted response is coming, and that is a coronavirus vaccine that will be demanded or even forced on the public. As the screws of surveillance and control get ever tighter, mandated vaccinations are in our future. Long after this virus has disappeared, the vaccines will still be with us, and most likely very dangerous. First, vaccines are questionable when all is done correctly, and over a long period of time, but a coronavirus vaccine is already being tested. Vaccines normally need at least 18 months or more to be tested properly before being used on the public. The risks and potential side effects could be deadly, and certainly could cause much harm. Beware of the wolf in sheep’s clothing called the government and the CDC. False claims about this new vaccination coming will abound, but caution is warranted.

This is about power and money, lots of money. Pharmaceutical companies, the CDC, and those like Bill Gates and his ilk, stand to make fortunes, and with mandates for vaccination, also will have a seemingly endless market, all due to government interference and enforcement. This is a dream for these evil people and corporations, and safety is the last order of business in a fiasco like the one unfolding.

Fear and panic have driven this monstrous response, and although government and the mainstream media knowingly fed this fear from all angles, the people at large accepted the fraud hook, line, and sinker. As I have mentioned many times previously, the death toll from the state response of shutting down the country, isolating people and families, forcing those most at risk into seclusion which is the equivalent to a death penalty, and destroying the economic activity that sustains the lives of all will certainly be responsible for many more deaths than the so-called threat of any virus. The toll on Americans from this madness perpetrated by government will be the real pandemic, and one that will continue for years to come. What a travesty, and what an exposé on the horrendous and vile nature of government and media today. Evil is as evil does, and government’s evil deeds during this manufactured crisis have laid bare the wickedness that is the political system and its criminal representatives at every level of rule.

Marxism has claimed its myriads of victims, but none of them are sorrier or more craven than American billionaires. These guys don’t just turn the other cheek to communists: they kneel and kiss their butts. Then they carefully wipe any spittle from their enemies’ posteriors, chirping about democracy and equality. As if abject submission has ever protected anyone anywhere.

I don’t understand the relationship between staggering affluence and cojones, but for sure it’s an inverse one. You’d think it would be the other way round: I mean, how many folks will tell a billionaire to take a hike? Even fewer will risk punching him out.

Surely Mr. Billionaire understands this; surely the hordes he employs, whether professionally or personally, have shown him that when boots are licked, it’s the Guccis on his own feet, not the hoi polloi’s $30 Frogg Toggs, that wind up glistening.

But no. Mr. Bill fawns and cringes when Marxists rudely—but I repeat myself—pry into his finances. He cowers as they rain their blows, plasters a sick, “please-don’t-hit-me-too-hard” smile on his face, and refuses to turn the tables on his interrogators, however easy it may be and no matter how richly they deserve it.

Indeed, an actual Mr. Bill—as in Gates—provides the latest example. Microsoft’s co-founder is a less-than-sympathetic character: not only does he grovel to his persecutors, “I’m all for super progressive tax systems,” but when Elizabeth “Fauxcahontas” Warren schemes to steal his fortune, he defends neither it nor himself.

So we will. Because theft is theft, whether it’s a buck or a billion, whether the mugger in the alleyway despoils us or the IRS does.

For starters, Fauxcahontas lives in a glass mansion: her estimated worth in 2019 is “$8.75 million…, a figure that is based on various financial statements, most notably the release of her federal tax returns…” Yep, small potatoes next to Mr. Bill’s stash—but lavish when compared to a serf’s, as is true of all Our Rulers. Why doesn’t this hypocrite donate her $8.75 million before coveting other people’s money?

Second, little more than a year ago, a genetics test that Fauxcahontas herself initiated proved she’s a liar who parlayed one measly ancestor from an indigenous tribe into a professorship. (N.B: most Americans whose families arrived here in the eighteenth or nineteenth centuries can boast of such a forbear.) How is it that this cheat dares show her face, let alone cloaks thievery in jargon and sanctimony? Why aren’t Americans shunning and mocking her? Why aren’t they boycotting a media that covers rather than condemns her? I’m no fan of The Donald, but at least he ridicules this mendacious Marxist.

Gates should take a lesson. And yet he’s running scared. Responding last week to Fauxcahontas’ threats of grand theft, he snivelled, “‘I’ve paid more than anyone in taxes. If I had to pay $20 billion, it’s fine”…

Mr. Bill, your taxes buy the US government more bureaucrats and more programs to destroy my freedom. They supply the NSA with more spooks to eavesdrop on my communications. They hire more Thieves and Sexual Assailants to molest passengers at airports, depriving me of overseas travel and of quick, easy hops around the ol’ Homeland. They purchase propaganda from the Department of Brainwashing–ah, Education and the FCC to whitewash these crimes while fooling many of my friends and family. Thanks in part to you, Mr. Bill, revolt against such revolting tyranny appears unlikely.

And this is only domestically: let’s survey the mischief your opulence funds abroad. It recruits cannon fodder for the US Empire. It then arms those kids to slaughter innocents before they themselves bleed out in some desert waste 6000 miles from home. Believe me, Mr. Bill, if you ever watch parents grieve over a body-bag, you’ll fight to keep every last dollar in your wallet, where it belongs.

Meanwhile, the fodder that survives comes home to join the cops, the TSA, or other occupying forces. And again, the wealth your state and local governments loot from you not only pays those cops to boss or even arrest and cage me, it enlists new ones.

Gates does have his limits, however: he balks “when you say I should pay $100 billion[.] OK, then I’m starting to do a little math about what I have left over…” But he apparently feared he’d gone too far for our latter-day Stalins and added, “I’m just kidding.”

Go ahead and puke while I admonish Mr. Bill. Yo, Jellyfish: you’ve already conceded that the kleptomaniacal State should pick your pockets. Ergo, the predators, not you, decide how much they’ll lift. That’s why a reporter helpfully informs us, “Bill Gates’ net worth currently stands at $106 billion.” Capisce, Mr. Bill? We are to infer that robbing you is perfectly OK. That’s the way the State in general and Marxism in particular works.

Of course, no advocacy of communism is complete unless Bernie Sanders contributes his senseless two cents. “Say Bill Gates was actually taxed $100 billion,” the old coot  “tweeted on Thursday. ‘We could end homelessness and provide safe drinking water to everyone in this country.’”

Um, Coot? The federal government will extort over $3.4 trillion from us this year (scroll to page 117 at the link). That means “we” already have $100 billion—in fact, many multiples of $100 billion. Perhaps handing Leviathan even more bucks is a waste, ya think?

Regrettably, instead of cutting his losses, Mr. Bill also “respond[ed] to a question about whether he would speak with [Fauxcahontas] about his concerns”: “You know, I’m not sure how open-minded she is or that she’d be willing to sit down with someone who has large amounts of money…”

Oh, honestly, Mr. Bill: how did anyone as naive as you become CEO of Microsoft? Fauxcahontas is a politician. And even the most negligible amount of money, to say nothing of assets as sizable as yours, snares politicians more fatally than heroin does addicts: “Warren was eager [oh, I’ll bet] to have a sit-down with the Microsoft billionaire, as she said in a tweet Wednesday. ‘I’m always happy to meet with people, even if we have different views. @BillGates, if we get the chance, I’d love to explain exactly how much you’d pay under my wealth tax. (I promise it’s not $100 billion.)’…”

Yeah, more like $106 billion.

Bill Gates is fond of using his bully pulpit to talk about “miracles” and “magic.” Gates has featured one or both words in nearly all of his annual wrap-up letters for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017), most often in reference to the Gates Foundation’s outsized financial and ideological support for global vaccine programs. As Gates says, “In the same way that during my Microsoft career I talked about the magic of software, I now spend my time talking about the magic of vaccines.”

Gates’s words give us an immediate clue that he is engaging in his own brand of magical thinking—which social scientists define as “illogical causal reasoning.” How else to explain his simplistic endorsement of vaccines as a miraculous intervention with unmitigated benefits and no down side?
