Liberals Believe In Nothing And Remember Even Less

Posted by M. C. on March 31, 2025

What is said between the lines here is there is little difference liberals and so-called conservatives on war.

And planetary interventionism, empire building, spending, social programs, the Constitution, individual rights, privacy…

Caitlin Johnstone

The other day I shared a short post about a video that was going around showing a father in Gaza tearfully cradling the head of his son who was decapitated in an Israeli airstrike, and some guy responded with the comment “Good thing you helped get TRUMP ELECTED!!”

And I must admit I was actually, truly shocked. I mean, what exactly did this fellow think was happening under Biden that whole time?

I saw a post on Twitter where a leftist responded to a liberal who was acting like ICE just suddenly transformed into a modern gestapo under Trump, saying, “Liberals believe in nothing and remember even less.”

And it’s just so true. They don’t believe in anything. They don’t stand for anything. It’s just a team sport for these people. Politics for the mainstream liberal is not about advancing values or building a better world, it’s about their team winning solely for the sake of winning. And because they have no real values or causes beyond winning for its own sake, what their team does when it’s in office doesn’t matter to them.

A Democrat president can be as tyrannical and murderous as he wants and liberals will just brunch away in cheerful obliviousness, content with their knowledge that their team is holding the trophy.

You see this in the way our friend believes that I “helped get Trump elected” by criticizing the people who were perpetrating an active genocide. He just automatically took it as a given that it was my responsibility to stay silent on Gaza because the person in charge was a Democrat and his veep was running for president. The fact that it was a genocide which needed to be ferociously opposed never entered into the equation for him. All he cared about was winning.

What Makes Them Join the Military? Do They Know Whom They Really Serve?

Posted by M. C. on December 7, 2013

I never was in the military. My draft lottery numbers were always good. I didn’t want to die in a snake infested rice paddy or in a tiger cage. My dad was in the Army Air Force during the so-called good war. The Air Force is probably where I would have gone if pressed. Cheap private pilot lessons!

My dad enlisted because his number was coming up. Why do people join today?

A sense of duty, not yet knowing their life plan, a job, free stuff thanks to the GI bill? I am sure there are many reasons.

But whom do today’s GIs serve? Whom are they really protecting? Do most know? I doubt it. Read the rest of this entry »

How is That Empire Thing Going For You?

Posted by M. C. on June 23, 2012

Reading Justin Raimondo’s piece on political candidates got me to thinking about empire building. The US is in the empire building business (though some confuse it with the oil pipeline routing business). No doubt about it. The methodology seems unusual. Take Europe, please. The Huns, Romans and others have occupied Europe to some extent throughout history. Lands were occupied, property taken and people enslaved or made to work for the enrichment of the occupiers. The US occupies land, improves the land (if building military burn pits that pollute with unmatched efficiency can be called improvement-think Subic Bay) and otherwise contributes vastly to the occupied’ s economy. We do this in UK, Germany and some former soviet satellites, all at taxpayer expense. The same is happening in Japan, Australia and Kuwait. We occupy, though the occupied may not realize they are being occupied, and pay for the privilege. Read the rest of this entry »

George Will-Ron Paul is an Isolationist…Say What?

Posted by M. C. on December 8, 2011

George really through me for a loop when I read that in today’s Erie Times News.  There are few if any isolationist countries.  No one country is self-sufficient.  The only ones close are Korea and they are propped up by China and Miyanmar (also known as Burma).  By the way I live in Pennsylvania (also known as Penn’s Woods).   Read the rest of this entry »
