Ocasio-Cortez: I Give ‘Zero’ F–ks About Criticism from Democrats

Occasional Cortex and Colbert apparently went to the same finishing school as R. DiNero.

New York’s vision of the future.

by Joshua Caplan

Appearing on CBS’s Late Show with host Stephen Colbert on Monday evening, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said she gives “zero” fucks about the pushback she has received from challenging establishment Democrats.

COLBERT: For you and some other freshman members of Congress, you’re getting a fair amount of push back, privately and publicly from more established members of even your own party, saying, wait your turn, you know, go slow. Don’t ask for so much, so fast, right now. You’re new, wait your turn for everything and don’t make waves. Now, I want to ask this question in a respectful manner, knowing also that you’re from Queens, so you’ll understand this question —

REP. OCASIO-CORTEZ: And the BX [Bronx].

COLBERT: On a scale from zero to some, how many fucks do you give?

REP. OCASIO-CORTEZ: I think it’s, uh, zero…

Don’t buy long term bonds.

By Tom Elliott

The world is going to end in 12 years unless the government takes action, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) said Monday at a Martin Luther King forum in New York City.

Here’s an excerpt from her interview with Ta-Nehisi Coates:

“And I think the part of it that is generational is that millennials and people, in Gen Z, and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we’re like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change. You’re biggest issue, your biggest issue is how are going to pay for it? — and like this is the war, this is our World War II. And I think for younger people looking at this are more like, how are we saying let’s take it easy when 3,000 Americans died last year, how are we saying let’s take it easy when the end person died from our cruel and unjust criminal justice system?

How are we saying take it easy, the America that we’re living in today is dystopian with people sleeping in their cars so they can work a second job without healthcare and we’re told to settle down. It’s a fundamental separation between that fierce urgency of now, the why we can’t wait that King spoke of. That at some point this chronic reality do reach a breaking point and I think for our generation it reached that, I wished I didn’t have to be doing every post, but sometimes I just feel like people aren’t being held accountable. Until, we start pitching in and holding people accountable, I’m just gonna let them have it.”

Ocasio-Cortez also suggested the federal government should nationalize Tesla’s technology, following the company’s receipt of tax subsidies. [Video]

It’s past time, she said, that the government gets its “due” for this “investment.”

Consider yourself warned.

And they complain about what comes out of Trump’s mouth!

…‘It’s inevitable that we can use the transition to 100% renewable energy as the vehicle to truly deliver and establish economic, social, and racial justice in the United States of America’…

Obviously concussed after falling off her unicorn. Be seeing you

Ocasio-Cortez Gets Hammered After Anti-Israel Remarks, Admitting Ignorance

Posted by M. C. on July 25, 2018

The corollary to Faux Pas (defined as accidentally saying what you really think) is accidentally telling the truth.

Particularly dangerous when speaking about Israel.

Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has received intense backlash after an interview with PBS in which she made comments with anti-Semitic undertones that prompted even left-leaning pundits to express embarrassment over her remarks.

In an interview on PBS’s “Firing Line” with host Margaret Hoover, Ocasio-Cortez called Israel the “occupiers” of Palestine and then fumbled over her words when pressed to explain herself.

After an stumbling attempt to explain her answer, the economics and international relations major eventually conceded that she did not know what she was talking about, saying that she was not “an expert.”

Still, the backlash that she faced online was overwhelming and brutal, with tens of thousands of people responding to Ocasio-Cortez’s disastrous interview. Below are some of the reactions:

And now comes the cornucopia of tweets…
