The Pope Criticizes Libertarianism – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on May 13, 2017

https://lewrockwell.com/2017/05/walter-e-block/pope-criticizes-libertarianism/

At the core of libertarianism is the non-aggression principle (NAP): just law consists, only, of prohibiting the initiation of violence against innocent people. That is it, in its entirety. The remainder of this political economic philosophy deals with logical implications of the foregoing. Thus, in economics we favor laissez-faire capitalism, deregulation, free trade, the only system guaranteed to overcome man’s natural state of poverty. In the area of personal liberties, we support the legalization of (but not at all the engagement in) victimless crimes pertaining to sex, drugs, gambling, etc. And in foreign policy we advocate a strong defense, but non-intervention in the affairs of other nations. It is a very narrow perspective, focusing, only, on just law; it is not at all a philosophy of life.

Does Pope Francis reject any of that? Not at all. Instead, he attacks libertarianism not for what we espouse, but, rather, a made up version of this philosophy of his own devising. He ought to take a course in libertarianism 101 if he wishes to engage our real views, not a parody of them.

Walter Block gives Pope Francis a lesson in Libertarian philosophy.

The Devil’s Pope – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on May 4, 2017

https://lewrockwell.com/2017/05/bionic-mosquito/the-devils-pope/

The pope read many books given to him by his boss at Hickethier-Bachmann Laboratory in Buenos Aires, where he worked.

The “boss” to whom Pope Francis referred is Esther Ballestrino de Careaga. He has described her as a “Paraguayan woman” and a “fervent communist.” He considers her one of his most important mentors. “I owe a huge amount to that great woman,” he has said, saying that she “taught me so much about politics.”

Learning about communism, he said, “through a courageous and honest person was helpful. I realized a few things, an aspect of the social, which I then found in the social doctrine of the Church.”

Is Francis a Fascist? – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on May 1, 2017

https://lewrockwell.com/2017/05/thomas-dilorenzo/is-francis-a-fascist/

Fresh off a hate-filled rant against populism (a.k.a. consent of the governed), Pope Francis recently delivered another mean-spirited, hateful diatribe about the “grave risks associated with the invasion of . . . libertarian individualism at high strata of culture and in university education.”

Over 37 Killed In Two Coptic Christian Church Bombings In Egypt; ISIS Claims Responsibility

Posted by M. C. on April 10, 2017

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-04-09/over-37-killed-two-coptic-christian-church-bombings-northern-egypt-isis-claims-respo

The attacks are the latest in a series of assaults on Egypt’s Christian minority, which makes up around 10% of the population and has been repeatedly targeted by Islamic extremists. They come just one week before Coptic Easter and the same month Pope Francis is scheduled to visit Egypt. The deadly bombing take place as the Islamic State branch in Egypt appears to be stepping up attacks and threats against Christians.  In February, Christian families and students fled Egypt’s North Sinai province after a spate of targeted killings. Francis’ Popemobile To Stop at UN

Posted by M. C. on June 16, 2015

Pope Francis has made it quite clear he is a socialist, anti-capitalist, re-distributionist.  Where is the universal pulpit for those such as him?  Why the UN of course.  That is just where Francis is headed.

Climate change  appears to be pegged as a legacy issue for Francis.  Climate change is a largely manmade phenomenon.  He doesn’t know how but he knows it is the truth.

When the UN bottom feeding, social leaches start on climate change there is only one thing on their collective mind.  Put a ball and chain on US industry and make the US pay to allow everyone else to catch up.

By the by-As of 2010 the Popemobile gets 12.5 mpg.

The Pope – Weather or Not

Posted by M. C. on January 25, 2015

Feb 20 Erie Times

Pope Francis wants the November UN climate change talks in Paris to further convince the heathens that man is the primary cause of climate change. “I don’t know if (human activity)is the only cause, but mostly, in great part, it is man…”.

Read that again: I don’t know if (human activity)is the only cause. Pope Francis feels it is possible that man is the only cause of climate change.

Apparently Francis has never heard of the sun. I would like to hear his explanation of the 950-1250 AD great warming period and the subsequent little ice age. Read the rest of this entry »

Pope Francis and Obama Think Alike About Wealth Redistribution

Posted by M. C. on May 11, 2014

The Pope has come out in favor of “legitimate” wealth redistribution.
There is only one form of “legitimate” wealth redistribution and that is the free market.  The redistribution Pope Francis and Obama have in mind is the government controlled variety.
Commonly referred to as taxes and theft. Read the rest of this entry »
