Is Europe Too Brainwashed To Normalize Relations With Russia? – PaulCraigRoberts.org

When the West accuses Russia of “destabilizing behavior,” the West is saying that it is Russia’s independence that is destabilizing Washington’s world order. Russia is regarded as a destabilizing entity, because Putin does not accept Washington’s hegemony.

Judging from statements made by G-7 leaders at the recent meeting, President Trump’s application of US sanctions to Europe and disregard of European interests, just as Washington dismisses every country’s interests except Israel’s, has not caused Europeans to disassociate from Washington’s hostility to Russia. All the Very Serious People are tweeting and retweeting this “iconic” photo of Trump surrounded by the Euro-weenies, with Angela Merkel seeming to lecture the President while the rest of our faithless “allies” look on. It’s “America Alone” –   the visual representation of the internationalist worldview: Trump’s policy of “America First” is “isolating” us, and, according to clueless leftists like Michael Moore, Merkel is now the “leader” of the “free world.”

This last is good news indeed, for if Merkel is the new leader of the “free world” then the stationing of 35,000 US troops in Germany – at a cost of billions annually – is no longer required and we can bring them home. This also means Germany, rather than the US, will be sending troops all over the world to fight “terrorism” – a move that is sure to cause consternation in certain regions with a history of German intervention, but hey, somebody has to do it! European governments do not realize their potential to save the world from Washington’s aggression, because the western Europeans are accustomed to being Washington’s vassal states since the end of World War 2, and the eastern and central Europeans have accepted Washington’s vassalage since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Russia, China eclipse US in hypersonic missiles, prompting fears

We spend more than the next ten highest foreign defense budgets put together. That includes Russia and China.

The standard government solution is spend even more.

If we are behind in defense capability it is not the fault of the “austere” budget. We spend too much getting pounded by countries barely out of the stone age and building floating dinosaurs susceptible to China’s carrier killer cruise missiles.

Russia and China are outpacing the United States in the development of super-fast missile technology, Pentagon officials and key lawmakers are warning.

Russia says it successfully tested a so-called hypersonic missile this month, while China tested a similar system last year expected to enter service soon.

“Right now, we’re helpless,” Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in advocating for more investment in hypersonics, along with missile defense.

Hypersonics are generally defined as missiles that can fly more than five times the speed of sound…

Marine Le Pen: I know the EU is waging a Cold War against Russia – Here’s Why – RussiaFeed

I suspect Marine Le Pen was France’s last best chance for survival.

Any chance the UK and Europe have surviving a confrontation with Russia, military or otherwise, consists of US military lives and US tax dollars. Remember that when you hear European leaders talking big.

“It’s a strategy of building a wall separating Russia and the European Union. I know from my own experience of work in the European Parliament that the European Union is conducting a real Cold War against Russia,” Le Pen said.

Le Pen isn’t the only French citizen tired of this Cold War against Russia. The French Ambassador spoke explaining to the US that France does not wish to be a part of the US-Russia exterritorial sanctions regime. Reminds one of the NSA/FIB skills in missing Russian election “meddling” for years, missing the Boston Marathon bombers, 9/11, a Florida school shooter handed them on a silver platter…in Erie PA the FIB raided the home of the founder of Mother’s Against Teen Violence (MATV). Her son was murdered 10 years ago. No explanation offered. Apparently small game season has opened.

Which brings us back to General ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis. He is quite right that so-called terrorists (that’s anyone who actively opposes the Lex Americana) pose no real life or death threat to the US mainland.

But if so, how then to maintain the $1 trillion US military budget? Well, of course, trot out those good old ‘Reds Under Our Beds.’ Actually, the Pentagon has been planning a new war with China for the past three years, a mainly air and naval conflict to dominate China’s coasts and seas. The Pentagon is loading up on new aircraft, missiles, satellites and naval craft for the next Pacific War, and trying to enlist India as an ally against China.

Don’t Be a Moron: Russia Didn’t Attack US Troops in Syria

On February 16, 2018, Bloomberg’s Eli Lake published an article entitled “Don’t Be Fooled: Russia Attacked U.S. Troops in Syria.”

For context, the U.S.-led coalition conducted air and artillery strikes against what was believed to be pro-government forces in Syria on February 7, 2018, in response to an “unprovoked attack” launched by these pro-regime forces. Not long after, reports began emerging that significant numbers of Russian personnel were included in the over 100 dead and wounded, though Russia denied this at first. As the evidence began to mount, the accepted version of events on both sides was that those involved were Russian mercenaries and contractors, not official troops. Read the rest of this entry »
