Philosophical Musings of this Writer in this Time of Traumatic Sophistry –

Posted by M. C. on January 27, 2022

With collectivism, the individual necessarily becomes irrelevant, and can only feel whole when a part of the herd. Considering the tyrannical agendas of the State, this collective phenomenon is much desired, as the political becomes reality; therefore, steering all policy without any regard or consideration for the individual. This of course leads to chaos and total moral decay.

“A philosopher operates with deductions. A sophist operates with paradoxes. A “public intellectual” operates with buzzwords.”

Jakub Bozydar Wisniewski, Mises Institute

~ Man is the ultimate threat to man, and the true danger to the future. Nature guarantees this concept, and disassociation through collective destruction of the individual allows for an end to individual purpose. The answer to altering this reality then, seems uncomplicated, as in order for humanity to live and prosper, to love and understand beauty, to strive for a peaceful and fulfilling existence, and to be free, depends on each to know himself, and to demand his life and unique and singular presence as his own.

~ Embrace inner thought, embrace truth, and then embrace the fact that no external rules can change the psyche of the individual man.

~ Suicide is thought to be a way to escape a life that has little meaning. Given that man can only perceive as certain and prove that life leads to death, he has a choice to make. That choice is to fully accept life and all it brings, or commit physical or philosophic suicide. If all life is predicated on an unknown afterlife, it becomes an untenable effort to just survive instead of living fully, in hopes of finding some future finality of nirvana. With acceptance of self, and an effort to find the true spirit inside, life becomes much more than just constant suffering and disappointment, and turns into a joyous experience that conceivably could last forever.

~ The larger the crowd, the less important the individual, which can only lead to the extinction of love and beauty, and the infinite nature of the individual intellect. Uniformity as normal brings a feeling of insignificance for the individual, stifles thought, and brings darkness instead of light. An awakening can only truly occur and exist when balance between the conscious and subconscious is apparent, and an escape from perception takes place, leaving reality more exposed, and the unknown more sought.

~ With collectivism, the individual necessarily becomes irrelevant, and can only feel whole when a part of the herd. Considering the tyrannical agendas of the State, this collective phenomenon is much desired, as the political becomes reality; therefore, steering all policy without any regard or consideration for the individual. This of course leads to chaos and total moral decay.

~ Once a societal mass is formed, all valid intellectual function disappears in favor of a total loss of consciousness, leading to despair, lack of self-awareness, and confidence, which in turn leads to domination by default. Because of this dynamic, all who seek the group become the group, and in the process are completely susceptible to oppression. The building of this tower of sameness breeds weakness and uncertainty, and a desire to seek the safety of a monopolized control which could be referred to as the comfort of mediocrity.

~ Sometimes the obvious is so apparent as to become nearly invisible. A great false threat is created and then used to confuse and frighten the masses, causing the herd to flee, just as is the case of all flight animals in the wild. But the human animal has the ability, whether exercised or not, to think and reason, so why is this gift tossed aside during times of strife; times when it is most needed? Maybe it is due to a lack of understanding of self, and a dependence on others, especially on those dishonestly claiming to be ‘leaders.’ When each takes his own way instead of relying on false prophets, the tables are turned in favor of a more enlightened and valuable outcome, and a return to right.

~ “Man’s inhumanity to man” has caused mass pain, suffering, and death, and for what reason no one knows. It is at once incomprehensible and at the same time expected, and this should not be so. Contradiction at this level is beyond confusing, but then man has always been the epitome of imperfection; a conundrum to be sure considering what are said to be the inherent and basic beliefs held by much of the human species. A species supposedly seeking harmony while consumed by conflict cannot survive, and as Robert Burns so skillfully described:

“Many and sharp the num’rous ills
Inwoven with our frame!
More pointed still we make ourselves
Regret, remorse, and shame!
And Man, whose heav’n-erected face
The smiles of love adorn, –
Man’s inhumanity to man
Makes countless thousands mourn!”

~ What is the answer; I do not know? Why is man so terribly bent on his own destruction; I do not know? Why does man’s inhumanity to man forever subsist; I do not know? I do know that for inner peace and tranquility to exist, and therefore for humanity to peacefully exist together, that one must act alone, meaning all should act alone as individuals in favor of harmony, love, and non-aggression. This means that the ‘State’ should end, and the individual should reign.

“TO the States or any one of them, or any city of the States, Resist

much, obey little,

Once unquestioning obedience, once fully enslaved,

Once fully enslaved, no nation, state, city of this earth, ever after-ward

resumes its liberty.“

Walt Whitman — “Leaves of Grass”

Who Will Save You From This Insane Tyranny? Only You Have the Power To Save Yourself – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on January 15, 2022

By Gary D. Barnett

“In the last analysis, the essential thing is the life of the individual. This alone makes history, here alone do the great transformations take place, and the whole future, the whole history of the world, ultimately springs as a gigantic summation from this hidden source in individuals.”

Carl Gustav Jung

Here we are in an age of fear and excuses; an age of collective madness that strives for the death of the individual. Little do the masses know, as the end of individuality is the end of man. The crowd can destroy us, but the individual can save us. The idea of self then is the savior of humanity, for all efforts that rely on the masses as a whole to awaken to the idea of freedom will fail, as the mass will never act to free itself until it is too late.

While this thinking may seem defeatist, it is not, it is simply the way of human nature to hide from the truth. The few can change the world, but the common man who simply exists in life instead of living beyond life, cannot even save himself. In order for any true awakening of mind and spirit to take place, a rebirth brought about by a deep understanding of the inner psyche is necessary; requiring a personal and visceral activation of individual consciousness. This is not a learned behavior, and it is does not come from any perceived physical or personal experience, it is innate. Rarely is this awareness of the subconscious self, experienced by the common man, as it is reserved for those who have the strength and courage to look deep inside and not only face themselves, but also to accept what they find. Once this occurs, truth becomes evident, and fear disappears.

Considering our current circumstances, the more who separate from the crowd in order to find self, the more who are likely to disobey and dissent. It does not take huge numbers for the fight for freedom to survive and prosper, it takes only a minority of very courageous individuals to turn this tide of tyranny. The masses collectively will not win this battle, and in fact will hamper all efforts due to their indifference, but the few awakened can move mountains. If the few become greater in number, the evil can be defeated.

The state’s answer to the strong and awake is to corrupt the minds and bodies of as many people as possible. By gaining the cooperation of the masses, the ruling monsters can pit them against the very individuals with the power to save them. Many tools are being used to accomplish this destruction of the individual psyche, not the least of which is this deadly, poisonous, and body and gene-altering bioweapon called the ‘Covid vaccine.’ Psychological torture is rampant, and has been extremely effective in gaining the acquiescence of the herd, due mostly to unfounded fear. Because of this, most have complied with very totalitarian orders and mandates meant to subdue that bulk of society too weak to fight against this obvious fraud.

Extreme propaganda, false flags, emergency declarations, lockdowns, social distancing, mandated mask wearing, threats, fearmongering, job loss, forced business closures, massive inflation, limitless intimidation, staged and allowed violence, sickness, and much death have been the result of the state’s efforts to repress and control this society. When stress due to fear reaches these levels, the people’s ability to fight back is not enhanced as might be expected, but is vastly weakened. This is known by those evil enough to pursue this agenda of gaining more power in order to subdue and control the majority. When this happens, the real enemy that is the state, pretends to become the savior, and all those attempting to refute the lies become the enemy of the people. This is a true inversion of reality, and controlled perception becomes a real-world media phenomenon, based only on the mass hypnosis of the crowd. As sad as it is, this has been a successful effort by the controlling element of society, and one that threatens the very essence of man.

Considering all that has happened, it is obvious that the deadly fake injection is the most sought-after control method being used by the evil ‘master’ class today. This is why in light of the fact that they are worthless in any effort to control any so-called sickness or disease, and that they are so gravely dangerous, that they are being forced on this and other populations with such vigor. The technology available to those making, administering, and demanding acceptance of these toxic concoctions, is at this point fantastical, and what is being told to the ‘public’ is only a minor snippet of the actual technology available. These are bioweapons meant to change the body, mind, and genetic structure of its victims, including injecting substances that allow for mind control, and can maim and kill as well.

Depopulation is a large part of the state’s agenda, but the submission of the rest is necessary as well in order for long term control of large populations. The proposed injection attack planned for all children is vitally important to the ruling class, because if the injection of these bioweapons into the majority of children from the very young through adolescence can be accomplished, the future belongs to the state. The push to inject the children will not go away on its own, because that is the most important aspect of the plan for future control of humanity. Innocent children and the old and weak are the most vulnerable among us. Should this conspiratorial plot continue to gain success, many of the old will be killed or will die due to the shots, and the young can be fully restrained, supervised, and dominated through artificial methods for many years to come. This is what we face, and why it is so imperative that we stand against the tyranny as aware individuals, never allowing this takeover of mankind to see the light of day.

“No price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself”

Friedrich Nietzsche

The Greatest Gift for All – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on December 24, 2021

Christianity’s emphasis on the worth of the individual makes such power as Lenin claimed, and Washington now claims, unthinkable. Be we religious or be we not, our celebration of Christ’s birthday celebrates a religion that made us masters of our souls and of our political life on Earth. Such a religion as this is worth holding on to even by atheists.

Christmas is a time of traditions. If you have found time in the rush before Christmas to decorate a tree, you are sharing in a relatively new tradition. Although the Christmas tree has ancient roots, at the beginning of the 20th century only 1 in 5 American families put up a tree. It was 1920 before the Christmas tree became the hallmark of the season. Calvin Coolidge was the first President to light a national Christmas tree on the White House lawn.

Gifts are another shared custom. This tradition comes from the wise men or three kings who brought gifts to baby Jesus. When I was a kid, gifts were more modest than they are now, but even then people were complaining about the commercialization of Christmas. We have grown accustomed to the commercialization. Christmas sales are the backbone of many businesses. Gift giving causes us to remember others and to take time from our harried lives to give them thought. The decorations and gifts of Christmas are one of our connections to a Christian culture that has held Western civilization together for 2,000 years.

In our culture the individual counts. This permits an individual person to put his or her foot down, to take a stand on principle, to become a reformer and to take on injustice.

This empowerment of the individual is unique to Western civilization. It has made the individual a citizen equal in rights to all other citizens, protected from tyrannical government by the rule of law and free speech. These achievements are the products of centuries of struggle, but they all flow from the teaching that God so values the individual’s soul that he sent his son to die so we might live. By so elevating the individual, Christianity gave him a voice.

Formerly only those with power had a voice. But in Western civilization people with integrity have a voice. So do people with a sense of justice, of honor, of duty, of fair play. Reformers can reform, investors can invest, and entrepreneurs can create commercial enterprises, new products and new occupations.

The result was a land of opportunity. The United States attracted immigrants who shared our values and reflected them in their own lives. Our culture was absorbed by a diverse people who became one.

In recent decades we have lost sight of the historic achievement that empowered the individual. The religious, legal and political roots of this great achievement are no longer reverently taught in high schools, colleges and universities or respected by our government. The voices that reach us through the millennia and connect us to our culture are being silenced by “Identity Politics,” “political correctness,” “critical race theory” and the war against “white culture.” Prayer has been driven from schools and Christian religious symbols from public life.

Christianity is being gradually marginalized. Each year it becomes more difficult to find a Christmas card that says “Merry Christmas” instead of “Seasons Greetings.” In place of Christmas carols we get Hollywood Christmas songs. In some churches Christianity is being transmuted into Christian Zionism and the worship of Israel. Others fly LGBTQ and BLM flags. We are approaching a time when a Christian Christmas cannot be celebrated as it is not inclusive in a diverse society and therefore is politically incorrect if not a hate crime.

Constitutional protections have been diminished by hegemonic political ambitions. Indefinite detention, torture, and murder are now acknowledged practices of the United States government. The historic achievement of due process has been rolled back. Tyranny has re-emerged.

Diversity at home and hegemony abroad are consuming values and are dismantling the culture and the rule of law. There is plenty of room for cultural diversity in the world, but not within a single country. A Tower of Babel has no culture. A person cannot be a Christian one day, a pagan the next and a Muslim the day after. A hodgepodge of cultural and religious values provides no basis for law – except the raw power of the pre-Christian past.

All Americans have a huge stake in Christianity. Whether or not we are individually believers in Christ, we are beneficiaries of the moral doctrine that has curbed power and protected the weak. Power is the horse ridden by evil. In the 20th century the horse was ridden hard, and the 21st century shows an increase in pace. Millions of people were exterminated in the 20th century by wars that served the ambitions of political leaders and ideological movements. Many were murdered simply because they were members of a class or race that had been demonized by intellectuals and political authority. In the beginning years of the 21st century, hundreds of thousands of Muslims in seven countries have been murdered and millions displaced in order to serve the neoconservatives’ agenda of extending Washington and Israel’s hegemony.

Power that is secularized and cut free of civilizing traditions is not limited by moral and religious scruples. V.I. Lenin made this clear when he defined the meaning of his dictatorship as “unlimited power, resting directly on force, not limited by anything.”

Washington’s drive for hegemony over US citizens and the rest of the world is based entirely on the exercise of force and is resurrecting unaccountable power.

As we enter into 2022, Western civilization, the product of thousands of years of striving, is in decline. Degeneracy is everywhere before our eyes. As the West sinks into tyranny and degeneracy, will Western peoples defend their liberty and their souls, or will they sink into the tyranny, which again has raised its ugly and all devouring head?

Paul Craig Roberts, a former Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury and former associate editor of the Wall Street Journal, has been reporting shocking cases of prosecutorial abuse for two decades. A new edition of his book, The Tyranny of Good Intentions, co-authored with Lawrence Stratton, a documented account of how americans lost the protection of law, has been released by Random House. Should the Government Keep People from Harming Themselves? – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on December 22, 2021

The individual is sovereign, not the state or society.

By Laurence M. Vance

“The only freedom which deserves the name is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it. Each is the proper guardian of his own health, whether bodily, or mental and spiritual. Mankind are greater gainers by suffering each other to live as seems good to themselves, than by compelling each to live as seems good to the rest.” ~ John Stuart Mill

“Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.” ~ Ronald Reagan

Is keeping people from harming themselves a legitimate function of government? The government certainly thinks so, and many people would agree.

Here are three recent unrelated news stories with different degrees of potential or actual government intervention.

A twenty-year-old college student in Massachusetts died after participating in a hot dog eating contest to raise money for breast cancer research. Although I like hot dogs, I have never been a participant. I have, however, seen events like this on television. Whenever something bad happens at one of these events, and even sometimes when nothing bad happens except an upset stomach and diarrhea, there are always calls for government to ban competitive eating contests. Although earlier this year, China banned competitive eating contests, I have not seen governments in the United States do it—yet.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued voluntary guidance to help Americans reduce their sodium intake. “Excess sodium consumption is a contributory factor in the development of hypertension, which is a leading cause of heart disease and stroke, the first and

fifth leading causes of death in the United States, respectively.” The FDA wants to limit the amount of sodium that restaurants and grocery manufacturers can add to the foods you buy so that you don’t consume more than 3,000 milligrams of sodium per day.

I had never heard of comedian Kate Quigley until I read that she landed in the hospital and three of her friends died from an “accidental” overdose of cocaine and fentanyl at a party in California. Although cocaine and fentanyl are both illegal, the U.S. government and drug warriors are obsessed with the dangers of fentanyl right now. “Fentanyl is killing and wrecking average Americans,” says Kevin Kosar, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). Based on data from The Commonwealth Fund, he claims that “more than 50,000 Americans died from it last year alone.”

Although unrelated, these three events have something in common: They all relate in some way to the notion of government keeping people from harming themselves. Should the government keep people from harming themselves? Absolutely not, and for two reasons.

First of all, keeping people from harming themselves is an illegitimate function of government. In the words of men wiser than me:

I would have government defend the life and property of all citizens equally; protect all willing exchange; suppress and penalize all fraud, all misrepresentation, all violence, all predatory practices; invoke a common justice under law; and keep the records incidental to these functions. Even this is a bigger assignment than governments, generally, have proven capable of. Let governments do these things and do them well. Leave all else to men in free and creative effort. ~ Leonard Read

Government is instituted to protect property of every sort; as well that which lies in the various rights of individuals, as that which the term particularly expresses. This being the end of government, that alone is a just government which impartially secures to every man whatever is his own. ~ James Madison

And second, a man’s body belongs to himself—not you, not me, not society, not the state, not some governmental agency, not some puritanical busybody, not some government bureaucrat, and not some nanny statist. And if a man’s body belongs to himself, then he can do what he wants with it.

What these things mean is that no government at any level has any businesses keeping people from consuming any substance or engaging in any activity that may bring them harm. The government should not attempt to prevent people from ingesting or injecting any unsafe, risky, dangerous, harmful, or deadly substance—or punish people for doing so. The government should not attempt to prevent people from overeating, getting obese, starving themselves, eating an unhealthy diet, practicing unsafe sex, getting drunk or stoned, overdosing on liquor or drugs, mutilating themselves, or committing suicide—or punish people for doing so.

Should family, friends, groups, employers, organizations, and other interested parties seek to prevent people from doing these things? Of course they should, but only with reason and persuasion, not with threats, coercion, or violence. Those are the tools of government.

I began with John Stuart Mill and can end with him as well:

The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others. His own good, either physical or moral is not sufficient warrant. He cannot rightfully be compelled to do or forbear because it will be better for him to do so, because it will make him happier, because, in the opinions of others, to do so would be wise, or even right. These are good reasons for remonstrating with him, or reasoning with him, or persuading him, or entreating him, but not for compelling him, or visiting him with any evil, in case he do otherwise. To justify that, the conduct from which it is desired to deter him must be calculated to produce evil to some one else. The only part of the conduct of any one, for which he is amenable to society, is that which concerns others. In the part which merely concerns himself, his independence is, of right, absolute. Over himself, over his own body and mind, the individual is sovereign.

The individual is sovereign, not the state or society.
