Middle East Foreign Policy and The Christian Right

Posted by M. C. on August 11, 2012

Take Egypt. The State Department team of Clinton and Biden went from saying all was fine, to we are behind Mubarak all the way, to Hosni-You’re toast. All within just a few weeks. We were behind the freedom and democracy seekers that took over. These seekers turned out to be the Muslim Brotherhood. All we heard on the news was that the Brotherhood would take over. The vacuous State Department was hoping the obvious outcome wouldn’t happen. The Brothers are hardcore Islamists. It makes you wonder what our government and certainly the Clinton/Biden/McCain war team use for brains.

All these color revolutions the US is backing are composed of Islamists. The Freedom Fighters in Syria are Al Qaeda and Al Qaeda sympathizers though you wouldn’t know it by listening to the lamestream media. We  support them by funneling arms through our puppets Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Iran and Syria are Shia, considered wimps by hardcore Sunnis. Sunnis want to crush the Shia. Al Qaeda is playing US against Al Qaeda’s Shia/secularist enemies. The US is Islam’s fool. Sunnis will take over Syria. We will be in perpetual war in Iran, taking them out of the picture. Bin Laden wins.

Justin Raimondo in asks a good question. All these faux friends we support are Islamists taking pleasure in persecuting Christians, Coptic Christians in Egypt being the most familiar.  Where is the Christian right?

In Libya, where a supposedly “secular” party won a plurality in the elections after US-backed rebels took power, one of their first public pronouncements was to disavow the secular label — and reinstate polygamy.

Asked whether it was the Free Syrian Army that was telling Christians to get out, Agnes Miriam, Mother Superior of the Monastery of St. James at Qara in the Diocese of Homs, said, ‘Yes … it was the commander on the ground, Abdel Salam Harba, who decided that there was to be no more negotiations with Christians.’ She said Christians refused to back the rebels, so the rebels used them as human shields.”

Human Shields-Where are the moral majority, the evangelicals, Pat Robertson, Rick Santorum, Jerry Falwell, Jesse Jackson?

Where is the State Department? They are busy hiding the evidence. Their Country Reports on Human Rights no longer lists religious violations against Christians.

Why the silence from the religion corner. The only thing I can come up with is they think they will get a cut of the pie and hope to wield some evangelical power over those Al Qaeda chomping at the bit to be converted. Liberals and certainly this administration have been hostile to organized religion. Just ask your local orthodox Catholic. Obama will be keeping all the pie.

Christian big wigs are asleep at the switch and don’t have a clue, like most of the sheeple waiting for the (small) “change” they were promised.

Be seeing you
