Astonishing bias: 452 Islamic terror attacks in 31 countries just THIS YEAR (so far) and zero coverage from the media – NaturalNews.com

Posted by M. C. on March 22, 2019

https://www.naturalnews.com/2019-03-20-islamic-attacks-gets-zero-coverage-from-media.html

(Natural News) The vast majority of Americans have come to expect biased coverage from the so-called “mainstream media,” and what’s more, they have come to expect that coverage will be designed to advance the Democrats’ Left-wing agenda.

That’s according to some of the most recent polling data available.

But additional evidence also supports the contention that what the media tends to cover aren’t subjects that are of vital interest or importance to most Americans, and that the media covers ‘narratives’ it helps create, failing — intentionally — to give equal weight to similar stories.

The most recent example involves how American journalists initially covered the terrorist attack in New Zealand. Immediately after news of the attack first broke, the Democrat-aligned media filled their airwaves and bandwidth with far-Left pundits and politicians, as well as their own hosts and reporters, who were all quick to blame POTUS Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim “rhetoric.”

In the days that followed, the same Left-wing media outlets hammered on the narrative that 28-year-old alleged attacker Brenton Tarrant is a “white nationalist” and “right-wing extremist” who hates Muslims — as though only white, right-wing extremists are behaving as terrorists these days and the only people they are murdering are people of Islamic faith.

The fact is, however, that by far, the bulk of terrorist attacks this year — and in recent years — have been committed by Muslim extremists, and often against followers of other faiths. But our media doesn’t often report those and when they do, reports are quick, superficial, and fact-based. No narratives, no outraged guest analysts, and no lecturing, finger-wagging hosts. (Related: How the media distorts the New Zealand shooting to protect radical Muslim jihadis while demonizing white people.)

As reported by Natural News:

On January 27, Muslim extremists bombed a Roman Catholic cathedral on the Philippine island of Jolo, killing some 20 people and injuring dozens of others. But you probably didn’t hear about this horrific religious massacre because the perpetrators were violent Islamic terrorists that targeted Christians, which means the Leftist media pretty much completely ignored it...

Is an FBI Interview a G-Man’s License to Lie? | RealClearInvestigations

Your FIB in action

https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2019/03/18/is_an_fbi_interview_a_g-mans_license_to_lie_later.html

At 10:38 on the morning of Feb. 4, 2019, the deputy for United States District Judge Amy Berman Jackson said, “Good morning, Your Honor. This is a sealed proceeding, and the courtroom has been locked.”

Paul Manafort: no transcript, video or audio of what he was accused by Robert Mueller’s team of lying about.

It was a hearing at which lawyers for Special Counsel Robert Mueller would argue that Paul Manafort had lied to them during 12 interviews, both before and after striking his plea bargain on foreign lobbying and money laundering charges. We know what was said behind those locked doors because a word-for-word transcript was made of the courtroom proceedings.

Strangely, there was no such transcript of what Manafort had said in his interviews. This made it difficult to reconstruct what his responses to questioning had been, let alone determine whether they were truthful.

But if there was no transcript, surely the court could consult a videotape of his interrogation, the sort of recording that is standard practice for local police who are interviewing, say, a suspected car thief. And if there was no videotape for the judge to watch, surely there was, at the very least, an audiotape.

But no. The bureau has insisted instead, for more than half a century, on summarizing its interrogations, of everyone from witnesses to targets, in a type of memo designated an FD-302 or just “302.” Those memos have been used in recent high-profile investigations to summarize the statements of Manafort, Hillary Clinton, and former national security adviser Michael Flynn, among others. Many were shocked to learn that Clinton’s interview with the FBI about her handling of classified emails was not tape-recorded. They may be more shocked to learn that is standard FBI procedure.

How to Blow $700 Billion – Rolling Stone

Posted by M. C. on March 22, 2019

And this is just what we know about…

https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/how-to-blow-700-billion-809465/

According to a study led by Michigan State University professor Mark Skidmore, some $21 trillion in Pentagon accounting transactions, made over a 17-year period, lack supporting data. This doesn’t mean the money is gone — the Pentagon only received roughly $9.2 trillion in budget money during that time — but it does mean the system is so choked with bad numbers, we have little idea of what mischief might be taking place at the Department of Defense.

Here’s a brief list of some of the problems likely lurking in the Pentagon’s books.

For more, check out this month’s feature story: The Pentagon’s Bottomless Money Pit.

Double-Billing

An alarmingly simple scheme. As Andy the Air Force accountant puts it: “A contractor accidentally invoices the military twice. It gets paid twice.” For example, one company got paid in full for delivering just 28 percent of a lug-nut contract; or the Swiss contractor that supposedly over-billed by $757 million to supply the troops in Afghanistan.

Misappropriation

There have been multiple cases involving officials taking advantage of flaws in the Pentagon’s system over the years. One Air Force sergeant ended up sending 17 checks worth $436,684 to a co-conspirator. A civilian secretary bilked the Air Force out of $1.4 million for more than a decade before anyone noticed.

Bribery…

McCain and the POW Cover-Up | The American Conservative

Posted by M. C. on March 22, 2019

How many times do I have to repeat this?

https://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/mccain-and-the-pow-cover-up/

By Sydney Schanberg •

Eighteen months ago, TAC publisher Ron Unz discovered an astonishing account of the role the 2008 Republican presidential nominee, John McCain, had played in suppressing information about what happened to American soldiers missing in action in Vietnam. Below, we present in full Sydney Schanberg’s explosive story.

* * *

John McCain, who has risen to political prominence on his image as a Vietnam POW war hero, has, inexplicably, worked very hard to hide from the public stunning information about American prisoners in Vietnam who, unlike him, didn’t return home. Throughout his Senate career, McCain has quietly sponsored and pushed into federal law a set of prohibitions that keep the most revealing information about these men buried as classified documents. Thus the war hero who people would logically imagine as a determined crusader for the interests of POWs and their families became instead the strange champion of hiding the evidence and closing the books.

Almost as striking is the manner in which the mainstream press has shied from reporting the POW story and McCain’s role in it, even as the Republican Party has made McCain’s military service the focus of his presidential campaign. Reporters who had covered the Vietnam War turned their heads and walked in other directions. McCain doesn’t talk about the missing men, and the press never asks him about them.

The sum of the secrets McCain has sought to hide is not small. There exists a telling mass of official documents, radio intercepts, witness depositions, satellite photos of rescue symbols that pilots were trained to use, electronic messages from the ground containing the individual code numbers given to airmen, a rescue mission by a special forces unit that was aborted twice by Washington—and even sworn testimony by two Defense secretaries that “men were left behind.” This imposing body of evidence suggests that a large number—the documents indicate probably hundreds—of the U.S. prisoners held by Vietnam were not returned when the peace treaty was signed in January 1973 and Hanoi released 591 men, among them Navy combat pilot John S. McCain.

Mass of Evidence

The Pentagon had been withholding significant information from POW families for years. What’s more, the Pentagon’s POW/MIA operation had been publicly shamed by internal whistleblowers and POW families for holding back documents as part of a policy of “debunking” POW intelligence even when the information was obviously credible…

BREAKING NEWS: Trump says U.S. should recognize Golan Heights as part of Israel as Netanyahu accuses Iran of trying to set up terror network there — and prepares for White House visit Monday

Posted by M. C. on March 21, 2019

Wrong! After 52 years it is time the Israel recognizes this-

USS Liberty

Israel will take what it wants. It doesn’t need nor deserve US approval.

The US congress always enjoys AIPAC conferences, not to mention the cash foreign policy advice. They like the taste of Israeli shoe leather.

Tough on the knees though.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6835799/Trump-says-U-S-recognize-Golan-Heights-Israel.html

By David Martosko

  • The Golan Heights are 690 square miles of territory that Israel annexed in 1981 after winning it from Syria in the 1967 Six-Day War
  • The United Nations has never recognized Israeli sovereignty there
  • Donald Trump said Thursday on Twitter that it’s time for the U.S. to do so
  • Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to meet with Trump on Monday in Washington and to speak at the AIPAC conference
  • The Golan Heights decision will be seen as a seismic move akin to repositioning America’s embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem

‘After 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!’ Trump tweeted…

Chicago’s Democratic socialists on brink of transforming city’s politics

Posted by M. C. on March 21, 2019

The US is in a hole and digging deeper.

It is looking more like we can’t climb out. When Sean Penn comes to visit Chicago you its cooked.

I think Ray Bradbury covered this situation somewhere in the Martian Chronicles. Freedom lovers emigrated to Mars. The native Martians ended up much like Australian aborigines and American Indians.

In the end the cycle started over.

Chi-Town mayor has been non stop Democratic since 1933. They think pure, uncut socialism (really communism) will help? Apparently.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/mar/21/chicago-democratic-socialists-city-council-rossana-rodriguez

Six Democratic socialists may join city council this year, reflecting the progressive momentum in national politics

Democratic socialist Rossana Rodriguez never thought she would run for office, let alone win.

But the Chicago educator and community activist may be poised to do just that after forcing a runoff in her 33rd ward aldermanic race against incumbent Deb Mell last month, making her one of six democratic socialists who could potentially join city council this year.

That shock number of openly declared socialists set to join Chicago politics comes at a time when socialism is increasingly visible in national US politics, led by the socialist senator Bernie Sanders running for president and socialist New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez becoming one the most high-profile politicians in the House of Representatives.

But the trend is happening at a local level, too, with the emergence of socialists in Chicago politics a reflection of the progressive momentum Rodriguez and other socialist candidates say could “transform” the way this city operates…

Delingpole: RIP the British ‘Bobby’ – Murdered by PC Lunacy

Posted by M. C. on March 21, 2019

Parliment needs to remind itself of the saying ‘when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging’.

The Bobbies should be embarrassed but I doubt it, after all this is the UK.

https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2019/03/20/transgender-lunacy-has-killed-the-british-bobby/

By James Delingpole

The traditional British bobby used to be a great source of quiet national pride: a country so peaceable and safe that all it needed to keep law and order were a few policemen armed with nothing but a truncheon, an avuncular demeanour and helmets like elongated tits on their head.

Not any more though. Especially not after the quite outrageous, ludicrous and nationally shaming incident this week in which British police actually investigated a journalist for “misgendering” a transsexual.

Misgendering is a word that barely deserves to be in the vocabulary, let alone on a police list of potentially criminal offences. It means using the wrong pronoun to refer to someone who has had a sex change. So, for example, if I decide to get the chop and call myself Jane Delingpole in order to enjoy the myriad advantages conferred these days on anyone claiming to be a member of the sisterhood, you’ll have to refer to me using the pronoun “she” – or you’ll face the full force of the law.

The mind boggles at how incredibly petty minded you’d have to be to report someone to the police for using an incorrect pronoun.

But the far bigger villains of this piece are the police themselves, in this case Surrey Police – allegedly acting on a complaint from Susie Green, mother of someone who used to be a boy called Jack but is now a girl called Jackie. It seems that Mrs Green may have been upset at something said by journalist Caroline Farrow…

I just think we need to focus on this occasion on just how shamingly misguided and PC the British police has become, at least at the level of the senior officers making these stupid decisions (which I gather the rank and file find very embarrassing)…

It would be nice to hear from strong words of condemnation for this nonsense from the government. But since it’s currently led by a woman who was formerly Home Secretary – and on whose watch a lot of this PC nonsense became embedded in the justice system – I don’t suppose we should be holding our breath.

Democrats are waging a financial civil war in America, targeting banks that fund pro-liberty projects that Leftists don’t like – NaturalNews.com

Posted by M. C. on March 21, 2019

How dare the company do that, Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) lectured. How dare Wells Fargo not bow to the browbeating of Leftist Democrats and follow the lead of other banks in ditching gun makers and retailers.

Specifically, she blasted Sloan because Wells Fargo hasn’t adopted what the anti-gun Left calls “best practices” for the banking industry when it comes to firearms…

https://www.naturalnews.com/2019-03-17-democrats-waging-financial-war-in-america-targeting-banks-that-fund-pro-liberty-projects.html

(Natural News) Let’s get one thing straight: The Democratic Left hates the Constitution. They always have and they always will because it is so effective in preventing authoritarians like them from taking over all the reins of power…

The Left looks at sabotaging the Second Amendment in the same way. Because they know they won’t ever muster support among enough states to repeal it, they are focusing instead on strategies to simply neuter it.

That’s what Operation Choke Point (OCP) was designed to do. As a refresher, OCP was an Obama-era initiative implemented by lawless hacks at his “Justice” Department to investigate (i.e. harass) banks that did business with gun dealers, as well as payday lenders and other companies thought to be involved in fraud or money-laundering.

As Frank Keating wrote in The Hill last year:

A little-known program carried out by President Obama’s Department of Justice (DOJ) whipsawed small business for years, and to date no one has been held accountable. Federal officials pressured banks to close the accounts of businesses solely because they were ideologically opposed to their existence. This runs counter to the very principles of due process and fairness that form the backbone of our nation’s laws.

The Obamaites knew they couldn’t get a GOP Congress to approve legislation that would put gun makers and dealers out of business, so they devised another way to do it: Ruin them economically by cutting off their access to financial services, despite the fact that they were lawful businesses operating on the up-and-up.

Bloomberg’s Armsmaker-Funded Columnist Wants You to Know: Military Spending Is Woke | FAIR

Posted by M. C. on March 21, 2019

Perhaps an enterprising editor, not wanting to collaborate in this transparent scam, will break convention and actually make clear to the reader what 20 seconds of Google would show: that these columns are written by people directly invested in the continued bloating of the Pentagon and function in effect, if not intent, as little more than marketing tools for industries and armies that build, stock and use weapons systems.

To paraphrase bank robber Willie Sutton: Military budgets are where the money is.

https://fair.org/home/bloombergs-armsmaker-funded-columnist-wants-you-to-know-military-spending-is-woke/

You may not know it, but bloated Pentagon budgets are actually “progressive.” Or so says a recent opinion piece in Bloomberg News (3/17/19), “Progressives Should Learn to Love the Pentagon Budget,” by Hal Brands.

Bloomberg identifies Brands as the “Henry Kissinger Distinguished Professor at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, and senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments.” “Kissinger” is ominous enough, but surely Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments is some innocuous, wonky academic institution, no?

In a piece explicitly defending bloated military budgets, however, perhaps it would be useful to know what exactly the “Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments” is.  We can start by reading this section taken directly from their website (unabridged):

Second Amendment Sanctuary Cities, Counties, & STATES

Posted by M. C. on March 21, 2019

https://www.theorganicprepper.com/second-amendment-sanctuaries/

By Dagny Taggart

Sanctuary cities aren’t just for immigrants anymore.

A growing number of states, counties, cities, and towns are declaring themselves “Second Amendment Sanctuaries” and are refusing to enforce gun-control laws that infringe on the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

While adopting ordinances and resolutions to defy gun laws isn’t a new tactic, momentum is rapidly building – likely in response to increasing calls for more gun control at state and federal levels.

Sanctuary counties and towns are passing resolutions that state no funding will be used to enforce unconstitutional laws and that the sheriff will uphold his oath to the Constitution instead of enforcing laws that violate the Second Amendment.

County sheriffs are, legally speaking, the last line of defense in the battle for gun rights:

Federal agencies do not have state powers. Due to the Constitution’s structure of dual sovereignty, the feds have no authority to enforce state laws. Furthermore, states cannot be compelled to enforce federal laws. (source)

Here’s a rundown of the states with jurisdictions that have adopted Second Amendment Sanctuary resolutions…
