SchiffGold.com | Fun on Friday: Did You Know There Are 31 Ongoing National Emergencies?

Posted by M. C. on March 21, 2019

But I’m going to guess that it has something to do with giving some government entity (like the executive branch) some kind of unconstitutional power they shouldn’t have ever had in the first place.

Well, if you’re any kind of news junkie, you probably know that the Senate voted this week to reject President Trump’s national emergency declaration. But fear ye not – there are plenty of other national emergencies on the table!

On a side note, I don’t know about you, but I find it a little disconcerting that the government can’t even agree whether or not there is an emergency. I mean, for the most part, you know when there’s an emergency situation, right? It’s pretty obvious. The house is on fire – emergency! The heat goes out and it’s 20-below – emergency! You run out of M&Ms – emergency.

But this is the government. Those people can’t agree on anything. They would argue about the color of the sky. So, is there an emergency on the border or no? Who knows.

At any rate, if you’re concerned about not having an emergency due to congressional stonewalling, well, don’t you worry. Because like I said, there are still plenty of emergencies for the government to attend to.

Thirty-one to be precise… Read the rest of this entry »

New Zealand PM Encourages Gun Owners to Surrender Their Firearms

Posted by M. C. on March 20, 2019

If New Zealanders are truly a FREE PEOPLE, then REFUSE!
Why should a FREE PEOPLE accept “Collective Guilt”, and submit
to punishment for something they didn’t do???

STAND UP, SAY NO, I WON’T!

So the NZ. prime Minister believes making law abiding gun owners vulnerable to the ramifications of crime by disarming them is a logical solution to the problem of criminality. Doesn’t this blithering idiot know that that Gun Free Zones are the most vulnerable areas ( schools, houses of worship, venues where guns are banned etc.) on earth to mass shootings?

She doesn’t seem to grasp that,….making the law abiding population defenseless, does not make criminals harmless !
We’ve already seen what their laws have accomplished and all she’s doing is making it less safe !!

The Guardian reports that Ardern emerged from a cabinet meeting Monday to say that new gun controls had been agreed upon but specifics would not be immediately made known. She did, however, praise the fact that her government had made decisions about new restrictions on gun ownership within 72 hours of the Christchurch attacks.

Ardern went on to “applaud” New Zealanders who have surrendered weapons and she encouraged others to go ahead and hand theirs over as well:…

Watch – Oxford Society’s Kristina Arriaga: War Has Devastating Impacts on Women

    Posted by M. C. on March 20, 2019

War i$ not good for anyone except for tho$e advocating it.

“I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.”
― Smedley D. Butler, War is a Racket

The following post is sponsored by The Committee for Responsible Foreign Policy (CRFP).

Kristina Arriaga, president of the Oxford Society for Law and Religion, spoke this week about war’s devastating impacts on women at an event in Washington, DC, hosted by the Committee for Responsible Foreign Policy.

War often entails terrible violence and crimes against women, and the wider the gender gap in a country is, the worse women are treated, she said during the discussion.

One of the reasons is that sexual violence is a weapon of war, she said. “Rape is a weapon even more powerful than a bomb or a bullet,” she said.

“These women are victims of the most atrocious abuse of power that you can imagine,” she said. In Eastern Congo, she said more than 200,000 women and children were raped during periods of conflict.

She said these rapes and sexual crimes often tear at the fabric of a society.

Women, if they survive, she said, rarely tell anyone, since they could be shunned from their families and their societies. If a woman becomes pregnant from a rape, her husband will often throw her out of the house, or become abusive towards her and the child.

More than 50,000 children have been born of rape in Eastern Congo, she added…

Romney ‘Can’t Understand’ Why Trump Would ‘Disparage’ ‘Heroic,’ ‘Honorable’ McCain

    Posted by M. C. on March 20, 2019

Trump has his reasons, I have mine…

John McCain, had played in suppressing information about what happened to American soldiers missing in action in Vietnam. Below, we present in full Sydney Schanberg’s explosive story.

In case you haven’t noticed Romney is a twit. Yes, I am an anti-twit racist.

    by Tony Lee

…After ripping McCain over the weekend for peddling the “Fake & Unverified” Christopher Steele Russia dossier to the FBI and the legacy media, Trump said on Monday that he “never will be” a fan of the late Arizona Senator.

“I was never a fan of John McCain and I never will be,” Trump said.

Trump criticized McCain again over his “thumbs down” vote on repealing Obamacare, saying he was “unhappy” that McCain did not give the White House a heads up about his “no” vote.

“I’m very unhappy that he didn’t repeal and replace Obamacare, as you know,” Trump said. “He campaigned on repealing and replacing Obamacare for year. And then he got to a vote and he said thumbs down.”

Trump said he could have gotten “somebody else” to repeal Obamacare had he known McCain was going to change his mind.

“I think that’s disgraceful, plus there were other things,” Trump added…

    Those Cheating Colleges – LewRockwell

    Posted by M. C. on March 20, 2019

A learning specialist hired to help UNC athletes found that 60 percent of the 183 members of the football and basketball teams read between fourth- and eighth-grade levels. About 10 percent read below a third-grade level. These athletes both graduated from high school and were admitted to UNC.

Democrats outnumber their Republican counterparts by a 12-1 ratio. In some departments, such as history, Democratic registered professors outnumber their Republican counterparts by a 33-1 ratio.

    By

Federal prosecutors have charged more than 50 people involved in cheating and bribery in order to get their children admitted to some of the nation’s most prestigious colleges and universities such as Georgetown, Yale, Stanford, University of Texas, University of Southern California and UCLA. They often paid more than $100,000 to rig SAT or ACT exams. In some instances, they bribed college officials and secured their children’s admissions to elite schools through various fraud schemes. As corrupt and depraved as these recent revelations are, they are only the tip of the iceberg of generalized college corruption and gross dishonesty…

However, that year only 37 percent of white high school graduates tested as college-ready but colleges admitted 70 percent of them. Roughly 17 percent of black high school graduates tested as college-ready but colleges admitted 58 percent of them.

About 40 percent of college freshmen must take at least one remedial course. To deal with ill-prepared students, professors dumb down their courses so that students can get passing grades. Colleges also set up majors with little or no academic content so as to accommodate students with limited academic abilities. Such majors often include the term “studies”: ethnic studies, cultural studies, gender studies or American studies. The major selected by the most ill-prepared students, sadly enough, is education. When students’ SAT scores are ranked by intended major, education majors place 26th on a list of 38…

The fact is that when college presidents and their coterie talk about diversity and inclusion, they’re talking mostly about pleasing mixtures of race and sex. Years ago, their agenda was called affirmative action, racial preferences or racial quotas…

By the way, Israel, Japan and South Korea are among the world’s least racially diverse nations. In terms of academic achievement, their students run circles around diversity-crazed Americans…

I’m not sure about what can be done about education. But the first step toward any solution is for the American people to be aware of academic fraud that occurs at every level of education.

The Difficulty of Writing for Americans – PaulCraigRoberts.org

    Posted by M. C. on March 20, 2019

The people have to find solutions, but first they must be informed.  As this article makes clear, that is a difficult enough undertaking.

    https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2019/03/19/the-difficulty-of-writing-for-americans/

    Paul Craig Roberts

Writing for Americans, unless for their entertainment, is a challenging undertaking.  One reason is that many, especially of the younger generations, no longer have a concept of objective truth.

For them “truth” is simply a bias reflecting one’s race, gender, upbringing or predisposition.  Emotion overwhelms fact. Biases are not considered to be equal.  Some are worthy and some or not.  The biases of white people are defined as “hate speech,” “white supremacy,” and “hate crimes.”  Today America has many self-hating whites, especially in the media and Democratic Party.

Another reason is that many Americans confuse an explanation with a justification.  An explanation of an event is seen as a justification of the event.  For example, if one provides an explanation of slavery the assumption is that the writer approves of slavery.  A defense of a disapproved category is taken as a demonstration of your own unworthiness. For example, if you defend white people from the propagandistic accusations leveled at them by Identity Politics, you are a “white supremist.”

Yet another reason is that some races and genders have succeeded in defining any criticism of themselves as an expression of bias. For example, criticism of Israel’s mistreatment of the Palestinians or of the Israel Lobby’s power makes one an “anti-semite.” Similarly, if you criticize a black person, you are a racist and your argument is dismissed as an expression of your bias.  If you criticize a woman, you are a misogynist, and your criticism of a woman proves it.

If you express skepticism of false flag events, you are dismissed as a “conspiracy theorist.”…

In a world such as this, honest ordinary language is risky as many are not attending to the cogency of the analysis but looking for indications of racism and sexism.  Exposure of government deceptions gets one branded  “anti-American” with the result that people cling more tightly to the lie that deceives them…

The Rutherford Institute :: Don’t Shoot the Dogs: The Growing Epidemic of Cops Shooting Family Dogs | By John W. Whitehead |

    Posted by M. C. on March 20, 2019

The absurd cruelties of the American police state keep reaching newer heights.

Consider that if you kill a police dog, you could face a longer prison sentence than if you’d murdered someone or abused a child.

These dog killings are, as Balko recognizes, “a side effect of the new SWAT, paramilitary focus in many police departments, which has supplanted the idea of being an ‘officer of the peace.’”

    https://rutherford.org/publications_resources/john_whiteheads_commentary/dont_shoot_the_dogs_the_growing_epidemic_of_cops_shooting_family_dogs

    By John W. Whitehead

“In too much of policing today, officer safety has become the highest priority. It trumps the rights and safety of suspects. It trumps the rights and safety of bystanders. It’s so important, in fact, that an officer’s subjective fear of a minor wound from a dog bite is enough to justify using potentially lethal force, in this case at the expense of a 4-year-old girl. And this isn’t the first time. In January, an Iowa cop shot and killed a woman by mistake while trying to kill her dog. Other cops have shot other kids, other bystanders, their partners, their supervisors and even themselves while firing their guns at a dog. That mind-set is then, of course, all the more problematic when it comes to using force against people.”—Journalist Radley Balko

The absurd cruelties of the American police state keep reaching newer heights.

Consider that if you kill a police dog, you could face a longer prison sentence than if you’d murdered someone or abused a child.

If a cop kills your dog, however, there will be little to no consequences for that officer.

Not even a slap on the wrist.

In this, as in so many instances of official misconduct by government officials, the courts have ruled that the cops have qualified immunity, a legal doctrine that incentivizes government officials to engage in lawless behavior without fear of repercussions.

This is the heartless, heartbreaking, hypocritical injustice that passes for law and order in America today.

It is estimated that a dog is shot by a police officer “every 98 minutes.”

The Department of Justice estimates that at least 25 dogs are killed by police every day.

The Puppycide Database Project estimates the number of dogs being killed by police to be closer to 500 dogs a day (which translates to 182,000 dogs a year).

In 1 out of 5 cases involving police shooting a family pet, a child was either in the police line of fire or in the immediate area of a shooting. For instance, a 4-year-old girl was accidentally shot in the leg after a police officer opened fire on a dog running towards him, missed and hit the little girl instead.

At a time when police are increasingly inclined to shoot first and ask questions later, it doesn’t take much to provoke a cop into opening fire on an unarmed person guilty of doing nothing more than standing a certain way, or moving a certain way, or holding something—anything—that police could misinterpret to be a weapon…

Even in the absence of an actual threat, the perception of a threat is enough for qualified immunity to kick in and for the cop to be let off the hook for behavior that would get the rest of us jailed for life…

Conservatives face a tough fight as Big Tech’s censorship expands. Facebook blocks Trump’s social media chief: ‘Why are you silencing me?’ Nunes sues Twitter, some users, seeks over $250M alleging anti-conservative ‘shadow bans,’ smears.

Conservatives face a tough fight as Big Tech’s censorship expands

Thanks to a brave Facebook whistleblower who approached James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, we now know that Mark Zuckerberg’s social media giant developed algorithms to “deboost” certain content, limiting its distribution and appearance in news feeds. As you probably guessed, this stealth censorship was specifically aimed at conservatives.

Facebook appears to have deliberately tailored its algorithm to recognize the syntax and style popular among conservatives in order to “deboost” that content. “Mainstream media,” “SJW” (Social Justice Warrior) and “red pill” — all terms that conservatives often use to express themselves — were listed as red flags, according to the former Facebook insider.

Facebook engineers even cited BlazeTV host Lauren Chen’s video criticizing the social justice movement as an example of the kind of “red pills” that users just aren’t allowed to drop anymore…

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/facebook-blocks-trumps-social-media-chief-no-reason-given

Facebook abruptly censored the account of President Trump’s chief social media guru, blocking him for simply responding to a question from a reader.

Dan Scavino Jr. said on Facebook that his page was blocked without notice.

“AMAZING. WHY ARE YOU STOPPING ME from replying to comments followers have left me – on my own Facebook Page!!?? People have the right to know. Why are you silencing me??? Please LMK! Thanks,” he wrote today…

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/nunes-files-bombshell-defamation-suit-against-twitter-seeks-250m-for-anti-conservative-shadow-bans-smears

    By Gregg Re, Catherine Herridge

California GOP Rep. Devin Nunes filed a major lawsuit seeking $250 million in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive damages against Twitter and a handful of its users on Monday, accusing the social media site of “shadow-banning conservatives” to secretly hide their posts, systematically censoring opposing viewpoints, and totally “ignoring” lawful complaints of repeated abusive behavior.

In a complaint filed in Virginia state court on Monday, obtained by Fox News, Nunes claimed Twitter wanted to derail his work on the House Intelligence Committee, which he chaired until 2019, as he looked into alleged and apparent surveillance abuses by the government. Nunes said Twitter was guilty of “knowingly hosting and monetizing content that is clearly abusive, hateful and defamatory – providing both a voice and financial incentive to the defamers – thereby facilitating defamation on its platform.”…

You know how sometimes you come across something that you never thought would exist only to realize you’ve been dreaming of it for years without knowing it, like the amazing country album The Supremes cut in 1965? This is how I felt when I discovered the Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang, a.k.a. Ross Perot for millennials. It had never occurred to me that what the Democratic presidential race needed in 2020 was a soft reboot of the Texan businessman’s maverick populist wonkery, but now that I know it exists I’m absolutely delighted… Read the rest of this entry »
