Ever heard of the Cantillon Effect?  Neither had I.

It is what is happening right now in America, and it reveals that the primary objective of the nation’s exclusive distributor of money, the Federal Reserve Bank, is to boost the value of wealthy people’s incomes at the expense of the poor, which is why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer in America today.

First, a reader needs some backgrounding before wading through all the financial gibberish found online.

Why Are ‘Experts’ Disagreeing With Each Other Over Covid Vaccine?

Posted by M. C. on April 1, 2021

Even the establishment experts seem to be in total disagreement with each other – and often with themselves – over the experimental Covid “vaccine.” Does it prevent the illness? Lessen the illness? Provide lasting immunity? Temporary immunity? Is it safe for all? So many questions, but so few reliable answers.

U.S. and NATO demand more interceptor-missile destroyers to operate from Arctic to Antarctic – Anti-bellum

Posted by M. C. on April 1, 2021

https://antibellum679354512.wordpress.com/2021/03/31/u-s-and-nato-demand-more-interceptor-missile-destroyers-to-operate-from-arctic-to-antarctic/

Rick Rozoff

The U.S. Navy announced that on March 29 the guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt departed Naval Station Rota in Spain to start a Forward-Deployed Naval Forces-Europe patrol in the Mediterranean Sea (and beyond). While operating in the Mediterranean it will be assigned to the U.S. Sixth Fleet whose area of responsibility the sea is, and will almost certainly enter the Black Sea for exercises after the usual protocol. It’s confirmed that it will participate in exercises in the Baltic Sea and off the coasts of Scotland and Iceland.

This is the warship’s second such deployment. The Naval Station Rota is a colossal base, accommodating U.S. and NATO ships with fuel and logistics requirements as they transit into and out of the Mediterranean. It also contains a 670-acre airfield that is used by U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force aircraft.

USS Roosevelt

The Roosevelt and the other 66 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers Washington has in its almost 500-ship navy (with at least fifteen more under construction and planned) are part of the Aegis Combat System and have been or can be equipped with Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) anti-ballistic missiles or interceptor missiles. (The Standard Missile-3 has been progressing into increasingly more sophisticated and longer-range variants: Block IA, Block IB, Block IIA, Block IIB.)

Although touted as a strictly defensive weapon, what in Pentagonese is called a kinetic hit-to-kill missile with no warhead (in theory), the SM-3 has already superseded the limit of shooting down short- and intermediate-range ballistic missiles initially defined as its purpose and last year the U.S. Defense Department announced an SM-3 shot down an intercontinental ballistic missile in a simulated exercise. (As early as 2016 Russian officials expressed concern that the SM-3 Block IIA “was capable of intercepting missiles not only at the middle stage of their flight path, but earlier in the initial acceleration stage before the separation of their warheads.”) Also, in 2008 the USS Lake Erie, a Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser (equipped with SM-3s), shot down a disabled satellite in the exoatmosphere with a modified SM-3. The U.S. Navy has 22 of the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruisers; with as many as 85 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, active and in the works, the Pentagon will have over a hundred ships equipped to launch SM-3s.

USS Roosevelt, assigned to NATO’s Integrated Air Missile Defense, now in the Mediterranean and most likely shortly in the Black Sea, can at least in theory, then, shoot down an ICBM and a satellite, presumably military as well as civilian.

It is currently one of four SM-3-capable U.S. destroyers continuously based at the Naval Station Rota: The USS Donald Cook, there the whole year, and three others that rotate. In February Donald Cook was in the Black Sea with its counterpart USS Porter to “conduct presence operations, demonstrate commitment to NATO allies and partners in the region, and engage in exercises that strengthen interoperability and collective readiness.”

The four Arleigh Burke-class destroyers equipped for the Aegis Combat System operating out of the Spanish base are part of NATO Missile Defence, which was adopted at the NATO summit in Lisbon, Portugal in 2010 and was announced to have achieved interim capability at the summit in Chicago in 2012. When Donald Cook first arrived at Naval Station Rota in 2014 then-NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen stated, “For the first time, a ship of the United States Navy equipped with the Aegis ballistic missile-defence system is permanently based in Europe.”

In February of last year General Tod Wolters, U.S. European Command commander and NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe, informed the Senate Armed Services Committee that he wanted two extra Arleigh Burke-class destroyers deployed to Rota.

Each of the destroyers has 56 Tomahawk cruise missiles. Six of the ships deployed in the Mediterranean, or the Black Sea, could then fire 336 of the missiles. It has not been disclosed how many SM-3s they carry.

Given the above reports of the newer versions of the SM-3 being able to shoot down ICBMs as well as satellites, the inevitable question arises of how strictly defensive U.S. and NATO missile defense plans are. What is to prevent anti-ballistic missile SM-3s being used as a threat to the second-strike deterrence capability of another nation, particularly of Russia’s?

In addition, in 2009 the Barack Obama administration announced that it would abandon plans by the George W. Bush administration to deploy elements of the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense anti-ballistic missile system in Eastern Europe in favor of what was deemed the European Phased Adaptive Approach or Aegis Ashore alternative. There are (or were) to have been four phases which already have been or will be implemented. They include stationing ground-based SM-3s in Romania – the U.S.-built ballistic missile interceptor site at the Deveselu Air Base was declared operational in 2016 – a radar site at Kürecik in Turkey, a command center at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany and plans for also stationing SM-3s at the Redzikowo military base in Poland.

The Roosevelt‘s presence in the Mediterranean is part of the joint U.S.-NATO, sea- and land-based missile system detailed above. While deployed there it will, according to the U.S. Navy, “conduct maritime security operations in support of national security interests in Europe and Africa”, as well as participating with NATO allies in Exercise Baltic Operations 2021, Exercise Formidable Shield 2021 and Exercise Dynamic Mongoose 2021.

Formidable Shield exercises traditionally feature launching a ballistic missile from the Scottish Hebrides which is shot down by a U.S. ship using an SM-3.

Baltic Operations (Baltops), run by Strike Force NATO, is the largest multinational military exercise conducted in the Baltic Sea.

NATO’s Operation Mongoose exercises are held off Iceland with the participation of submarines, ships and aircraft which engage in anti-submarine warfare and anti-surface warfare maneuvers.

The purview of American and NATO interceptor missile operations goes beyond even the Mediterranean, Black, Baltic, Norwegian, North and Barents Seas and the Atlantic Ocean. In the words of the U.S. Navy press release on the deployment of the Roosevelt, these “Forward-Deployed Naval Forces-Europe ships have the flexibility to operate throughout the waters of Europe and Africa, from the Cape of Good Hope to the Arctic Circle, demonstrating their mastery of the maritime domain.” No land separates the Cape of Good Hope from Antarctica. There’s no reason for the Pentagon and NATO to limit their ambitions to the southern tip of South Africa; why not openly acknowledge they intend to appropriate the entire hemisphere from North Pole to South Pole for their interceptor missile operations?

The Great Vaccine Scam: Even Establishment Experts and Scientists Admit the Jabs Are Ineffective – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on April 1, 2021

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2021/04/vasko-kohlmayer/the-great-vaccine-scam-even-establishment-experts-and-scientists-admit-the-jabs-are-ineffective/

By Vasko Kohlmayer

“New Covid vaccines needed globally within a year, say scientists,” reads the headline of a recent piece in the UK Guardian.

The article is based on a survey of pro-vaccine scientists in nearly thirty countries across the globe. Two thirds of these scientists thought that the time frame within which you will need a new shot is less than nine months.

Observes the Guardian:

“The grim forecast of a year or less comes from two-thirds of respondents, according to the People’s Vaccine Alliance, a coalition of organisations including Amnesty International, Oxfam, and UNAIDS, who carried out the survey of 77 scientists from 28 countries.”

If you are concerned about the vaccines, please pay close attention.

The Guardian’s report is an important one, because it indirectly reveals the truth about the current crop of the Covid-19 vaccines. Here is the hidden message: the vaccines being administered in millions of doses every day fail to confer adequate protection against Covid-19.

The obvious implication of these scientists’ statements is that the vaccines on offer are ineffective. About this there can now be no doubt, for if the vaccines were effective, these experts would not go around saying that people will have to be re-vaccinated within mere months of receiving their Covid shots. Only a few weeks ago these shots – you may remember – were being promoted as the answer to the pandemic and a ticket back to normality.

To compound the travesty, these scientists fail to tell us that there is every reason to believe that the new vaccines will be as ineffective as those that are being peddled at present.

The reason why the current vaccines are ineffective is because the virus that causes Covid-19 has mutated into a multitude of new variants. Some of these variants are sufficiently removed from the original strain to render the vaccines – which were aimed at that earlier version of the virus – useless. There have already been a number of cases where people came down with Covid even though they had been vaccinated against it. In a number of places around the world, the new variants have already become the dominant strains which makes the current batch of vaccines on the market largely obsolete.

That this type of virus mutates rapidly has always been known, which is why honest scientists have always warned that it is impossible to end this epidemic by vaccinations. Trying to beat this disease with inoculations is like playing cat and mouse, where we can never catch up with ever-new variants of the rapidly morphing virus. In other words, because of its nature, the virus will always be one step ahead in the vaccination game.

But this well-known fact did not dissuade the pharma companies and their allies in the scientific community and government from pursuing this predictably futile course of action. The reason for this is not difficult to see: money. The whole vaccination enterprise has proved to be tremendously profitable for those involved. The Pfizer vaccine, for example, is already the second highest revenue-generating drug in the world. According to an earlier piece in the Guardian, Covid-19 vaccines have “created a global market worth tens of billions of dollars in annual sales for some pharmaceutical companies.”

The effort has produced a bevy of billionaires and we are still only in the relatively early stages. Even though not everyone involved becomes a billionaire, great amounts of money and funding from this enterprise have been flowing to countless so-called experts, scientists and politicians who take part in the racket.

Desirous of keeping their scheme going, the profiteers blame the failure of the vaccines on the slow and uneven progress of the roll-out process. But what they say is just not true.

Rather than being slow, this has been the fastest vaccination development, production and roll-out in history. It normally takes several years to develop and test a vaccine and then it takes a long time to administer it to the population at large. According to Business Insider, “vaccines often take years, and sometimes even decades, to develop, test, and approve for public use.” The first Covid vaccines were being administered barely nine months after the disease was first detected in the West. The speed of the development and administration has been wholly unprecedented.

By claiming that the lack of speed is to blame and that we have to carry out the whole process much faster, the vaccine profiteers are proposing a course of action that is completely unrealizable.

Just think about it. According to Gregg Gonsalves, associate professor of epidemiology at Yale University, “new mutations arise every day. Sometimes they find a niche that makes them more fit than their predecessors. These lucky variants could transmit more efficiently and potentially evade immune responses to previous strains.”

To beat the mutations in the way the manufacturers suggest, we would have to develop, test, produce and roll out the vaccines for the strains in circulation in a very small window of time. As this is a quickly mutating virus, we are talking about a matter of weeks at the most. In this time frame we would not only have to develop an effective vaccine also but to inoculate the majority of the world’s population. This is clearly unachievable. Only a person detached from reality could think such a thing possible.

But even if you could somehow miraculously manage to do all of that within a month, there still would be no guarantee that within this time period new vaccine-eluding strains would not arise.

What the vaccines manufacturers and the experts and scientists on their payrolls publicly advocate is obviously absurd, and they know it. But this does not stop them from pushing this course of action on the frightened public, because of the tremendous profits they will rake up in the process. With each new round of the unwinnable game of cat and mouse being played with the virus, they will increase their wealth to the tune of tens of billions of dollars.

Due to the mutating nature of this virus, it is impossible to defeat this pandemic by vaccinations. In fact, vaccinations are likely to make things worse, because not only are they ineffective in conferring protection, but they apparently also have serious side effects. There have already been thousands of deaths and tens of thousands of vaccine injuries reported in the relatively short time since the mass administration began. The true number is likely far larger, and we still know nothing of the potential long-terms effects of these hastily created pharmaceuticals. According to analysis of data from Israel, one of the world’s most vaccinated countries, “Pfizer’s vaccine killed about 40 times more (elderly) people and 260 times more of the young than what the COVID-19 virus would have claimed in the given time frame.”

By continuing to administer these untested and ineffective concoctions to millions of people on a daily basis the pharma companies and their accomplices in government and the scientific community may be creating the largest health calamity in human history.

We must call upon our elected officials to put an end to this travesty.

Economics expert Biden expects US to believe corporations pay taxes. Yes, they write the check but corporate taxes are costs of business. They are included in your price.

https://erietimes-pa-app.newsmemory.com/?publink=3cf7250a3

President Joe Biden’s $2trillion plan Wednesday to rebuild the nation’s aging infrastructure, support electric vehicles and clean energy, and boost access to caregivers and their pay represents a massive undertaking that would be the centerpiece of his economic agenda.

Biden wants to raise taxes on corporations to pay for the eight-year package. The proposal would increase the corporate tax rate to 28% and overhaul how the U.S. taxes multinational corporations.

Even as infrastructure generally has widespread bipartisan support, Biden faces a giant challenge. Republicans have balked at the suggestion of tax hikes and warned they would oppose a package that strays from core transportation infrastructure.

The Banality of Blinken’s Evil – RPI 31 March Update

Posted by M. C. on April 1, 2021

He does not say this as an apology for his murderous Syria policy beginning under Obama. Nor as an apology for the sanctions that have only caused suffering among the most innocent, in tandem with the arming and training of psychotic jihadists to burn the sectarian, multi-confessional Syria to the ground.

No, the empty-eyed Blinken cries crocodile tears for the Syrian children as political cover for his re-introduction of policies that killed their country and their parents in the first place.

https://mailchi.mp/ronpaulinstitute/blinken?e=4e0de347c8

Dear Friends:

The 1963, Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil, written by Jewish philosopher Hannah Arendt, introduced the world to perhaps the most chilling aspect of the Nazi mass murder of so many Jews, Christians, other religious minorities – and so many others – at the hands of the national socialism of Hitler’s murder machine: the fact that the horror of mass killing on a colossal scale could be undertaken not with the fiery dramatics of drooling monsters, but rather could easily be carried out with the cold precision of the unthinking bureaucrat. The cog in the machine. The Eichmanns of the world, whose defense was, with a shrug, “I was only doing my job.”

For a period after the Nuremburg trials, which sought to criminalize such a defense of evil, it was accepted that the initiation of unprovoked aggression against others could no longer be justified with the excuse, “I was only doing my job.”

Arendt horrified us with the tale of Eichmann’s intellectual emptiness and the moral black hole that appeared at the center of his heart. He was not exceptional in his evil. He was just part of the machine. A bureaucrat.

As she put it:

The trouble with Eichmann was precisely that so many were like him, and that the many were neither perverted nor sadistic, that they were, and still are, terribly and terrifyingly normal. From the viewpoint of our legal institutions and of our moral standards of judgment, this normality was much more terrifying than all the atrocities put together.

Which brings us to current US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. This is not to compare Blinken with Eichmann or to suggest that he is a Nazi. Rather it is to point out that he shares the very same traits with those who actually feel a sense of moral superiority while implementing policies that result in the horrible deaths of tens of thousands – indeed hundreds of thousands and even millions – of innocents in the name of pursuing a “noble cause.”

So here we have this video Tweeted by Blinken’s office where he – shockingly – seeks to lecture us on the morality of his long-time Syria policy (while a senior official in the Obama Administration and now as Biden’s Secretary of State) that has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians and the displacement of millions. All in the pursuit of “regime change” in Syria.

Is it mere banality – or is it actual malevolence – that leads the co-author of Syria’s misery to Tweet the following about the victims of his criminal foreign policy:

When I think of the suffering of the Syrian people, including Syrian children, I think of my own two children. How could we not take action to help them? Our common humanity demands it. Shame on us if we don’t.

“We have to find a way to do something to take action to help people,” he says, with carefully rehearsed deep emotion, in the video.

But Blinken’s “do something” is no act of contrition for supporting jihadists and sanctioning the country into a hell on earth. It does not mean the US reversing course on “regime change” in Syria and leaving the desperate Syrians to rebuild their country.

No. It means that he intends to reinvigorate a policy gone flaccid under Trump – with some disgusting exceptions – that the US, led again by neocons and demonic “humanitarian” interventionists, would wander about Syria seeking the ruin of innocent lives.

But don’t worry: Blinken justifies the coming slaughter of innocent Syrian children by telling us he thinks of his kids when he thinks of the Syrian children. What a comfort.

As C.S. Lewis famously wrote, “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive.

Somewhere Blinken’s mentor, Madeleine “it was worth it” Albright, cackles with glee…

Watch “Woke Colleges vs Testing” on YouTube

Posted by M. C. on March 31, 2021

Colleges are ending SAT/ACT tests in the name of diversity, despite research that shows they are good at predicting college success. —- Don’t miss the weekly video from Stossel TV. Sign up here: https://johnstossel.activehosted.com/f/1 —- Some schools now won’t even look at applicants’ test scores. The reason: richer kids may get tutoring, and some minority groups, on average, don’t score as well. Bob Schaeffer of the advocacy group FairTest compares test-makers to “the tobacco industry.” He’s winning his war against testing. More than half of colleges in the country are now test-optional. “The test makers themselves admit that the SAT and ACT are inferior predictors of college performance [to grades],” Schaeffer tells me. But here’s the data: high school grades predict 33% of college grades, while tests predict 32%. Not very “inferior!” Using both grades and SATs predicts 42% of college success. A University of California report found that this trend holds across all races and income levels: https://senate.ucsd.edu/media/424154/… In other words, tests are useful predictors of college success and failure. Yet university administrators didn’t follow the faculty report’s recommendations. Why? Diversity and political correctness. “It really is about making these campuses look right,” says Jason Riley of the Wall Street Journal editorial board. “…using them to make your college catalog look more colorful… It’s about aesthetics. It’s not about learning.” I ask: “What’s wrong with these schools saying we want a more diverse student body?” “How you achieve it is what I take issue with,” Riley says. “There’s this assumption. We just get these kids in the door. They’ll be fine. They’ll do okay. No, they won’t! … they’re being set up to fail.” To really increase diversity, Riley says, support school choice and charter schools that succeed in preparing disadvantaged kids for college.

Biden Begs Taliban: Let Us Stay Six More Months

Posted by M. C. on March 31, 2021

The Biden Administration seems intent on breaking the agreement signed under the Trump Administration for US troops to finally leave Afghanistan, the longest and perhaps most pointless war in US history. Rather than follow through with the withdrawal, the White House is attempting to negotiate with the Taliban for six more months. How many more Americans (and Afghanis) will have to die for this failed policy? Also today, Biden ratchets up war tensions in Ukraine, shipping more than 300 tons of new weapons. War drums getting louder.

More Americans will die if Biden cheats on the deal.
