Redistributing Wealth – The Future of Freedom Foundation

Thus, if a firm fails to continue satisfying consumers, it loses market share and maybe even goes out of business. Take a look at the top 10 companies in the Fortune 500 in 1980. Only one — Exxon Mobil — is still in the top 10 today. If the rich only get richer, then the same top 10 in 1980 would be there today. The reason they are not is because of market forces revolving around consumer demand.

One of the reasons for the welfare state is the concept of redistribution of wealth. The argument is that in a free market, there are people who end up having more money than others. This is unfair, argue welfare-statists. Everyone should be equal in terms of the money and wealth they have. Thus, their argument goes, the government is needed to take money from the wealthy and give it to the poor, until everyone is equal in terms of income and wealth.
Coercive redistribution and equalization of wealth is a core principle, of course, of socialism. In the pure socialist ideal, the state takes everything from everyone and then doles out money to everyone in equal shares.
That’s, in fact, what happened in Cuba after the communist revolution. Prior to the revolution, there were highly successful businesses and very wealthy people, as reflected by big companies, mansions, bank accounts, and plantations.
After the revolution, the state confiscated everything. The state began running the highly successful companies, and everyone became an employee of the state. Poor people were permitted to move into the mansions and onto the plantations. It was an exciting time because for a while the state appeared to be a great benefactor, one that was taking from the rich and equalizing wealth.
But the process didn’t last long. Bureaucrats don’t know how to run companies. They only know how to run companies into the ground, which is what they did. Over time, the overall amount of wealth in society shrank to near nothing. People were on the verge of starvation. But everyone was now “equal,” which made socialists really happy, even if everyone was equally starving to death.
At the center of the welfare-state, socialist concept are the grave sins of envy, coveting, and stealing. There are people in life that just cannot stand the idea that there are others who have more money or more wealth than they do. They figure that if they can just bring those people down by having the state take their money from them, the ones who are coveting will feel better, even though they and everyone else are worse off. Their envy and covetousness get the better of them.
This is not to suggest, of course, that Cuba had a free-market system before Castro took over. It was a highly controlled and regulated economic system, one that was riddled with corruption. It’s just to say that there was more wealth and a higher standard of living in that system, one that caused socialists to want to take full control over everything and redistribute it.
Of course, it’s worth mentioning the brutal U.S. economic embargo on Cuba only made things worse for the Cuban people. They were caught in a vise that squeezed the lifeblood out of them, one side of which was socialism and the other side of which was the U.S. embargo.
The assumption among statists has long been that in a genuine free-market system, the rich only get richer and the poor only get poorer. Nothing could be further from the truth. In such a system, redistribution of wealth occurs naturally.
In a free-market system, the only way a person or a firm can become successful and wealthy is by providing a service or product that other people are willing to pay for. The more the seller satisfies consumers, the more people will buy his product or service, and the wealthier the seller becomes.
That’s how Amazon got big, successful, and wealthy. And Bill Gates. And many others.
But once a person or company becomes successful and wealthy, that’s not the end of the story. They remain under constant pressure to continue satisfying consumers. Consumers are a fickle bunch. Most of them do not feel any deep loyalty to a company. If someone else comes along and offers a better product or service at a lower price, they immediately shift their business.
Thus, if a firm fails to continue satisfying consumers, it loses market share and maybe even goes out of business. Take a look at the top 10 companies in the Fortune 500 in 1980. There are also investments to consider. The rich don’t always get richer because oftentimes the way they invest their money doesn’t pan out. Just ask Bill Hwang of Archegos Capital Management. According to an article in today’s Market Watch, Archegos made some bad stock calls in the futures market and is now saddled with potential losses of $100 billion. That’s billion, with a “b.” One Wall Street veteran called it. “one of the single greatest losses of personal wealth in history.”
In a genuine free market society, everyone tends to be better off with overall growth in standards of living, even though on an individual basis there is massive redistribution of wealth taking place. The worst thing that people can do is succumb to envy, covetousness, and stealing and incorporate these sins into their political-economic system. That only leaves everyone worse off.EMAIL

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow that President Biden’s $2.25 trillion infrastructure package is “encouraging.”
However, she added that she has “serious concerns that it’s not enough.”
AOC said that the U.S. could “realistically need $10 trillion over 10 years.”
“I know that may by an eye-popping figure for some people, but we need to understand that we are in a devastating economic moment. Millions of people in the United States are unemployed. We have a truly crippled health care system and a planetary crisis on our hands, and we’re the wealthiest nation in the history of the world. So we can do $10 trillion,” she told Maddow.

In a further post, Paul also shared a study examining T cell responses in people who have recovered from Covid-19.

The Senator clashed with Fauci a fortnight ago, telling him “You’ve been vaccinated and you parade around in two masks for show. You can’t get it again.”
“There’s virtually zero percent chance you’re going to get it and you’re telling people that have had the vaccine who have immunity — You’re defying everything we know about immunity by telling people to wear masks who have been vaccinated,” Paul charged during the hearing.

How Ambassador Robert Ford Attempted to Whitewash the CIA’s Dirty War on Syria | The Libertarian Institute

The vast U.S. and UK-led propaganda campaign to characterize the war in Syria as a popular uprising led by moderate rebels against a dictator has largely been successful. However, cracks in the narrative have emerged with time, as the nature of the armed groups fighting with U.S. assistance against the Syrian government becomes more widely known. More and more observers are coming to realize, as academic Tim Anderson has pointed out, that the war in Syria was not a popular revolution but rather a dirty war against the Syrian government, fought by Salafist militias acting as proxies for the U.S. and its regional allies.70 It is perhaps because this narrative is losing credibility that Ambassador Ford has once again attempted to whitewash the role of the Obama administration and the CIA in destroying the Syrian state, and thereby deflect blame for the unimaginable suffering and death that Syrians have had to endure as a result.

In April 2020, COVID control freak Anthony Fauci mentioned that the feds had begun investigating “certificates of immunity” for American citizens. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio launched a snitch line urging people to upload photos of businesses not in compliance with social distancing rules. Georgia officials dispatched law enforcement officers to random private homes in Fulton and Dekalb counties to ask residents questions about their health and to collect blood samples for an antibody test.

The Biden administration’s vaccine passport scheme is just the teeny-tiny tip of a massive privacy invasion iceberg. A year ago this week, I began chronicling the worldwide weaponization of COVID-19 by big government and big business to trace and track the health data of untold hundreds of millions of human beings. Let’s review.
In March 2020, Singapore unleashed a Bluetooth app called “TraceTogether” on Google Play and the Apple Store to track people who tested positive for coronavirus and notify others through their cellphones. For those who argue that participation is completely “voluntary,” bear in mind that Singapore functions as a high-tech dictatorship where refusal to comply with stay-at-home orders and refusal to share GPS location data with health bureaucrats are criminal offenses subject to six months’ imprisonment and/or a $10,000 fine.
The Singapore system was quickly expanded to require users to submit their national ID numbers and passport numbers; a few months later, the government issued wearable tracing “tokens” with QR codes to all 5.7 million residents in Singapore. Plans are in the works to formally mandate TraceTogether enrollment for anyone in cinemas, restaurants, workplaces, schools and shopping malls.
Dozens of states, plus countries including Germany, the U.K., and a large swath of Canada, now use COVID-19 exposure notification apps akin to Singapore’s that are built on Google and Apple’s Exposure Notification application programming interface.
On March 9, 2020, the Trump administration’s U.S. Department of Health and Human Services unveiled new data rules requiring doctors and hospitals to “send a core set of medical data directly to third-party apps after a patient has authorized the information exchange.” Google, Apple and Microsoft—all at the forefront of health data mining—sat in on the rule-making process meetings.
The tech oligarchs are in the driver’s seat, not the back of the bus.
As I’ve reported in investigative documentaries and this column for years, Google/YouTube is already knee-deep in mental-health data mining of adults and children despite repeated privacy violations. They’ve mined students’ emails in violation of the federal Family and Educational Rights and Privacy Act. They’ve violated the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. Google secretly harvested tens of millions of medical records with identifying names, lab results, diagnoses, immunization records and prescriptions from thousands of hospitals across 21 states through “Project Nightingale”—a partnership with Ascension health system to build a search tool and data analytics using machine-learning algorithms.
A year ago this month, Google launched “Verily,” a COVID-19 screening and testing website. California Gov. Gavin Newsom forked over $55 million to subsidize Verily contracts with 28 counties. The contracts allow Google/Verily to mine and share home addresses and medical information with “unnamed contractors and state and federal health authorities,” according to Kaiser Health News.

Police agencies in Florida, Connecticut and New Jersey deployed drones to enforce social distancing and experiment with fever and facial mask detection. In May 2020, China rolled out temperature armbands to college students. In August 2020, the Butler, New Jersey, public schools mandated temperature armbands manufactured by Accwell for students and staff to be worn at all times as a condition of access to public education.
Volan Technology successfully marketed and distributed tracking Bluetooth-enabled “badges” and “beacons” to school districts that can track campus movements of COVID-positive wearers for up to 30 days and identify others with whom they’ve had close contact. Princeton Identity rolled out new touchless biometric and iris scanning products to be installed on college campuses. Online proctoring services that proliferated in the age of COVID, including Proctorio, Factorial and Respondus Monitor, collect college students’ facial recognition data—which can be sold to third parties.
This week, The Washington Free Beacon obtained a Biden COVID team document outlining a trace-and-track program developed by the University of Illinois using Bluetooth technology that mimics the Singapore model I flagged a year ago.
This week, snoozing Americans finally woke up to the Biden vaccine passport plan and the New York vaccine verification program known as the “Excelsior Pass.” But these credentialing systems have been in the works for years among U.S. and global health agencies, long before “corona” meant nothing more than a beer or bright light to most people. The Vaccination Credential Initiative is a joint endeavor of the feds, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, the Mayo Clinic, electronic medical records giant Epic, Big Pharma CEOs and globalist nonprofit entities all coordinated by the military-industrial powerhouse MITRE corporation.
These public-private partnerships between tech companies and Surveillance States obliterate any meaningful distinction between “free market” initiatives and government directives. Big tech, big health and big government all work seamlessly to ensure the success of the global trace-and-track regime. There is no freedom to choose in a climate of collusion and a culture of conformity. The conspiracy is real.

‘Breaking Through’ — States Report Growing Number of COVID Cases Among Fully Vaccinated • Children’s Health Defense

The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) announced Tuesday it is investigating reports of people who tested positive for COVID more than two weeks after being fully vaccinated against the disease.
According to Kiro 7 News, a CBS affiliate in Washington, the DOH is investigating reports of the so-called “breakthrough cases,” which it said are expected with any vaccine. Each case was confirmed with a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test or a positive antigen test more than two weeks after the person had been fully vaccinated.
A majority of people with confirmed vaccine breakthrough experienced mild symptoms, if any. However, since Feb. 1, eight people with vaccine breakthrough cases were hospitalized and the DOH “is investigating two potential vaccine breakthrough cases where the patients died. Both patients were more than 80 years old and suffered underlying health issues,” officials said in a press release.Ask Congress to Investigate COVID Origins – Take Action
Washington isn’t the only state reporting breakthrough cases. Florida, South Carolina, Texas, New York, California and Minnesota have also reported cases of fully vaccinated people testing positive and becoming ill with COVID.
The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County had six documented breakthrough cases, Sumter County had six and Lake County had 26 cases, according to emails from each county spokespersons.
Dr. Sunil Joshi, president of the Duval County Medical Foundation, compared the COVID vaccine to the flu vaccine. “It’s like the flu shot, for instance, right. We know, we encourage people to get the flu vaccine. That doesn’t mean that you’re not going to get the flu. But the disease is significantly lessened,” Joshi said. “So remember, the whole goal for this, from the very beginning, has been to keep people out of the hospital. And so anything positive after the vaccine is not unusual, it can happen.”
In Charleston, South Carolina, the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) identified 134 breakthrough cases in those fully vaccinated across the state. In the past month alone, Roper St. Francis Healthcare treated four patients in the hospital and were aware of 10 other “breakthrough” cases that did not need hospitalization.
The Medical University of South Carolina reported seven COVID cases in fully vaccinated people. Roper Hospital is working with DHEC to analyze positive test results to see if variants may play a role.
“All of these individuals we identify who get infected or even hospitalized despite receiving two doses, that virus will be sent on to DHEC for further analysis,” infectious disease physician Dr. Kent Stock said. “The question is, is that phenomenon influencing these numbers?”
In Wichita Falls, Texas, seven vaccine breakthrough cases were reported Monday in those fully vaccinated against COVID. Of the seven cases, six had the Pfizer vaccine and one had Moderna.
“We’ve been watching that since the very beginning, since vaccinations started and so we started noticing it was just maybe one per week, two per week, now we are currently at seven,” Amy Fagan, assistant health director of the Wichita Falls Wichita County Public Health District, said.
As of March 24, Minnesota had identified 89 “breakthrough” COVID infections with a small number resulting in hospitalization, according to Star Tribune.
Out of caution, the state is reviewing the cases to see if they have anything in common, state infectious disease director Kris Ehresmann said. “A cluster of cases vaccinated at the same site could suggest a handling problem with the vaccine, or that a lot was tainted,” she said.
When asked about Minnesota’s vaccine breakthrough cases during a White House press briefing on March 26, Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Biden’s chief medical advisor, said: “This is something we take seriously and follow closely. You will see breakthrough infections in any vaccination when you’re vaccinating literally tens and tens and tens of millions of people. So in some respects, that’s not surprising.”
According to Fox News, a Long Island, New York woman tested positive for COVID Tuesday — more than a month after receiving her second dose of the Moderna vaccine meant to protect against the virus. “I was shocked,” Rosen said. “I’m the 4.9% that got Moderna and actually got COVID.”
In a March 23 letter to the editor of the New England Journal of Medicine, eight physicians reported on a study they conducted on breakthrough cases at the University of California, San Diego and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) health systems.
According to the letter, UCLA instituted an optional testing program on Dec. 26, 2020, for asymptomatic healthcare workers using PCR nasal testing in an effort to detect asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infections after vaccination.
From Dec. 16, 2020, through Feb.9, 2021, a total of 36,659 healthcare workers received the first dose of a COVID vaccine, and 28,184 of these persons (77%) received the second dose. Among those vaccinated, 379 people tested positive for COVID at least one day after vaccination, and the majority (71%) tested positive within the first two weeks after the first dose. After receiving both vaccinations, 37 healthcare workers tested positive.
According to the study, the risk of testing positive for COVID after vaccination was between 0.97% and 1.19% –– rates higher than the risks reported in the Moderna and Pfizer vaccine trials.
As The Defender reported in December 2020, one explanation for “breakthrough cases” in the fully vaccinated may be the use of polyethylene glycol (PEG) in mRNA COVID vaccines like Moderna and Pfizer.
Studies have found approximately 72% of people may have PEG antibodies. In those people, the antibodies may cause an anaphylactic reaction to the vaccine. Or, the antibodies may break down and degrade the PEG-coated mRNA in the vaccine before it gets a chance to get into the cell and start programming the production of spike proteins, resulting in the vaccine being less effective.

Hell is overcrowded. It’s a serious problem. As we told you a long time ago, people come here because they WANT TO. They’re not consigned. In the last year, we’ve had a major influx. We investigated. Turns out it’s the Reincarnation Hesitancy factor. Fewer people want to return to Earth for another life. And they’re scared about the entrance requirements for Heaven, so they show up in Hell.
Why are they hesitant about reincarnating?
The increasing chaos on Earth. But the big reason is: they don’t want to be reborn as infants and take all the childhood vaccines. They know the shots are highly damaging. Who wants to go through a whole life in some kind of grotesque brain-injured condition?
I see. Well, how can I help?
We want your people at the World Economic Forum to launch a new global religion. Not overtly, of course. Use cutouts. But the theme of the religion is reincarnation. Use some corrupted form of Hinduism as your guide. Insist that reincarnation is mandatory. It’s the path to enlightenment. People have to come back, over and over, until they learn every lesson that enables them to transcend the need for a human form. You get the idea.
Interesting. You know, with a combination of mandatory vaccination and mandatory reincarnation, we might really have something. A one-two punch. A squeeze play.
These days, the Gates of Hell look like the US Southern border. Lots people struggling to get in. We can’t process them all. So we’re sending them all for preliminary programming, as a first step.
What kind of programming?
It’s basically the US public education system. After a few months, the average IQ drop is 20 points. Then we assign them to meaningless desk jobs. But this is only a temporary solution. We need more supervisors to handle people individually. The trick in each case is getting the proportions of pleasure and pain right. When we do, we can keep a person for about a thousand years, before he drifts away.
I wish you could just raise Hell up to Earth and install it wholesale. It would make our work much easier.
We’re doing that on a limited basis. It’s called China.
The Beijing regime is working on a 20-year plan to surveil, in real time, every square inch of the whole country. Indoors and outdoors. It’s quite ambitious.
Their latest innovation is swarms of small spy drones disguised as doves.
I’ll put a few people to work drawing up plans for a new world religion. We might be able to add a few wrinkles to mandatory reincarnation. While on Earth, know your place. Live out the life you’re assigned. This fits nicely with the technocratic overview: every human is given a slot in the System, for the benefit of all. That kind of thing.
I like it, Klaus. A “scientific” version of “accept your fate.”
The new religion is safe and effective.

Throw in a promise of GMO humans. “You can accelerate your path to enlightenment, reduce the number of your reincarnations by submitting to gene alteration.”
A whole new set of vaccines that alter DNA.
