The Counterrevolutionary Left | The American Conservative

But do these benefactors really want thugs to continue rampaging through our cities if their party wins? What about Bill Kristol, Jennifer Rubin, Mitt Romney, John Kasich, Michael Bloomberg, members of the Bush family and other pro-Biden establishmentarians? Are they looking forward to a Green New Deal, having AOC in a Biden cabinet, or perhaps seeing BLM “peaceful protestors” sitting across from them at the table of the new Democratic government? And assuming these counterrevolutionaries don’t want that to happen, what measures are they willing to take to keep the extremists with whom they are allied from sharing power?

The Counterrevolutionary Left

What happens when rioters cease to be useful to America’s woke oligarchs?

CWB honorees Alicia Garza, Opal Tometi and Patrisse Cullors speak onstage during attends The New York Women’s Foundation Celebrating Women Breakfast at Marriott Marquis Hotel on May 14, 2015 (Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images for The New York Women’s Foundation)

Reports about tons of dark money flooding Democratic operatives from “left wing groups” seems to confirm an analysis offered this week by Pedro Gonzalez in his column “The Ruling Class Strikes Back”:

A network of left-wing groups with budgets eclipsing those of conservative powerhouses like the Heritage Foundation will likely ‘carpet bomb’ the 2020 election with anonymous dark money, a new report obtained by Fox News warns.”

Here the ruling class is indeed striking back. This “carpet bombing” money, which is intended to push the mentally deteriorated Democratic presidential candidate over the finish line, is coming from neither inner-city blacks nor derelicts at a soup kitchen. This dark money has issued from the wealthy and very wealthy. It is meant to keep Donald Trump from winning the November election and thereby continuing what the donors view as a revolutionary experiment in American government. Pedro urges us not to be distracted by screams about the underprivileged and Trump’s “right wing extremism.”

The people who are behind the anti-Trump crusade and who manufacture daily crises and scandals to bring him down represent an establishment that Trump ruffled without displacing. And now they’re coming after him, the Deep State, the neocon global interventionists, the culture industry that resents Trump’s defiance, and the friends of the Clintons and Obamas in the media. In their view and in that of the Never-Trump and Lincoln Project Republicans, Trump is not the kind of person who should be in the White House. He is brash and shoots too often from the hip. He also doesn’t defer often enough to the sage counsels of “experts.”

Pedro Gonzalez is on the money that there is a counterrevolutionary character to much of the organized opposition to Trump. The rich people and those in power loathe him, while working-class whites, church-going country folk, and the young women who never went to college form his base. Who but a total idiot would confuse Michelle Obama, the ultimate pampered mediocrity, with an impoverished black mother, when she declaims against “white privilege” from her 11-million dollar pleasure dome on Martha’s Vineyard? Moreover, while the Dems are hemorrhaging working class voters, such plutocrats as Jeff Bezos, Jeff Zucker, George Soros, Mark Zuckerberg, and all kinds of Hollywood celebrities have rallied to their cause. Tucker Carlson was paraphrasing this causal explanation when he observed that “our leaders have decided to punish the middle class” for having voted for Trump.

But I would offer two qualifications to Pedro’s argument that underscores the uniqueness of the present counterrevolution. This enraged resistance is coming from the institutionalized Left against what in its appeal to national interest is a challenge from the right. Not all counterrevolutions originate on the right, and certainly not if leftists are the ones in power or are the ones who are fearful of losing power. When the Communist regime in Poland fought Polish Catholic nationalists; or the Republican government in Spain in 1936 resisted the Nationalists under General Franco, the leftist establishment might have described itself as counterrevolutionaries who were resisting a revolutionary right. Throughout Western Europe today populists are battling to wrest power from a globalist capitalist class, which actively supports the LGBT cause and is welcoming Third World Muslim immigration. Here too the counterrevolutionaries are located on the left.

Another complicating factor, which I discuss in a book in press, Antifascism: Course of a Crusade, is that the ruling class has allied itself with dangerous radicals, who want to push things beyond where our elites wish them to go. The CEOs of Pepsico, Citibank, Netflix and dozens of other globally active corporations are delighted to shower money on BLM and even Antifa groups, but this may be mostly to topple the present administration by creating chaos in our cities. They may also play the fashionable role of woke capitalists and like Goldman-Sachs, or require their employees to use transgender pronouns in the workplace.

What may generate an instant crisis is if the rioters continue to run amok. It will no longer be possible to blame these disturbances on the defeated “racist” president; and at some point, the victorious Democrats may have to deal with their unruly voters. It is not entirely unlikely that force will then be applied; and as in the Minneapolis riots some attempt will be made to link the disorder to the “far right.” A possible comparison that comes to mind is the way Hitler wiped out the hell-raising Brown Shirts after he came to power. We may not see in Biden’s America anything quite as disquieting as the Night of the Long Knives, but it’s also doubtful that the unruliness will go away on its own.

Thomas Massie vs. the Other 434 – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on August 3, 2020

There are 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. Only one would get my vote (if I voted).

Thomas Massie is a Republican who has represented Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District, which stretches across Northern Kentucky and 280 miles of the Ohio River, since 2012. With a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, both from MIT, Massie is a smart guy. But more importantly, he is a friend of the Constitution, liberty, property, and peace; that is, he doesn’t just recite the conservative mantra: his votes in Congress speak for themselves.

The New American magazine publishes four times each term of Congress “The Freedom Index: A Congressional Scorecard Based on the U.S. Constitution.” The Freedom Index “rates congressmen based on their adherence to constitutional principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, national sovereignty, and a traditional foreign policy of avoiding foreign entanglements.”

The new edition of the Freedom Index (in the issue dated July 20) is the second for the 116th Congress, and looks at ten key measures. Scores are derived by dividing a congressman’s constitutional votes by the total number of votes cast and multiplying by 100. So, the higher the score the better.

This edition of the Freedom Index tracks congressional votes in the House on appropriations, impeachment, the United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA), the Equal Rights Amendment, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, the Iran War Powers Resolution, and coronavirus aid packages.

For the second time in a row for the 116th Congress, Rep. Massie scored a perfect 100 percent. Most of the Democrats received a failing score. But the other Republicans in the House didn’t do so well either. Seven of them earned a score from 30-39 percent. Sixty-four of them earned a score from 40-49 percent. Forty-five of them earned a score from 50-59 percent. Forty-three of them earned a score from 60-69 percent. Twenty-four of them earned a score from 70-79 percent. Six of them earned a score from 80-89 percent. And only one of them earned a score from 90-99 percent.

This means that over half of the Republicans in the House received a failing grade when it comes to their “conservatism.” With Republicans like these, who needs Democrats? Indeed, outspoken Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez earned a score of 60 percent. This means that she scored higher than the majority of the Republicans in the House. Let that sink in for a minute:

AOC is more conservative than the majority of Republican House members.

Any yet we are told ad nauseam by conservative talk show hosts and pastors of evangelical churches that we should vote Republican to keep those evil Democrats out of office.

What makes things even worse is that the Republican Party is the opposition party in the House right now. Republicans always score lower when they are the party in power.

How many times must I say it: The only limited government that Republicans seek is a government limited to control by Republicans. Thomas Massie is apparently the only exception in the House. Like former House member Ron Paul, Massie often casts the lone “no” vote on legislation. God bless him.

Posted by M. C. on February 9, 2020

Our future could rest in her hands.

Economics major and BU is proud of it.

Ok, now AOC is going way out of her way to prove she knows nothing of what she speaks.

In a video, she referred to John Maynard Keynes as the famous economist “Milton Keynes.”

Milton Keynes is actually a town 50 miles north of London.

She also pronounced Keynes wrong. When pronounced correctly it sounds like canes, she pronounced it keenz.

AOC has a degree in economics from Boston University. In the past, BU economics professors have told me they are very proud of her and the economics they have taught her.

She has since walked back her embarrassing flub by claiming she meant Milton Friedman but this explanation does not wipe out her error. She would never make the equivalent when referencing a communist. That is you are never going to hear AOC call Karl Marx, Groucho Max.

“Decarbonize” means DEPOPULATION, because humans are carbon-based organisms… AOC, Bernie Sanders are actually promoting extermination of humans –

Posted by M. C. on November 26, 2019

It may sound extreme, but that is what eugenics is…extreme.

It is all about (population) control.

Just ask Bernie.

It is just for third world countries until it isn’t.

(Natural News) Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and failed presidential candidate Bernie Sanders have together unveiled a new piece of legislation that they claim will help to “decarbonize” America’s public housing stock – which is just code for depopulation.

The “Green New Deal for Public Housing Act,” as they’re calling it, would require $180 billion in taxpayer dollars to “decarbonize the entire public housing stock in the United States of America,” according to AOC and Sanders.

“And in the process of decarbonizing the public housing stock we are going to put hundreds of thousands of people to work in good paying jobs and giving that preference to public housing residents,” AOC further explained during a public unveiling event for the bill.

“The planet is in crisis,” Sanders added, to cheers from a group of public housing residents that was bussed in from New York City to Washington, DC. “The truth is that five out of the last six years have been the warmest on record,” Sanders further contended, offering no evidence to back this claim.

All major cities will be under water in 50 years, claims Bernie Sanders

Part of the impetus behind this first of many Green New Deal initiatives is the fear that AOC and Sanders both have about our planet warming to the point that ocean levels rise and flood our major cities.

“Major cities around the world – cities like Miami, New York City, London, Shanghai, and Hong Kong will likely be under water in the next 50 years,” Sanders claims, again without any evidence to back it.

According to Sanders, the United Nations is correct in its speculation that “climate change” will soon create “over a hundred million climate refugees in search of food, water, and a minimal standard of living.”

By retrofitting America’s public housing stock with “decarbonization” in mind, not only will a climate crisis like this be averted, according to Sanders, but it will also “reduce carbon emissions equivalent to taking off of the road over one million cars,” while also supposedly creating 250,000 “good paying union jobs.”

“This will pay for itself,” claims Sanders about this Green New Deal proposal. “This is a win, win, win piece of legislation.”

“Sustainability,” “decarbonization,” and other “progressive” language all translates as fewer humans

How “decarbonizing” public housing will magically create 250,000 high-paying union jobs is anyone’s guess, as the socialist duo failed to reveal any details about how the Green New Deal for Public Housing Act will actually work. But one thing is for sure: It will most certainly involve reducing the number of human beings that are allowed to stay alive.

As Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, continues to warn, the climate change hoax is primarily about one thing: reducing the world’s population to “sustainable” levels, making the planet easier to control for eugenicists like Bernie Sanders and AOC that are promising the world to people dumb enough to vote for their ideas.

If you don’t believe us, check out a new paper, entitled, “World Scientists’ Warning of a Climate Emergency,” that was recently published in the journal BioScience. In this paper, more than 11,000 “scientists” call on governments of the world to take action by eliminating billions of people from the face of the earth – all to stop “global warming,” of course.

“In the last century or so, governments of the world have already mass murdered 262 million people,” Adams warns. “Apparently, that’s not nearly enough, according to genocidal climate scientists.”

Watch: AOC Dumbfounded as Town Hall Attendee Says We Must ‘Eat the Babies’ to Save Planet

Posted by M. C. on October 4, 2019

Another chapter in the “You Can’t Make This Stuff Up” story.

Insignificant yet amusing.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) responded to a woman at her town hall who proclaimed that we must “eat the babies” to save the world from climate change, and she urged everyone to “treat the situation compassionately.”

A clip emerged Thursday evening of Ocasio-Cortez’s town hall at the Queens Public Library, featuring a flustered woman who proclaimed that we need to “eat the babies” in order to save the planet from climate change.

“We are not going to be here for much longer because of the climate crisis,” the woman said. “We only have a few months left!”

The woman told the socialist “Squad” member that she loves her support for the Green New Deal but lamented that it is “not getting rid of fossil fuel; it’s not going to solve the problem fast enough.”

“A Swedish professor [said] we can eat dead people, but that’s not fast enough. So I think your next campaign slogan has to be this: ‘We got to start eating babies! We don’t have enough time! There is too much CO2,” the woman proclaimed.

“All of you … you are a pollutant, too much CO2,” she continued. “We have to start now, please, you are so great.”

“I’m so happy that you really are supporting New Green Deal, but it’s not enough, you know. Even if we would bomb Russia, we still have too many people,” she added. “Too much pollution, so we have to get rid of the babies! That’s a big problem. We need to eat the babies!”

“We need to treat the climate crisis with the urgency that it does present,” Ocasio-Cortez told the distressed woman.

“Luckily we have more than a few months. We do need to hit net zero in several years,” she added.

Ocasio-Cortez also responded to the clip on Twitter, reprimanding right-wing individuals for “mocking” the woman. She also used the incident to plug Medicare for All.

“We had a fabulous town hall tonight & I’ll be highlighting some moments from it,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “At one point I was concerned there was a woman in crisis & want to ensure we treat the situation compassionately.”

“Let’s not mock or make a spectacle. &let’s work on Medicare for All!” she plugged.

“This person may have been suffering from a mental condition and it’s not okay that the right-wing is mocking her and potentially make her condition or crisis worse,” Ocasio-Cortez added. “Be a decent human being and knock it off”:

It remains unclear if the woman was a genuine Ocasio-Cortez supporter or someone spoofing the socialist lawmaker.

President Donald Trump and Donald Trump Jr. reacted to the clip on Twitter:

Busted: AOC uses staged photos of herself by a chain link fence to promote her ‘Concentration Camp’ narrative – The Daily Sheeple

Posted by M. C. on June 29, 2019

You can clearly see the patrol car in the background on the opposite side of the gate where AOC is pretending to have her break down.

AOC and Cuban honeymooning de Blasio are what happens when clueless people who otherwise couldn’t be bothered are encouraged to vote.

The Daily Sheeple |

On Monday, democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was criticized for pushing photos of herself seemingly intended to help quell the blowback she’s received from equating detention centers at the United States/Mexico border with WWII-era concentration camps.

The photos were apparently taken at a Tornillo, Texas, detention center, but did not show the conditions the congresswoman was upset about, rather, the pictures were merely of Ms. Ocasio-Cortez looking sad by a chain-linked fence. Users online, many of whom identify as her supporters, mocked the “photo-op” and suggested the pictures were “staged.”

“Before [AOC] hit the national stage & was just a fairly unknown House candidate [from] NYC, she took time [away from] her campaign & came [down] to #Tornillo to protest the #tentcity housing migrant children. I made these previously unpublished [photos] a [year] ago today,” posted Ivan Pierre Aguirre, the man who took the photos of Ocasio-Cortez.

However, after she published these photos additional pictures surfaced showing her group was in fact in front of a gate with no children in sight, only slightly bewildered Border Patrol agents that appear to be wondering about the photo op that was occuring.

You can clearly see the patrol car in the background on the opposite side of the gate where AOC is pretending to have her break down.

Despite all of her rehtoric and posturing, she was one of four Democrats that voted against the House humanitarian relief bill on Tuesday.

Posted in Uncategorized | Tagged: , , | 3 Comments » What AOC’s Favorite “Socialist” Country is Really Like

Posted by M. C. on June 25, 2019

Deirdre Nansen McCloskey explains:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

A non-technical definition of “socialism” would be “bossy and obstructive and high-handed government.” Sweden certainly has a good deal of that, inspired for example by the eugenicists Gunnar and Alva Myrdal in the 1930s. Sweden, with other Protestant countries, led the world in compulsory sterilization and persecution of gays into the 1970s. It’s an example of the way the Swedes go along with their government too much, sometimes because they assume too easily that whatever is widely agreed must be right. An old Swedish woman left her worn-out frying pan in a trash container for metal packages. She was arrested for committing a crime against the environment, freed only after trial, and fined. Nice…

Swedish-government spending, true, is very high, half again as large, measured as a share of GDP, as government spending in the U.S.

But when it comes to production, socialism disappears:

Sweden in fact is pretty much as “capitalistic” as is the United States. It’s Minnesota writ large. Not writ all that large, actually, with merely 9.3 million people, many of them now foreign-born, compared with the 5.3 million Minnesotans, 10 percent of Swedish descent. Like the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Sweden is a place of private ownership and thrusting inventors, Swedish bachelor farmers and pretty generous social provision, pretty good schools (with vouchers) and terrible weather.

If “socialism” means government ownership of the means of production, which is the classic definition, Sweden never qualified. When little Sweden’s economists were second in academic standing only to big Britain’s, in the early 20th century, they were “liberal” in the European sense: free-traders opposed to central planning and governmental ownership. None of Sweden’s manufacturing or extractive industries has ever been socialized, this in contrast, for example, to the experiment after 1946 in the world’s first innovative economy, when the Labour party’s Clause IV nationalized the Bank of England, coal, inland transport, gas, steel, health services, and much else. Sweden never followed even the more modest example of America’s temporary nationalization of railways during the First World War. Sweden’s Systembolaget, the state liquor store, was sold off in 2008, as it has not yet been in all the U.S. Apoteket, the maddeningly inefficient Swedish-government drug-store monopoly, was privatized, too, praise the Lord.

But these are small potatoes. The big potatoes in Sweden are owned by reclusive millionaires worthy of Newport, R.I., or Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. Consult Stieg Larsson and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. When Saab Autos began its descent into bankruptcy, no Swede suggested that the government give the company billions on the security of its worthless stock. When Volvo became a Chinese company, no Swede objected. Compare the determination of the Bush and Obama administrations in proudly capitalist America to socialize General Motors and Chrysler — Chrysler for the second time. Or compare the plans on the left of the Democratic party to solve any problem by expanding the government instead of solving the problem, such as monopoly in the provision of U.S. health care. “In many fields,” noted a Swedish diplomat, “we have more private ownership compared to other European countries, and to America. About 80 percent of all new schools are privately run, as are the railroads and the subway system.” Compare Amtrak, with eight stops in West Virginia, compliments of Senator Robert Byrd.

AOC and Campaign Finances

Posted by M. C. on March 5, 2019

Occasional-Cortex is being investigated for violating campaign finance laws and slipping her boyfriend a few grand for consulting work.

I wonder what the boyfriend’s ‘specialty’ is. She is always smiling! Maybe he is good at laying palm branches wherever she treads.

I am wondering if this is an inside job. Pelosi isn’t too keen on promoting the Green New Deal.

Is Pelosi pissed she didn’t come up with it first. Maybe.

Is AOC putting a cloud over Pelosi’s rejuvenated star? Definitely.

One thing we know. You CAN’T tell the truth about how much a program will actually cost and that no one knows how to pay for it. When pressed for facts the fall back position is lie your ass off.

AOC has a lot to learn. She has 534 sources from which to draw. She has the makin’s to rise to the top.

It always rises to the top.
