BLM and Our ‘White Supremacist Society’ – LewRockwell

The range of allowable opinion, opinion that won’t get you demonized and called names that obviously don’t describe you but which are meant to destroy you forever, is shrinking before our eyes.

From the Tom Woods Letter:

Sometimes there’s more to an organization than its name.

People who oppose Antifa are told: “Antifa is anti-fascist — the word itself is short for ‘anti-fascist.’ If you won’t support an anti-fascist organization, you must be a fascist.”

So the possibility that there could be more to an organization than just its name is not raised.

The same goes for Black Lives Matter.

If you suggest that there might be problems with this organization, you must not think black lives matter — I mean, duh, those words are right there in the name!

The program associated with BLM extends far beyond concern for police behavior toward blacks — and even that topic is debatable, because their narrative doesn’t take differential crime rates into account.

(Yes, we do have a problem with the police, as my forthcoming eBook shows.)

I am expected to believe that the United States, among the least racist places on Earth, is really a “white supremacist” society, and that racial disparities in income and other metrics can be caused only by “racism.”

This is so stupid as to be beyond caricature, but in 2020 everyone is expected to believe it.

Thomas Sowell devoted much of his career to debunking this second-grade idiocy — particularly in his outstanding book Civil Rights: Rhetoric or Reality? — but I’ve heard some left-libertarians repeat this nonsense as if Sowell had never existed.

I was just reading the other day about the Chinese minority in Malaysia, which has been officially discriminated against for decades, and nearly half of whom have indicated a strong desire to leave the country.

This is a country where one race dominates another.

Of the 56,576 Malaysians who renounced their citizenship between 2006 and 2016, 49,864 were Chinese.

Until 2001, an official government quota system helped keep the Chinese minority out of the university system. Since then, internal quotas have done the job.

Discrimination against the Chinese minority is officially enshrined in the Malaysian constitution. Meanwhile, Malaysian politicians have urged the Chinese to “return to China” or at least “be grateful” for their lives in Malaysia.

There’s no affirmative action for the Chinese minority; the situation is exactly the reverse. There’s no gigantic legal apparatus that can destroy a firm that has not hired Chinese-Malaysians in proportion to their representation in the population.

(Meanwhile, the Chinese minority, even as it has dwindled, has managed to dominate the economy despite the discrimination, earning incomes twice as high as the national average.)

That is what racial superiority looks like, and precisely zero people in the United States are advocating anything like such a system.

Moreover, in the United States we are surely dealing with a peculiar “white supremacist” society: being called a white supremacist, far from a badge of honor, gets people fired from their jobs and reviled by everyone.

In this “white supremacist” society even the so-called “conservatives” cheer the toppling of statues that protesters dislike.

In this “white supremacist” society Japanese-American households were earning just as much as their white counterparts by 1959 — despite having been reviled during World War II — and one-third more by 1969.

Not to mention: it is surely a unique white supremacist society in which nonwhites enjoy special employment advantages, scholarships for which nobody else is eligible, and preferential treatment in academic admissions.

And what does the Borg recommend today?

More of the same.

The thing is, we’ve done all this before, and it isn’t getting to the heart of the problem.

Shelby Steele, an academic now at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, once wrote: “At the university [San Jose State] where I currently teach, the dropout rate for blacks is 72 percent, despite the presence of several academic support programs, a counseling center with black counselors, an Afro-American studies department, black faculty, administrators, and staff, a general education curriculum that emphasizes ‘cultural pluralism,’ an Educational Opportunities Program, a mentor program, a black faculty and staff association, and an administration and faculty that often announce the need to do more for black students.”

More recently, a professor at UC Berkeley released a letter to the school administration — anonymously, of course (remember, this is a very weird white supremacist society, in which the slightest criticisms of the BLM narrative are likely to get you fired) — which read, in part:

In your recent departmental emails you mentioned our pledge to diversity, but I am increasingly alarmed by the absence of diversity of opinion on the topic of the recent protests and our community response to them. In the extended links and resources you provided, I could not find a single instance of substantial counter-argument or alternative narrative to explain the under-representation of black individuals in academia or their over-representation in the criminal justice system. The explanation provided in your documentation, to the near exclusion of all others, is univariate: the problems of the black community are caused by whites, or, when whites are not physically present, by the infiltration of white supremacy and white systemic racism into American brains, souls, and institutions….

I personally don’t dare speak out against the BLM narrative, and with this barrage of alleged unity being mass-produced by the administration, tenured professoriat, the UC administration, corporate America, and the media, the punishment for dissent is a clear danger at a time of widespread economic vulnerability. I am certain that if my name were attached to this email, I would lose my job and all future jobs, even though I believe in and can justify every word I type.

The range of allowable opinion, opinion that won’t get you demonized and called names that obviously don’t describe you but which are meant to destroy you forever, is shrinking before our eyes. If you consider this something to cheer, and a development that’s likely to contribute to greater understanding, then I get your support for BLM. It is all of a piece.

However, it is quite possible to favor genuine justice for all people without buying into a cartoonish morality play that is altogether divorced from reality.

Yes, I could save myself a lot of grief if I’d just sit still in that examining chair and let them make me repeat that 2 + 2 = 5. But I wouldn’t be able to live with myself.

Niger Innis: BLM Seeks to ‘Overthrow Western Civilization,’ ‘Disrupt’ the Traditional ‘Nuclear Family’ | CNSNews

Posted by M. C. on June 10, 2020

https://cnsnews.com/article/national/susan-jones/niger-innis-blm-seeks-overthrow-western-civilization-disrupt

By Susan Jones

(CNSNews.com) – Black Lives Matter takes its guidance “from the Marxist playbook,” Niger Innis, a conservative civil rights leader and spokesman for the Congress of Racial Equality told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham Monday night.

“Variations on the Marxist theme, that’s what the bottom line is. They want to overthrow capitalism, they want to overthrow Western civilization,” including “the Western-prescribed nuclear family.”

Their agenda “has not a damn thing to do with saving black lives.”

“Look, I’m going to tell some hard truths that people are not going to want to hear,” Innis told Ingraham:

The BLM movement, Black Lives Matter movement, was founded by Alicia Garza and a number of other co-founders that were promoting a hard Marxist and LGBT agenda…And look, I don’t have a problem with people exercising their First Amendment rights.

You have the right to organize, you have the right to protest, you have the right to come up with an agenda, but I will be God damned if you use the suffering and misery of black Americans and our legacy to the United States of America as your shield and use us as cannon fodder when your agenda really has not a damn thing to do with saving black lives.

If you look at their agenda, defunding the police — that would put black lives in danger. But it’s even more than that, Laura. They have as a part of their platform on their own website that we want to disrupt — disrupt! — the Western-prescribed nuclear family.

And we all know that black Americans, African-Americans that are doing well — not just African-Americans, Americans, period, that are doing well are best when they come out of a traditional nuclear family. They seek to systematically disrupt that.

According to Innis, BLM wants to “overthrow capitalism, they want to overthrow Western civilization, and they see America as the biggest clear and present danger to fulfilling that agenda. And they’re using black people to do it,” he objected.

Innis noted the recent murders of black police officers who were trying to protect small businesses that provide jobs in the same communities that BLM pretends to support.

“Laura, it is so gross, and for all of these corporations…that give a dollar or millions of dollars to the BLM agenda, they are destroying black lives. …The irony, Laura, is that it’s the illusion of black supremacy and the reality of a Marxist agenda that will bury all of us.”

The “what we believe” section of the BLM website reads in part:

We are guided by the fact that all Black lives matter, regardless of actual or perceived sexual identity, gender identity, gender expression, economic status, ability, disability, religious beliefs or disbeliefs, immigration status, or location.

We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead.

We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence.

We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered.

We practice empathy. We engage comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts.

We make our spaces family-friendly and enable parents to fully participate with their children. We dismantle the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work “double shifts” so that they can mother in private even as they participate in public justice work.

We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.

We foster a queeraffirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).

Delingpole: ‘Churchill Was Racist’, Say BLM. Wait Till They Hear About the Guy He Beat…

Posted by M. C. on June 9, 2020

It amazes me that even intelligent people – including one or two politicians and commentators on the right who really should know better – are taking these disgusting Black Lives Matter/Antifa protests at face value, by applauding the demonstrators’ motives or even daringly admitting that they too feel sufficiently strongly about the evils of slavery to agree that the Colston statue should have been pulled down.

This violence has nothing to do with George Floyd; everything to do with the hard left’s relentless war on Western Civilisation. And thanks to the naivety, weakness and cowardice of the Establishment, the hard left is currently winning.

One this one we are ahead of the Brits for a change.

https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/06/09/the-real-reason-for-blms-attack-on-racist-churchill/

James Delingpole

Winston Churchill was a ‘racist’. Or so the Black Lives Matter graffiti says on the plinth of his statue in London’s Parliament Square which is bound to be pulled down by hard-left activists sooner or later because the police don’t seem to have that much of an appetite to save it.

Part of the problem is that the police — or at least their right-on superiors with their crappy sociology degrees from second rate universities and their Common Purpose leadership training certificates — no longer see it as their job to combat actual crime.

They now prefer to think of themselves more like glorified social workers, there to heal the wounds of a broken society by showing off their skateboarding skills at Extinction Rebellion protests and putting on makeup and rainbow lanyards to prance embarrassingly at Gay Pride festivals.

Typical of this new breed was the senior policeman we saw in Bristol, explaining why he hadn’t intervened when a bronze statue of Edward Colston, a slave trader but also one of the city’s main historic benefactors, was pulled down in broad daylight by a masked thugs.

“We made a decision. The right thing to do was to allow it to happen – because what we did not want is tension.”

But what could be more tense than a mob tearing down part of a city’s historical fabric with total impunity?

How is it a recipe for reducing tension if Bristol police are now signalling to the city’s law-abiding population that they now think it’s ‘the right thing to do’ not to intervene when criminal acts take place right under their noses?

Intervening to stop violent crime in flagrante always and inevitably involves ‘tension.’ So what the police officer — Superintendent Andy Bennett — appears to be saying here is that he no longer it considers it his job to do what most of us would consider actual policing.

Here is Superintendent Bennett caught in happier times:

And here is an unconfirmed report — from a retired Metropolitan Police officer — that rank-and-file police in Bristol wanted to intervene but were overruled by their woke superiors.

Another part of the problem is that the police have been brainwashed into imagining that the main threat to law and order and stability comes from the (largely mythical) far right — when it fact, for years, the far more significant threat comes from the hard left.

This is not, of course, a delusion unique to the police. It’s rife in academe, in the entertainment industry and across much of the mainstream media – especially in the shamelessly leftist broadcasters the BBC, Channel 4 and Sky News. This, in turn, is the result of decades of infiltration — Gramsci’s ‘Long March through the Institutions’ — by the radical left which has relentlessly pushed the propaganda message that Britain is ‘inward-looking, xenophobic and nostalgic for empire’. The left’s purpose is to ‘defame the nation and demoralise its citizens’.

Anyone who wants to understand the real motivation behind the rights should read this NaN by the irascible but occasionally on-point Pete North.

He writes:

A country that no longer believes in its founding values and has no sense of self-worth will cave into virtually any passing political fad. If the nation is attacked politically or militarily, you then have a public that will stand aside and allow it.

This is the oldest trick in the book. The Soviets knew it, the modern left knows it too. The communists played on the imperialism schtick then and now, while the modern left has long sought to associate nationalism of any kind with fascism and racism.

Anti-racism, then, is a veneer for leftists who oppose the very idea of the nation state.

North is rightly scathing about the Establishment’s complete failure to address the growing problem of this enemy within.

Successive centrist administrations have failed to stand up to an increasingly feral activist media and a worryingly censorious academic establishment. Safe spaces, trigger warnings, de-platforming etc is nothing to do with progressive values and everything to do with delegitimising even moderate voices of disagreement. That’s the truly terrifying authoritarianism in the West. It goes against the fundamental values it was built on… freedom of speech and association, and equality under the law.

Everything in the progressive agenda is aimed at dismantling nationhood, hence the creation of strains of victimhood according to gender and ethnicity.

Nor — again correctly — does he have much time for the gullible white middle-class kids willingly conspiring in their civilisation’s destruction.

The useful idiot white liberal youth who see themselves as righteous crusaders for the downtrodden minorities are doing the dirty work of communist agitators in what has become the largest global brainwashing operation of the 21st century.

Once you’ve grasped these points, the true significance of those hard-left activists’ assault on those statues becomes clear. By destroying — or trying to destroy — those statues, what they are really trying to destroy is Britain’s sense of history and, by extension, its cohesive national identity.

Sure, Winston Churchill said things about Islam and foreign races which probably wouldn’t pass muster at a contemporary Islington dinner party. But he did do one or two impressive things too, including helping to defeat Hitler.

Sure, Edward Colston profited from the slave trade but he also — as many rich men do to compensate for their guilt — donated lavishly to the port city of Bristol and helped lay the foundations for its prosperity and (at least till recently) its claim to greatness.

But the radical left doesn’t want you to know that history is nuanced and complex; all they want is to use it as an excuse for promoting guilt, division, self-hatred.

One of the reasons I have vowed never again to have any truck with the BBC is its relentless promotion of this left-wing propaganda message. I’ll never forget the episode of BBC Sunday Morning Live, a few years ago, when I had to go on to defend British history against an Islamist, a woke female historian and, of course, the presenter who shared their left-wing politics.

The only bit of British history that the Islamist seemed to know was an event called the Bengal famine. That’s because the Bengal famine is one of the radical left’s favourite historical talking points: apparently — so all good leftists and Islamists are taught — it shows Winston Churchill to have been an uncaring racist who, in 1943-44, deliberately allowed 1.5 million Bengalis to starve in an act of ‘genocide’.

This misreading of history involves an awful lot of cherry-picking. In fact, Churchill did his best to help the victims of what was initially a natural disaster (caused by a cyclone which destroyed the rice crop) exacerbated by local administrative incompetence, but there was a war on and it wasn’t easy: the Japanese occupied all the neighbouring countries which, hitherto, would have made up the shortfall; cargo shipping was in short supply and Japanese submarines made its journeys more perilous and uncertain.

Afterwards, I felt tainted by having participated in this charade. Britain has one of the world’s most extraordinary histories, which include some of Western civilisation’s greatest achievements. Yet here was the BBC promoting a chippy Islamist nobody who was perfectly frank about hating the country, and enabling his toxic views to be backed up by one of its battery of woke female historians who knew perfectly well that her job was to witter on about how important it was that British children should be taught about the more shameful episodes in their country’s past.

Why Do the Postal Service, USDA, EPA, And Department of Agriculture Need SWAT Teams?

Military-Style Units From Government Agencies That Have No Association with National Security are Wreaking Havoc on Non-Violent Citizens

Kristan T. Harris | The Rundown Live

All throughout the United States there are government agencies who have no association with national security acquiring military-like equipment, according to news talk KFLD.

Many agencies are also receiving SWAT teams including the Department of Agriculture, the Railroad Retirement Board, the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Office of Personnel Management, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Education Department.

In almost prophetic fashion Ron Paul in a 1997 warned about the militarization of federal bureaucrats; including the BLM, which was not yet armed.

“All government power is ultimately gun power and serves the interests of those who despise or do not comprehend the principles of liberty,” said Dr. Paul.  “The gun in the hands of law-abiding citizens serves to hold in check arrogant and aggressive government. Guns in the hands of the bureaucrats do the opposite. The founders of this country fully understood this fact.”

Which is exactly what we are seeing today with the over militarization of government agencies that have no reason to be armed.

The USDA has used its new military power to threaten people who grow lemon trees; force large fines on people for selling bunnies; confiscate grapes for no real reason; and ruin the livelihoods of small farmers.

One USDA SWAT team even seized bees privately owned that were proven resistant to Monsanto’s GMO Roundup and killed all remaining Queens. This shows the incestuous relationship between crooked corporations like George Soro’s Monsanto and government agencies.

The USDA is not alone in it’s abuse of power. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have recently used their swat teams to bully Americans for lobbyist interests or to punish political enemies.

Given the nations current debt, which approaching 20 trillion dollars, it seems like a foolish investment and wasteful to tax payers to buy all these unnecessary military equipment.

Why does US Department of Agriculture (USDA) need submachine guns? The agency’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) is requesting .40 Caliber semiautomatic submachine guns along with 320,000 rounds of hollow point ammo.

Why is the US Postal Service soliciting proposals for assorted small arms ammunition?

Why has the Social Security Administration requested 174,000 rounds of hollow-point bullets?

Why does the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which oversees the National Weather Service, need 46,000 rounds of hollow point ammo?

For what purpose does the EPA need a SWAT team?

Why do colleges need MRAPS and militarized campus police?

Why are government agencies raiding non-violent citizens? Al Armendariz, the regional administrator who was video-taped saying the EPAs “philosophy” is to “crucify” and “make examples” of US energy producers.

Why Not Eliminate Both Departments? – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on August 14, 2019

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2019/08/laurence-m-vance/why-not-eliminate-both-departments/

By

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced plans to move its Economic Research Service and National Institute of Food and Agriculture out of Washington, D.C., to the Kansas City metropolitan area.

The USDA, established in 1862, “is made up of 29 agencies and offices with nearly 100,000 employees who serve the American people at more than 4,500 locations across the country and abroad.” It provides “leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development, nutrition, and related issues based on public policy, the best available science, and effective management.” Its vision is “to provide economic opportunity through innovation, helping rural America to thrive; to promote agriculture production that better nourishes Americans while also helping feed others throughout the world; and to preserve our Nation’s natural resources through conservation, restored forests, improved watersheds, and healthy private working lands.”

The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) has announced plans to move the headquarters of its Bureau of Land Management (BLM) out of Washington, D.C., to Grand Junction in western Colorado.

The DOI, established in 1849, “conserves and manages the Nation’s natural resources and cultural heritage for the benefit and enjoyment of the American people, provides scientific and other information about natural resources and natural hazards to address societal challenges and create opportunities for the American people, and honors the Nation’s trust responsibilities or special commitments to American Indians, Alaska Natives, and affiliated island communities to help them prosper.” It “manages the Nation’s public lands and minerals, including providing access to more than 480 million acres of public lands, 700 million acres of subsurface minerals, and 1.7 billion acres of the Outer Continental Shelf.” It “is the steward of 20 percent of the Nation’s lands, including national parks, national wildlife refuges, and other public lands; manages resources that supply 30 percent of the Nation’s energy; supplies and manages water in the 17 Western States and supplies 15 percent of the Nation’s hydropower energy.”

I have a better idea. Instead of moving agencies of the USDA and the DOI, why not eliminate both departments?

The existence of the USDA cannot be justified in any way by the Constitution. The Constitution nowhere authorizes the federal government to have anything to do with agriculture, food, farm subsidies, food stamps, loans to farmers, agricultural price supports, food distribution, food inspection, nutrition guidelines, or school breakfast and lunch programs.

Farming is an occupation and a business. It comes with risks and uncertainties just like any other business. There is nothing special about agriculture that necessitates that the federal government be involved in it in any way.

The DOI includes a diverse number of agencies:

  • Bureau of Indian Affairs
  • Bureau of Indian Education
  • Bureau of Land Management
  • Bureau of Ocean Energy Management
  • Bureau of Reclamation
  • Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement
  • National Park Service
  • Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement
  • U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
  • U.S. Geological Survey

There is no constitutional authority for the federal government to have anything to do with fish and wildlife, minerals and mining, operating parks, or supplying water and power. The main problem is simply that the federal government still owns too much land…

  • 28.6% of Washington
  • 29% of Montana
  • 35.4% of New Mexico
  • 38.7% of Arizona
  • 45.9% of California
  • 53% of Oregon
  • 61.3% of Alaska
  • 61.6% of Idaho
  • 63.1% of Utah
  • 79.6% of Nevada…

Republicans used to talk about eliminating federal departments, agencies, bureaus, commissions, and corporations. But when they gained control of the White House and a majority in the House and Senate they did absolutely nothing to limit the size or scope of government. They actually made things worse with their creation of the monstrous Department of Homeland Security.

The Departments of Agriculture and the Interior don’t need some of their agencies moved, they need to eliminated in their entirety.

Pardon the Bundy Family and their Supporters

Government by the government and for the government – Especially if you are a Senator or Senator’s son.

https://stonecoldtruth.com/pardon-the-bundy-family-and-their-supporters/

The fact that the Bundy family would not leave their ancestral land helped cause the Reid-Chinese solar deal to fall apart, which incensed Senator “Pinky” Reid, who then determined to use the full might and force of Federal Law Enforcement to bring terror down upon the Bundy Family’s heads

Here we have the BLM, the EPA, and the FBI threatening death, stealing land by fiat, and slaughtering livestock while laughing about it. We have allowed our public servants to become modern-day robbers. Read the rest of this entry »

Clive Bundy and Freedom Win, Harry Reid, His Son and Big Government Lose

Cliven Bundy gets his cattle back as InfoWars exposes the connection between Harry Reid and the Chinese company his son represents.

The Bureau of Land management did not care about tortoises, they wanted Cliven Bundy’s land for a solar panel farm.

Back in 2012, the New American reported that Harry Reid’s son, Rory Reid, was the chief representative for a Chinese energy firm planning to build a $5-billion solar plant on public land in Laughlin, Nevada.

And journalist Marcus Stern with Reuters also reported that Sen. Reid was heavily involved in the deal as well. Read the rest of this entry »
