Warparty Whores

ROLL CALL

WASHINGTON — Here’s how area members of Congress voted on major issues during the legislative week ending Jan. 10.

House

Asserting congressional control over war with Iran:

The House on Thursday voted 224-194 to require the administration to obtain advance congressional approval for military actions against Iran or its proxy forces except when there is an imminent threat to the United States, its armed forces or territories. The measure invoked the 1973 War Powers Resolution, which asserts the power of Congress to declare war under Article I of the Constitution. The war-powers law has never been successfully used to end hostilities abroad.

Last year, the House and Senate invoked it to end America’s military involvement in Yemen’s civil war, but President Trump vetoed the measure. U.S.

Rep. Mike Kelly, R-16th Dist.: No. U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson, R-15th Dist. :

No.

Kelly and Thompson are warparty water carriers. The funny part is “an imminent threat to the United States, its armed forces“. We have military bases covering the entire planet. Anything that happens can be contorted to represent a threat to armed forces or embassies.

Regulating cancer-linked “PFAS” chemicals: Voting 247-159, the House on Friday passed a bill (HR 535) that would give the Environmental Protection Agency one year to designate a class of chemicals known as “PFAS” for coverage by the federal Superfund law, which requires abandoned toxic sites to be cleaned up and imposes retroactive liability on those responsible for the pollution. The designation would require cleanup actions near scores of military bases and manufacturing sites throughout the United States where PFAS compounds have leached into groundwater and drinking water. The bill also would require the EPA to set standards for PFAS air emissions and levels in drinking water. PFAS are perfluoroalkyl and polyfl uoroalkyl substances included in firefighting foam used at airports and military installations and in nonstick cookware and some personal care and household products. The compounds have been linked to kidney, liver, testicular and pancreatic cancers; infertility; weakened immune systems and impaired childhood development. Kelly: No.

Thompson: No.

would require cleanup actions near scores of military bases

Kelly and Thompson are warparty water carriers. The US government is one of the worst polluters. Think US groundwater, cancer rates in Subic Bay or Middle East burn pits. It cares not for innocents nor it’s own soldiers.

Military-Style Units From Government Agencies That Have No Association with National Security are Wreaking Havoc on Non-Violent Citizens

Kristan T. Harris | The Rundown Live

All throughout the United States there are government agencies who have no association with national security acquiring military-like equipment, according to news talk KFLD.

Many agencies are also receiving SWAT teams including the Department of Agriculture, the Railroad Retirement Board, the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Office of Personnel Management, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Education Department.

In almost prophetic fashion Ron Paul in a 1997 warned about the militarization of federal bureaucrats; including the BLM, which was not yet armed.

“All government power is ultimately gun power and serves the interests of those who despise or do not comprehend the principles of liberty,” said Dr. Paul.  “The gun in the hands of law-abiding citizens serves to hold in check arrogant and aggressive government. Guns in the hands of the bureaucrats do the opposite. The founders of this country fully understood this fact.”

Which is exactly what we are seeing today with the over militarization of government agencies that have no reason to be armed.

The USDA has used its new military power to threaten people who grow lemon trees; force large fines on people for selling bunnies; confiscate grapes for no real reason; and ruin the livelihoods of small farmers.

One USDA SWAT team even seized bees privately owned that were proven resistant to Monsanto’s GMO Roundup and killed all remaining Queens. This shows the incestuous relationship between crooked corporations like George Soro’s Monsanto and government agencies.

The USDA is not alone in it’s abuse of power. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have recently used their swat teams to bully Americans for lobbyist interests or to punish political enemies.

Given the nations current debt, which approaching 20 trillion dollars, it seems like a foolish investment and wasteful to tax payers to buy all these unnecessary military equipment.

Why does US Department of Agriculture (USDA) need submachine guns? The agency’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) is requesting .40 Caliber semiautomatic submachine guns along with 320,000 rounds of hollow point ammo.

Why is the US Postal Service soliciting proposals for assorted small arms ammunition?

Why has the Social Security Administration requested 174,000 rounds of hollow-point bullets?

Why does the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which oversees the National Weather Service, need 46,000 rounds of hollow point ammo?

For what purpose does the EPA need a SWAT team?

Why do colleges need MRAPS and militarized campus police?

Why are government agencies raiding non-violent citizens? Al Armendariz, the regional administrator who was video-taped saying the EPAs “philosophy” is to “crucify” and “make examples” of US energy producers.

EPA Shuts Down Real Mine for Its Hypothetical Pollution

Posted by M. C. on May 12, 2019

https://www.garynorth.com/public/19481.cfm

Gary North – May 11, 2019

Ever alert to possible environmental problems, the Environmental Protection Agency has closed a mine in Alaska under the Clean Water Act. The mine was not polluting anything. It had not yet begun operations. But the EPA thought that it could, in theory, pollute. So, the EPA shut it down.

“Nip it in the bud!”

Under the Clean Water Act, operations that dump “dredge or fill materials” into wetlands, rivers, lakes, or streams are required to obtain a Section 404 permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The EPA can revoke this permit if there are “unacceptable adverse impacts on municipal water supplies, shellfish beds and fishery areas, wildlife, or recreational areas.”However, the watershed assessment did not evaluate any actual plans for the Pebble Mine, as none have been put forward, instead it evaluates a hypothetical mine.

This is a new policy for the EPA.

This policy will raise the risk of preliminary development for all mining. This is ideal for destroying mining in the United States.

This is the goal of the environmental movement’s public spokesmen. They hate capitalism. They hate economic growth. Whatever the members think about these matters, the environmental movement as a political special-interest group is anti-growth.

The EPA is now clearly in the movement’s hip pocket.

Name One Government Agency that Doesn’t Do the Exact Opposite of its Purpose | The Daily Bell

Posted by M. C. on December 10, 2018

Without an EPA, people would depend on a marketplace of organizations for information about products like Monsanto’s. And even if these organizations didn’t have the power to ban the chemicals, they could inform the market and hit Monsanto where it hurts, the wallet.

https://www.thedailybell.com/all-articles/news-analysis/name-one-government-agency-that-doesnt-do-the-exact-opposite-of-its-purpose/

By Joe Jarvis

A DEA agent is accused of facilitating drug trafficking in the regions he oversaw in Florida and Arkansas. He allegedly traded inside information to drug runners in exchange for cash.

Drugs are illegal. But you can still run drugs with the right person being paid off. And you can do it for very little money–this agent got around $62,000 from one dealer for his role.

That is enough money to easily corrupt an individual, but a small price to pay compared to how much a drug dealer can make. Especially when you have the DEA looking the other way and giving you a heads up before raids.

But this isn’t surprising. We have heard the same story a thousand times before. This is how the government operates.

Monsanto is one of the worst environmental offenders, besides the government itself. Their flagship product Roundup is blamed for mass die-offs of honey bees and has been linked to cancer.

Monsanto got its start making chemicals for the military and later moved into pesticides. But their crony-relationship remained. Read the rest of this entry »

Delingpole: Christmas Is Here, Everyone! EPA Officials Are ‘Leaving in Droves’

Posted by M. C. on December 22, 2017

…its allegiance is to the UN and implementation of the policies of Sustainable Development via Agenda 21.

No Kidding!  The international/Soros/UN environmental movement is meant to be a ball and chain on US. No one expects Russia, China, India nor third world countries to adhere to any constraining policies.

Indeed, it is expected that the US carry water for (give tax dollars) developing nations.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/12/22/delingpole-christmas-is-here-everyone-epa-officials-are-leaving-in-droves/

Previous Republican presidents – such as the Bushes – were far too squishy to dare reform it.

Democrat presidents, most notably Obama, used it as a way of bypassing Congress and imposing on the U.S. a United-Nations-driven globalist agenda almost entirely inimical to the interests of American citizens.

As Dennis Ambler argued at the time in this Science and Public Policy paper Read the rest of this entry »

Unprecedented Lawsuit Could End Water Fluoridation in US

Posted by M. C. on June 14, 2017

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2017/06/13/ban-artificial-water-fluoridation.aspx

Story at-a-glance

  • Fluoride Action Network (FAN) is among a coalition of environmental, medical and health groups suing the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to ban artificial water fluoridation
  • The EPA has been served with a petition that includes more than 2,500 pages of scientific documentation detailing the risks of water fluoridation to human health
  • New study quantifies fluoride’s potential to lower IQ in children. There are now over 100 animal studies and over 50 human studies proving fluoride’s neurotoxicity, prompting the U.S. government to fund new studies

The government we worship made us ingest fluoride for our own good because we were too damn dumb to take care of ourselves.  What happened? Read the rest of this entry »

E-15 Gas – Corn holed For Your Own Good

Posted by M. C. on September 27, 2012

I have heard it takes as much energy to make a gallon of corn-gas as it generates in our cars. This is actually a net loss. There is not as much energy available per gallon (ask any USAC Sprint Car or Indycar Mechanic) so mileage drops. The reduced availability of corn as a food stuff has created havoc in world food market. Read the rest of this entry »

Associated Press Says Coal Use Down-Leaves Out Part About Obama Vow

Posted by M. C. on June 17, 2012

The AP story in today’s Erie Times tells us how electric companies are changing from coal to natural gas. The obedient lamestream AP has in its usual manner left out half the story. There is the Obama vow to crush the that somehow was not mentioned.

Then there are the EPA regs that are forcing mines to shut down. And the hold(up) on issuing dig permits.

Unfortunately the natural gas alternative the administration is pushing will rely on fracking. A technology I am not sure bodes well for ground water. But no worries. The central planners know what is best, more than the energy companies, more than the marketplace and of course more than you or me.
