Global Warming Has Made Gulf Stream Slowest in 1,600 Years, and That Could Impact Our Weather

Posted by M. C. on April 17, 2018

WeatherUnderground-Taking care of busine$$

If we do not rapidly stop global warming…

How? By telling the sun to stop cooling? Oh it’s already doing that.

“We are only beginning to understand the consequences of this unprecedented process –

But they have the cause down pat-Man made global warming.

A separate study, also released Wednesday in the journal Nature, claims the 150-year slowdown of the AMOC is a result of natural changes, not man-made climate change. But both conclude the slowdown is occurring, and it could impact our weather in the coming years.

At the bottom of the article where it belongs.

Sean Breslin

For years, scientists have studied a spot in the North Atlantic Ocean that has bucked the trend of a warming world. Now, they know what impact this colder-than-average region is having on the Gulf Stream. Read the rest of this entry »

Scientific American Says ‘Chill Out’ over Global Warming

Posted by M. C. on March 13, 2018

The answer is likely somewhere in the middle, wherever that is…

Apocalyptic scenarios attributed to global warming are simply false and the human race will be able to accommodate whatever “climate change” throws at us, claims a remarkably sober new essay in Scientific American.

The essay, penned by John Horgan, the director of the Center for Science Writings at the Stevens Institute of Technology, analyzes two recent reports by “ecomodernists” who reject climate panic and frame the question of climate change and humanity’s ability to cope with it in radically new terms.

One of the reports, a work called “Enlightened Environmentalism” by Harvard iconoclast Steven Pinker, urges people to regain some much-needed perspective on climate, especially in the context of the overwhelming material benefits of industrialization. Read the rest of this entry »

Schwarzenegger used private jet for daily commutes to California’s governor’s mansion

Posted by M. C. on March 12, 2018

Schwarzenegger is out AlGoring Al Gore.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is going after modern energy use claiming specifically that he wants to take oil companies to court “for knowingly killing people all over the world” through alleged “global warming” impacts. See: Schwarzenegger to Sue Big Oil for ‘First Degree Murder’

But before Schwarzenegger files his court case against oil companies, he may have to prepare to appear as a defendant in his own case! Read the rest of this entry »

Delingpole: NOAA Caught Adjusting Big Freeze out of Existence

Posted by M. C. on February 20, 2018

Good enough for government work.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has yet again been caught exaggerating  ‘global warming’ by fiddling with the raw temperature data.

This time, that data concerns the recent record-breaking cold across the northeastern U.S. which NOAA is trying to erase from history.

If you believe NOAA’s charts, there was nothing particularly unusual about this winter’s cold weather which caused sharks to freeze in the ocean and iguanas to drop out of trees.

Here is NOAA’s January 2018 chart for Northeast U.S. – an area which includes New England along with NY, PA, NJ, DE and MD. Read the rest of this entry »

Cleaning Up Air Pollution May Strengthen Global Warming

Posted by M. C. on January 22, 2018

Uh Oh! Someone forgot that the science is settled!

Using Algorean obfuscation to keep that grant money rolling in.

What about solar cooling and low sunspot activity?

Pollution in the atmosphere is having an unexpected consequence, scientists say—it’s helping to cool the climate, masking some of the global warming that’s occurred so far.

That means efforts worldwide to clean up the air may cause an increase in warming, as well as other climate effects, as this pollution disappears… Read the rest of this entry »

People of the Lie – by Robert Ringer

Posted by M. C. on December 4, 2017

That said, I would suggest it’s a good idea to keep in mind Ronald Reagan’s admonition that government is not the solution to our problem, but, rather, government is the problem.  Then, once this reality is firmly entrenched in your mind, the challenge is to plan your life accordingly.

The most masterful perpetrators of The Big Lie are those who wear personality masks intended to deceive.  They are, in the words of M. Scott Peck, “People of the Lie.”

A few examples include:

  • Media personalities who posit themselves as professional commentators while relentlessly pushing their hate-inspired agendas. They are, in fact, People of the Lie.
  • Politicians who cast themselves as champions of “women’s rights,” defenders of the “middle class,” or protectors of “the poor” in an effort to win votes. They are, in fact, People of the Lie.
  • Those who justify the use of violence by claiming to be in hot pursuit of “social justice.” They are, in fact, People of the Lie.
  • Et al.

Al Gore’s New Group Demands $15 Trillion To Fight Global Warming

Posted by M. C. on April 25, 2017

Read more:

Strictly out of the goodness of his pea pickin’ Kentucky heart, Al wants to save us from ourselves like every good progressive.

The Energy Transitions Commission’s (ETC) report claims “additional investments of around $300-$600 billion per annum do not pose a major macroeconomic challenge,” which they say will help the world meet the goals laid out in the Paris agreement.

ETC is made up of energy executives, activist leaders and investment bankers, including former Vice President Al Gore, who would no doubt get a piece of the trillions of dollars they are calling for. Read the rest of this entry »

Global Warming is About Destroying Capitalism? | Armstrong Economics

Posted by M. C. on February 4, 2017

This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.”
Dick Fox, my friend and Chairman of Temple, began to lead them on to get the truth behind their movement. Low and behold, they too admitted it was not about the environment, but to reduce population growth. Dick then asked them, “Whose grandchild are we trying to prevent from being born? Your’s or mine?”

And you thought eugenics was a made up word from a Star Trek movie. It has been around a long time. Mrs. Bubba’s hero Margaret Sanger was a eugenicist. The government was to decide who was undesirable and a candidate for sterilization. Environmentalism, begun by groups like the Club of Rome, was nothing more than a new false front program to control how the unwashed masses, you and me, should live.

This what the Progressive movement is about. Their deciding what is best for the rest of us.

Global Warming As A Wealth Redistribution Tool and The Anti-Trinity

Posted by M. C. on March 17, 2015

Wealth redistribution: Stealing money you worked hard to earn and giving it to someone who didn’t.

Environmentalism sprung from the early 20th century progressive movement. The same people who gave us the minimum wage, Jim Crow and family “planning”. See here.

Progressivism was designed to put the screws to those deemed a threat. First it was the low wage tolerant immigrant who would take work and prosperity away from WASPs. Minimum wage was to take care of that problem. Jim Crow specifically targeted the black man.. Parallel to this was family planning as espoused by Margret Sanger. Those whom we call challenged today were considered a drain on society. Abortion and sterilization were cures to that societal malady.

Out of this evolved the environmental movement where man in general was the bad guy. Man, the earth’s parasite according to David Attenborough.

Walter Williams reminds us here of the “settled” science of global warming where not so long ago the great fear was the coming ice age. Read the rest of this entry »

Global Warming’s IPCC-We Were Really Sure, Now We Are Really, Really Sure

Posted by M. C. on September 29, 2013

Volcanos can destroy a summer in the 1800’s and emit tremendous amounts of CO2 in the 21st century. Both without raising the temperature. Whoda thunk it. Not the IPCC.

The big global warming news from the IPCC/UN is they are 95% sure global warming is man-made. So far lots of sound bites but little substance.

The IPCC still cannot explain the 15 years hiatus in global temperature rise yet “each decade has been warmer than the last”. I just can’t follow the logic.

Here is their excuse explanation:

The IPCC model simulations are projections and not predictions; in other words the models do not start from the state of the climate system today or even 10 years ago. There is no mileage in a story about models being ‘flawed’ because they did not predict the pause; it’s merely a misunderstanding of the science and the difference between a prediction and a projection.

Because the models cannot explain the past that is just a misunderstanding but we must believe what the models predict for the future. It made sense to global warming cheerleader BBC whose video of the UN news conference had Professor Mann’s, of Penn State, much maligned hockey stick front and center. BBC-Hast thou no shame? The answer is No.

Oh, but the science has advanced. We are to disregard the past analysis that doesn’t suit the grand plan. What about the raw data and the data gathering techniques of the past? What of their validity? Why should we then trust data from 1900 or 1950?

Now we have discovered the ocean. The heat energy we haven’t been seeing is hidden deep in the ocean. I know there is a current in the Atlantic that is like a conveyor belt. I am guessing this is what the “experts” are talking about. Somehow the heat trapped by the CO2 in the atmosphere travels through the air without heating it, gets absorbed by the ocean and is hidden in the depths. This heat energy then escapes the current and remains in Davy Jones locker.

This phenomenon has suddenly reared its head in the last fifteen years of the industrial revolution. Where was this deep ocean phenomena in the 70’s when we were being told a new ice age was on the way? Just a misunderstanding I suppose.

Remember the misunderstandings brought forth by the climategate emails? Such as the inability of IPCC computer models to explain the two great temperature increases of the last thousand years. Like we have said before there was a reason Greenland was called Greenland.

Mother Nature has been at work for 12 or so billion years. I doubt she has quit her job.

All this new climate analysis has of course been thoroughly peer-reviewed. About time, as we know from the climate gate emails that was previously not the case. I am sure none of the reviewers were hand-picked climate scientists whose livelihoods are dependant on flow of Progressive’s grant money,

Just to add a little spice to the discussion here is Ian Rutherford Pilmer claiming volcanic activity negates much of our anti-climate change efforts. He is controversial but volcanos have wrecked havoc in the recent past. Such as the year without a summer.

Volcanoes can destroy a summer in the 1800’s and emit tremendous amounts of CO2 in the 21st century. Both without raising the temperature. Whoda thunk it. Not the IPCC.

Be seeing you
