Europe vs. Trump – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on June 3, 2017

https://lewrockwell.com/2017/06/eric-margolis/europe-vs-trump/

As the recently deceased thinker Zbigniew Brezezinski  aptly put it to me,  Europe provides strategic ‘stepping-stones’ to the expansion of US influence into Eurasia through NATO.  The alliance is not an equal partnership, it’s the primary tool for enforcing US power in Europe.

TGIF: The Real Danger from Trump Is Ignored | The Libertarian Institute

Posted by M. C. on May 21, 2017

https://www.libertarianinstitute.org/articles/sheldon/tgif-real-danger-trump-ignored/

a story with far more ominous implications is being ignored. I refer to Trump’s trip, beginning today, to Saudi Arabia and Israel.

The two most destabilizing countries in the Middle East are Saudi Arabia and Israel.

Once you grasp that concept you have a good start on figuring out who is the third most destabilizing country. Read the rest of this entry »

While speaking with the Washington Post’s “Cape Up” podcast, Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) stated, “I believe that this president has colluded with the Russians,” and vowed to “keep working until he’s impeached.” Later in the interview, she admitted that she hasn’t seen any evidence to back up the collusion charge.

Capehart followed up by asking Waters if she had seen evidence to back up the collusion charges. Waters answered, “No, we have not…

One thing you can say about Maxine, she maintains her standards of integrity. Read the rest of this entry »

Is Our Political Class Mentally Ill?

Regarding dropping the Mother Of All Bombs MOAB

Over at the Washington Post, David Ignatius, the CIA’s journalistic front man, says he’s “becoming a credible foreign policy leader.” Ruth Marcus opines that we’re witnessing “the normalization of Donald Trump.” Finally, she enthuses, “rationality is dawning” on the forty-fifth President! Among the liberal elite, the hosannas were well nigh universal. As Ann Coulter noted: Read the rest of this entry »

President Trump, with respect, start ruthlessly purging the U.S. general officer corps | Non-Intervention.com

Posted by M. C. on April 12, 2017

http://non-intervention.com/2702/president-trump-with-respect-start-ruthlessly-purging-the-u-s-general-officer-corps/

They are incompetent and, apparently, shoddily educated men and women. One example should suffice. They have been waging war, at various levels of intensity, against Islamists since Osama bin Laden’s declaration of war in 1996, and they have lost on every field of battle on which they have engaged the Islamists. Mr. President, did you know that our Islamist enemies are not professionally trained soldiers; that they are armed almost entirely with small arms, some of Korean War vintage; that they have no air cover or naval support; and that their funding, supply lines, and safe havens are always at risk? Did you know that this is the kind of paramilitary force that has consistently humiliated the United States and its military for two decades, one that has forced your canting generals to obliquely admit to being losers and fantasists with the words like “There is no military solution to this conflict” and “The Islamists have nothing to do with Islam”.

–They are thoroughgoing liars. Again, one example will suffice. Since at least 2003-2004, every Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and every U.S. general officer commanding in Afghanistan, has told the American people that: (1) the remnants of the Taleban, al-Qaeda, and other Islamist groups were being eliminated; (2) that our democracy- and nation-building efforts were bearing durable results; and (3) that the Afghan military was on the verge of being able to defend its country with minimal foreign assistance. Each statement was a transparent lie every time it was spoken, and the general officers who spoke them knew they were lies. Today, the truth is that al-Qaeda, the Islamic State, and the Taleban are thriving in Afghanistan, while the Afghan government and its military are collapsing. No number of additional lies will save either. Are these dishonest men and women the ones you are going to trust to restore America’s greatness? They are much more likely to again cover the republic in infamy.

The anti-war movement is essentially dead. There are too many sheeple willing to be lead over the cliff.

Be seeing you

The Useful and the Useless, by Robert Gore

The Useful and the Useless, by Robert Gore

Centralization serves the needs of government and its dependents. Honest production and exchange require little government, perhaps none at all.

It will come as a surprise to many, but governments cannot suspend reality. Their arsenal, when things break down, comes down to their arsenal: the capacity to coerce. Violence or its threat enables governments to exact compliance. Proponents of government power invariably see themselves exercising it. Once the ship hits the iceberg, it will be obvious that governments’ guns are not wands, freeing citizens from the necessity of producing as much or more than they consume. They cannot compel innovators to innovate or producers to produce. While coercive power comes from one end of a gun, none of the powers that produce progress (and the gun) magically materialize at the other end. Read the rest of this entry »

Trump Budget: ‘Eliminate Funding’ For Public Radio, TV, and Arts Give-aways

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/03/16/trump-budget-eliminate-funding-for-public-radio-tv-and-arts-give-a-ways/

I am all for ending the giveaways but what is this nonsense about rebuilding the military?  That is like using taxpayer money to rebuild the mafia.  Which we likely do occasionally depending on what needs done.

We spend more on our military than most of the world put together now.  Read the rest of this entry »

The Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity : Trump’s ISIS Plan: Another US Invasion?

Posted by M. C. on February 21, 2017

http://ronpaulinstitute.org/archives/featured-articles/2017/february/20/trump-s-isis-plan-another-us-invasion/

As we approach the president’s deadline it looks like the military is going to present Trump with a plan to do a whole lot more of what we’ve been doing and somehow expect different results. Proving the old saying that when all you have is a hammer everything looks like a nail, we are hearing increasing reports that the military will recommend sending thousands of US troops into Syria and Iraq.
