Free Money

A recent letter commented on Romney’s tax (Romney’s Plan Doesn’t Add Up) plan in Sunday’s Erie Times. The writer says it doesn’t add up. He is right. No one’s does. He says lowering taxes won’t cut the deficit. Right again if you assume the economy won’t take a jump as it did after the Bush II cuts. It is apparent to me that government has grown into a monster. Between the government, the FED and the (taxpayer-funded) military industrial complex things are a mess. The solution isn’t raise taxes but reduce government, drastically. How is this for radical – don’t raise Warren Buffet’s taxes but lower his secretary’s! The writer says we shouldn’t give out “free money” by lowering taxes. Free Money! Wow! He doesn’t seem to realize taxes are obtained through government armed theft from honest workers usually before they even have a chance to see it. I don’t see how stealing money from industrious souls to be mismanaged by an incompetent government helps anyone. “Free money”, “government money”, “quantitative easing”, taxes…it is all theft.
Be seeing you

Lowering tax rates, but off-setting it with reductions in exemptions, deductions, and tax credits is going to help the rich but not the middle class. It is an economy of scale and no one has called Romney on it. The rich want lower rates but don’t care much about exemptions, deductions, and credits. They, for the most part, can’t even use most of them. These are tricks in the tax code to placate the sheeple. Once the mega-rich have taken everything possible from the rest of us, the dam will be allowed to break and any veneer of trust left in the government will wash away.
The biggest tax in the history of the world is in the incubator right now. It is QE1, 2, and 3. The Fed is taking our money and using it to keep interest rates artificially low. We are buying our own debt since few others will. The price to be paid for this is going to be staggering. Bernie Madoff went to prison for essentially the same thing.
It won’t be long before the sheeple will know what the hollow points are for.
