Biden Says ‘Rule Is Simple”: Get Vaccinated Or Wear A Mask Until You Do | ZeroHedge

Posted by M. C. on May 14, 2021

As businesses and states resort to bribing people to take the COVID-19 vaccine, the benevolent Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in their ever-scientific wisdom is dangling yet another ‘freedom‘ carrot above our heads; those who are fully vaccinated will be able to combat pro-mask Karens by officially easing indoor mask-wearing guidance – just two weeks after they said the exact opposite.

Update (1640ET): Building on the White House and CDC announcement, President Biden tweeted on Thursday that “The new rule is simple: get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do.”

“The choice is yours.”

The rule is now simple: get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do.

The choice is yours. — President Biden (@POTUS) May 13, 2021

In other words, if you’re wearing a mask in public you’re now an anti-vaxxer who Biden has told his followers to ‘treat with kindness and respect.’

Pres. Biden: If you see someone in a mask, “please treat them with kindness and respect.”

Update (1430ET): Shortly after AP reported that fully vaccinated people can shed their masks indoors with a ton of exceptions, the White House announced that “If you’re fully vaccinated, you do not need to wear a mask – indoors or outdoors, in most settings.”

Annnnnnnnnd now they’re walking it back. There are exceptions for travel, where masks are still recommended. Sounds like a healthcare exemption, too. — Josh Wingrove (@josh_wingrove) May 13, 2021

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky

According to the Associated Press, “The new guidance will still call for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters, but could ease restrictions for reopening workplaces and schools. It will also no longer recommend that fully vaccinated people wear masks outdoors in crowds.”

Oh.

So you can lose the mask if you’re going to work or school, but will still need to wear one if you’re around other people indoors, which apparently doesn’t apply to workplaces or schools. Make sense?

The announcement comes as the CDC and the Biden administration have faced pressure to ease restrictions on fully vaccinated people — people who are two weeks past their last required COVID-19 vaccine dose — in part to highlight the benefits of getting the shot.

The eased guidance comes two weeks after the CDC recommended that fully vaccinated people continue to wear masks indoors in all settings and outdoors in large crowds.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the director of the CDC, was set to announce the new guidance on Thursday afternoon at a White House briefing.

During a virtual meeting Tuesday on vaccinations with a bipartisan group of governors, President Joe Biden appeared to acknowledge that his administration had to do more to model the benefits of vaccination. -AP

“I would like to say that we have fully vaccinated people; we should start acting like it,” said Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) in a statement to Biden. “And that’s a big motivation get the unvaccinated to want to to get vaccinated.”

“Good point,” a fully Biden responded. “we’re going to be moving on that in the next little bit.”

EconomicPolicyJournal.com: Council of Economic Advisers Goes Woke and Calls for Massive New Government Control and Spending

Posted by M. C. on May 14, 2021

Further, they fail to understand another crucial point that Hayek made. This one in Chapter 10 of his book The Road to Serfdom. In the chapter, Hayek makes clear that the planned society results in the worst getting on top.

When you create government power centers, be it for new technologies, family support, education or whatever, the most evil will do what it takes to get close to such power and twist the power for their own benefit.

This is the horrifying direction that the CEA is justifying in this Brief.

https://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2021/05/council-of-economic-advisers-goes-woke.html

The Biden Administration Council of Economic Advisers has issued a Brief attempting to justify more government spending, a greater role for the government in the economy, mixed with woke positioning.

Some key snippets from the horrific paper (COUNCIL OF ECONOMIC ADVISERS ISSUE BRIEFMAY 2021):

The opening pargarapgh:

For the past four decades, the view that lower taxes, less spending, and fewer regulations would generate stronger economic growth has exerted substantial influence on U.S. public policy. Over this period, the United States has underinvested in public goods such as infrastructure and innovation, and gains from growth have accrued disproportionately to the top of the income and wealth distribution. Long-standing racial, ethnic, and gender disparities persist. In addition, while historic progress has been made in expanding health insurance, more remains to be done to provide adequate protection against economic risk. Indicators of deprivation, such as child poverty, are too high, and declines in overall life expectancy in some years prior to the pandemic, accompanied by increased disparities, are cause for concern.

And the start of the call for more government involvement in the economy:

The economic theory underlying President Biden’s American Jobs Plan and American Families Plan is different. These proposed policies reflect the empirical evidence that a strong economy depends on a solid foundation of public investment, and that investments in workers, families, and communities can pay off for decades to come…

In order to function and deliver strong and shared economic gains, markets need an engaged, effective public sector. From policies that spur innovation and facilitate labor supply to those that provide investments in children and protections against economic insecurity, the public sector has an important role to play in supporting the economy.

There is a call for government supported and managed technology development:

Innovation—and the new technologies that result from it—drives growth, and the public
sector plays a pivotal role in that process…

Public support for research and development is essential to achieving an appropriate level of innovation…

There are also times when the public sector has to consider the composition of what is produced or how it is produced.

 Then the Brief goes woke.

An economy where economic gains are not shared is one that is not delivering on its full promise to those who do the work of producing economic output…

Investments in children are a powerful force for equity…

Investing in children will thus not only deliver improved outcomes and faster growth, it will also advance equity by narrowing racial disparities and reducing child poverty.

The public sector plays a crucial role in ensuring that communities are not left behind…

New forms of protection against economic insecurity are necessary to ensure that
unavoidable risks do not become avoidable economic pain. Research finds that social
insurance programs not only directly reduce hardship and financial risk, they also moderate
economic downturns, improve health, and save lives. Investments in expanded social insurance would build on a long tradition of American social insurance programs, including unemployment insurance; Social Security; and Medicare, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act.

In short, the Brief from start to finish is justifying a move away from freedom and individual initiative and in the direction of the idea that the state must act as the director of economic activities and outcomes. It is far along the way to a vision that is fundamentally anti-American and in the direction of planned societies that have delivered such horrors as the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, the Soviet Union, and Mao’s China.

It is a Brief that shows naive thinking that Hayek warned about when he stated that “The curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine they can design.”

It appears that none of the Biden economists at the CEA understand any of this. They appear to truly believe they can design the economy.

It is a recipe for a collapsing standard of living coupled with more state authoritarianism.   –RW

TGIF: FDA Targets Black and Other Minority Smokers | The Libertarian Institute

Posted by M. C. on May 14, 2021

Let’s be clear on what is going down. The central government wants to stop certain minority smokers from indulging their preferences. That’s paternalism pure and simple. Apparently blacks and others who prefer menthol smokes cannot be persuaded to stop, so they will have to be forced–for their own good. A far higher percentage of black smokers than white smokers prefer menthol to unflavored cigarettes.

https://libertarianinstitute.org/articles/sheldon/tgif-fda-targets/

by Sheldon Richman

Just when we are reminded that unnecessary conflict between the police and the people, especially in poorer black communities, is a poison to be eliminated forthwith, the Biden administration has moved in the wrong direction. Late last month the administration signaled that it wants to ban menthol cigarettes, which are especially popular with black smokers.

“Banning menthol—the last allowable flavor—in cigarettes and banning all flavors in cigars will help save lives, particularly among those disproportionately affected by these deadly products,” Acting Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Janet Woodcock said. “With these actions, the FDA will help significantly reduce youth initiation, increase the chances of smoking cessation among current smokers, and address health disparities experienced by communities of color, low-income populations, and LGBTQ+ individuals, all of whom are far more likely to use these tobacco products.”

For years the FDA had been pushed on this issue by a coalition of organizations, including some self-identified black advocacy groups, although other similar groups, along with the ACLU, have opposed the ban. The FDA has finally agreed to the ban. It will take time to put it in place because of the public-comment process.

Strangely, this is occurring during the height of concern about unjustified police violence against black men and women. As we know, product prohibition always prompts the creation of illegal markets, and this breeds a poisonous relationship between police and the communities in which the illegal activities are most likely to occur. The reason couldn’t be simpler. Unlike with crimes of violence against person and property–that is, offenses with victims–vice laws attempt to stop consensual transactions. Since those transactions by nature have no complainant, the police inevitably resort to intrusive, rights-violating methods to catch people in the act. The methods include surveillance, use of dodgy informants with have incentives to lie and set people up, and other trickery. It couldn’t be any other way. If laws against victimless “crimes” are to be enforced, the most egregious enforcement methods will be brought to bear as a matter of necessity. It’s in the very nature of the legal suppression of vice. (I’m including gambling, drugs, prostitution, and so on.)

Considering that minority community trust in the police is is not exactly high, why would anyone want to give the police more authority to root out consensual interaction? It can only make things worse.

Anticipating this criticism, the FDA promises it will not target consumers; only manufacturers and distributors will be in the authorities’ sights. But that statement is misleading. Plenty of damage can be done at the street level if the manufacturers and distributors of illegal menthol cigarettes turn out to be small-scale neighborhood operations, which they may well be. (Why would highly visible Big Tobacco take the risk?) If people demand menthol smokes, other people will creatively cater to their demand. Remember Eric Garner’s fatal encounter with the police when he was illegally selling individual cigarettes (“loosies”) presumably to get around the high New York tobacco tax. In Massachusetts, which has already banned menthol cigarettes, the black market is reported on the rise. When police efforts to stop black-market manufacturers and distributors fail, will the police turn on consumers? Stamping out demand (if it could be done) would surely stamp out supply.

This can’t end well. For one thing, a ban on one product could morph into a ban on other items that contribute to the production of originally targeted product.

And let’s keep in mind the larger context. While the government says it’s trying to save smokers from themselves, it also demonizes vaping and has outlawed most vape flavors. True, the exceptions to that ban (for now?) are tobacco and menthol flavors, but still the FDA has made efforts to scare smokers from switching to vaping, which is known to be much safer than inhaling the smoke from burning tobacco leaves. If smokers are scared away from vaping, many will stick with smoking, menthol or no menthol.

Meanwhile the FDA is also looking into lowering the nicotine content of cigarettes to “nonaddictive levels,” a futile act of mere signaling since smokers could simply smoke more cigarettes to make up their nicotine deficit.

When will government learn? Actually, that’s the wrong question. Officials have no incentive to take seriously many things they must already know because it would cost them their mission, power, and prestige.

Abolition of all vice laws should be step number one in any effort to eliminate unjustified police violence. Forbidding the state’s officers from looking for outlawed but consensual transactions couldn’t help but create a better relationship between the police and the people, especially those in the most vulnerable communities.

(For the case against all laws against victimless crimes, see Lysander Spooner’s Vice Are Not Crimes.)

Why Are Gates and Pentagon Releasing GMO Mosquitoes in Florida Keys?

Posted by M. C. on May 14, 2021

http://www.williamengdahl.com/englishNEO11May2021.php

By F. William Engdahl

Despite strong resident protests, the US Environmental Protection Agency and Florida agencies have approved controversial release of millions of genetically-modified or “gene edited” killer mosquitoes into the Florida Keyes. At the same time the controversial Presidential Science Adviser nominee of Biden is involved in development of the CRISPR technology being used to genetically modify everything from the mosquitoes to the Pfizer and Moderna coronavirus mRNA “vaccines” to gene-edited salmon. How Bill Gates, the Pentagon and the eugenics lobby come together now is alarming to put it mildly .

On April 30 the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District and the Oxitec biotechnology company announced they will begin release of what will ultimately be some 750 million genetically manipulated or gene-edited Aedes Aegypti mosquitos using CRSPR gene editing technology. The Aedes Aegypti makes up only about 4% of the mosquito population in the Keys. The release is bitterly opposed by residents and environmental groups who demanded a referendum in last year’s election ballot, but which the Mosquito Control Board refused, curiously. Oxitec and the Board claim the release is to kill off the presence of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito which is believed to carry dengue fever, Zika and other diseases.

The project, which sounds positive in the press statements, is alarming in many respects. First, the refusal to allow a citizen vote on the controversial GMO release. Second, there exists no cost-benefit analysis of the risks versus benefits of releasing millions of mosquitoes whose genetic traits are mutating in often unpredictable ways. Is it worth the risk that an ever more robust variety of mosquito will mutate from the project? No one can say. Traditional mosquito control techniques have worked well until now.

The CEO of Oxitec, Grey Frandsen, has a dark history with the US State Department in the Balkans, as an advisor to the US Navy, and as a Fellow of the George Soros’ International Crisis Group that played a key role in the destruction of Yugoslavia in the 1990s. With no previous experience in biotechnology, Frandsen appears as CEO of Oxitec in 2017. Oxitec, a UK company, is now owned by Third Security, a US venture capital firm in Radford, Virginia headed by Randal J. Kirk who also owns the gene-edited salmon producer, AquaBounty.

Fully Vaccinated Individuals Are Testing Positive For The Coronavirus: More Examples Emerge – Collective Evolution

Posted by M. C. on May 14, 2021

If this vaccine was completely safe and effective, travel mandates, for example wouldn’t be needed, everybody would be rushing to get one. Do we really want to give governments the power to implement health mandates when it goes against the will of so many people, doctors, and scientists?

What Happened: News of fully vaccinated individuals testing positive for COVID seem to be making headlines everywhere. For example, six people who tested positive in a Sydney hotel quarantine had already been fully vaccinated. According to data from NSW Health’s weekly COVID-19 surveillance report, between April 10 and May 1, six people in quarantine who reported being fully vaccinated were among the 150 overseas cases recorded. One had received a one-shot vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson, and the remaining cases had received both doses of a two-shot vaccine, such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca or Moderna. University of Sydney epidemiologist Dr. Fiona Stanaway said, given no COVID-19 vaccine is 100 percent effective, it was to be expected that some people who have been vaccinated test positive. advertisement – learn more

The New York Yankees recently announced that they had two coaches and one support staff member test positive for COVID despite all of them being fully vaccinated. In Seychelles, East Africa, the World Health Organization (WHO) said that on Tuesday it was reviewing coronavirus data in the region after the health ministry said more than a third of people who tested positive for COVID-19 in the past week had been fully vaccinated.

These are a few of many examples, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise as people have been warned throughout the pandemic that the full dosage of COVID vaccines will not be 100 percent effective. Canada’s Chief Public Health officer Teresa Tam, for example, recently reminded Canadians on Saturday that even those who are fully vaccinated are susceptible to COVID. She did say, however, that the risk of asymptomatic transmission is far lower for anyone who is fully vaccinated, but how much lower? What about asymptomatic individuals who are not vaccinated?

According to Dr. Jay Bhattacharya from Stanford University’s School of Medicine,

The scientific evidence now strongly suggests that COVID-19 infected individuals who are asymptomatic are more than an order of magnitude less likely to spread the disease to even close contacts than symptomatic COVID-19 patients. A meta-analysis of 54 studies from around the world found that within households – where none of the safeguards that restaurants are required to apply are typically applied – symptomatic patients passed on the disease to household members in 18 percent of instances, while asymptomatic patients passed on the disease to household members in 0.7 per cent of instances. A separate, smaller meta-analysis similarly found that asymptomatic patients are much less likely to infect others than symptomatic patients.

Asymptomatic individuals are an order of magnitude less likely to infect others than symptomatic individuals, even in intimate settings such as people living in the same household where people are much less likely to follow social distancing and masking practices that they follow outside the household. Spread of the disease in less intimate settings by asymptomatic individuals – including religious services, in-person restaurant visits, gyms, and other public settings – are likely to be even less likely than in the household. Improper Amounts of Aluminum Discovered In Multiple Childhood Vaccines – Collective Evolution

Posted by M. C. on May 14, 2021

The Takeaway: The politicization of science has become quite a large issue these days. In my opinion, science that seems to support a narrative that is in favour of  certain government and/or corporate interests is heavily promoted and explored, while science that calls these narratives into question is heavily scrutinized, censored and unacknowledged within the mainstream.

https://www.collective-evolution.com/2021/05/12/renowned-scientist-petitions-fda-about-improper-amounts-of-aluminum-in-childhood-vaccines/

ByArjun Walia

In Brief

  • The Facts:A team of aluminum experts at Keele University has found that multiple childhood vaccines contain significantly more or less aluminum than what is listed on product labels. They have filed a petition with the FDA in an attempt to resolve this issue.
  • Reflect On:What are the consequences of misleading or incorrect product information, like vaccines, listed on the product label? Should these labels not be completely accurate?
Coherent icon

Before you begin…

Take a moment and breathe. Place your hand over your chest area, near your heart. Breathe slowly into the area for about a minute, focusing on a sense of ease entering your mind and body. Click here to learn why we suggest this.

The aluminium adjuvant that’s used in multiple childhood vaccines has come under the scrutiny of multiple scientists from around the world over the past couple of years. It’s been discovered that a number of these vaccines have far more or far less aluminum adjuvant than listed on their FDA approved product labels, and as a result two formal petitions (access them here and here) were filed with the FDA on May 4th and May 6th of this year. advertisement – learn more

The petitions demand that the agency do its job and assure that vaccine manufacturers are disclosing accurate information about the amount of aluminum adjuvant that’s actually present in their childhood vaccines. You can access the most recent legal update, here.

–> Become A CE Member: The only thing that keeps our journalism going is YOU. CE members get access to exclusive benefits and support our shared mission.. Click here to learn more!

A team of the world’s foremost experts in aluminum toxicology, led by Christopher Exley (initiator of the petition), a Professor of Bioinorganic Chemistry for the last 29 years with more than 200 published peer reviewed articles regarding aluminum, made this discovery. Six vaccine products contained statistically significant greater amounts of aluminum (Pentacel, Havrix, Adacel, Pedvax, Prevnar 13, and Vaqta) and four childhood vaccines were found to contain a statistically significant lower quantity of aluminum adjuvant than what is outlined on the label for these products (Infanrix, Kinrix, Pediarix, and Synflorix.

This discovery was published in The Journal of Trace Elements in Medicine and Biology where researchers point to the fact that since aluminum is a known toxin in humans and specifically a neurotoxin, it’s content in vaccines should be accurate and independently monitored to ensure both efficacy and safety.

Another paper of interest for readers might be this one, titled The role of aluminum adjuvants in vaccines raises issues that deserve independent, rigorous and honest science. It also outlines the concerns being raised.

The petition states, advertisement – learn more

These deviations from the products’ labels are extremely concerning. Doses with more than the approved amount of aluminum adjuvant raise serious safety concerns, and doses with less than the approved amount raise questions regarding efficacy. Indeed, aluminum adjuvant is a known cytotoxic and neurotoxic substance used to induce autoimmunity in lab animals, and which numerous peer-reviewed publications implicate various autoimmune conditions….These deviations also render the products and manufacturers not in compliance with various federal statutes and regulations, requiring immediate action from the FDA.

The Petitions therefore demand that the FDA immediately and publicly release documentation sufficient to establish that the aluminum content in each vaccine at issue is consistent with the amount provided in its labeling and that the FDA pause distribution of the vaccines at issue until it has done so.

Nothing can be more important than the safety of vaccines injected into babies.

If you would like to provide the FDA a comment regarding the petitions filed regarding aluminum levels in childhood vaccines, you can do so here and here.

Exley and his work is supported by many scientists from around the world, yet he is facing a potential set back with regards to continuing his research on aluminum and disease. One hundred scientists came together and recently wrote a letter of support, stating,

We are writing to express our concern over the possible interruption of research on aluminum and disease conducted by Christopher Exley and his group in your (Keele) University. We feel that Christopher Exley’s work conducted for so many years in line with the previous research of late Pr Birchall at Keele University has been an important service to the scientific community, patients and society in Europe and globally. We firmly declare that Pr Exley has always defended rigorous research independent of commercial conflicts of interest, and has freely carried out his research without any control by any of his sponsors.

You can read more about what’s going on with regards to this situation, and access the correspondence that’s happened between Keele University (Exley’s employer), Exley, and the academics who support his work, here.

Exley has provided his own comment on the petition that reads as follows,

Once these data on the aluminium content of infant vaccines were known to me I asked myself about their absolute significance. What were the data witnessing. Sloppy processing by manufacturers? If so then why weren’t these issues flagged up by internal auditing of the products? Do manufacturers not actually measure the final content of aluminium in their vaccines? It looks that way. If they do not are they still assuming that the information they give on the patient information leaflet is accurate? Presumably they are as this amount of aluminium per dose of vaccine has been extensively researched and optimised by the manufacturer to give the antibody titre necessary for the vaccine to be effective. Since the vaccine is wholly ineffective in the absence of the aluminium adjuvant then the amount of aluminium adjuvant injected into the infant must be tightly controlled in providing a safe and effective vaccine. Isn’t that correct?

How can vaccine manufacturers be so complacent about such a critical issue? Is there a darker side to all of this? It may or it may not be true that manufacturers carefully optimise the aluminium content of infant vaccines. However, how often do manufacturers monitor the efficacy of their vaccine in receiving infants? How do they know that the data they must have for their clinical trials is reproduced in real time vaccinations in infants. Simply, how do they know that their vaccine works against its target disease? Do they even care? These data on the aluminium content of infant vaccines suggest very strongly that from the moment the vaccine is aliquoted to its vial ready for subsequent administration to an infant the manufacturer has no interest in whether it is either effective or safe.

No one is monitoring the former and vaccine manufacturers have no responsibility for the latter. Vaccine manufacturers are businesses first and foremost, it is not up to them to make sure that their products are safe and effective. It is the responsibility of the FDA and the FDA is clearly neglecting this responsibility as is the European Medicines Agency. A cartel of neglect and complacency that puts infants all of the world at risk, not only from the disease the vaccine is meant to be effective against but critically from the injection of an unknown amount of a known neurotoxin into vulnerable infants.

I know that many of you have given me your support in a myriad of ways and I am eternally thankful. You may be interested to know that the ‘academic’ Aluminium Family has also played a part and you can read all about this through this link. If you have any questions or comments about this please direct them to Professor Romain Gherardi (RKG75@protonmail.com) who kindly instigated this effort on my behalf.

If science is raising a cause for concern, especially regarding something like aluminum toxicity that is so prevalent in our lives today, why can’t we as a society embrace, support, and acknowledge the study of it openly and collectively? What is going on here? You might imagine that everybody would support research like the kind Exley and his team are doing, as it only seeks to make a healthier world. Then again,  it may not be in the best interest of pharmaceutical companies and their business model.

Isn’t human health and ‘doing no harm’ the key oath public health is interested in upholding? The implications of science should not impede progression of health, but rather accelerate it.

Considering the ‘Covid’ Lie: This Is No time for Diplomacy, It Is a Time for Truth – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on May 14, 2021

“He who joyfully marches to music rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once.”

~ Albert Einstein

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2021/05/gary-d-barnett/considering-the-covid-lie-this-is-no-time-for-diplomacy-it-is-a-time-for-truth/

By Gary D. Barnett

“Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.”

~ H.L. Mencken, Prejudices: First Series

While diplomacy may be thought of as a noble act, it rarely works, and even less so concerning any collective effort. In addition, it can never be achieved when dealing with any governing body. Diplomacy is meant for individuals in order to structure cooperation and calm in daily life, commerce, and society. Nation states can only attempt to be diplomatic if the people themselves fully agree with the terms. This is never the case. Diplomacy by representative proxy therefore, while seemingly possible, is not, as all individual parties must first agree, and continue to do so for any so-called intended diplomatic result to occur. Regardless, diplomacy is nothing more than concession, and therefore useless in any effort to accomplish anything of value.

Concerning the current environment and tyrannical chaos evident, diplomacy is not only irrelevant; it is worthless. I am no diplomat, and no longer have sympathy for those that choose to remain blind in the face of this obvious and purposely planned and initiated totalitarian hell. The holes in this ‘pandemic’ fraud are large enough for trucks to drive through, so acceptance of the state’s narrative is no longer valid in any way. At this point, all that matters is the truth, and an acceptance of that truth in order to be able to recognize reality. This in essence is the psychological basis for sanity, and the foundation of character. Gaining an understanding of this premise can only lead to a better life and confidence in making the right decisions. How much indisputable evidence and tyranny must be present before the herd is willing to not only listen to the truth, but also accept it?

The requirements for this awakening can be harsh, but are necessary in order to survive unscathed. Avoidance of the truth leads to a dishonest response of diplomacy and compliance in order to “get along.” This can only lead to widespread submission and an inability to face any challenge. This country’s inhabitants are now consumed by ignorance due to long-term mass indoctrination, and have become unable to distinguish truth from lies, fact from fiction, and reality from fantasy. Because of this purposely-created phenomenon, honesty and courage have virtually disappeared, and have been replaced with cowardice and indifference. This has led to what might be described as gross intellectual obsolescence of the majority.

It has been reported often that there are many people in this country that do not believe in masks or social distancing, or any of the other draconian and freedom robbing mandates that have been issued, but do them anyway in order to be respectful of others, or to show some pretended empathy or compassion. This is pure poppycock, and is a barefaced lie. If any of these people actually do not believe that what they are doing is right, but are doing it anyway, they are simply seeking an excuse for their cowardice. They do not want to buck their master nor do they desire to have any conflict, so they practice a form of false diplomacy. In other words, they do as they are told and pretend that they have some noble purpose. To consider the consequences of doing right in order to decide to go ahead or stand against wrong, then right has already been discarded in favor of submission. This is a pathetic response, and one that is prevalent in the majority of Americans today.

The situation we are faced with is not only dire; it is life changing and could be life ending. Certainly all freedom is threatened, private property is being confiscated due to intentional economic destruction, medical tyranny is rampant, self-imprisonment has been mandated and will be again, poverty is widespread, poisonous injections and Communist Block type identification papers are required in some areas in order to work or travel, and hyper inflation has already begun. This is serious business, and this weak and apathetic populace has voluntarily accepted all of this totalitarian madness with little if any resistance.

There is much talk about the necessity for Americans to wake up, but that has not happened. In light of the preponderance of evidence concerning the fraudulent nature of this so-called pandemic and “Great Reset,” why has a mass awakening not occurred? It has not occurred because most of the people of this country are now happy with their slavery, and are not willing to take any risk whatsoever to protect their own freedom. This is the current state of affairs, so what is to be done?

No one has a right to force or attempt to force another to take any position whatsoever. In other words, you as an individual have no right to force your beliefs on others in society, regardless of the merits of your thinking. This means of course, that no other has any right to force you to do anything against your will as well. So what does this mean?

It means that those of us willing to stand up against the controlling powers and the state should not bow to any authority or any individual or group attempting to harass, threaten, shame, or intimidate us in any way. Diplomacy be damned, as it is high time to quit attempting to sympathize with idiots. “I’m as mad as hell, and I am not going to take it anymore” is the position that seems most prudent as we enter this final stage of this takeover plot.

Quit pretending that you are wearing a mask for the benefit of others. Quit allowing non-thinking, obnoxious drones from attacking you. Quit running away from those attempting to force their position on you. Quit going along to get along. Quit succumbing to pressure from others to do things you know are not in your best interest. Quit calculating every decision and move you make based on the consequences, and just do what you know to be the right thing. Live you own life your way without concern for those refusing to stand up against tyranny.

“He who joyfully marches to music rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once.”

The Media Wants You to Trust Washington Again Now That Trump Is Gone | Mises Wire

Posted by M. C. on May 13, 2021

In 1965, Arthur Sylvester, the assistant secretary of defense for public affairs, berated a group of war correspondents in Saigon: “Look, if you think any American official is going to tell you the truth, then you’re stupid. Did you hear that? Stupid.”

Former CNN White House correspondent Michelle Kosinski declared on Twitter last week that American journalists would “never expect … Your own govt to lie to you, repeatedly” and “Your own govt to hide information the public has a right to know.” Kosinski denounced “Trump’s unAmerican regime” and declared, “No one should accept this.” Kosinski’s comments epitomize the “Trump-washing” of American history that explains much of the media’s rage, hypocrisy, and follies in the last five years.

Kosinski’s mindset also helps explain why Americans’ trust in the media has collapsed. Kosinski spent years as CNN’s State Department correspondent, but her inside sources apparently never mentioned to her how she was helping them con the world. As history professor Leo Ribuffo observed in 1998, “Presidents have lied so much to us about foreign policy that they’ve established almost a common-law right to do so.” In 1965, Arthur Sylvester, the assistant secretary of defense for public affairs, berated a group of war correspondents in Saigon: “Look, if you think any American official is going to tell you the truth, then you’re stupid. Did you hear that? Stupid.”

A few weeks before the 9/11 attacks, New York Times columnist Flora Lewis wrote that “there will probably never be a return to the … collusion with which the media used to treat presidents, and it is just as well.” But the toppling of the World Trade Center towers made the media more craven than at any time since Vietnam. The media’s shameless deference was one of the most underreported stories of the Iraq War. Washington Post reporter Karen DeYoung admitted in 2004: “We are inevitably the mouthpiece for whatever administration is in power.” PBS’s Bill Moyers noted that “of the 414 Iraq stories broadcast on NBC, ABC and CBS nightly news, from September 2002 until February 2003, almost all the stories could be traced back to sources from the White House, the Pentagon, and the State Department.” Jim Lehrer, the host of government-subsidized PBS’s NewsHour, explained his timidity in 2004: “It would have been difficult to have had debates [about invading Iraq] … you’d have had to have gone against the grain.” Lehrer explained why he and other premier journalists seemed clueless on Iraq: “The word ‘occupation,’ keep in mind, was never mentioned in the run-up to the war. It was ‘liberation’…. So as a consequence, those of us in journalism never even looked at the issue of occupation.” The elite journalists looked only where government told them to look. Former president George W. Bush’s lying America into a ruinous war has not deterred liberal media outlets from rehabilitating him as the “good Republican” in contrast to Trump.

Kowtowing is the high road to media stardom. A leak from the White House, like a touch from a saint, can instantly heal a reporter’s lame career. For many journalists, “access” is more important than truth. In DC, there is more cachet in snaring exclusive interviews with policymakers than in exposing official wrongdoing. Being invited into the inner sanctums is “close enough for government work” to learning what the feds are actually doing. New York Times columnist Paul Krugman observed, “The [George W.] Bush administration has made brilliant use of journalistic careerism. Those who wrote puff pieces about Mr. Bush and those around him have been rewarded with career-boosting access.” Knowing when to be sycophantic is as vital to career advancement as recognizing which fork to use at a Georgetown dinner party.

Is the problem that journalists don’t know history or that journalists don’t know how to read—or both? Kosinski’s assertion that American journalists would “never expect their own govt to hide information the public has a right to know” is astounding on both scores. The federal government is creating trillions of pages of new secrets every year. The more documents bureaucrats classify, the more lies politicians can tell. The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) has become mostly a mirage. (FOIA is never mentioned in Kosinski’s Twitter feed.) After she was appointed secretary of state, Hillary Clinton effectively exempted herself from FOIA, setting up a private server to handle her official email. The State Department ignored seventeen FOIA requests for her emails prior to 2014. Prior to the 2016 election, the State Department claimed it needed seventy-five years to fully answer a FOIA request on Hillary Clinton’s aides’ emails—thereby protecting Hillary from revelations that could have hurt her with voters.

Perhaps Kosinski is unaware that the Trump-era secrecy she denounced flourished mightily thanks to the beloved Obama administration. In 2011, Obama’s Justice Department formally proposed to permit federal agencies to falsely claim that documents that Americans requested via FOIA did not exist. The Obama White House crippled FOIA responses by adding a new requirement for all federal agencies to permit the White House to review and potentially veto releases of requested FOIA documents that had “White House equities”—i.e., anything that might make the Obama administration look bad. A 2016 congressional report noted that many journalists had abandoned “the FOIA request as a tool because delays and redactions made the request process wholly useless for reporting.” My own experience, stretching back thirty years, is that federal agencies routinely presume that anyone who has publicly criticized their programs forfeits his rights under FOIA.

Kosinski never tweeted about the role of the “state secrets” doctrine in permitting the Justice Department to shroud torture, war crimes, and illegal surveillance. The state secrets doctrine presumes “government knows best, and no one else is entitled to know.” The George W. Bush administration routinely invoked “state secrets” to seek “blanket dismissal of every case challenging the constitutionality of specific, ongoing government programs,” according to a study by the Constitution Project. A federal appeals court slammed the Obama administration’s use of “state secrets” for presuming that “the judiciary should effectively cordon off all secret government actions from judicial scrutiny, immunizing the CIA and its partners from the demands and the limits of the law.” Last month, the Biden administration joined the torture secrecy hall of shame by urging a court to dismiss a lawsuit brought by an American citizen who claimed he had been tortured in Egypt, because the alleged torturer had diplomatic immunity because he works for the International Monetary Fund. (I thought the IMF was only entitled to torture economies.) As the legal fate of Julian Assange, Chelsea Manning, and John Kiriakou illustrates, telling the truth is the only war crime now recognized by the US government.

Kosinski’s assertions exemplify the new media storyline that Americans should respect Washington again now that Biden is president. But Leviathan doesn’t turn over a new leaf merely because a different hand swears an oath of office on the Bible. Lies are political weapons of mass destruction, obliterating all limits on government power. The more powerful government becomes, the more atrocities it commits and the more lies it must tell. But we can’t trust the press corps to expose any abuses that might imperil invitations to fancy receptions.

As I warned in a 2018 op-ed in The Hill, “Perhaps the biggest whopper in Washington nowadays is the assumption that the government and the political class will automatically be trustworthy once the Trump era ends…. There will still be a thousand precedents for federal coverups and duplicity. And neither political party nor the bureaucracy has shown any itch to cease deceiving the American people.” But I doubt that Kosinski read that piece or anything else that some government official didn’t hand her on a silver platter. Psaki Reassures: ‘Inflation Completely Under Control Outside Of Food, Gas, And Housing’

Posted by M. C. on May 13, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Press Secretary Jen Psaki took time during today’s briefing to address worries about inflation, comforting Americans with the news that prices are totally under control – outside of the things necessary to live.

“The media, you people I gave cookies to, have really blown this whole ‘inflation’ thing way out of proportion,” said Psaki. “Prices have not risen in most markets, with the tiny exception of essential necessities. But prices are rock steady when you look at, for example, battleships. The same goes for cannabis, tickets to Mars, and hula hoops. There’s all this talk about food and shelter when today you can still go out and buy a Rolex for the same price you could yesterday!”

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked Psaki how regular people struggling to buy food would be helped by stable battleship prices. Psaki sighed deeply, then slowly growled, “No…more…cookies!”

Americans still worried about basic necessities were cheered up later when they learned from New York’s mayoral candidates that a house in New York only costs $50, and you can still buy a gallon of milk for one wooden nickel.
