An End to Progress

Posted by M. C. on January 16, 2024

by Jeff Thomas

From the beginning, a Rothschild tenet was to avoid the limelight, whilst pulling the strings behind the screen. With each generation, this concept has been more apparent, and, today, the family names that have been associated with the seizure of control tend not to appear in the media. The names of Rothschild, Rockefeller, Morgan and the rest have either become less visible or more closely associated with philanthropy in the public awareness.

“Progress may have been all right once, but it has gone on too long.”

I’ve always been fond of that quote. Back when Ogden Nash wrote it, it was quite clever. Today, the quote is a bit less entertaining, as we are living in a period when, more and more, world leaders seem to be headed in the wrong direction – away from progress. As the Great Unravelling plays out, people are coming to the conclusion that the directions taken by their leaders are, in Doug Casey’s well-chosen words, not only the wrong thing to do, but the exact opposite of the right thing to do.

The first category in which this seems to be true is economics. Most world leaders are quite committed to the idea that economics will provide all the answers to solve any economic problem. However, the further each country goes down the Keynesian road, the clearer it becomes that Keynesian theory simply does not work. In fact, many countries that have followed it are on the brink of economic collapse, yet they are charging forward all the more determinedly with solutions that are based upon the very theories that caused the problems.

The second category is economic legislation. In most First World countries, particularly the US, legislators are making it ever-more difficult for businesspeople to function, as a result of the passage of ever-more complex and stricter regulations. The free market is, at this point, far from free, and there is a substantial flow of business away from First World countries as a result. Contrary to the claims of many politicians, most businesspeople are not following this exodus out of greed, but out of a need for survival.

The third category is social legislation. First World countries, at one time, took pride in referring to themselves as “the Free World,” in contrast to the communist and socialist Second World. Not so, today. Whilst many former Second World countries are beginning to open up, First World countries, generally speaking, are passing increasingly draconian legislation, converting once-free countries into virtual police states.

When the above trend began, few people took much notice, but, in recent years, the changes that have taken place are becoming, increasingly, both more numerous and more frequent. At present, the frequency and severity of governmental developments have begun to resemble a runaway train.

As mentioned in the introductory paragraph, more and more people are becoming convinced as to the reality of all of the above – that we are reaching an “End of Progress.” There does, however, seem to be a division in who they feel is responsible. Three theories follow.

Troubling Questions in Strange Case of Pentagon Chief Missing in Action

Posted by M. C. on January 15, 2024

The absence of Austin would have no doubt exacerbated the alarm within an already trigger-happy U.S. military machine. Combined with those concerns is the lack of confidence in Biden’s cognitive health as Commander-in-Chief.

Given this ferment of conflict, it seems incredible that Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was effectively missing in action for several weeks without his nominal superior, Joe Biden, knowing of his whereabouts. Biden’s other title is Commander-in-Chief. In the supposed civilian command structure of the United States military, Austin is second to Biden. Among their supposed responsibilities is the command of U.S. nuclear forces.

The United States is recklessly provoking armed confrontation in these geopolitical cauldrons – all of them involving the danger of nuclear weapons – and yet the highest civilian commander at the Pentagon goes missing in action for several days over secretive surgery.

Apparently Biden is not part of the Pentagram’s equation.

It seems utterly bizarre that Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin – the second-highest ranking civilian military commander in the United States – was absent from duty for several weeks without President Joe Biden or Congress knowing about it.

A charitable view would be to call the scandal a “comedy of errors”. More appropriately, however, are urgent concerns about the implications for global peace and security. The U.S. resembles a juggernaut out of control careening along a precipice.

This inexplicable prolonged gap in U.S. military command and control at the apex of the Pentagon goes from bizarre to deeply worrying considering the rapidly deteriorating security conditions in the Middle East. And especially because the deterioration is largely caused by the United States and its accomplices in their blatant contempt for international law.

This week, the United States and its British ally carried out over 100 cruise missile strikes against Yemen, purportedly in retaliation for Yemen’s blocking of commercial shipping in the Red Sea. The Yemenis claim that their actions to interdict shipping are legally entitled by their support for Palestinians suffering 90 days of genocidal aggression from Israel backed by the U.S.

Indeed, the Middle East powder-keg situation is set for an escalation towards an all-out region-wide war given the weeks of tensions caused by the U.S.-backed genocide in Gaza by Israel. American bases in Iraq and Syria have come under fire in retaliation for U.S. and Israeli assassinations of senior Palestinian and other Arab militant leaders. There is growing fear that the violence will spiral into an open armed confrontation between the United States and Iran.

Austin underwent surgery on December 22 for prostate cancer at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC. A subsequent urinary tract infection then caused Austin to be hospitalized again on January 1 for several more days. It is not clear if he was always conscious during this period or under sedation.

NBC News Admits ‘Deep State’ Exists… To Save Us From Trump’s Return

Posted by M. C. on January 15, 2024

A “network of public interest groups and lawmakers” are “quietly devising plans” to prevent Trump from using the military to carry out retribution.

deep state
noun

  • a body of people, typically influential members of government agencies or the military, believed to be involved in the secret manipulation or control of government policy.

The last time Donald Trump got within striking distance of the Oval Office in 2016, the Clinton campaign, the Obama administration, and various foreign accomplices invented a hoax accusing the real estate tycoon of being a secret Russian agent, who would use the power of the United States to do Vladimir Putin’s bidding (Which begs the question; why wouldn’t Putin have just invaded Ukraine when his ‘puppet’ Trump wouldn’t have waged a proxy war?).

And when Donald Trump asked Ukraine about obvious corruption by the Biden family, one of the key ‘deep state’ players in his impeachment behind the scenes was none other than Mary McCord – who went from taking down Michael Flynn after the FBI set him up, to helping Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) to peddle a “whistleblower” complaint about Trump’s Ukraine call.

McCord is back with a new hoax to peddle, telling NBC News that the Deep State is preparing for Trump’s return – and is taking action to limit his ability to ‘become a dictator’ and use the military to those ends.

We’re already starting to put together a team to think through the most damaging types of things that he [Trump] might do so that we’re ready to bring lawsuits if we have to,” McCord – executive director of the Institution for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection at Georgetown Law – told the outlet.

The quotes from thisfine piece of yellow journalism from NBC are simply hilarious…

David Stockman on Why Stalin and Hitler Should Never Have Happened

Posted by M. C. on January 13, 2024

by David Stockman

As it happened, it was the reparations crisis that led to Germany’s insane printing press monetary spree and the destruction of the German middle class in the 1923 hyperinflation. And without that society-crushing development along with all of the above, the history books would have never recorded the Hitlerian ascent to power and all the evils that flowed thereupon.

Stalin and Hitler

Herewith is a capsulized dissection which attempts to explain why Stalin and Hitler should have never happened. Accordingly, the hot, cold and Forever Wars wars that followed thereafter condemn the case for the American Empire, not make it; and they show that Trump’s America First is a far more appropriate lodestone for national security policy than Imperial Washington’s specious claim that America is the Indispensable Nation.

The Great War had been destined to end in 1917 by mutual exhaustion, bankruptcy and withdrawal from the utterly stalemated trenches of the Western Front. In the end, upwards of 3.3 million combatants had been killed and 8.3 million wounded over four years for movement along blood-drenched front-lines that could be measured in mere miles and yards.

Still, had America stayed on its side of the great Atlantic moat, the ultimate outcomes everywhere would have been far different. Foremostly, the infant democracy that came to power in February 1917 in Russia would not have been so easily smothered in its crib.

There surely would have been no disastrous summer offensive by the Kerensky government to rollback Germany on the eastern front where the czarist armies had earlier been humiliated and dismembered. In turn, an early end to Russia’s bloody and bankrupting impalement on the eastern front would also likely have precluded the return of Lenin to Russia in a German boxcar and the subsequent armed insurrection in Petrograd in November 1917. The flukish seizure of power by Lenin and his small band of fanatical Bolsheviks, in turn, would most certainly never have happened.

Another Death Notch for Drug Warriors

Posted by M. C. on January 13, 2024

by Jacob G. Hornberger

I haven’t seen The Iron Claw but it certainly looks like a good movie. It receives 88% and 94% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie is about the von Erich brothers, who became famous in the world of professional wrestling in the 1980s.

As I was reading a review of the movie, I discovered that U.S. drug warriors were able to place another notch on their belts by having the drug war contribute to the suicide of one of the von Erich brothers, Kerry von Erich.

In 1986, Kerry suffered a terrible accident while riding his motorcycle. The accident severely injured one of his legs, which ultimately led the amputation of his foot.

In the process, Kerry became addicted to pain killers. He was later arrested, prosecuted, and convicted of forging drug prescriptions. He was given a ten-year probated jail sentence.

In 1992, Kerry showed signs of suicidal tendencies, expressing a wish to join three of his brothers who had passed away, two by suicide. Additionally, his marriage was falling apart.

The clincher came when he was indicted for possession of cocaine as part of the much-vaunted “war on drugs” that both state and federal governments have been waging for decades. That was the factor that sent Kerry over the edge.

DIE at 35,000 Feet

What’s it going to take for people to wake up?

Two years ago I wrote a viral essay about how we’re all on our own journeys to find the truth, and there are various stages to the journey with things becoming clear from the top of a f**king mountain.

With less than three hundred subscribers the essay got nearly 14,000 views in a matter of days. I finished the week with nearly 2,000 new subscribers.

Then I followed it up with an irreverent piece about remembering the common cold, and how people seem to have forgotten that sometimes they get ill, especially in winter, and that they don’t need a government test to tell them if they have the sniffles. That essay did nearly as well.

And then instead of playing it safe and counting my chips at the window, I stayed at the table and threw the dice on a social justice essay, and it went over like a white man walking into a POC-only campus safe space.

The attempt at exposing this scam as neither social nor just was met with a less than lukewarm response. That I brought up racism toward one particular race probably scared the shit out of a lot of Good Citizens raised on MLK speeches and programmed to be self-satisfied by virtue of their incredibly tolerant views. I can accept the attempt may have failed, but I suspect something else was at work.

Liberals (and probably some conservatives) left me by the hundreds just as quickly as they found me after claiming to “love” what I had written in the previous two weeks.

Seeing the plandemic scam for what it was is not the same as seeing all the other connections to Agenda 2030 from which it sprouted, including the toxic DIE and ESG madness, more colloquially known as “woke.”

That’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity being forced down the throats of (mostly Anglo-American) Western populations for nearly a decade now.

I had made some false assumptions about the masses on Substack before publishing that piece:

  1. Assumed they knew about the scam of Social Justice, which is just Race Marxism packaged as tolerance and collective guilt for emotional manipulation
  2. Assumed they knew that multiculturalism and diversity are not only not a strength to any society, but that social science research has shown the opposite—it erodes social cohesion, lowers trust, and creates division as people revert to in-group preferences
  3. Assumed they worried this “woke” madness would destroy their children, schools, community, nation, etc.

From that post, I learned a valuable lesson early on in my Substack journey.

Why Are There So Many Suicides in America?

Posted by M. C. on January 12, 2024

by Jacob G. Hornberger

I’ve got a different answer. I’m certainly no expert in psychology but I say that the enormously high rate of suicide involves a denial of reality and the psychosis that comes with a denial of reality.

From the first day that children enter the government’s public (i.e., government) school system to which their parents are forced to send them, their minds are molded to believe that they live in a free society. Every day, for 12 long years, that’s what they are taught to believe. By the time they graduate high school, there is no doubt in the minds of 18-year-olds that they live in a genuinely free society.

But reality is that Americans do not live in a free society. They live under a welfare-warfare state and a tightly controlled and regulated society.

Last November, the Wall Street Journal reported that suicides in the United States reached a record high in 2022. Almost 50,000 people in the U.S. committed suicide. The suicide rate was the highest since 1941.

According to the article, healthcare professionals blame Covid, illicit drugs, and an oversupply of firearms.

Sigmund Freud

As adults at public events, most all of them eagerly stand to recite the Pledge of Allegiance (“with liberty and justice for all”), which, of course, they know by heart given that they were required to recite it every morning before the start of classes. They love singing to themselves, “I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.”

Moreover, the government molds their minds to conform to whatever the government says about freedom. When the Pentagon invades countries like Vietnam, Syria, Grenada, Afghanistan, Iraq, and so many others in the name of “freedom,” most everyone immediately embraces the freedom concept. That’s why so many people were eager to thank the troops for their “service” in “Operation Iraqi Freedom.” When the CIA assassinates someone in the name of protecting our “freedom,” hardly anyone gives it a second thought. When U.S. officials use the freedom concept to justify unleashing death and suffering on foreign citizens with sanctions and embargoes, hardly anyone questions it.
