CNN Lists Job Opening For Head Fiction Writer

Posted by M. C. on August 6, 2021

https://babylonbee.com/news/cnn-lists-job-opening-head-fiction-writer

ATLANTA, GA—Shortly after being forced to let go three journalists for their involvement in publishing a fake story regarding President Trump’s alleged connection to Russia, media and news network CNN listed a new job opening Wednesday morning for a new head fiction writer.

The network is reportedly looking for a seasoned author of thrilling fiction novels to fabricate news stories for its online and televised news coverage.

“Must have a penchant for weaving complex narratives and fabricating intricate storylines out of thin air for the sake of ratings. Experience in Cold War-era spy novels preferred, in the style of Tom Clancy, etc.,” the listing states. “Author will be responsible for making stuff up out of the blue to form the basis of 5-6 news stories per day. Full salary & benefits.”

The listing also states that “no journalism background is required.”

The network is also reportedly accepting resumes from authors in the genres of science fiction, epic fantasy, and dystopian novels in hopes of bringing well-rounded coverage of completely made-up stories to its followers.

What’s Dumber Than CRT? CNN – Taki’s Magazine

Posted by M. C. on July 24, 2021

Elle: “No.” [Bored] “And why should they? It’s an academic theory taught mostly at the grad student level. But what they think it means is teaching white kids that all white people are bad and racist. And so, of course they’re afraid of that.”

They’re afraid!!! Wait — remind me: Who’s banning books, again? Who’s flipping out about “microaggressions”? Who’s demanding that Big Tech censor people? Who’s demanding “trigger warnings” and “safe spaces” from speech they don’t like?

Parents aren’t “afraid”; they’re incensed. They’re paying the salaries of people who spend all day telling their kids that America is racist. (Elle didn’t give that explanation. Perhaps it frightens her.)

https://www.takimag.com/article/whats-dumber-than-crt-cnn/print

Ann Coulter

As we discussed last week, “critical race theory” is a subtle philosophical construct where the answer to everything is: THAT’S RACIST! Teachers hawking this glop are being defended by their journalist allies, who sneer that CRT critics are too stupid to understand the nuances of the theory.

The Aristotelian ideal of this sneer was Elle Reeve’s “special report” for CNN — pre-taped to eliminate any danger of Elle being contradicted by someone smarter, such as a 10-year-old.

CNN’s Brianna Keilar introduced the segment by asking her: “Do these vocal opponents of critical race theory actually understand fully what it is?”

(That’s what’s known as a “rhetorical question,” kids!)

The “vocal opponents” of CRT who “don’t actually understand fully what it is” seem to be mostly billionaire investment bankers — at least judging by the articles in the Daily Mail. Elle’s conclusion: A “theory” that consists of going around shouting “RACISM!” is too complex for those guys to understand.

The format of Elle’s pre-taped report consisted of her interviewing opponents of CRT … then nailing them with her brilliant comebacks! Except even with CNN doing the editing, the CRT opponents sounded perfectly reasonable, while Elle’s comebacks kept revealing her yawning stupidity.

In Major Deal, The Babylon Bee Purchases Competing Satire Site CNN

Posted by M. C. on May 26, 2021

https://babylonbee.com/news/the-babylon-bee-purchases-competing-satire-site-cnn-for-12-billion

U.S.—The Babylon Bee has been the world’s best satire site for thousands of years, spawning dozens of secular knock-offs that just aren’t quite as good.

The Bee announced a new acquisition this week, one that immediately made it the largest satirical site on the planet: a purchase of competing satire outlet CNN for $12 billion. The move more than quadrupled the site’s catalog of hilarious, satirical articles.

“We’ve long admired CNN’s ability to parody leftist media organizations so effortlessly, and we’re thrilled to have them under The Babylon Bee’s umbrella,” said site CEO Seth Dillon. “When you can’t compete with hilarious satire like CNN, you obviously look for ways to get them on your team, and an acquisition seemed to make the most sense.”

The new conglomerate organization will be called BNN. CNN writers and hosts will be instructed to simply keep doing what they’re doing.

“We don’t want them to change anything since you don’t try to fix satirical content that’s already incredible,” Dillon said. “They’ll just keep churning out incredibly skewed content in order to satirize the leftist media’s inability to report anything without bias or prejudice.”

Brian Stelter will produce satirical videos for The Babylon Bee, moving the site into the realm of video content for the first time. Again, though, his show’s content will remain unchanged.

CNN will also benefit, as their content will now be clearly labeled satire, protecting them from getting sued to high heaven for their skewed coverage.

Site founder Adam Ford was against the move, but nobody listens to him anymore.

Going Under the Berlin Wall – RPI 10 March Update

Posted by M. C. on March 11, 2021

What the deceptive doc leaves out of his screed was that in the meantime the Texas governor “listened to the science” and imposed a statewide mask mandate in July that was obeyed by a very high percentage of the population. Masks would “limit the spread” of the virus, we were told. So everyone wore them.

But they actually did nothing to “slow the spread” of the virus.

Ron Paul has always said, politics is so much easier if you actually have a philosophy based on liberty and you stand by it.

https://mailchi.mp/ronpaulinstitute/syriabomb-115294?e=4e0de347c8

Dear Friends:

I was interviewed on RT America’s “In Question” program about today’s lifting of the mask mandate and other Covid-related restrictions in Texas. The usual suspects – those who have made a political and monetary fortune from the year of fear-induced compliance with the most insane and destructive government edicts – are so livid at Texas Governor Gregg Abbott that it’s getting hard to maintain the previous level of enmity we have held toward him over the past year for shutting down in the first place.

With enemies like these…

CNN ran a deceptive editorial claiming that Governor Abbott’s decision to end the state-enforced mask mandate was indicative of his “delusional” view of the virus. The author, a medical doctor called Jonathan Reiner, attacked Abbott’s “premature” limited opening last April as cases began to fall. Lifting the “stay-at-home” order was tragically wrong for Texas, wrote Reiner, because come November the cases were skyrocketing again!

There is no doubt that CNN’s doctor/author enthusiastically supported the wearing of face masks to halt the spread of Covid, so how does he explain the huge winter seasonal spike in virus infections in Texas? Funny, he doesn’t mention it.

Likewise, when CNN’s Dr. Reiner attacks Abbott for “allowing” indoor dining and the opening of bars (at limited capacity) he cites the most recent CDC report detailing a year-long study of the effectiveness of mask mandates and restaurant closures.

Writes Reiner, “This week, the CDC published a report of the effect of mask mandates and indoor restaurant dining. The researchers found that mandating masks was associated with a decrease in daily Covid-19 case and death growth rates within 20 days of implementation. In-restaurant dining was associated with an increase in daily Covid-19 case and death rates.”

Uh…yeah. But that’s only a very small and highly-edited part of the story. In fact, the CDC report is a bombshell – which you can bet will be hidden from all in the mainstream media – because it shows the exact opposite!

The “decrease” in cases and deaths where mask mandates were in place and restaurants were forcibly closed by authoritarian officials was statistically INSIGNIFICANT!

If such measures worked we might expect to see a significant if not massive reduction in new cases and deaths where mask mandates and restaurant closures were put in place. In fact the reduction was an infinitesimal 1.32% on average!

Compare that to all the damage done by forced masks and forced business closures! Suicides.

As the CDC itself wrote on its report, the mask mandates DO NOT slow the virus spread, full stop, but rather ““have the potential to slow the spread of COVID-19. . .”

Only the “potential.” How reassuring. Science!

Likewise, the year-long CDC study itself concluded, “[d]uring the study period, states allowed restaurants to reopen for on-premises dining in 3,076 (97.9%) U.S. counties. Changes in daily COVID-19 case and death growth rates were not statistically significant 1–20 and 21–40 days after restrictions were lifted.”

Gee, thanks for destroying the life’s work and life savings of hundreds of thousands of restaurants for a result that was “not statistically significant.”

Of course for Fauci and the CDC and the rest of the medical-tyranny complex, none of us are “statistically significant” so they have run rough-shod over this country without shame for the past year.

Still, it is hard to not conclude that Abbott’s move, weak as it is and with way too many small-print details, has caused a massive short-circuiting in Sauron’s previously unimpeded advance.

Texas, the largest and most dynamic state in the US, has all but abandoned Fauci and the fear-mongers. Has strayed off the reservation. Has dared join South Dakota’s Kristi Noem and Florida’s Ron DiSantis. This is a death blow to the tyranny regime.

Fauci was interviewed, looking as if he’d ingested a can of botulism-ridden tuna, warning that Abbott was “putting aside all public health measures” in a move that was “quite risky.”

Much of the opprobrium Abbott has earned with his sudden decision to “open” Texas could have been easily avoided. Had he stood on principle from the beginning he would not have had to constantly explain his seeming shifting with the winds.

For example, if Abbott had any philosophical grounding beyond desire for higher office. he could have taken the Ron Paul path and simply stood for principle, in the face of ridicule and attack. If he had from the beginning, as did South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, simply stated that he does not have the moral or legal authority to close businesses down, to pick who is “essential” and who is “non-essential,” he would not have had to endlessly explain his flip-flops to the hostile media.

He could have explained his steadfast position in the context of a philosophy grounded in liberty.

But he did not, and it appears at this time that such moral weakness has brought about the end of his political career. Ron Paul has always said, politics is so much easier if you actually have a philosophy based on liberty and you stand by it.

Nevertheless, the “fall” of Texas from the constellation of the Covidian Cult may well be a death blow to the miserable year of public health tyranny. My unscientific survey of Lake Jackson and Brazoria in this first day of post-mask mandate did not reveal a dramatic tilt toward liberty. But still the first chink chink chinking away at the Berlin Wall were also relatively insignificant. But liberty was then, as now, an idea whose time had come.

Thank you so much for continuing to support our work. We are winning, even if slowly. Be of good cheer!

Burying the Lede on Reopenings | Chronicles

Posted by M. C. on March 5, 2021

Rather, the CNN article is an instance of journalistic malpractice. Journalism schools teach students that the most important information should go at the top of the article, because most readers do not read all the way to the end.

CNN decided the most important thing to do in this article was lambast Abbott and Reeves for reopening. As such, anything in these governors’ defense or critical of their Democratic counterparts should be buried further down the text or withheld entirely.

https://www.chroniclesmagazine.org/blog/burying-the-lede-on-reopenings/

By Anders Koskinen

CNN’s recent criticism of the reopening of Texas and Mississippi has once again proven its journalists merely engage in partisan coverage. This time it is accompanied by the added demerit of not understanding the nuances of federalism in America’s governance.

With Govs. Greg Abbott and Tate Reeves both deciding it is high time to re-open their states and get back to business, a CNN headline reports that “Biden urges patience on Covid as Republican governors go rogue on reopenings.” The same article states that the governors have “defied federal government warnings to not relax restrictions.”

Newsflash to CNN and President Joe Biden: you don’t have the authority to shut down whole states for indefinite periods of time. But let’s give CNN some credit, for the article in question is an excellent example of organizing information in such a way as to produce an effective smear job. If only CNN was honest about it instead of pretending to engage in journalism.

In the fourth paragraph CNN claims that the two southern states and their Republican governors are “going it alone as new infections plateau at high levels.” It is not until the 15th paragraph that it admits that “Republicans are not the only governors easing restrictions as new cases of Covid-19 and deaths from the virus have fallen.”

The attack on Abbott and Reeves is doubly apparent in that last sentence alone.

To begin with, the fact that Democratic mayors or governors are also reopening is buried. It may be, as CNN says, that these reopenings are not nearly as dramatic as those of Texas and Mississippi, but how is a reader supposed to judge that? No Democratic controlled locality that is partially reopening is mentioned in the article, nor are any of the partial reopening measures defined. We are simply supposed to take CNN’s word that Abbott and Reeves are acting irresponsibly, while Democrats supposedly engage in more practical steps.

Meanwhile this piece condemning reopening as a mismanagement of the pandemic omits any mention of how New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo may face impeachment proceedings for shuttering elderly patients into nursing homes, and hiding the death toll of his policy. Nor does it mention that he is currently facing a federal inquiry into the same policy. California Gov. Gavin Newsom is in similar hot water, as a recall petition gains steam on the back of his repeated violations of his own COVID-19 emergency orders.

Second is the note regarding COVID-19 caseloads and deaths. The dramatic fall in new cases and deaths is likely the data informing Abbot and Reeves’ decisions to reopen, but that information is buried about halfway down the article.

Texas’ and Mississippi’s COVID rates haven’t just fallen, they’ve cratered. On Jan. 16 Texas had 18,332 new COVID cases for a 7-day rolling average of 23,006 new cases daily, data from theNew York Times shows. By March 2 those numbers were 7,240 and 7,259 respectively. Mississippi on Jan. 12 had 1,648 new cases and a rolling average of 2,359 new cases daily. On March 2 that had fallen to 301 new cases and a rolling average of 582.

Following these twin absurdities, CNN also asserted that states and cities reopening under Democrats “unlike Texas and Mississippi, … are not acting as though the virus has simply gone away.”

This is laughable as the video atop the same CNN article is of a Greg Abbott press conference, in which the governor states:

To be clear, COVID has not, like, suddenly disappeared. COVID still exists in Texas, in the United States, and across the globe. But it is clear from the recoveries, from the vaccinations, from the reduced hospitalizations, and from the safe practices that Texans are using, that state mandates are no longer needed. So today I am issuing a new executive order that rescinds most of the earlier executive orders…. Now despite these changes remember this, removing state mandates does not end personal responsibility or the importance of caring for your family members, and caring for your friends, and caring for others in your community.

This was not some spur of the moment reopening. This was a data-driven decision, fully acknowledging the continued existence of the COVID-19 pandemic and encouraging personal responsibility among individual citizens. COVID rates are plummeting, vaccines are rolling out, and the reopening of Texas does not officially take place for another week. After more than a year of fear and uncertainty, this reopening is hardly an instance of rushing headlong into the unknown.

Helpful Psaki Gives Reporters A List Of Questions To Ask Her

Posted by M. C. on February 4, 2021

https://babylonbee.com/news/helpful-psaki-gives-reporters-questions-to-ask-her

WASHINGTON D.C.—Many of the White House correspondents are finding White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki to be much more accommodating than the previous administration’s press secretary. She’s so accommodating that she saves the reporters work by coming up with the questions they’re allowed to ask her.

“Here are some good questions for you,” Psaki told the reporters ahead of the latest press conference. “Make sure to ask this one about how good we are at the vaccine rollout.”

“Wow! This saves us so much work!” said the reporters. “Thank you so much!”

“Oh, I did have a question about Hunter Biden, but that isn’t on here,” said a Washington Post reporter.

Psaki rolled up a paper and hit the reporter on the head. “No! Bad! No!”

“I’m sorry!” the reporter whimpered. “Please love me!”

Hearing how helpful Psaki is, CNN’s Brian Stelter remarked, “How refreshing!” — though Stelter was not allowed to ask any questions himself, as Psaki said he is “too creepy.”

In America Truth Is the Hardest Thing to Find – PaulCraigRoberts.org

Posted by M. C. on January 29, 2021

Of course, it is part of the China demonization to blame it on China. The facts seem to be different and unsupportive of the narrative. There is abundant evidence that Dr. Fauci of the National Institutes of Health funded gain-of-function research of the Coronavirus at the Wuhan laboratory in China This is not conspiracy theory. This is data of record.

Research on making viruses more infectious borders on biowarfare, an illegal enterprise. In order to avoid violating the biowarfare convention, did Fauci shift the research to China? Did the virus escape the Wuhan lab or was the US financing of the research in China a set-up so that when the virus was released in order to gain more control over populations China would take the blame? Whenever there are no proper investigations, conspiracy theories emerge.

https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2021/01/28/in-america-truth-is-the-hardest-thing-to-find/

Paul Craig Roberts

The FBI and a grandstanding acting US attorney, Michael Sherwin, are after Trump supporters. The FBI has arrested 150 people for their alleged role in the alleged “Capitol riot.”  The fact that there was no Capitol riot doesn’t matter.  No facts matter.  This is a shut-down-all-opposition-to-The Establishment operation.  Sherwin is doing his best to concoct a “conspiracy” case against the arrested, as those arrested are not guilty of anything real.  No one broke into the Capitol.  A few were allowed in by the Capitol police.  Videos show the police opening the doors, people entering in single file, walking around, and exiting.  One video shows a black police officer provoking people up the stairs where a few did selfies sitting in Nancy Pelosi’s chair.  That was the extent of the “storming of the capitol.” But law enforcement (sic) officials say their investigation of the Trump conspirators is one of the most expansive in the FBI’s history, comparable to the Oklahoma City bombing and the Boston Marathon bombing, two suspected false flag operations.

Videos also show that Antifa personnel and a CNN journalist were among those the police let into the Capitol.  They are celebrating that they had succeeded in getting some Trumpers inside and videotaping it as evidence that the Capitol was stormed. I posted these videos or links to them previously.

In other words, nothing happened at the Capitol except a black police officer for unknown reasons shot and killed a woman who was a veteran and who was not threatening the black policeman. The other four reported deaths seem unrelated to the alleged “deadly violent assault on the Capitol.”  Three of the four, a woman and two men, died from “medical energencies.”  In a crowd as large as the Trump supporters, three natural deaths from heart attacks, especially as many protestors of the stolen election were from older generations, would not be unusual.  I have seen no report connecting the reported deaths to being trampled in a riot or hit with tear gas canisters, bricks, or other objects associated with a riot.  One policeman is reported to have been hit in the head with a fire extinguisher, but details have been spotty. Of course, details do not matter to the presstitutes, and the narrative can survive without them.

The presstitutes present the reported deaths as if they are victims of Trumpers urged on by Trump. But the alleged riot occurred before Trump finished his speech, which was delivered some distance away from the Capitol. This raises questions about who the people at the Capitol were. If they were Trumpers, you would think they would be at  Trump’s speech.

As for the alleged pipe bombs, if they exist and are not another invention to enhance the story against Trumpers, why the assumption that those Americans rallying for Trump placed them?  How would they have gained access to DNC and RNC offices.  If any pipe bombs, real or fake, existed, how do we know that Antifa or the FBI didn’t place them as enhancements to the narrative?

We cannot know what really happened, because the narrative is fixed as a weapon against Trump and his voters.

Shift gears now.  Do you remember the violent riots, billion dollar looting and destruction of business districts in Minneapolis, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, New York and many other cities? Clearly these violent riots were an organized conspiracy.  There is no FBI and US Attorney investigation of these real riots, real destruction, and real murders.  This wasn’t a make-believe “Trump insurrection.”  It was real. And there is no FBI investigation. No US attorney putting together a conspiracy charge.

What else do you need to know?  The FBI is after ordinary, good, decent, Americans who can be accused of anything and the presstitutes will report it as fact.  The FBI has no interest in real riots, real property damage, real murder.  The FBI and the acting US attorney Sherwin are not bringing charges against Antifa and Black Lives Matter. They are bringing charges against Trump Americans and against the Proud Boys.

Reuters reports that Enrique Tarrio, leader of the Proud Boys and clearly not a white supremacist, is an undercover police informer.  This might or might not be true. There is no doubt that the Proud Boys are infiltrated by police agencies.  We can’t even know that the organization wasn’t formed by FBI undercover agents.  On the other hand, Tarrio might simply be being set-up by the FBI so that he is removed from the leadership. As the Proud Boys are demonized by the pressitutes and Democrats as “an extremist organization,” having a Hispanic at the head doesn’t fit The Establishment Narrative.  The Establishment needs to have Tarrio removed and a white male put in his place.  As all white people are “systemic racists,” once the Proud Boys are led by a white male, it is transformed into an “extremist white supremacist organization” and is guilty of everything by definition.

Shift gears to Covid. The entire world is involved in lockdowns, mandatory wearing of ineffective masks, rushed vaccination with an untested vaccine.  The PCR Covid test has been disavowed by its creator as a misleading test for Covid. All deaths from other causes are reported as Covid deaths.  Masses of people have lost their jobs from lockdowns and cannot service their debt. Seasonal flu cases are no longer reported and are conflated with Covid cases.  In all of this confusion, the question of where did Covid come from has gone unexamined.

Gain-of-function research has to do with making a virus  easier to spread.  Why was this research being done?  The Establishment’s answer is that the research is necessary in order to gain scientific insight into how to prepare for a deadly pandemic.  First you create a highly infectious pathogen and then you seek knowledge of how to devise a vaccine that protects against it.

All of this might sound far-fetched, and I agree.  But we are surrounded by conspiracy theories. Which are false and which are true? We have the 9/11 conspiracy that a man hiding in a cave in Afghanistan destroyed the World Trade Center and part of the Pentagon. The conspiracy against Saddam Hussein of “weapons of mass destruction.” The conspiracy against Assad of “Assad’s use of chemical weapons.”  The conspiracy against Russia of “Russian invasions” and “interfering in US elections.” We have the “Russiagate” conspiracy against Trump.  And now the “violent storming of the Capitol” conspiracy.

The reason that democracies fail is that disinformation causes deadly attacks on democracy and civil liberty to go unrecognized by the people.

What does it take to get people to demand that their government give equal investigation to real Antifa and BLM riots as to a pretend “storming of the Capitol” by Trump supporters disturbed by what they regard as a stolen election?

What does it take to get people to demand to know why the US National Institutes of Health financed the research that made Covid infectious and easy to spread?

Why don’t we know how Covid came to be?

Isn’t it a conspiracy that the media speak with one voice–the voice of The Establishment?  Why are explanations controlled and alternative explanations censored?  Clearly, this is conspiracy.

Miracle: CNN COVID Death Counter Begins Counting Backward

Posted by M. C. on January 23, 2021

https://babylonbee.com/news/miracle-cnn-covid-death-counter-begins-counting-backward

U.S.—In what can only be described as a huge win for the Biden Administration’s COVID plan, CNN revealed this week that the total number of COVID deaths is actually going down.

“This is really, uh, quite something,” said CNN anchor John King as the infamous COVID death counter rapidly ticked downward behind him. “Only a few days into the Biden presidency, and total deaths are already decreasing! We’re not sure if it’s Biden’s brilliant mask mandate or his flawless vaccine delivery execution, but people across the country seem to be rising from their graves at a rapid pace– over 200,000 just yesterday.”

CNN executives are currently considering announcing the end of the COVID crisis in America. “At this point, I think we have better things to talk about,” said CNN President Jeff Zucker. “Now that empathy and competence have returned to the White House, there’s nothing really to report here anymore.”

CNN has announced they will be pulling their COVID field reporters to cover the Biden family dogs and Jill Biden’s exquisite wardrobe.

CNN: ‘Don’t Be Alarmed’ if People Start Dying After Taking the Vaccine – Summit News

Posted by M. C. on December 10, 2020

While deaths in care homes of people who take the vaccine are described as normal and nothing to do with the vaccine, some would suggest that you could make the exact same argument about deaths of those with multiple comorbidities in care homes that were put down to COVID.

Many have and have been shouted down for doing so.

https://summit.news/2020/12/08/cnn-dont-be-alarmed-if-people-start-dying-after-taking-the-vaccine/

Paul Joseph Watson

In an article on the COVID vaccine rollout, CNN says that Americans shouldn’t be alarmed if people start dying after taking the vaccine because “deaths may occur that won’t necessarily have anything to do with the vaccine.”

The advisory appeared in an article titled ‘Why vaccinate our most frail? Odd vote out shows the dilemma’ in which Dr. Kelly Moore, associate director of the Immunization Action Coalition, cautions that vaccines don’t work as well on the frail and elderly compared to healthy people.

“When shots begin to go into arms of residents, Moore said Americans need to understand that deaths may occur that won’t necessarily have anything to do with the vaccine,” states the report.

“We would not at all be surprised to see, coincidentally, vaccination happening and then having someone pass away a short time after they receive a vaccine, not because it has anything to do with the vaccination but just because that’s the place where people at the end of their lives reside,” Moore said.

She then said Americans shouldn’t be alarmed to see people dying a day or two after receiving the COVID vaccination.

“One of the things we want to make sure people understand is that they should not be unnecessarily alarmed if there are reports, once we start vaccinating, of someone or multiple people dying within a day or two of their vaccination who are residents of a long-term care facility. That would be something we would expect, as a normal occurrence, because people die frequently in nursing homes.”

While deaths in care homes of people who take the vaccine are described as normal and nothing to do with the vaccine, some would suggest that you could make the exact same argument about deaths of those with multiple comorbidities in care homes that were put down to COVID.

Many have and have been shouted down for doing so.

‘Fox News is Dead to Me’: Trump Retweets Actor’s Jab at US News Network – Sputnik International

Posted by M. C. on November 27, 2020

NBC, CBS, ABC-Dead to me thirty years ago.

FoxNews-Nonstarter

CNN-TSA or CNN Headline News on the screens at airports. Which is worse?

https://sputniknews.com/us/202011261081284821-fox-news-is-dead-to-me-trump-retweets-actors-jab-at-us-news-network/

by Oleg Burunov

Back in August, President Donald Trump tweeted that Fox News is “worse than fake news CNN”, recommending that followers “turn their dial” to the POTUS-friendly OANN network, which, along with Newsmax, has now repeatedly questioned Democrat Joe Biden’s projected win in the 3 November election.

Randy Quaid

The Independence Day actor, who is a staunch Trump supporter, posted the clip on his Twitter page earlier this month, also writing in capital letters, “Time to make [right-wing] OAN [One America News] and Newsmax rich. Fox [News] is dead to me”.

TIME TO MAKE OAN & NEWSMAX RICH. FOX IS DEAD TO ME! pic.twitter.com/IhnDXCJ7a7 — Randy Quaid (@RandyRRQuaid) November 13, 2020

“Fox News daytime ratings have completely collapsed. Weekend daytime even worse. Very sad to watch this happen, but they forgot what made them successful, what got them there. They forgot the Golden Goose. The biggest difference between the 2016 Election, and 2020, was Fox News”, the 70-year-old quoted Trump as saying in an ominous voice, with red and green lights seen flashing in the background.

The president has repeatedly promoted OANN and Newsmax over Fox News, which was slammed by Trump as not being adequately loyal and which was the first outlet to project Democrat Joe Biden’s victory in the 3 November election.

POTUS’ retweet followed his response to Quaid’s series of tweets on Tuesday, when the Oscar-winning actor claimed that Americans had “lost confidence in the system” that elects their leaders.

“79 million Americans believe election was rigged, the results fraudulent. We need an in-person-only-paper ballot re-vote, especially in the States where flagrant irregularities have occurred. No accuracy, no democracy!” Quaid argued.

“Are you listening Republicans?” Trump responded, also thanking the actor for “working hard to clean up the stench of the 2020 Election Hoax”.

YouTube Suspends OANN Over Alleged COVID-19 Misinformation

This came as YouTube suspended OANN from uploading content for a week for allegedly spreading misinformation about the novel coronavirus. It was not immediately clear what OANN’s video specifically said about COVID-19 that made YouTube decide to suspend the channel.

Additionally, the video-sharing platform, which was earlier picked by Trump to reach out to his potential voters during the 2020 election campaign, suspended OANN’s participation in its monetisation programme.

The developments were preceded by POTUS authorising the General Services Administration (GSA) to begin the transition of power to the Biden team.

At the same time, Trump reiterated in a tweet that he will not concede to Biden’s projected win due to alleged election fraud and vowed to continue fighting to overturn the results of the 3 November election.

Be seeing you
