Joe Biden vs. Stairs

Posted by M. C. on March 23, 2021

The US president is the only person on the planet to use stairs to get in a 747. Strictly a photo op. So why wasn’t the SS on top of this? Didn’t want to make Biden look worse than he already is or a step on the road to justify a Harris administration ?

Transgender: The Left’s Instrument of Ruin and Destruction – LewRockwell

Posted by M. C. on March 8, 2021

It is not necessary to go into great detail here. For a good reference we would recommend the scholarly survey titled The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression which chronicles some the crimes perpetrated by leftists in the course of the last century. The authors estimate that in the span of less than eight decades the left managed to kill nearly one hundred million people. Mind-boggling as this figure is, it is likely an underestimate.

By Vasko Kohlmayer

In the last few years, we have seen an increasingly enthusiastic embracing of the transgender cause by the Democrat Party.

So much so, that on the very first day of his presidency, Joe Biden signed an extreme measure known as Executive Order 13988. Fully titled “Executive Order on Preventing and Combating Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation” the measure forces, among other things, schools to allow biological males to compete with girls in athletics.

The Human Rights Campaign, a radical far-left LGBT group that has been relentlessly pushing the transgender agenda on the American public, praised Biden’s executive order as “most substantive, wide-ranging executive order concerning sexual orientation and gender identity ever issued by a United States president.”

Transgender, as may know, is an ideology that contends that human beings who have been born as biological males – i.e., men – can become women and vice versa.

This is an impossibility which we have discussed previously in this space. This fact, however, does nothing to prevent the Democrats from trying to impose this insanity on American society.

Why would the Democrats pursue such an absurd and extreme agenda?

To understand this, we need to keep in mind the larger picture. Taking advantage of the crisis generated by the COVID scamdemic and the overdose death of George Floyd, the left’s radical elements managed to take over the Democrat Party. This takeover happened between June and August of last year. During this period, the Democrat Party establishment lurched sharply leftwards. The net result is that the Democrat Party is now the political vehicle of the hard left whose woke and progressive agendas it now represents.

The primordial psychological impulse that has always actuated the hard left is the desire to kill, ruin and destroy. To see that this is in fact so, all you need to do is to take a quick historic survey of the countries where the hard left managed to gain complete control. Some of these countries would include the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Cuba, Cambodia, and Ethiopia, among others.

Given a free hand, the leftists in charge of these regimes managed to kill millions of people and completely ruin the societies over which they held sway.

Tellingly, this pattern of murder and destruction prevailed in every country where the left wielded unchecked power. Thus it is no accident, but an expression of the deep-seated impulse that actuates leftist psyche and behavior.

And this brings us to the seemingly inexplicable adoption of the transgender ideology by the Democrat Party. With the cognitively impaired Biden serving merely as a cover for the extremists in charge, the Democrats’ newly acquired enthusiasm for transgenderism is a result of the hard left’s recognition of the potential it offers to further the Democrats’ agenda of destruction.

The unique advantage of this ideology is that it destroys both the individual and society under the auspices of a single worldview. One of the problems faced by leftists of the past was that they had to use different – and often contradictory – ideas to realize their goals. To devastate their national economies, they had to impose centrally planned systems through which they could implement their ruinous economic measures. To destroy individuals, on the other hand, they had to employ altogether different ideological means which were often unrelated to their project of societal ruination. For example, they might accuse their victims of being collaborators with Western powers, of being sexual perverts, or enemies of the people, traitors and so forth.

The beauty of transgenderism is – as far as the hard left is concerned – that it accomplishes both under an umbrella of a unified ideology.

For individuals, gender constitutes the most basic form of human identity. On the most fundamental level, we identify with our physical bodies which are either male or female. It is through our gender that we make sense of our existence. It is our gender that determines how we relate to and behave vis-à-vis other human beings and how we handle life in general. Our gender serves as the basic guide by which we orientate ourselves in society and by which we navigate the complexity of human experience.

It is gender that guides our behavior from the earliest years. The gender paradigm is quintessentially binary in nature and its broad outlines are delineated by the following pairs of opposites:

Boy / girl
Son / daughter
Man / woman
Husband / wife
Father / mother

Our gender – whether we are a man or a woman – is irreversibly determined by our physiology, i.e., by our biological sex. As we have noted previously:

“In humans the nucleus of each cell normally contains forty-six chromosomes, arranged into twenty-three distinct pairs. In both males and females twenty-two of these pairs look the same. These chromosomes are called autosomes. The twenty-third pair, however, is quite different. It contains the so-called sex chromosomes. These chromosomes differ between males and females. Females have two copies of the so-called X chromosome, while males have one X and one Y chromosome. Thus, the twenty-third chromosomal pair takes the form of XY in males and XX in females.”

Because our gender – whether one is a man or a woman – is hardwired into biology on the physical level through our DNA, it is simply not possible to “transition” from one gender to another. In other words, someone who has been born a biological male can never become a real woman and vice versa.

No matter how hard we may try, we can never succeed in crossing from one gender to the other, because biological reality cannot be negated. Trying to traverse the gender divide is like running with your head against a ten-feet thick stone wall while hoping to break through to the other side. Those who attempt to do such a thing will hurt themselves seriously in the process. Similarly, those who attempt to “transition” from one gender to another are bound to sustain severe injuries without any realistic possibility of ever attaining their desired goal. Their injuries are grievous and extensive, encompassing the full spectrum of their person: psychological, emotional and physical.

So battered and traumatized, many transgender people simply cannot bear their pain. Unable to withstand their suffering, large numbers of them choose to die by their own hand. The statistics are brutal: the suicide rate of transgender people is more than twenty times the rate of their normal peers. Please mark this well. Transgender people are not two times more likely, or five times more likely or even ten times more likely to take their own lives than the general population. They are more than two thousand percent more likely to do so! This fact alone should spur governments to immediately put an end to this terrible person-destroying practice.

Depressed and mutilated, most transgender individuals are human beings who live in a grip of great pain. Many choose to die by their own hand, others die prematurely from the numerous health issues that arise as an inevitable consequence of the misguided “transitioning” process, and most of the rest lead lives of deep despondency and confusion.

These people are victims whose lives have been ruined by the ideology of transgenderism. What these unfortunates need is compassion and wise help from their environment and society. They need counseling to correct the misconceptions that have been planted in their minds and they need support so they can settle in their natural gender. This, however, is not what the hard leftists who have seized control of the Democrat Party wish to do. Instead, they are pushing this pernicious ideology on American society through executive orders and other extra-legislative means. These radicals are clearly happy with the destruction that transgenderism visits upon those who fall prey to it. This willingness to facilitate the ruination of human beings should not surprise anyone who is aware of the dark impulse that has always informed the hard left psyche. Tragically, humanity has had the misfortune to suffer amply from the manifestation of this impulse in the course of the last century.

In a future installment we will discuss how the left uses transgenderism as a ploy to attack and undermine the foundations of society as a whole.

EconomicPolicyJournal.com: Biden’s Chief Economist at the Department of Labor Appears to Have No Understanding as to What Causes High Black Unemployment

Posted by M. C. on February 27, 2021

And there you have it, Biden’s pick for chief Labor economist, confused about the basics of how minimum wage laws cause damage.

https://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2021/02/bidens-chief-economist-at-department-of.html

Joe Biden has appointed 36-year-old Janelle Jones as the Department of Labor’s chief economist.

Bloomberg reports:

For more than a decade in government and research organizations, Jones has focused on finding out why Black people were falling behind in the labor market. She coined the phrase “Black Women Best” to drive home the idea that if policies are crafted to help this historically disadvantaged group, they would help all workers.

“When I see that it’ll take four to five years for the economy to return to full employment, what I’m thinking is that it’ll take Black workers 10 or 12 years,” Jones said. “My role here will be to think about those sorts of things, to give a lens to union workers, low-wage workers, different types of workers who aren’t usually centered.”

But her writing appears to chiefly focused on reporting on new data studies on the differences between black unemployment and white unemployment.

There are these, for example:

Again, these are all collections of data without any discussion of what causes high unemployment among blacks. There is never a mention, for example, of the high minimum wage as a factor which makes it difficult for black teenagers to get that all important first job.
Bizarrely, one of her few writings which go beyond data collection reports is an essay supporting increased minimum wages—which causes higher black unemployment!:

At the beginning of 2018, 18 states will increase their minimum wage, providing about $5 billion in additional wages to 4.5 million workers across the country. In a majority of these states, minimum wage increases (ranging from $0.35 in Michigan to $1.00 in Maine) are the result of legislation or ballot measures approved by voters in recent years. Eight of these states (Alaska, Florida, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, Ohio, and South Dakota) will have smaller automatic increases that adjust the minimum wage to keep pace with price growth. This automatic inflation adjustment preserves the buying power of the minimum wage, which has steadily eroded over time.

And there you have it, Biden’s pick for chief Labor economist, confused about the basics of how minimum wage laws cause damage.

As Thomas Sowell put it:

The minimum wage law is very cleverly misnamed. The real minimum wage is zero – and that is what many inexperienced and low-skilled people receive as a result of legislation that makes it illegal to pay them what they are currently worth to an employer.

Most economists have long recognized that minimum wage laws increase unemployment among the least skilled, least experienced, and minority workers. With a little experience, these workers are likely to be worth more. But they cannot move up the ladder if they can’t get on the ladder.

Joe Biden’s Two-Front Battle Against Covid and Climate Change May Trigger Severe Food Shortages for U.S. Consumers — Strategic Culture

Posted by M. C. on February 15, 2021

Another reason that the future does not bode well for American farming is that Biden’s nominee for Agricultural Secretary is none other than Tom Vilsack, who also served as the USDA chief in the Obama administration.

Under Obama, Vilsack happily rammed through a number of delectable Dr. Frankenstein technologies, like cloned-farm animals, lab-grown meat and more new genetically modified organisms (GMOs), many from Monsanto. So while there will probably be something to eat in Biden’s new America, it might be a stretch to actually call it ‘food.’ Indeed, for those Americans who prefer a bounty of farm-fresh, organic produce as opposed to some artificial, 3D meat knockoff, the nightmare has just begun.

https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2021/02/05/joe-biden-two-front-battle-against-covid-and-climate-change-trigger-severe-food-shortages-us-consumers/

Robert Bridge

In the United States, the local farmers, it seems, are being squeezed out of business, or paid not to grow food, while Big Agriculture is more concerned with exporting its supplies than keeping domestic food stocks safe and affordable.

In an effort to fight two wars at the same time – against a pandemic as well as purported climate change – the Biden administration risks putting the United States on a crash course with food shortages and soaring prices as early as this year.

Sealed up inside of his White House fortress, surrounded by a ring of steel and thousands of National Guardsmen, U.S. President Joe Biden has been busy signing off on a raft of executive orders without the nuisance of democratic debate and congressional prattling. One of those presidential actions envisions the conservation of 30 percent of the nation’s lands and waters over the next decade. Where will all of that protected land come from? Perhaps from Bill Gates, who now owns the deed to most of the farmland in the nation? Doubtful. The answer is from small, independent farmers, whose agricultural activities, the Democrats say, are responsible for 10 percent of the manmade greenhouse emissions purportedly frying up the planet.

While occupying the previously unknown ‘Office of the President-Elect’, the Democratic leader said he would pay U.S. farmers to “put their land in conservation” and live without their ‘cash crops.’ How much the tillers of the soil will receive has not been disclosed, nor if this program will be enforced upon farmers against their will.

Another reason that the future does not bode well for American farming is that Biden’s nominee for Agricultural Secretary is none other than Tom Vilsack, who also served as the USDA chief in the Obama administration. Biden said Vilsack will help American agriculture become “the first in the world to achieve net-zero [greenhouse] emissions.” But is anyone considering what will happen if or when America achieves net-zero food production at a time when the rest of the world is hoarding limited supplies? Equally concerning will be the quality of the food being produced.

A Brave New Foodless Future?

Paradoxically, at a time when the United States finds itself smack in the middle of a pandemic, which has caused supply chains to be stretched to the breaking point, it is not saving for a ‘rainy day,’ but rather exporting its farm products like there’s no tomorrow. Consider the corn exports just to China alone, below.

Corn is the winner today and it’s all about exports as China has stepped back into the market once again today with a huge 1.7MT export sale of US corn. it has been a busy week so far for US corn:https://t.co/MDXdCJ7H7J pic.twitter.com/VJ5PuS3OIa

— RitaBuyse (@ACOMRB) January 28, 2021

And when it is not buying regular corn supplies, China is buying up massive amounts of U.S. ethanol, the corn-based biofuel. The Asian economic powerhouse has bought “roughly 200 million gallons” of ethanol for the first half of 2021, matching its previous record for annual imports of the corn-based biofuel, Archer Daniels Midland Co Chief Financial Officer Ray Young told Reuters.

At the same time, America’s second leading cash crop, soybean, which is used in many products as well as for livestock, has also experienced something of a rout that looks set to become increasingly worse as the year progresses.

“The scramble for beans comes as record U.S. soybean exports and an historically large domestic crush whittled down supplies and sent prices to the highest since 2014,” the Reuters article continued. “Crop concerns in South America due to dry weather have further stoked worries over supplies and global food security during the coronavirus pandemic.”

The National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA), which represents 95 percent of the U.S.-based industry, said the 2020 crush was the largest ever, “helped by demand for diesel biofuel and unusually weak production in top soymeal producer Argentina.” Such a rapid pace could continue for only a few more months, analysts were quoting by NOPA as saying, after which soybean supplies “are uncertain.”

The question demands repeating: if the United States understands that it is dealing with a potentially critical situation with regards to food security in the middle of a pandemic, why does it continue to export at breakneck speed? While the major agricultural powerhouses, like Argentina, Brazil, Ukraine, Russia and China are taking steps to protect their domestic food supplies, keeping prices in check, the U.S. seems to be bucking the trend.

Ukraine is limiting 20-21 corn exports, 24.0 mmts vs 29.0 mmts prior year.

Ukraine is not allowing the world market drawing down their corn stocks.#corn #agtrade

— National Farmers (@NatlFarmers) January 26, 2021

Perhaps the closest thing to a siren warning of danger came from a recent report by Bloomberg that carried the headline, ‘China Is So Thirsty for Soy That America Could Soon Be Importing.’ The question, however, that the article never dares to ask is: ‘importing from where?’

“China’s appetite for U.S. soy is draining silos to the point that American processors may need to import the most beans in years this summer,” the article began. “The boom in U.S. shipments to China comes after Brazil and other countries effectively ran out of exportable supplies – prospects traders in North America are now facing.”

Christian Westbrook, the host of Ice Age Farmer who has been warning about a potential “engineered famine” for some time, summed up the situation as “game over.”

“That’s why, to see the Biden administration roll forward these terrible executive orders, it’s insane,” Westbrook commented. “Other countries are frantically taking steps…to protect their domestic food supplies, keep prices low and be able to feed their animals, and then, in turn, be able to feed their people. Not here.”

Indeed, what seems to be happening in the United States is that the local farmers are being squeezed out of business, or paid not to grow food, while Big Agriculture is more concerned with exporting its supplies than keeping domestic food stocks safe and affordable. That seems to be a reckless policy at the best of times; at the peak of a pandemic, however, it is simply a recipe for disaster.

Public Servants or Parasites? – American Thinker

Posted by M. C. on February 12, 2021

The saddest thing is Mr. Green feels he has to ask the question.

Don’t forget the FBI. It’s in a class all by itself. Our sworn law enforcement agents initiated a coup attempt against a duly elected president. They set a perjury trap for his national security advisor. They even falsified evidence to a FISA court.

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2021/02/public_servants_or_parasites.html

By John Green

I have a question.  When did politicians and federal employees start calling themselves “public servants”?  Even more importantly, why are we letting them?  It’s almost as if they’re trying to claim the mantle of nobility for making a sacrifice in the public interest.  But I don’t understand what that sacrifice is.  They’re paid better and have better benefits than most private-sector employees.  They’re rarely held accountable for their performance.  Why do we treat them as if they’re serving a higher calling than any other profession in the country?

Take Joe Biden, for example.  He claims to have been in public service for over 50 years.  But what has he done in that time?  He was the first senator to initiate a personal attack on a Supreme Court nominee.  His attack on Robert Bork was shameful, and helped create the current environment of Supreme Court politicization.  He also used the power of his office to enrich his family members.  Exactly how did lunch-bucket Joe become a multimillionaire on the salary of a politician?  I fail to see how that has been a service to the country.

Joe certainly isn’t alone. Was Nancy Pelosi serving the public interests when she withheld COVID-19 relief for months — just to deny President Trump a win?  Was she also serving her constituents when she bought stock in Tesla just days before President Asterisk signed an order directing all agencies to switch to electric cars?  There’s a term for that — “insider trading.”  Being the civic-minded public servant she is, I’m sure she’ll be sharing her windfall with her constituents.

It’s not all about money.  Some politicians have a completely different idea of providing service.  Eric Swalwell placed himself in servitude to a Chinese spy.  Exactly what “service” did Eric provide?  Was it anything that would allow him to claim nobility?  I mean in the U.S. — not in China.

Let’s not forget the bureaucrats that “serve” our nation.  Look at the EPA. They’re good at two things — choking the life out of commerce, and polluting rivers.

In the name of serving the public interest, the IRS targeted the Tea Party, thus silencing their voice in the midst of a presidential campaign.  They also leaked confidential tax records to the press, and provided tax records to the FBI without a warrant.  Isn’t it noble of them to poke us in the eye while taking our money?  Perhaps the next time you’re at the grocery store checkout, the clerk should send your shopping list to child protective services rather than thank you.  It would be the “public servant” thing to do.

Don’t forget the FBI. It’s in a class all by itself.  Our sworn law enforcement agents initiated a coup attempt against a duly elected president.  They set a perjury trap for his national security advisor.  They even falsified evidence to a FISA court.

I’ve heard the arguments that the FBI rank and file are honest and professional.  We shouldn’t blame the whole FBI for a “few bad apples.”  What complete balderdash!  If most of them were honest, where were the whistleblowers during the investigation of President Trump?  As far as being professional, how did they fail to prevent the Boston Marathon bombing — even after they’d received a tip that the Tsarnaevs were up to something?  I have the same question about the Pulse Nightclub massacre.  Was it also just a “few bad apples” that tried to frame Richard Jewell for the Atlanta Olympics bombing?  The FBI even had warnings about the 9/11 attack, yet failed to act.

Of course, our highly professional FBI agents were able to determine that a noose was really a garage-door pull.  It only required 15 agents and five days to make that determination.  That is some cunning police work!  It appears that the FBI is either using their badges to target political enemies, or they’re just a modern-day version of the Keystone Cops in tailored suits.  But sacrificing for the public interest — I’m not seeing it.

These are just a few examples.  The other alphabet soup agencies aren’t any better.  Employees across all federal agencies formed the “resistance” to fight all things Trump.  They gave us four years of leaks and unconfirmed anonymous sources undermining anything Donald Trump tried to accomplish.  They did it all because they decided we needed something other than what we voted for.  How would you rate a waiter that brings you want they want to serve you, not what you ordered?

Spare me the claims of nobility.  Who’s really laboring to benefit the country?  Is it politicians and bureaucrats whose only focus seems to be amassing power and choking commerce?  Or is it the nameless workers who get up at dawn every day to keep this country running.  The real nobility belongs to the farmers who put meals on our tables, the truckers who ensure supplies arrive on time, and the linemen that keep the lights on.  As for our self-proclaimed federal “public servants,” — they’re overpaid employees with lifetime job security, at best.  At worst, they’re parasites on society with aspirations to become our rulers.

The next time a politician or bureaucrat says they’re “serving” me — I have one thing to say: I want my tip back.

EconomicPolicyJournal.com: TODAY IN CRONY AMERICA: Biden and Yellen to Meet with Top CEOs to Talk Stimulus

Posted by M. C. on February 11, 2021

Bottom line: They are for big spending and more inflation because they know a good chunk of the money will find its way to their corporations first, long before it destroys the buying power of those on fixed incomes.

https://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2021/02/today-in-crony-america-biden-and-yellen.html

Janet Yellen at Biden inauguration

President Joe Biden will on Tuesday meet with the chief executives of some of the country’s largest businesses in the Oval Office to discuss his $1.9 trillion Covid stimulus plan, reports CNBC.

Among those expected to meet with Biden and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen are JPMorgan’s Jamie Dimon, Walmart’s Doug McMillon, Gap’s Sonia Syngal, Lowe’s Marvin Ellison and Tom Donohue of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Though the exact agenda of the afternoon meeting wasn’t immediately available, the White House said that the group will review the “critical need” for Biden’s massive rescue plan that’s currently making its way through Congress.

This should be consider a sit-down of Biden-Yellen with crony America. Josh Bolten, president and CEO of the influential Business Roundtable, told CNBC last week that business leaders generally do not support conservative efforts to “whittle down” the size of the Biden plan.

Dimon, McMillon and Synga are members of the roundtable.

Bottom line: They are for big spending and more inflation because they know a good chunk of the money will find its way to their corporations first, long before it destroys the buying power of those on fixed incomes.

Joe Biden’s Plan to Repeal the Second Amendment | The Libertarian Institute

Posted by M. C. on February 6, 2021

HR127, known as the Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act introduced by Rep. Jackson Lee, Sheila [D-TX-18], is, without a doubt, the most tyrannical gun control bill ever proposed. Like all gun control measures, this bill would hit the poor and minority communities the hardest. Its massive scope would also turn tens of millions of legal, law abiding gun owners into felons overnight.

Requires an $800 annual government insurance fee for all current and future gun owners, to be paid to the Attorney General EVERY YEAR.

https://libertarianinstitute.org/articles/joe-bidens-plan-to-repeal-the-second-amendment/

by Matt Agorist

HR127, known as the Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act introduced by Rep. Jackson Lee, Sheila [D-TX-18], is, without a doubt, the most tyrannical gun control bill ever proposed. Like all gun control measures, this bill would hit the poor and minority communities the hardest. Its massive scope would also turn tens of millions of legal, law abiding gun owners into felons overnight.

As TFTP reported in December, before Joe Biden took office, his administration has major plans for eviscerating the Second Amendment. Biden has been an outspoken gun grabber and on his campaign website, he’s stated that he will use executive action to enforce gun control.

On the site, Biden states that he will use executive action to “get weapons of war off our streets.” Calling an AR-style weapon a “weapon of war” is laughable given the fact that Biden, under president Obama, aided in the wholesale slaughter of countless innocent civilians in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, and Somalia—using actual “weapons of war” like drone strikes, hellfire missiles, and sanctions.

Nevertheless, the new boss—who is the same as the old boss, contrary to what many believe—is presiding over a Congress that will consider the most tyrannical gun control measures in the history of America, HR127.

Former vice presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party, Spike Cohen points out that “HR127 would be most heavily enforced against those with the least ability to defend themselves in court: the poor, and minorities. It will also make things much worse in marginalized communities, where only police and criminals will have guns.”

In a post to Facebook, Cohen narrowed down some of the bill’s most ominous points that would target every single gun owner in the country. Firearms License required for any new gun purchases or ownership transfers.
Licensee Must be 21, complete a 24 hour gun safety training course, and must undergo a psych evaluation.
Multi-tier license. Individual license for ownership and display of “antique” firearm, standard firearm license, and “military style” license.
Military license requires additional 24 hour safety course.
Licensing is revoked immediately for anyone indicted of a crime in which the sentence lasts longer than 1 year.
This heavily discriminates against anyone who has ever seen a therapist or had to get mental health treatment, such as victims of abuse and people with depression, and veterans seeking care for PTSD. Depression and addiction are mentioned specifically as reasons for licensing denial.
Also, gun licensing is expensive, which makes ownership less accessible for those who need their own protection most.
Requires an $800 annual government insurance fee for all current and future gun owners, to be paid to the Attorney General EVERY YEAR.
There is no grandfather clause, meaning this applies to anyone that owns a gun at all, not just those who purchase a new firearm after this passes.
This fee will certainly go up each year. It’s yet another barrier for those in poverty to be able to defend themselves.
Mandatory Nationwide Firearms Registration & Database
ALL firearms owned shall be registered under penalty of up to $150,000 and 15 years in prison.
Serial, make, model, date, identity of owner, and the location of where the firearm will be stored to be collected and maintained in a database by the US Attorney General.
Names and information of all those who may have access to the firearms shall be collected as well.
This information to be accessible by state, local, and federal police, military, as well as state and local governments.
 Ammunition and Magazine Bans
Bans .50cal and larger ammunition outright.
Bans all mags that hold more than 10 rounds
This ammo is mostly used for hunting and is rarely used against people. The most common handguns and rifles use magazines that exceed this arbitrary limit, which makes TENS OF MILLIONS of law-abiding gun owners felons overnight.
Illegal ownership of even a single round of banned ammo will result in up to $100,000 in fines AND 20 years in prison.

This bill was originally presented last year and reinvented this year with a whole new level of tyranny added to it both in the government and out of it. For example, the registration data will be made public. Given the cancel culture mass hysteria-inciting media frenzy as of late, this list could be used by big tech and woke cults to target their political rivals. They could seek out this data and use it to implement blacklists, social media bans, and any other number of ways the cancel culture attacks those with whom they disagree.

As we reported in December, many of these gun control measures are already on the president’s agenda, which go even further.

One of Biden’s most ominous moves in regard to controlling guns is his push for “smart gun technology” that will require biometrics to fire in an ostensible move to “prevent unauthorized use.” In reality, however, this paves the way for bad actors, including the state and hackers, to be able to control, hack, or essentially turn off your gun, making it a paperweight.

Biden also plans to pick up where Trump left off in regard to extreme risk laws, also called “red flag” laws. Under Biden’s plan, which is similar to the many plans implemented under Trump, family members or law enforcement officials will be able to make claims—many which involve no evidence—allowing a person’s guns to be temporarily taken until that person is declared fit enough to get them back.

This attacks on the Second Amendment must be resisted. Please consider calling your representative and peacefully telling them to oppose this bill.

On the last day of the Donald Trump’s presidency, his Environmental Protection Agency announced that it would create drinking water limits for PFOS and PFOA, two of the toxic PFAS chemicals that have been linked to high cholesterol, immunodeficiencies, ulcerative colitis, reproductive issues and some cancers.

We hope this means that sometime during the Biden years we’ll finally see legal drinking water limits for these harmful substances.

At another time in our nation’s history, this news might have caused quite a stir. But on Jan. 19, 2021, it was mostly overlooked. Much of the nation was reeling from a Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol building, preparing to inaugurate President Joe Biden, hoping to finally move past voter fraud lawsuits, and following rollout of a game-changing COVID-19 vaccine.

That the focus was elsewhere on Jan. 19 is emblematic of efforts to address PFAS contamination over the last 12 months, particularly here in Pennsylvania, where it seems like the commonwealth accomplished little worth celebrating in 2020.

And while this news out of Washington seems promising, the last thing Pennsylvania ought to do now is sit back and say ‘Biden’s got this’. We don’t know what the EPA will come up with and these processes have a way of getting dragged out considerably or curtailed altogether.

Instead, we challenge Governor Tom Wolf, his PFAS Action Team and his Department of Environmental Protection to make it clear that it’s PA — and not the EPA — that’s taking the wheel, putting 2020 in the rearview, and driving the conversation on an issue that’s vitally important to tens of thousands of Pennsylvanians.

These so-called ‘forever chemicals’ were once used widely in non-stick pans, stain-resistant clothing, food packaging, and, importantly, in firefighting foams and in a number of industrial processes. The DEP’s list of PFAS-impacted areas includes the water supplies near Letterkenny Army Depot, Franklin County; Fort Indiantown Gap, Lebanon County; and Tobyhanna Army Depot, Monroe County.

But perhaps the commonwealth’s largest concentration of contaminated groundwater is along the border of Bucks and Montgomery counties, where PFOA and PFOS were detected in the drinking water of what ultimately turned out to be more than 70,000 residents near the former Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Willow Grove, the former Naval Air Warfare Center in Warminster and the Horsham Air National Guard Station.

In late 2018, Governor Tom Wolf signed an executive order creating a PFAS Action Team which, among other goals, is working to establish a Maximum Contaminant Level for PFAS.

Although the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency had previously set a ‘health advisory level’ of 70 parts per trillion for both PFOA and PFOS, the substances are still considered unregulated. The advisory is only a guidance and one that’s been criticized as not stringent enough.

The establishment of a drinking water standard would help protect residents and provide leverage to those whose water supplies exceed the limit and are seeking compensation or remediation.

According to the PFAS Action Team, a statewide sampling program is a ‘key component for the development of enforceable regulatory drinking water standards for PFAS.’

Yet that component stalled in 2020. At the outset, the team’s plan was to gather data from at least 360 public water systems located near potential PFAS hotspots. Collection began in June 2019 and the team said it planned to release test results to the public every three months until sampling wrapped up, probably in June 2020. But the team hasn’t published any results since December 2019, and that Dec. 5, 2019 press release is still the most recent item listed in the ‘What’s New’ section of the ‘

PFAS in Pennsylvania ‘ page of the DEP’s website.

‘The COVID-19 pandemic did set back sampling of sites temporarily but we are again collecting and analyzing samples,’ DEP community relations coordinator Virginia Cain said this week in an email.

Cain also noted that the DEP has contracted with Drexel University to study the toxicological impacts on human health.

‘The data will be used to move forward with proposing a Maximum Contaminant Level rulemaking,’ Cain said. ‘DEP is also finalizing cleanup standards for soil contaminated with PFAS chemicals.’

Here’s hoping that Pennsylvania finally gives impacted residents something to raise a glass to by the end of 2021.

Biden Pick For Pentagon Mideast Desk Bragged That US “Owns” Syrian Oil Territory | ZeroHedge

Posted by M. C. on February 2, 2021

At another think tank panel discussion in June of 2019, Stroul further advocated the war is about standing up to Russia in the Middle East:

“This isn’t just about a Syrian conflict, this is about great power competition and what we’re going to do about Russia and the foothold it’s been given in the Middle East,” she said.

Stroul’s appointment is as clear a sign as any that regime change targeting Assad is still on the table, and the US occupation of the country is not drawing down any time soon; instead it is only likely to expand in order to also “confront” Russia and Iran.

President Joe Biden recently tapped Dana Stroul to lead the Pentagon’s Middle East desk, according to Axios and other reports. She’ll serve as the deputy assistant secretary of Defense for the Middle East after a previous stint as a senior official on the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and as a longtime fellow at the hawkish Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

She had also previously worked on Mideast policy at the Pentagon under the Obama administration. As we noted before, this and other appointments gives more alarming context to Biden’s constant message on the foreign policy front that “America is back” and is “ready to lead the world” once again.

Stroul was recently on record as touting that America “owns” one-third of Syrian territory, particularly the resource-rich northeast region. So much for the administration “distancing” itself from Trump policies… (given Trump was the first to repeatedly and bluntly state the US was there “securing” Syria’s oil).

At a US gov-funded think tank, this official who oversaw Congress’ Syria Study Group outlines the continued regime-change strategy.

Stroul made the comments during a televised think tank event in D.C. hosted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in October 2019.

“The United States still had compelling forms of leverage on the table to shape an outcome that was more conducive and protective of US interests,” she explained at the time. She had been co-chair of the Syria Study Group, previously described by journalist Ben Norton as a “bi-partisan working group appointed by Congress to draft a new US war plan for Syria.”

Here’s how the new Biden-appointed head of the Pentagon’s Middle East desk described the US occupation of Syria and Pentagon strategic objectives there:

“The first one was the one-third of Syrian territory that was owned via the US military with its local partner, the Syrian Democratic Forces. Now this was a light footprint on the US military, only about a thousand troops over the course of the Syria Study Group’s report; and then the tens of thousands of forces, both Kurdish and Arab, under the Syria Democratic Forces.

And that one-third of Syria is the resource-rich – it’s the economic powerhouse of Syria. So where the hydrocarbons are, which obviously is very much in the public debate here in Washington these days, as well as the agricultural powerhouse.”

“We argued that it wasn’t just about this one-third of Syrian territory that the US military and our military presence owned, both to fight ISIS (Daesh) and also as leverage for affecting the overall political process for the broader Syria conflict,” she added of her policy recommendations.

Look at those photos while you hear Biden’s pick to head Pentagon’s Middle East Desk, Dana Stroul, say the oil-rich territory is “owned” by the US military.

This “leverage” which has included devastating sanctions is now driving Syria into economic collapse and with much of the population now unable to access food and fuel.

Biden’s newly appointed Mideast official was literally bragging about “owning” the “agricultural powerhouse” of Syria as ordinary Syrians starve

The Pentagon busy “spreading democracy” and plundering the oil in the process:

At another think tank panel discussion in June of 2019, Stroul further advocated the war is about standing up to Russia in the Middle East:

“This isn’t just about a Syrian conflict, this is about great power competition and what we’re going to do about Russia and the foothold it’s been given in the Middle East,” she said.

Stroul’s appointment is as clear a sign as any that regime change targeting Assad is still on the table, and the US occupation of the country is not drawing down any time soon; instead it is only likely to expand in order to also “confront” Russia and Iran.

How Treason And Thoughtcrime Are Easier Than Ever In Biden’s America | The Daily Caller

Posted by M. C. on February 2, 2021

In 1918, the Wilson administration responded to rising criticism of the U.S. role in World War One with a Sedition Act that “made virtually any criticism of the government or the war a criminal offense,” as historian Arthur Ekirch noted. Government propaganda fanned intolerance and torrents of informants. Congress repealed that Sedition Act at the end of 1920, but other Sedition Act provisions remain in place.

President Joe Biden is supplementing his calls for national unity with fervent denunciations of extremists, insurrectionists, and domestic terrorists, as well as comparing Senate opponents to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

Biden is now in charge of the world’s largest law firm – the U.S. Justice Department – as well as armies of federal enforcement agents. Biden and his Democratic allies have the tools to assure a steady stream of denunciations and indictments in the coming years against Americans targeted for their political beliefs.

Democrats are already vastly expanding the only crime defined by the Constitution – treason. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi declared that Republicans who signaled they would not ratify the Electoral College results earlier this month “gave aid and comfort to [protestors] with the idea that they were embracing a lie… that the election did not have legitimacy.”

As law professor Jonathan Turley noted, Pelosi’s use of “the treason language in the Constitution” suggests that Republican members were more than just politically at fault… they were traitors.” A court of law would never convict Republican members of treason, but Pelosi can convict them in the court of public opinion, thanks to the hanging judges at CNN and MSNBC.

Opposing Biden becomes the equivalent of opposing democracy, and fuels demands for expelling more than a hundred Republicans from Congress. (RELATED ‘The Enemy Is Within’: Pelosi Calls For More Security To Defend Against Members Who ‘Want To Bring Guns On The Floor’)

After the clash at the Capitol on January 6, President-elect Joe Biden declared that the action of the rioters “borders on sedition.” (Actually, Republican members of Congress who objected to the Electoral College verdict were being denounced as the “sedition caucus” even before January 6).

Federal prosecutor Michael Sherwin, who is handling the January 6 cases, said he has given other federal lawyers “marching orders… to build seditious and conspiracy charges” against the most abusive rioters. The federal Seditious Conspiracy statute declares that if two or more persons conspire to “oppose by force the authority [of the U.S. government], or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law… or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States… they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.”

This is a sweeping legal drift net that could spur 20-year prison sentences for anyone who helped the dude who proudly carried off Nancy Pelosi’s lectern. Many members of Congress want all of the 800 protestors harshly punished for “desecrating” the “temple” of democracy, their “hallowed halls,” and their “sacred space” — even though most of those present committed no violence and left peacefully of their own accord after a few hours.

There are ample federal laws to vigorously prosecute and harshly punish the people who violently attacked Capitol Police. But blanket charges of sedition against protestors who were guilty merely of unlawful entry would mean scourging them as if they were political heretics.

While it is unclear how many protestors will be charged with sedition, reliance on that legal penalty blew up prior administrations. The Sedition Act of 1798 briefly helped President John Adams persecute newspaper editors who criticized his policies, but outrageous prosecutions helped Thomas Jefferson defeat Adams in the 1800 election.

On Inauguration Day, former CIA chief John Brennan declared on MSNBC that “Biden team” members “are now moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about what looks very similar to insurgency movements… an unholy alliance frequently of religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, Nativists, even libertarians.”

Americans who hold ideas that politicians associate with any of those groups could be in the cross-hairs of federal investigators in the coming years, according to Brennan’s warning. Beyond treason and sedition, more than 4000 federal criminal laws provide ample opportunities to hammer potential or actual government opponents. (RELATED: ‘QAnon Shaman’ Prepared To Testify In Trump’s Impeachment Trial)

Will Biden’s denunciation of protestors as “domestic terrorists” spur a bureaucratic stampede to “round up the usual suspects?” Prosecutors will find a ready tool in the Patriot Act’s provision that defined “domestic terrorism” as violent or threatening private actions intended “to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion.”

A few scuffles at a rally can transform a protest group into a terrorist entity. If the violence at a rally is done by a government agent provocateur – as happened at 1960s antiwar protests – the government could still treat all the group’s members as terrorists. “Material support of terrorism” is also broadly defined, which could allow the feds to drop the hammer on anyone who donated to protest groups capriciously designated as terrorist entities.

Federal agents have a long record of creating the crimes that politicians rush to exploit. The FBI admits that it formally entitles its army of informants to commit more than 5000 crimes a year. FBI crime sprees have been propelled by decades of Supreme Court decisions that effectively defined entrapment out of existence.

Almost anything that an undercover government agent can do to induce someone to violate the law is fair play. Federal judges have even countenanced undercover agents who enticed their targets into sexual affairs to lure them to their legal doom.

In the coming months and years, many people will likely be convicted not for violent acts against the government but for unwise or reckless words that they uttered in proximity to government informants – regardless of whether they were coaxed into saying things for which they could be legally impaled.

Critics of the Biden administration may suffer the same law enforcement abuses that Muslims suffered after the 9/11 attacks. The vast majority of people charged with international terrorism offenses in the first decade after 9/11 were induced by the FBI to behave in ways that prompted their arrest, according to Trevor Aaronson, author of “The Terror Factory: Inside the FBI’s Manufactured War on Terrorism.”

Federal agents targeted numerous young Muslims who were mentally feeble or psychologically disabled in order to pad their conviction counts, thereby helping score bigger budgets from Congress.

The American media mostly ignored the due process travesties that occurred in post-9/11 terrorism prosecutions. Considering the histrionic effort by pundits and Democrats to portray the January 6 Capitol clash as the equivalent of the 9/11 attacks, we can expect similar media nonchalance over federal abuses targeting Biden’s enemies.’

Targeting individuals for entrapment and prosecution based on their political beliefs and associations will help tarnish Biden’s political opponents across the board. CNN’s Don Lemon recently denounced all Trump voters as guilty of siding with Nazis and the Klan, and prosecutions of anti-Biden activists could help tar any Biden critic as a potentially dangerous zealot.

The Department of Homeland Security issued a warning on Wednesday that “ideologically-motivated violent extremists with objections to the exercise of governmental authority and the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives” pose a threat to public safety. Once politicians establish that extremism is intolerable, the definition of extremism will be consistently expanded to justify outlawing more ideas.

The FBI could become the 800-pound gorilla in efforts to police thoughts. The FBI brazenly violated federal surveillance laws in recent years but suffered no real punishment from the courts, Congress, or various administrations.

Many liberal Democrats are grateful to the FBI for its role in hobbling the Trump administration, making it less likely that the Biden team would leash the agency.

From 1956 through 1971, the FBI’s COINTELPRO program conducted thousands of covert operations to incite street warfare between violent groups, to get people fired, to portray innocent people as government informants, to destroy marriages, and to cripple or destroy leftist, black, white racist, and anti-war organizations. A 1976 Senate report explained that the FBI targeted and harassed vast numbers of peaceful protesters because of its “belief that dissident speech and association should be prevented because they were incipient steps toward the possible ultimate commission of an act which might be criminal.”

That report concluded: “The American people need to be assured that never again will an agency of the government be permitted to conduct a secret war against those citizens it considers threats to the established order.” But legal restrictions on FBI operations are mostly a mirage at this point and the agency operates with near-total impunity. (RELATED: Ex-FBI Lawyer Receives Probation For Altering Email About Carter Page)

Don’t expect an official Federal Register notice if the FBI decides to revive its persecution of dissent. The original COINTELPRO was kept secret for 15 years until a group of patriotic citizens burglarized an FBI office in a Pennsylvania suburb on the night of the first Ali-Frazier fight. They sent newspapers copies of the damning files they seized, spurring J. Edgar Hoover to shut down the program.

If the FBI revives its COINTELPRO-style targeting and mass subversion, would Americans have to wait until 2036 to learn of the scandal?

Power-hungry presidents have perennially portrayed their critics as public nuisances, but the Biden administration seems hellbent on doing far more than finger-wagging. Perhaps the feds will overreach and finally awaken more Americans to the peril of letting their rulers judge their thoughts.

In the meantime, prudent dissidents and wily cynics will avoid writing anything in an email that they don’t want to hear read out loud in federal court.
