Behavioral control – by Robert W Malone MD, MS

Robert W Malone MD, MS

Remember those Johns Hopkins Pandemic war games that occurred over the span of decades? Where the outcome usually ended in a need to control the populace, by which behavioral modification techniques are used to enforce cooperation from the populace.

Right now, one can wander over to Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security and see their current projects include an analysis of “anti-misinformation actions’“, which they call the Environment of Misinformation.

World leaders, governments, big media, big pharma and tech giants are busy planning out the next pandemic response. So, maybe it is time for those of us who believe there is a better way to live than to be controlled, to plan out responses to all these draconian measures. As well as to begin to develop counter measures to a bio-threat that do not use censorship, propaganda, mandates and behavioral modification techniques. You know, the old fashioned way where the government relies on people to use their own critical thinking skills to assess what is best for themselves and their families, after getting all the information available.

So, let’s climb aboard and let’s have a think about how “we” are being controlled, nudged, censored and lied to during this pandemic, and to be aware that governments are already planning how to control us better in the next.

Definition: psyops (From the US Department of Defense)

“Psyops are the use of propaganda and psychological tactics to influence emotions and behaviors.”

The US Department of Defense (DOD) 2004 and 2010 Counterinsurgency Operations Reports define “psyops” as the following:

“The mission of psychological Operations (psyops) is to influence the behavior of foreign target audiences to support US national objectives. A psyop accomplishes this by conveying selected information and advising on actions that influence the emotions, motives, objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of foreign audiences. Behavioral change is at the root of the psyop mission.”

Read that last sentence again. Behavioral change is at the root of the psyop mission.” Sound familiar?

At the heart of a psyops operations are behavioral tools or mind control techniques such as hypnosis, mass formation, censorship, security theater, use of fear to drive anxiety and propaganda.

How does our military use psyops?

“DELIBERATELY DECEIVE

Military deception missions use psychological warfare to deliberately mislead enemy forces during a combat situation.

INFLUENCE WITH INFORMATION

Military Information Support Operations (MISO) missions involve sharing specific information to foreign audiences to influence the emotions, motives, reasoning, and behavior of foreign governments and citizens. This can include cyber warfare and advanced communication techniques across all forms of media.

ADVISE GOVERNMENTS

Interagency and government support missions shape and influence foreign decision making and behaviors in support of United States’ objectives.

PROVIDE COMMUNICATIONS FOR RESCUE EFFORTS

Civil Authorities Information Support (CAIS) missions aid civilian populations during disaster relief situations by sharing critical information to support the rescue effort.

What is the history of Army Psychological Operations?

Founded during World War I to devastate opposing troops’ morale, the PSYOPS unit has played a critical role in World War II, the Vietnam War, and recent operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, where unconventional warfare provided by PSYOPS has been crucial to national security.”

What is nudging?

“A nudge is any attempt at influencing people’s judgment, choice or behavior in a predictable way that is motivated because of cognitive boundaries, biases, routines, and habits in individual and social decision-making posing barriers for people to perform rationally in their own self-declared interests, and which works by making use of those boundaries, biases, routines, and habits as integral parts of such attempts.”

And now – for the fly in the toilet…

Big Pharma CEO Blows a Hole in Vaccine Mandates – American Thinker

Posted by M. C. on January 19, 2022

Yet the left keeps pushing COVID vaccine mandates, despite the Pfizer CEO, CDC Director, and the US Supreme Court saying, perhaps in a roundabout way, that they are of no benefit. Hopefully, the Supreme Court’s trend continues, with a thoughtful analysis of our public measures, following the science rather than simply saying “do this because I say so.”

https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2022/01/big_pharma_ceo_blows_a_hole_in_vaccine_mandates.html

Brian C. Joondeph, M.D.

Vaccine mandates are one of many stifling measures brought on by the ongoing COVID pandemic, a consequence of those trying to “follow the science” and doing anything but or of government and bureaucrat officials using the opportunity to flex their authoritarian muscles. Whether they serve a useful societal function is an open question.

The CDC website cites a book chapter by research scholars Kevin Malone and Alan Hinman that describes vaccine mandates as a means of “drastically reducing infectious diseases in the United States.” Mandates present a challenge “when societal interest conflicts with the individual’s interest.” With vaccine mandates, there is the assumption that “Increased immunization rates result in significantly decreased risk for disease.”

According to the chapter,

Although no remaining unimmunized individual can be said to be free of risk from the infectious disease, the herd effect generated from high immunization rates significantly reduces the risk for disease for those individuals. Additional benefit is conferred on the unimmunized person because avoidance of the vaccine avoids the risk for any adverse reactions associated with the vaccine. As disease rates drop, the risks associated with the vaccine come even more to the fore, providing further incentive to avoid immunization. Thus, when an individual in this common chooses to go unimmunized, it only minimally increases the risk of illness for that individual, while conferring on that person the benefit of avoiding the risk of vaccine induced side effects.

Herd immunity, a term that can get one banned from social media and polite society, is the key. Both vaccines and natural infection can achieve herd immunity. Once herd immunity is reached, the risk-benefit ratio pivots from less benefit for every last person being vaccinated to more risk from vaccine adverse effects. This is the logical way infectious diseases have been approached in the past, until COVID apparently changed relatively settled science regarding vaccines, masks, distancing, and mandates.

The above premise assumes that the vaccine in question prevents contracting and transmitting the underlying infectious disease. Or as the chapter describes, “An important characteristic of most vaccines is that they provide both individual and community protection.”

Are the COVID vaccines providing both individual and community protection? If they are, then a case may be made for vaccine mandates although that is debatable. If not, then such mandates make no sense.

An excellent person to ask is Albert Bourla, the CEO of Pfizer, the largest COVID vaccine maker. In a recent Yahoo Finance interview, Bourla let the cat out of the vaccine bag,

And we know that the two doses of the vaccine offer very limited protection, if any. The three doses, with the booster, they offer reasonable protection against hospitalization and deaths—and, again, that’s, I think, very good—and less protection against the infection.

recommended by LowerMyBillsOwe Under $548k? Use A Gov GSEs Mortgage Relief Program To RefiFind out more

“Limited protection if any,” is not a strong endorsement. It’s a polite way of saying two doses of the vaccine don’t work as previously described and promised. And with a booster, the protection becomes “reasonable.” He didn’t say robust or excellent, only reasonable, meaning that there is limited benefit. And it’s a benefit to the individual, not to other people.

An umbrella provides “limited protection if any” in a hurricane and a raincoat offers “reasonable” protection but, in both cases, you will get soaked and blown around.

YouTube screen grab.

I must add the standard and necessary disclaimer that I am not anti-vaccine, having been personally fully vaccinated. Nor am I offering medical advice, only an analysis of this recent news item. Any vaccine decisions should be between you and your physician based on a thoughtful analysis of risks and benefits, as is standard for any medical intervention.

When Big Pharma doesn’t believe its own spin anymore, though, why should anyone else?

Boiling the Frog – Doug Casey’s International Man

Posted by M. C. on January 19, 2022

https://internationalman.com/articles/boiling-the-frog/

by Jeff Thomas

boiling the frog

“There was, of course, no way of knowing whether you were being watched at any given moment. How often, or on what system, The Thought Police plugged in on any individual wire was guesswork. It was even conceivable that they watched everybody all the time. But at any rate, they could plug in your wire whenever they wanted to. You had to live – did live, from habit that became instinct – in the assumption that every sound you made was overheard, and, except in darkness, every move was scrutinized.”

The above quote is from “1984,” by George Orwell. The now-famous date that Orwell chose was actually of no real significance. He simply reversed the last two digits of the year in which he wrote the book, 1948. Orwell concerned himself less with timeline than with concept. And that concept has been chillingly accurate in its foresight.

The quote above should ring alarm bells in today’s world, particularly for those who live in the US, as the US government leads the world in the development of surveillance of its people.

Today, the US government is in the process of completing a massive electronic surveillance network that encompasses all telephone calls, all computer-driven communication, and all banking transactions. Quite a tribute to Orwell’s Big Brother.

We have in the past predicted that the surveillance net will eventually expand to include all monetary transactions by US residents (possibly through the replacement of the paper dollar by an electronic money system), allowing the US government to ultimately have knowledge of every aspect of the economic activities of US residents and, therefore, control over those activities.

The excuse given for such surveillance has been “to protect America from terrorism.” This notion is a wonderful invention, as terrorism can be imagined to be small or large and can occur at anytime, anywhere in the country. Further, if there are no actual occurrences, the government can create false flag incidents as easily and as often as they are needed.

The bogeyman of “terrorism” is particularly useful, as terrorism is faceless. No invasion is necessary. A terrorist can be anyoneeven your next door neighbour and, indeed, the government computers are programmed to pay especially close heed to specific words and phrases, such as “freedom” or “patriotism.” Should your next door neighbour use such words in his emails, he is more likely to be flagged.

The degree of surveillance that Orwell described in 1984 has not yet been reached, but it is not far off. Most importantly, though, the most essential aspect of its implementation has already been overcomethe aspect of popular acceptance. The American people, in the main, have successfully been sold the concept that it is necessary in order to keep Americans “safe from terrorism.”

With this green light, the US government is moving rapidly toward the completion of the implementation of full surveillance.

Texas synagogue gunman was known to British intelligence: Report

Posted by M. C. on January 19, 2022

If only Akram had taken his mask off in the airplane that MI5 permitted him to board he would have been arrested for something serious.

MI5 investigated Malik Faisal Akram in 2020 but he was no longer considered a risk at the time of the attack, BBC says.

The suspected gunman who took four people hostage at a Texas synagogue was known to the United Kingdom’s domestic intelligence service, the BBC has reported.

Frank Gardner, the British broadcaster’s security correspondent, said on Tuesday that MI5 was aware of Malik Faisal Akram, who they reportedly investigated in 2020 as a “subject of interest”.

At the time Akram flew to the United States, he was no longer considered a risk, Gardner said in a tweet.

Malik Faisal Akram the #texassynagogue hostage-taker, was known to MI5 and was investigated in 2020. He was assessed to be no longer a risk at the time he flew to US at New Year.

— Frank Gardner (@FrankRGardner) January 18, 2022

Akram, a 44-year-old British national from Blackburn, a northern English town, was shot dead on Saturday after an hours-long standoff with police at the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue, near Fort Worth.

Authorities have declined to say who shot him, saying the case was still under investigation. They have not said how or when Akram entered the US, but reports citing unnamed police sources suggest he arrived in the country via New York’s JFK International Airport about two weeks ago.

The four people he is alleged to have held hostage were eventually freed, unharmed, after the ordeal that started after 11am (17:00 GMT) local time and concluded at about 9pm (03:00 GMT).

The FBI has launched an investigation.

US President Joe Biden, who labelled the attack an “act of terror”, said Akram was believed to have bought the weapons used in the incident “on the street” after arriving from the UK.

British police said “counterterrorism” officers had arrested two teenagers on Sunday in connection with the case, though no charges against the pair have been announced yet.

‘There was nothing we could have done’

On Sunday, Akram’s brother Gulbar said his sibling was mentally unwell.

During the standoff, Akram’s relatives were at Blackburn police station liaising with Faisal, the negotiators, and the FBI.

Healthy High School Kid Fakes Mental Illness So He Can Fit In With Everyone Else

Posted by M. C. on January 19, 2022

https://babylonbee.com/news/high-school-loser-doesnt-even-have-any-mental-illnesses

POCATELLO, ID—A freshman student at Sacagawea High School doesn’t have any mental illnesses, sadly making him a loser nobody can relate to. The 15-year-old student, whose name has not been released to the public, doesn’t have ADD, OCD, anxiety disorder, gender dysphoria, or even schizophrenia, say school counselors.

“Who?” asked classmate Sylvia Rodriguez, who sits next to the young man in 3rd period English. “Oh, that guy? He’s a looooser! He doesn’t even see a therapist!”

A recent survey of students confirmed that over 80% of the student body had no idea who the loser was, and those who did found him boring and unrelatable.

Principal Andrew Johnson expressed concern on behalf of the loser student. “We try to make everyone feel welcome here. School is hard enough without being an unpopular outcast, but there’s only so much I can do for [the boy],” he said. “He’s white, emotionally stable, cisgendered, has two great parents, and doesn’t even think COVID is an incredibly deadly disease that will murder his whole family. No wonder he has no friends!”

Sources say the young man has taken to faking mental illness in order to make himself seem more relatable. Instead of talking with his friends about movies and baseball, he strikes up conversations about his pronouns and the latest medications he’s taking. In order to seem more convincing, he has also started dying his hair and wearing makeup while wearing a space alien costume.

His parents expressed concern over the direction their son was going but were quickly investigated by the FBI as possible domestic terrorists.

The young man is being encouraged by teachers to keep “living his truth,” even if it’s not his truth at all.

Coal, here today, here tomorrow (Part 1) – CFACT

Posted by M. C. on January 18, 2022

Next week we will offer additional data pointing out reality is moving in the opposite direction of ridiculous government policy and the American electorate are hopefully waking up to this fact as part of the Biden Administration’s energy policy. Why would one vote for a House of Representatives candidate who supports a damaging and absurd idea for where the nation’s energy policy should be constructed?

https://www.cfact.org/2022/01/17/coal-here-today-here-tomorrow-part-1/

By Dr. Jay Lehr, Robert Lyman

As we will most certainly convince the reader in this series of essays, we need not ever worry that coal will be eliminated as a major energy source in the US and the world. We simultaneously want to convince you that we are not talking about your grandfather’s coal plant.

Years ago, if you drove past a coal fired plant you saw a gray cloud emerging from its exhaust tower. The color was caused by fly ash and a few other byproducts of burning coal. More often today, a billowing cloud is white and made up mostly of water vapor. This is a result of considerable investment made by coal plant owners in emission control equipment. Clean power plants did not happen overnight.

Some of the first environmental controls implemented around the world were electrostatic precipitators, which remove fly ash from the exhaust gases. That fly ash now passes through electrically charged plates which pull the fly ash particles out of the stream. When the plates are full, the fly ash is moved to a hopper at the bottom of the plates. The process removes 99% of the particles created by burning coal. The process works much the same way in which an automobile’s catalytic converter removes nitrogen oxide from engine exhaust. Most coal plants continuously monitor the composition of their emissions and thus how well their environmental controls are working.

Another coal burning byproduct is sulfur dioxide (SO2) which was once incorrectly thought to significantly contribute to acid rain. This is now commonly removed by what are called scrubbers, which are simply large tanks of crushed limestone and water. The exhaust gases are sent to the bottom of this limestone slurry. As the gases bubble up, the calcium in the limestone reacts with the SO2 to form water and gypsum which is recycled and sold to wall board manufacturers. In fact, this is so successful that many worry that were coal plants to be eliminated wall board manufacturers would be in economic difficulty finding as good a source for their gypsum (hydrated calcium sulphate CASO4). They need not worry, the elimination or even reduction of coal use is a pipe dream of the Marxist element throughout the world hoping to succeed where Lenin, Stalin, Chavez and Castro failed, turning the world into a communist stronghold. They all ignored where we the people stand.

Ever since the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in 2018 published its highly controversial Special Report on limiting the growth in global temperatures to no more than 1.5 degrees Celsius this century, the alarm it generated has led several governments to embrace the thesis that global greenhouse gas emissions must be reduced effectively to zero by 2050. A key component of the “pathway’ to this objective, it is claimed, is to eliminate the use of coal for power generation everywhere in the world. It is hard to believe government leaders who are not the Marxist driving forces are so stupid as to think we can continue our ever improving standard of living without coal or that they can replace it with ever undependable wind and solar.  Is anyone not aware that the sun does not always shine nor the wind always blow?

The magnitude of the challenge involved and its enormous cost have not dimmed the enthusiasm of the proponents. According to the British Petroleum Statistical Handbook of World Energy 2021, global coal consumption in 2020 was 151 exajoules, 27% of primary energy consumption. This means that, after oil, coal is the most important supplier of the modern world’s energy needs. Most coal is consumed in the generation of electricity. In 2020, coal-fired plants generated 9,421 terawatt-hours which is a trillion watt-hours (TWh) of electricity, 35% of the global total, and the largest share provided by any fuel. Many billions of dollars are invested in currently operating coal plants. Eliminating them in 28 years is both imbecilic and impossible

The purpose of this series of articles is to explore the likelihood of their fantasy occurring by examining the current and near-term trends in the construction of new coal-fired plants.

Current Coal-Fired Generation Capacity

Table 1 may help to clarify the current global situation in terms of the location and generation capacity of coal plants in the fifteen countries where they play the largest role.

TABLE 1

Coal-Fired Electricity Generation Capacity by Country in 2021

Country Capacity (MW)

China            1,042,947

India              229,247

U.S.                223,621

Taiwan           18,873

Turkey            18,113

 Source: Global Energy Monitor

Readers should note three important points from Table 1. First is the enormous role played by China in global coal consumption; China alone accounts for just over half the world’s coal generating capacity. Second, reliance on coal for power is spread across several countries, largely because of its advantages in terms of cost and security of supply. Third, coal-fired generation is concentrated in Asia, with about 71% of the world’s operating capacity. The OECD countries, which are the main ones whose political leaders have made climate policy a major priority, play a relatively small role.

Over the period 2015 to 2020, over 437,000 GW (Gigawatts which is billions of watts) of new coal-fired capacity has entered service. China has played the major role in that growth. In 2020 alone, China commissioned 38.4 GW of new coal plants, comprising 76% of the global total. Outside China, 11.9 GW of new coal capacity was added. India added 2 GW, Japan 2 GW, Germany 1.1 GW Poland 0.9 GW and South Africa 0.8 GW.

Of Two Minds – Politics Is Dead, Here’s What Killed It

Posted by M. C. on January 18, 2022

To cloak their betrayal and treachery, the parties have pursued a divide-and-conquer distraction game, pushing half the nation into one-size-fits-all “enemies lists” with labels that have lost all meaning other than as means to promote divisiveness and rancor: Liberal and Conservative, socialist and capitalist, etc.

These three betrayals of public trust and representational democracy caused the demise of politics as a solution to social and economic problems. “Politics” has been stripped to its essence: an invitation-only auction of elections and political favors. The price to watch from the rear of the auction is $1 million; to actually place a bid, the minimum is $10 million, but the winning bids are generally much higher.

https://www.oftwominds.com/blogjan22/politics-dead1-22.html

Here’s “politics” in America now: come with mega-millions or don’t even bother to show up.

Representational democracy–a.k.a. politics as a solution to social and economic problems–has passed away. It did not die a natural death. Politics developed a cancer very early in life (circa the early 1800s), caused by wealth outweighing public opinion. This cancer spread slowly but metastasized in the past few decades, spreading to every nook and cranny of our society and economy as “democracy” devolved into an invitation-only auction of elections and political favors.

Politics might have had a fighting chance but three forces betrayed the nation and its citizenry.

1. The Federal Reserve transferred trillions of dollars of unearned wealth into the feeding troughs of the super-wealthy and corporations, vastly increasing the wealth the top 0.01% had to buy elections and favors. The Federal Reserve cloaked its treachery with jargon– quantitative easing, stimulus, etc.–and then stabbed the nation’s representational democracy in the back.

2. The Supreme Court betrayed the nation’s representative democracy by labeling corporations buying elections and political favors a form of “free speech.” (Please don’t hurt yourself laughing too hard.) The Supreme Court’s equating wealth buying elections and favors with individual citizens’ sacrosanct right of free speech was a knife in the back of the nation and its citizenry.

3. The two political parties betrayed their traditional voter bases to kneel at the altar of corporate / elite wealth, wealth which bought elections and political favors. The Democrats, traditional champions of the workforce in the 20th century, abandoned workers in favor of serving their corporate masters, masking their betrayal with fine-sounding phrases.

The Republican Party, traditionally promoters of Big Business (Wall Street, banks, mega-corporations), had maintained a narrow but crucial interest in trust-busting (limiting monopolies) to defend free enterprise and small business from the predations of monopolies and cartels. Those days are long past; just as the Democratic Party tossed the working class overboard to the sharks, the Republican Party walked small business off the gangplank right into the voracious jaws of cartels and globalized, financialized corporate sharks.

It’s not the citizenry who are “deplorable,” it’s the parties’ corporate-derriere-kissing toadies, lackeys, apparatchiks, purveyors of propaganda, enforcers, apologists, sycophants, grifters and “leaders” who manage to greatly increase their private wealth while “serving the public” (heh).

(Lobbying, campaign contributions, bogus think-tanks, and philanthro-capitalist foundations are all part of the auction funding.)

Here’s “politics” in America now: come with mega-millions or don’t even bother to show up. Choose which “enemies list” you want to be on; there’s not much choice. And don’t forget to put a flower on the grave of representational democracy.

Omicron Vaccine To Be Made Available In March For The 12 People Who Haven’t Gotten Omicron Yet | The Babylon Bee

Posted by M. C. on January 18, 2022

https://babylonbee.com/news/omicron-vaccine-to-be-made-available-in-march-for-the-12-people-who-havent-gotten-omicron-yet

U.S—Pfizer has reiterated their commitment to the release of a new Omicron vaccine in March, just in time for the twelve people who haven’t already gotten sick and recovered.

“We intend to save lives,” said Derrick Pfizer while meeting with CDC officials. “Sure, Omicron is spreading so fast that it will have probably run through the majority of people by then, but this is no laughing matter. The dozen or so people who haven’t had it yet will have a vaccine available so they don’t have to deal with a mild cold that puts them out of work for a week.”

Experts at the CDC removed additional safety requirements from vaccine development to try and get it out the door sooner but admitted there was only so much they could do to bypass government regulation.

“There are hundreds of government regulations to consider,” insisted a sputtering Dana Tacoa, a spokesperson for the government agency. “We’re only comfortable ignoring protocol for in-depth human testing. We have to risk the lives of every man, woman, and child so we can save the handful who don’t have natural immunity yet.”

When asked why scientists were working so hard on a vaccine that would be rendered useless by herd immunity Derrick Pfizer calmly reassured the public.

“Don’t worry, we’re not working that hard,” he said.

Remember how health authorities said serious vaccine side effects always will be seen fast?

Posted by M. C. on January 18, 2022

Turns out that’s not true… as Pfizer (and its veterinarian chief executive) should know better than anyone.

Scientists would discover that the vaccine caused some cows to produce “alloantibodies.” The immune system make antibodies to attack foreign invaders in the body, but alloantibodies attack our own red blood cells instead.

These alloantibodies did not attack red blood cells in the dams – the mother cows – but when the calves received them through colostrum they caused terrible damage.

https://alexberenson.substack.com/p/remember-how-health-authorities-said

Alex Berenson

In 2010, German scientists found that a Pfizer veterinary vaccine to reduce diarrhea in cows caused a fatal bleeding disease in their calves.

Even after pressure from Germany caused Pfizer to stop selling the vaccine there, the company kept selling it elsewhere. A top Pfizer official told British farmers it was safe to use and that “other factors” were likely involved.

A month later, Pfizer stopped selling the vaccine. European regulators later found it caused a 1-in-6000 risk of the bleeding disease. “For a prophylactic measure such as vaccination this figure was considered unacceptable for a potentially fatal disorder,” the regulators found.

The risk of Covid-vaccine induced myocarditis – which can be fatal – in young men is now estimated at somewhere between 1 in 2000 and 1 in 3000.

Apparently the rules are stricter for cows.

SOURCE: https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/documents/referral/pregsure-bvd-article-78-referral-annexes-i-ii_en.pdf

Six weeks after the final dose is plenty of time to discover serious vaccine side effects. Two months is more than adequate. Three is unnecessary.

Both before and after the mRNA Covid vaccines were authorized in 2020, regulators, politicians, and the media insisted on this point. Long-term safety data were not necessary for authorization – because vaccine side effects happen and are caught fast.

According to the Centers for Disease Control: Side effects generally happen within six weeks of receiving a vaccine dose…

SOURCE: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/expect/after.html

Thus the Food and Drug Administration was actually being conservative when it told Pfizer and Moderna to follow at least half the people who had received the second mRNA dose in their clinical trials for 60 days, vaccine advocates said. At an online conference in October 2020, Dr. Peter Marks, the agency’s top vaccine regulator, said he believed two months was a reasonable standard given the severity of the pandemic and the rarity of long-term vaccine side effects.

That standard meant that fewer than 20,000 people who received mRNA vaccines would be tracked for two months or more – for vaccines that have now been given more than one billion people worldwide.

Dr. Marks of the FDA (from his basement), explaining his views on the amount of time required to be sure a vaccine is safe after its dosing is completed:

“ESG” = Extreme Shortages Guaranteed! – CFACT

Posted by M. C. on January 18, 2022

The IEA report points out that the demand growth for plastics and fertilizer are outpacing the demand growth for steel, aluminum, and cement. Petrochemical product demand has nearly doubled since 2000 and the U.S. and Europe use twenty times as much plastic and ten times as much fertilizer as India, Indonesia, and other developing countries on a per-capita basis. A decarbonized world without the three fossil fuels of coal, natural gas, and crude oil CANNOT manufacture any of those petrochemicals from a wind turbine or solar panel.

https://www.cfact.org/2022/01/17/esg-extreme-shortages-guaranteed/

By Ronald Stein

The Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors climbing up the agenda in the banking industry would have banks divest in fossil fuels.  This would lead toward a world like that in the 1800’s, the last time the world was “decarbonized”.

Back in the 1800’s, we had no coal or natural gas power plants, and we had not discovered crude oil as something that could be manufactured into usable products. Life was hard and dirty, and most people never traveled 100-200 miles from where they were born, and life expectancy was short.

Today, there is a lost reality that the primary usage of crude oil is NOT for the generation of electricity, but to manufacture derivatives and fuels which are the ingredients of everything needed by economies and lifestyles to exist and prosper. Energy realism requires that the legislators, policymakers, and media that demonstrate pervasive ignorance about crude oil usage understand the staggering scale of the decarbonization movement.

The efforts to cease the use of crude oil could be the greatest threat to civilization, not climate change, resulting in billions of fatalities from diseases, malnutrition, and weather-related deaths.

In the worldwide frenzy to achieve the goal for “net zero” emissions, over the last 5-10 years, “ESG”–standing for Environmental Social Governance–has gone from an acronym that virtually no one knew or cared about, to a cultishly embraced top priority of financial regulators, markets, and institutions around the world. Today, the ESG divesting efforts are applying to all 3 fossil fuels of coal, natural gas, and crude oil.

The Net-Aero Banking Alliance developed with the support from the United Nations, now includes seven of the largest and most influential banks in the United States, including BOA, Citi, J.P. Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, and Amalgamated Bank.

Allowing banks to collude to reshape economies so that they are in line with the preferences of banks and other financial institution is a very dangerous precedent. The American people never voted to give banks this sort of control over our country.

The domino effects from tinkering with the supply chain of crude oil, is supply shortages and soaring prices for thousands of products that support the economies of the world. Products based on oil are the basis of the entire medical industry, all branches of the military, airports, electronics, communications, merchant ships, container ships, and cruise liners, as well as asphalt for roads, and fertilizers to help feed the world. Fossil fuel shortages encourage inflation as it imposes serious damage on the energy and raw materials infrastructures.

Climate alarmism seems to be inexhaustible and if history is any guide, ESGers admitting their mistakes and rushing to undo the damage is not at the top of the list of likely responses. Thus, by divesting in crude oil infrastructure we can look forward to supply shortages of thousands of products manufactured from oil and crippling power prices and unreliable supplies to meet the demands of society.

The oil products that reduced infant mortality, extended longevity to more than 80+ and allowed the world to populate from 1 to 8 billion in less than two centuries, is now required to provide the food, medical, and communications to maintain and grow that population. How can world leaders consciously support the demise of crude oil that would take us back to the 1800’s when life was hard, dirty, and short?

Today, with all the products manufactured from oil, according to the United Nations the global population of centenarians 100 years old or older is projected to grow from more than 500,000 in 2021, to exceed 2 billion in 2050.

We already know that the poorer developing countries, currently without the usage of the 20th century products manufactured from crude oil, are experiencing about 11,000,000 child deaths every year due to the unavailability of the fossil fuel products used in wealthy countries.

More than 70 per cent of those child fatalities in developing countries are attributable to six causes: diarrhea, malaria, neonatal infection, pneumonia, preterm delivery, or lack of oxygen at birth. About 29,000 children under the age of five – 21 each minute – die every day, mainly from preventable causes.

Without replacements for those derivatives manufactured from crude oil, there will be gigantic reductions in living standards of the population in the current healthy and wealthy countries as the world migrates back to the pre-1900 era, and any attempt to develop the colonial countries would come to a dead stop.

“Net zero” will be taking us back to a time before 1900 when the world had not yet discovered the benefits to society from the 3 fossil fuels. Net-zero policies are demonstrably precipitating ever more serious, unsustainable socio-economic and environmental damage, with several advanced economies routinely experiencing blackouts, and steeply escalating electricity prices that are leading to class-based electricity poverty, excess winter deaths, organized social and political pushback and ever more violent confrontations.

Before the 1900’s we had NONE of the products used in the medical industry nor any of the 6,000 products from oil and petroleum products. By ceasing oil production and fracking, the supply chain to refineries will be severed and there will no need for refineries as they will have no crude oil supply to manufacture derivatives and into transportation fuels demanded by the world’s heavy-weight and long-range infrastructures of aviation, merchant ships, cruise ships, and militaries.

Divesting is already impacting supply shortages of jet fuel as reported by Energy Information Administration (EIA), as less production and more demand have reduced U.S. jet fuel inventories since 2014 for the 23,000 commercial airplanes and 20,000 Private jets.

As Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) divesting in fossil fuels progresses, the short memories of petrochemicals’ golden goose contributions to societies are leading the world to an era of Extreme Shortages Guaranteed (ESG) like we had in the decarbonized world in the 1800’s!
