U.S. Lawmakers Seek to Criminally Outlaw Support for Boycott Campaign Against Israel

U.S. Lawmakers Seek to Criminally Outlaw Support for Boycott Campaign Against Israel

THE CRIMINALIZATION OF political speech and activism against Israel has become one of the gravest threats to free speech in the West.

But now, a group of 43 senators — 29 Republicans and 14 Democrats — wants to implement a law that would make it a felony for Americans to support the international boycott against Israel, which was launched in protest of that country’s decades-old occupation of Palestine.

Anyone guilty of violating the prohibitions will face a minimum civil penalty of $250,000 and a maximum criminal penalty of $1 million and 20 years in prison. Read the rest of this entry »

Why Not a Probe of ‘Israel-gate’? – Consortiumnews

Posted by M. C. on April 22, 2017

https://consortiumnews.com/2017/04/20/why-not-a-probe-of-israel-gate/

Well-respected members, such as Rep. Paul Findley and Sen. Charles Percy (both Republicans from Illinois), were early victims of the Israeli lobby’s wrath when they opened channels of communication with the Palestine Liberation Organization in the cause of seeking peace. Findley was targeted and defeated in 1982; Percy in 1984.

Since then, there have been fewer and fewer members of Congress or other American politicians who have dared to speak out, judging that – when it comes to the Israeli lobby – discretion is the better part of valor. Today, many U.S. pols grovel before the Israeli government seeking a sign of favor from Prime Minister Netanyahu, almost like Medieval kings courting the blessings of the Pope at the Vatican.

In some European circles, the neocons are described as “Israel’s American agents,” which may somewhat overstate the direct linkage between Israel and the neocons although a central tenet of neocon thinking is that there must be no daylight between the U.S. and Israel.

I hear the flavor of Israeli boot leather is outstanding.

The True Cost of Israel | The American Conservative

Posted by M. C. on April 14, 2017

http://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/the-true-cost-of-israel/

Professors Stephen Walt and John Mearsheimer to ask, “Why has the U.S. been willing to set aside its own security … in order to advance the interests of another state? [No] explanation can account for the remarkable level of material and diplomatic support that the U.S. provides.”

Since the foundation of the state of Israel in 1948, it has been “the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign assistance since World War II,”  according to the Congressional Research Service. The United States has provided Israel with $233.7 billion in adjusted for inflation aid between 1948 through the end of 2012, reports Haaretz.

the U.S. House of Representatives for significantly bolstering its support of U.S.-Israel missile defense cooperation in the FY 2017 defense appropriations bill. The House appropriated $600.7 million for U.S.-Israel missile defense programs.” And there is a long history of such special funding for Israeli-connected projects. The Iron Dome missile-defense system was largely funded by the United States, to the tune of more than $1 billion. In the 1980s, the Israeli Lavi jet-fighter development program was funded by Washington, costing $2 billion to the U.S. taxpayer before it was terminated over technical and other problems, part of $5.45 billion in Pentagon funding of various Israeli weapons projects through 2002.

In 1992, AIPAC President James Steiner bragged how he “got almost a billion dollars in other goodies [in negotiations with Secretary of State Jim Baker] that people don’t even know about.”

In September 2012, Israel’s former commander-in-chief, Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, admitted at a conference that between 2009 and 2012 American taxpayers had paid for more of his country’s defense budget than had Israeli taxpayers

This fancy lady is too high maintenance. Time for a no-fault D.I.V.O.R.C.E.

Dominatrix AIPAC calls the shots in Washington. If you willingly submit the election skids are greased. If you don’t do as commanded you are out.

The quickest way to lose your govt/media job is to say something against Israel.

The taste of Israeli bootleather must be sweet.

It’s The Government Martha

Posted by M. C. on December 30, 2016

Today I had a silly exchange with a commenter on Aussieconservative who didn’t care for my opinion of Benjamin Netanyahu nor the Israeli government. While making up things I said and he said I was accused of anti-semitism. I sarcastically accused this person of being an Israeli troll.

I give myself too much credit in that respect.  I am more concerned with my own government than the Aussie equivalent of AIPAC. Which cleverly leads us to my point.

I believe those criticizing say Israel, Germany, the US et al speak of governments, not the mundane citizen.

It is government and it’s lapdog media that convince young people invading countries on the other side of the planet that have not attacked US or droning wedding parties protects our freedom at home.

When is the last time the MSM allowed Seymour Hersch to be heard? Read the rest of this entry »

A Memorial Day Thought to Ponder: How Sykes-Picot Led to Americans Soldiers Dying For Israel

Posted by M. C. on May 28, 2013

Memorial day reminds me our brave soldiers are not meant to be dying for AIPAC controlled foreign policy and oil pipelines to the Caspian Sea.

I don’t know about you but I grew weary of Americans dying for Israel and Halliburton some time ago.  One of my favorite historians explains how it all started here.

Current troubles in the Middle East things began during and immediately after WWI.  Lies and secret treaties by the West and Russia caused people and countries to be thrown into unnatural marriages that could only be held together by harsh rule and cruel dictators. Our Arab allies were led down the garden path with promises of land for their help.  They got stiffed for their trouble.  Creating a home for the future state of Israel was a large part of the program.   Read the rest of this entry »

Does The Erie-times News Think We Are That Stupid/Senator Casey Flips Over Nagging Wife

Posted by M. C. on December 23, 2012

The Erie Times editorial of 23 Dec advocates more gun control laws in the wake of Sandy Hook.  No surprise there, they are an anti-gun paper.

Pat Cuneo is the editorial voice. ’nuff said?

The mainstream media and government is concentrating on gun control. To paraphrase myself in the last post, we had a high school hunting club where many brought rifles and shotguns to school, hunting before and after school. The only gun violence we heard about was massacres in Viet Nam.

 What is different now?

Alternative media, primarily Libertarian and paleo-conservative, have the same question and are looking elsewhere. Violent movies, violent computer games, the psychiatry biz and their friends the pharmaceutical industry.

How many of these whackos are on a mental health drugs that makes them kill crazy?

Why isn’t the Times addressing this?

The paper advised us to vote for a progressive, corporatist, anti-capitalist candidate in Obama. The logical extension is this is the Times agenda also. You say “but the Times accepts gun sales advertising and has a hunting column”. That non-sequitur can be explained.

War With Iran By November?

Posted by M. C. on August 5, 2012

Don’t bet against it.  Obama will finish the job AIPAC Congress started.

Romney will too, if elected.  He will give away the farm to Israel. He promises to “back” a pre-emptive strike by Israel.  To Israel “backing” means US boots on the ground. Read the rest of this entry »

Romney Has Just Told Israel How Much We Love Them. Let Me Count The Ways I Don’t.

Posted by M. C. on July 30, 2012

The good ship Liberty – The Liberty was monitoring Israeli operations during the 7 day war.  When Israel was advancing far more than what was agreed to with the US, Israel decided to take out the Liberty along with a quite a few of the crew.  It was just an accident.

Jonathan Pollard – The Israeli spy who stole, among other things, our contingency plans against Russia.  Israel promptly sold these plans to Russia.  The Israeli Firsters are now pushing to get Pollard released. Read the rest of this entry »

H.R. 4133 – All Bow to Netanyahu

Posted by M. C. on May 17, 2012

The House has passed H.R. 4133, an AIPAC designed, Israel firster dream bill.  Ron Paul and John Dingell are the only reps that voted no in a limited debate, quick vote session.  There must be enough Muslims in Michigan to negate AIPAC.  Hmm… they are not so bad after all!  The bill, in a nutshell, obligates US to keeping the Israel defenses up to date, supplying a $1Billion missile defense system and has language that supports Israel’s membership in NATO.  We are of course obligated to defend fellow NATO members in time of (Iranian) war.  A major reason for the bill no doubt.  Defend Israel by ourselves because the US essentially is NATO.  The other members ran out of ammo playing in the Libyan sandbox.  We are to veto any resolutions, presumably the UN variety, critical of Israel.  The validity of the criticism is apparently irrelevant.  Demand your Senators to kill this.  Mine won’t.  Casey and Toomey are empire builders and not unfamiliar with the taste of Israeli boot leather.  The House once again kneels before President Netanyahu.  No doubt the other 101 lackeys in Washington will also.  See Philip Giraldi here.
