I was just reading again today about 18 “suspected” militants killed in a drone attack. All drone victims are now described as “suspected”. Can you imagine reading “Joe Smith, suspected criminal, was executed today”. That is real life in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Read the rest of this entry »

H.R. 4133 – All Bow to Netanyahu
Posted by M. C. on May 17, 2012
The House has passed H.R. 4133, an AIPAC designed, Israel firster dream bill. Ron Paul and John Dingell are the only reps that voted no in a limited debate, quick vote session. There must be enough Muslims in Michigan to negate AIPAC. Hmm… they are not so bad after all! The bill, in a nutshell, obligates US to keeping the Israel defenses up to date, supplying a $1Billion missile defense system and has language that supports Israel’s membership in NATO. We are of course obligated to defend fellow NATO members in time of (Iranian) war. A major reason for the bill no doubt. Defend Israel by ourselves because the US essentially is NATO. The other members ran out of ammo playing in the Libyan sandbox. We are to veto any resolutions, presumably the UN variety, critical of Israel. The validity of the criticism is apparently irrelevant. Demand your Senators to kill this. Mine won’t. Casey and Toomey are empire builders and not unfamiliar with the taste of Israeli boot leather. The House once again kneels before President Netanyahu. No doubt the other 101 lackeys in Washington will also. See Philip Giraldi here.
Be seeing you

Richard Cohen, like Michael Gerson, Fears Ron Paul
Posted by M. C. on January 7, 2012
I was about to visit Michael Gerson after his last tirade but that would get boring. Gerson’s obedient regurgitating of the Neo-Con war party dogma gets boring fast. Richard Cohen came to his rescue last week. Here. Cohen makes many accusations and I will try to intelligently respond where I can.
Cohen says RP would have let Nazi Germany take over Europe because he is “isolationist”. There are some that believe that if the U.S. had not entered WWI there would have been a stalemate. Read the rest of this entry »

I can’t believe I voted for the war monger Santorum
Posted by M. C. on December 11, 2011
Once in a while the radio gets boring and I switch to Sean Hannity for some light-hearted comedy after a grueling day at work. Rick Santorum was being interviewed, this being long before the election campaigning started. Our troops had just “discovered” a cache of empty gas cylinders somewhere in Iraq. George Will-Ron Paul is an Isolationist…Say What?
Posted by M. C. on December 8, 2011
George really through me for a loop when I read that in today’s Erie Times News. There are few if any isolationist countries. No one country is self-sufficient. The only ones close are Korea and they are propped up by China and Miyanmar (also known as Burma). By the way I live in Pennsylvania (also known as Penn’s Woods). Read the rest of this entry »

Obama lied-We are never leaving Iraq
Posted by M. C. on August 20, 2011
if you had any doubts they should have been put to bed by Leon Panetta. He recently declared we are staying in Iraq through 2012. Maliki denied this. Whether the denial is for show or not I don’t know. But I know the War Department is going to continually tell Iraq they want us to stay until they agree. Read the rest of this entry »

Edukashun-DEA style
Posted by M. C. on July 30, 2011
Mary Sanchez recently had a column taking Michelle Bachmann to task which illustrates the thinking that has us sliding toward disaster. Bachmann rightly advocates shutting down the Department of Education. Read the rest of this entry »

My first post. A letter to the Erie Times News sent regarding think tank piece.

Guest Voice Stephen Herzenberg was rehashing the same old stuff on the opinion page today. Paul Ryan’s plan to keep taxes low and cut services is bad. Yada yada yada.
