I agree with Robert Cogan’s recent Erie Times letter arguing that an attack on Iran is not in our interest. I say it is hardly necessary by anyone. Another ineptly conceived and implemented war and the resulting sky rocketing oil prices won’t do us any good. Pat Cuneo had the human interest column in today’s Erie Time Viewpoint page. He is really steamed over some Republicans “undermining the Obama administration’s peace efforts between Israel and Palestine”. I just don’t know where to start. Obama lied-We are never leaving Iraq

if you had any doubts they should have been put to bed by Leon Panetta. He recently declared we are staying in Iraq through 2012. Maliki denied this. Alison Weir talks about the 81 congresspersons that are going on a paid propaganda trip to Israel and asks why you didn’t read about it the paper. A refusal to participate means one may not be around in 2013. Our government and press is AIPAC’s lapdog. I first read “if you want to lose your job fast just question anything Israel does” when Carl Cameron told us about the Israel “Art Student” spies. When we go to war with Iran you will have a pretty good idea whose idea it was. Happy Reading

Last December our President offered a multi-billion dollar bribe in the form of F35 aircraft to Israel to stop
building settlements. Shortly thereafter Israel announced the settlements would not stop.
